This place rocks. Tried for the first time and it will be a regular. The food was fresh, hot and tasty. Can't wait to try their burger. You have to give them a try ASAP!! read more

Highly recommend this place for great food and service. I personally ordered the cheese steak sandwich while my friend ordered an avocado soft shell taco. My order was cooked to perfection with the bread toasted to a nice crunch and the rest of the ingredients were nicely caramelized. I'm not a major fan of most cheese steaks with extras like bell peppers as those are usually not integrated well with the rest of the dish. However, they did extremely well, cooking everything until it was soft enough so the flavors overlapped with each other to a delicious effect. My friend was similarly impressed by the taco he ordered, claiming it was one of the best he's had. I normally don't comment on service since it's not a big concern of mine, but they were truly exceptional for such a small lunch place. Both the cashier and the chefs were extremely friendly and checked in with us during the meal to see how we were doing. They even voluntarily split my order of fries into two plates so we could share more easily, I didn't even have to ask! TL;DR: Great food with great service read more

Clean cute with a nice diverse menu. We ordered a bunch of tacos. All worst good but the standout was the garlic shrimp. Small space so not good for groups. read more

Great food (steak sandwich and tuna taco) with fresh ingredients. It isn't cheap but it's good quality and food was ready in under five minutes. read more

Wow! This place is amazing! The food is incredible with a wonderful variety of flavors. We had the salmon salad and the cheesesteak both were great. The fries with the cheese sauce are a decadent treat. Staff is super friendly and love the clean open concept kitchen read more

Super yum. Amazing food - addicted to the Tuna Poke Salad. Always steal a few of my daughter's tater tots. Happy to have this as a local spot! read more

My fiancé and I decided to try this place out due to a recommendation. The cashier was really friendly and helpful since we told him it was our first time trying the food. I got the short rib and he got the chicken sandwich. All in all, really good ... only complaint were that my fries were very cold. read more

It's about time! Winnetka desperately needed a place like this and Stacked & Folded hit it out of the park. I had the Cheese Steak and it was amazing but the other sandwiches I saw being made looked pretty amazing as well so I will definitely be back soon to try the others. Owner is extremely friendly as are his staff. Interior is clean and well done. The food steals the show though. Great for locals to stop by or for others to make the trip to Winnetka (very much worth the trip). read more

Pesto chicken sandwich was well made and flavorful. Overall a really nice selection of menu items. Friendly staff too. My rating is 3 only because of cleanliness. Based on that I'm not sure I'd come back. Hope they can give the place a good wipe down. read more

Great variety of food, cooked fresh!! Great beer selection too which is a real plus for a plus for a Place like this. Looks small from the outside but there is actually plenty of seats inside. Staff are really friendly and nothing is too much trouble!! This place is sure to get very busy once word gets out..... Great valued kids menu and a couple of high chairs too in the corner so very kid friendly! Enjoy read more

As someone who's grown up on the north shore my entire life, it's really exciting to see a sandwich and salad place that does it right. The menu is simple yet interesting and the service is great. The guy who seems to be the owner is active and does everything in his power to make everyone's experience great. We went on a busy summer day and though the line was long, our food came out very fast. I ordered the ahi tuna poke salad and it was YUM. The other half got the chicken Parmesan sandwich and devoured it a little bit quicker than I could have blinked. We sat outside which was amazing but the inside is also super nice. The kitchen is open so you can watch your food being made. Cool! Overall I would absolutely recommend this to anyone in the area looking for a new regular spot for lunch (or dinner). read more

I have now tried three of their sandwiches and have yet to be disappointed! Each sandwich has a distinct flavor profile that delights. They use locally sourced meat from Hofherr Meat Co in Northfield, and the quality can be tasted in every bite. I especially enjoyed the Bulgogi Cheesesteak and the Short Rib Bahn Mi. The owner, Josh, is incredibly friendly and welcoming. I can't wait to go back and try the rest of the menu! read more

It's really hard to leave this restaurant unsatisfied, because of the variety of flavors and dishes. Plus the ability to get the dish as a sandwich, wrap or salad makes it so easy to find something you love. They pay attention to quality and creativity too, making it an unbeatable place for lunch or dinner. Pluses: variety of unique flavors, fresh ingredients, casual atmosphere. If you want a nice kick to tacos, the off-menu salsa cucina is amazing. Minuses: a bit crowded at peak lunch time but not at dinner. Bottom line: This restaurant could hold it's own anywhere, so I'm ecstatic that a casual restaurant with flavorful and inventive food is in MY neighborhood :D read more

Great place! Great food and nice drinks. A bit pricy and a bit cozy considering it's popularity but I definitely recommend.

Some of the most creative sandwiches and flavor combinations I've had n a long time. You can tell chef put his heart and experience in to creating this unique menu. Hats off to the french fries as well! read more

We were looking for some variety in our take-out lineup since we decided to eat in to watch the Cubs playoff game tonight. Boy, we are so happy we found this place. Ordered Ahi Poke salad and the Short Rib salad... So fresh and flavorful. Added the Steak and Cheese sandwich and sweet potato fries. Great choice! Very cute place though only a few tables plus bar seating. The cashier was very friendly and efficient. He was, or should be the owner or manager. We will be back. read more

Josh Keating is one of the owners (great guy), and they have created a really good menu. I rave about the cheese steak, the Korean short rib and the avocado taco. Try this place for a quick lunch or early dinner. They've got TV's, too. read more

Everything I've had here has been delicious and the service is always good and friendly. It's a little overpriced but I'm happy to support a good local joint whenever I can. Fun place to lunch outside on a nice day. read more

