Hello, I have been coming to get lunch from this location for about six months now. Recently there have been men at the counter that are extremely rude and very aggressive. I order a kids meal for lunch so much that my co-workers got me gift cards. I was willing to pay for the vegetables, but the rudeness overpowered my kindness. I will cash in my gift cards and stay away. I do not think black people are accepted in the store so I will not go back. This is very disheartening but there are plenty of places to get food from in Evanston. Tyra Holloway read more

Food: These chicken tacos were delicious! The ingredients tasted really fresh and the restaurant smelt delicious. I would definitely come back, the total was around $21 for 2 servings of tacos (with NU student discount haha). Service: This is fast food (Chipotle style) so things will move fast. Ambiance: There is seating inside and it is a big store. It's in a great area of town. read more

DosBros Fresh Mexican Grill - Chicken tacos - Fast Food Near Me - Evanston, Illinois

This was the worst place I've had for "fast"Mexican food. It's set up like Chipotle with bowl and taco options, where you go down the line and choose your meat, veggies and toppings. I had three supposedly chicken tacos. But the tortillas were like dish rags. I was there at 3 PM and it looked as though the veggies had been out for hours and swapped with fresh ingredients. The guacamole was gray. I didn't even order it. The chips were unevenly cooked. Some oily and some dry. Perhaps it was the time of day, but I felt like I was getting the leftovers of the leftovers. The counters and the tables were dirty. The person who prepared my tacos was barely able to assemble them. Avoid this place. If you're going to eat this type of food, just go over to Chipotle. read more

A good stop for taco bowls in Evanston. Was definitely trying to stave off hunger when I went to Dos bros. The staff was friendly and loaded up my taco bowl. Thought the sauces were fresh and added some good flavor. (Btw green cream colored sauce - beware it's spicy!). I'm usually a fan of spice but that green salsa really packed some surprising heat! I had the carnitas which was pretty good. Very spacious and comfortable to eat at on a hot summer day. Was quiet when I arrived - ~3-4pm on a Saturday. Plenty of metered street parking nearby. read more

Excellent fast casual food! I was surprised when they opened just around the corner from an existing Chipotle, with a menu that's almost identical. But the quality, seating area/ambiance, and service are better and portion sizes are way bigger. Especially since the Evanston Chipotle is more miserable and stingier version of a typical Chipotle, Dos Bros stands out as the perfect alternative. Plus, they offer chopped cilantro and fresh jalepenos. Tonight, my carnitas bowl was so huge I could only finish half of it. My kids, who normally don't like tortillas with meat inside ate up their steak tacos. I like the chips, which are thicker than Chipotle's, and have a hint of lime. And I appreciate that the containers and utensils are compostable. We'll be adding Dos Bros to our regular rotation of weekend takeout spots. read more

Such friendly service, delicious steak bowl, and a huge portion! Loved having options for olives and raw onion as toppings. I am excited about the online ordering option for future quick dinners. Will definitely be back and may never order from that "other" place again!!! read more

New favorite lunch spot! The staff are super friendly and the food is delicious!! They're very generous with their portions , and their sitting area is clean and relaxing. I ordered a veggie bowl with brown rice, spicy tofu, and plenty of veggies. Absolutely love this place! read more

Food was overpriced and served cold. Prices were high for what it was. Explanation of how to order with their methods was unclear.

Pretty good! This place is a near copy of Chipotle so if you have been there, you've been here. I would say that this place seems a little more consistent with their food. I have had really good meals at Chipotle and really bad ones. Dos Bros seems to be in the middle which is good. I am actually surprised how NOT spicy it was. I got a barbacoa bowl like I do at Chipotle, but kind of missed the spice. I think Chipotle uses alot of limes which DosBros doesn't. Price wise, they're about the same, but I would give DosBros a bit of an edge because I think it was a little cheaper. Again, I thought my food was good and it is a great alternative to Chipotle, but I felt that it was a little too safe. I will be back of course! read more

Thanks to Yelp I found this gem! It's my first time trying this restaurant, and I'm so glad I did. The staff here were really friendly and knowledgeable. He recommended that I go with the bowl for my first time, and it reminds me of a better version of Chipotle. I had white rice for the base and their spicy chicken (it's so tender with just the right amount of flavor, spice and kick, and he even sampled me which I appreciate) for protein. They are also really generous with the portions, and everything was packaged nicely for me to take to go. I ordered a side of chips and guacamole, and their guacamole was fresh and delicious. Parking is also easy to find right outside on the street that is metered or in a public garage. They also have other locations across the Chicagoland area. I'd recommend this restaurant to anyone in the area looking for fast casual Mexican cuisine and would totally come back when I'm in the area next. read more

I'll start off by saying that the food looked like it had been sitting out for quite a while which made me pause, but I still decided to proceed with my order. It tasted okay, but certainly not great or even good. It's almost impossible to differentiate the difference in taste between DosBros and Chipotle . Just medicore food really. Personally, I didn't think the portions were any bigger than Chiptole as other reviews mentioned. The price was a lot higher than Chiptole. Also, I didn't realize they charged extra for queso in a bowl. I figured they charged extra for guac so I splurged a little, but with the unexpected charge for queso, the total was almost $17 for a bowl! I wish the employee would have explained the extra charge for queso. In any case, I won't be back. I'd take Qdoba over this place or Chiptole any day of the week. read more

4.75 Don't like to give 5 stars Ordered in Compostable containers not plastic!!!! VERY generous portions Tasted great Low salt. You can choose your own level, a real plus for me. Delivered promptly. Will definitely reorder from them. read more

This used to be Naf Naf Grill, remember that? This is the second one this year. The first one they opened this year is in the South Loop (see that review). Everything was great, including the Queso. read more

Staff was very kind. Place was clean. Food was awesome. I loved how finely chopped the chicken was and the barbacoa was great too. We will be back! read more

So slow. Food looked old. Clorox bleach smell. Big cleaning mom near tables to eat. Horrible. Close already !

