Our waiter could not have been less attentive or more unbothered about anything. The salsas they brought out were completely tasteless with their stale chips. He didn't give me any other description. The queso fundito was half melted, so not that good. Plus, it came out before our drinks even got to the table. I had to wave at our waiter to ask for another round, he could see I wasn't eating my ceviche and said not a word. I can't believe this place even has three stars. I can't believe people in Winnetka even eat here. It was so bad. i'm getting two stars because my husband had enchiladas con mole, which it wasn't even on the menu, and it was pretty good. There were so many delicious sounding options on the menu. I decided to get the short rib banh mi with tater tots. I was really tempted to get the sweet potato fries, but couldn't pass up tater tots. My food came out fairly quickly and it looked delicious. The tater tots were crispy golden brown. And that's exactly what they were crispy and crunchy. The main part of my meal looked great as well. I was so glad that I came across this place. This banh mi was tasty. The meat was cooked well and tender. The Serrano aioli glued the sandwich together. I want to come back and I will come back. Oh, you need more? Okay... The tacos are worth your time if you're close by. You walk in and there is a menu on the wall and you order at the counter. And let's not forget the real Coca-Cola in glass bottles--nothing like it to feel like you're living your best taco life. That said, expect to pay a pretty penny for your tacos. The portions aren't as generous as they could be, and the flavor didn't exactly pop but for now living off their laurels and minimal competition makes Taco Nano the tops for this neighborhood. As for the dining area? It's basic--no bells or whistles. You'll see no-frills booths and a few tables. It's not much, but hey, it's all about the tacos here, right?