Very good sandwiches and salads. The pork belly sandwich and korean bbq salad are my faves. They also have tater tots. Be aware that they sometimes mix in stale tots with fresh ones (you can easily tell the difference), so it can be a bit hit or miss with those. Otherwise, I recommend. read more

Delicious tacos. Took the short drive over from Old Orchard since they had nice salad selection. Ended up getting tacos. Ordered Cajun salmon, al pastor and carne Asada tacos. I'd recommend getting 2 tacos for average eaters and 3 for big eaters. I'd recommend coming back and getting the fish tacos. The ingredients were fresh and meals were well put together with great combination of crunchy sweet and salty. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but I was a little underwhelmed. My family split the short rib bahn mi and the avocado, lamb, and pork tacos. For the most part the tacos were dry and lacked real flavor. I did order carry out, so I'll try it again when I can eat in and try it hot and fresh. read more

Good food, small portions. Service was kind as well. Expensive for the amount that you get. Sammiches are only 7 inches or so. Sweet potato fries were excellent! read more

Not bad, but not great either. We started off not impressed as we were ignored while we waited to get an open table. The place is tiny and we were the only ones waiting at the time, standing next to a sign that said Please Wait to be Seated. We grabbed the next open table on our own, as did others after us. My husband was impressed that the woman who took our order suggested small fries rather than large for the two of us. My husband loved his pork belly and egg sandwich. My Bahn mi was not right. The fact that it was not on a crispy baguette was the worst for me. The menu description even says that is how it is served. The meat was tasty, but did not have a Bahn mi flavor to it. The sandwich also lacked hot peppers. I found one small one. The price was too high for what you are getting. read more

So happy to have S&F in the neighborhood! Interesting combos of high quality ingredients served with a smile. Accessible for kid palates as well. Salmon taco is awesome and my husband loves the burger. read more

This place is a gem! Excellent lunch spot with plenty of outdoor seating. Order, pay, and food is delivered right to your table in moments. Excellent hot sauce selection. Spacious and clean restroom. Smoked salmon tacos were exceptional, reasonably priced menu all around! Don't miss out. read more

Had a Duck BLT Great! Nice selection of beverages too! Will be back and recommend you try it! read more

I have eaten at Stacked and Folded since they opened. This place has GREAT food. I really like everything on the menu and the service is so friendly. My favorite items are the poke and pork belly. I have not done many salads but can vouch for all tacos and sandwiches. I honk what's the most important to note is how fresh everything is because they are so busy. If you are looking for a quick bite or somewhere to grab a beer and a good meal go to Stacked and Folded. read more

My girlfriend had the cheesesteak and it was amazing. I had a carne asada taco and a fried avocado taco. Both were very good but on the high end from a price point perspective. The place had patio seating which was nice so we could enjoy the sunny weather. They had a good selection for chips and drinks which aren't very common. Overall good place to eat. read more

My favorite. It makes a big difference when someone makes sure that there are no GMO's and chemicals in your food, especially COMFORT FOOD. The owner, Josh is always saying "No processed meats in my restaurant". Well, amen. And you gotta love a place where, if you want, you can get a Merkt's cheddar warmed up for your tater tots. Holy cow. The Duck Bacon BLT is probably my favorite, but the turkey and brie w apple chutney comes really close as a second. I wish everybody cared this much about the food they serve. I work downtown and unless I want to pay $50 for lunch, EVERYTHING is mystery food. I have no idea if it's organic, genetically modified, low quality or what. With S&F, I know it's good ingredients, and that's truly comfort food! read more

Amazing! We absolutely love everything we have tried and can't wait to try more. Very cute and friendly.

Great find on the north shore. Quick, convenient, and refreshing. The panko crusted avocado is my favorite.

I work in the neighborhood and didn't realize this place was right around the corner. I'm very happy to have found this place! I usually order the grass fed burger. The burger is so juicy and full of flavor. I highly recommend this cozy restaurant! read more

Delicious place for a quick lunch. I shared a short rib bahn mi and two al pastor tacos with my sister. Great flavor all around. My sister thought the sandwich could have used slightly more meat. The tacos were perfect and over-flowing with quality ingredients. We left the place stuffed and happy. Both the chef and owner were extremely friendly and pleasant. Will be back soon with the rest of the family! read more

Loved this stop. World class sandwiches. World class service. Delightful and delicious. I could not decide which sandwich to eat: ban mi, duck bacon BLT, or pork belly... so, I ate all three. If I had to choose one in the future, I'd choose that pork belly. AMAZING! The BLT was also outstanding. read more

Really great little neighborhood joint. Food was fast and delicious. The absolute BEST sweet potato fries I have ever had.

Neat new place in Winnetka. Tried an assortment of tacos/sandwiches. None was a particular standout, but prices were relatively reasonable for what you get, and flavors were good. I'll go back and write more after a second visit. read more

Food is phenomenally tasty and unique. Fresh, local and organic. Excellent counter service from Leif and top notch grill work by Jerry. Selection is just right for diversity of flavor and simplicity. Great spot we will return to over and over. read more

Friendly service, quick, convenient, and yummy but very greasy. They use great quality ingredients so it's more healthy than and average fast food place. Also has a very good menu. read more

I have tried every item on Stacked & Folded's unique menu and all of it is phenomenal. The Pork Belly and Eggs, Ahi Tuna Poke, and Duck Bacon BLT are especially amazing. Josh, the owner, is always welcoming when we arrive, attentive while we are there, and expressively thankful for every customer's patronage when they are exiting. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone for lunch, dinner, and even catering. read more

Great quality of the products they use. Flavorful for the most part. Liked 4 out of 5 of my items I ordered and tried. Takes way to long for a quick service lunch spot. Will be hard in winter months with such a small location. Decorated very nice. Next time will call ahead and then maybe cut down on my wait time. read more