Walked out of the dirty Chipotle down the street and into DosBros. I thought it was weird they are so close to each but other makes sense now.. dos will be much more successful. Clean, calm, larger portions and tastes cleaner/fresher. I appreciate the allergy markings on the menu and would return. read more

Carnitas were watery, if that's possible. Not very good, better off hitting Chipotle around the corner.

Love the fresh spices! Outshines other Mex nearby in taste and quantity. I will become a regular.

Food is delicious here! I was pleased with the service and cleanliness of the place. Also affordable and big portions!

I have never tasted a better quesadilla. My wife had mentioned that she enjoys getting tacos from DosBros on some occasions when she happens to be downtown. So she introduced me to this GENUINELY high-quality restaurant. The service is prompt and courteous. And the quesadilla that I ordered was a TRUE delight. Thank you, Bros! Michael read more

This place just opened up not too long ago, and I've already been here twice. I usually don't leave reviews, but the employees here are exceptionally friendly. The concept is similar to Chipotle (using fresh, all-natural ingredients you can pronounce), but they do not skimp out on portions. Overall, a very nice addition to Evanston. read more

We didn't enjoy the food at DosBros. We thought the components lacked flavor, freshness, and balance. The black beans didn't have much flavor. The tofu and tomatoes tasted bland and watery. The salsas tasted savory. The hot sauces tasted watery and not spicy. read more

We were surprised it was empty at noon but we were glad we chose to eat here. Fresh ingredients were welcome and generously heaped on our burritos. I especially liked the freshly chopped red onion and cilantro. The spicy chicken wasn't very spicy but I was still pleased with my choice. I would definitely return rather than stop at chipotle nearby since the food, tables and cost was better here. Fortunately business picked up while we were there. My biggest complaint was that the servers looked so bored/fatigued/disinterested yet the store was open only an hour..... read more

We had Dos Bros cater a dinner for 25 teens at our house. We ordered the Uno - a burrito bar spread. It was delicious. The ordering process was easy, the food was ready on time, packaged well, easy to transport home, very hot/cold as appropriate and plentiful. I would recommend it to anyone looking for an easy way to feed a large crowd - especially if that crowd includes teenagers, who seemed to love all the options they could create from the food included in the burrito bar (most of which was vegetarian aside from the chicken that we chose as our protein). 10/10 recommend. Thanks Dos Bros! read more

Looking at the yelp reviews, this looks just like a small business Chiptole. And that is what it is. However, how I would assess DosBros is to imagine that every ingredient you got at Chipotle was 50% better. DosBros cheese was freshly grated (not from a bag), meat tasted fresher, guacamole tastier. Again, nothing surprising or really different but just everything was 50% better. I think the price was pretty comparable to Chipotle also. I'm not putting down Chipotle...I like Chipotle! This was just better though. read more

Anyone who likes Chipotle should give Dos Bros Evanston a try! This place is fresher, cleaner, and just nicer all around. The employees are courteous and kind, never rushing you and never rolling their eyes at your requests. The burritos are actually ROLLED WELL and do not fall apart. The quesadillas are excellent and they will put ANYTHING you want inside of them. Queso, fresh guacamole ... it's ALL here! Please take a detour from Church around the corner to Orrington and let's see this incredible establishment thrive and stay in Evanston. Did Bros, welcome to the neighborhood! read more

Better food than chipotle. Better portions. Service was a bit slower but for the price and the amount of food i got for 11 dollars including Guac, will start to go here for my burrito bowls. read more

Bigger portions than chipotle. Chipotle a block over is spotty with their quality, and this has been better on average. Taste reminds me of big wig but much higher quality. Fresh onion, cilantro, and lime as free toppings are great. Friendlier service than the old naf naf that was here. Good addition to the evanston dining scene. read more

Finally tried Do Bros and so glad I did. If you are looking for Chipotle type offerings, forget Chipotle (which is right around the corner and among the most disappointing Chipotles around) and run to Dos Bros. Every ingredient in the steak bowl I had was appreciably better than the best version I've had at any Chipotle and it was a bit cheaper on top of it. I hope these guys get all of the NU biz when students get back to campus. The food is really, really good. read more

We just ordered Dos Bros catering for a large business gathering today, and we loved it! The food was excellent, the service was great, and they gave a ton of food! Everyone was extremely happy with the lunch. We often need to order catering for similar types of gatherings, but Dos Bros quickly became our favorite place. We cannot wait for the next opportunity to order catering, as we will definitely use Dos Bros again! read more

Had a frustrating first experience with our order but the owner texted me personally and offered to refund our meal and then offered us a free meal for our next visit. I have a large family and we don't eat out much so this was a huge blessing and kindness. Incredible customer service and the owner went above and beyond. Great portion sizes and great food! We will be back just based on the customer service response alone! read more
