Stacked & Folded - New American Near Me - Winnetka, Illinois

See all

Black Bean burger is amazing. Great taste, with tons of flavors. Tacos are packed to the top. Favorite would have to be the Al Pastor. For sandwiches, Korean short rib is my favorite. Everything is great here. read more

I went there with my girl, food is so good and guys is there working very good service, I like Pedro always respectfully and very good service . I will can back against with friends. read more

Amazing food, amazing service. Love this place. There are not a ton of casual food options in Winnetka, but this place is awesome!!

Super nice staff! I thought the forked (salads) were super small for the cost- the whole menu is overpriced actually, and then I had to clean my own dishes. Kids menu is a good value. read more

Quaint lunch stop with delicious food and plenty of incredible options that are reasonably priced.

Fantastic food and incredible service. Loved the caprese chicken sandwich so much I wound up going back for the second time in A week. When I picked up my order, I asked about the daily soup and the chef immediately asked me to wait just a moment as he made a fresh cup for me to take away for coming in. This place is fantastic! read more

One of my favorite restaurants. My family has loved Stacked & Folded ever since they first opened in Winnetka and we've never been disappointed. The burgers, tacos, and sweet potato fries are amazing! We have never had a bad experience!! read more

Came in with a McDonald's milkshake and didn't get jumped by every employee on shift! Looks nice and overall pretty pleasant atmosphere.

Very accommodating; food made to order. We had the steak, shrimp and salmon tacos; a lot of meat and very flavorful. The sweet potato fries were delicious! A wide selection of bottled beer and non-alcoholic beverages. However, drinks could have been colder. Manager mentioned a 2nd location to open in Evanston. read more

Check this very small lunch spot. It would get 5 stars if there were more table seating. The food is creative and carefully prepared. Oh yes and very good. Shrimp taco was a real taste experience. I will be back next time I'm in town. They have 4 tables inside a lunch counter. With warmer weather they have several sidewalk tables on which to enjoy your meal. read more

So where to begin... second time ordering from here. Super disappointed in the food. One of our sandwiches had plastic inside the sandwich. GROSS! Plus the Korean sandwiches and salads shouldn't be called Korean. Not even close to what it should taste like. If you actually follow the recipe for bulgogi and kalbi it would taste better than what's on their menu. Bland and no flavor. read more

Bain Mi +++++ They've got everything you'd want in a "treat yourself" cafe. Want a bit of spice on that pulled pork? Got it. Mint and Honey sweet tea to wash it down? It's there. Some chips with that? How do you want em? Bagged, freshly fried, sweet potato... They got em. If you have a midday craving this is where you go. read more

Absolutely outstanding tasty great food! Loved it. Good portions, unique combinations and super staff/owner! Can't wait to go back and try other dishes!!! read more

Really fantastic place, staff is really nice and the food is AMAZING! I highly recommend trying the bulgogi steak sandwich - it is CRAZY good. For the price, you really can't get better food around here. read more

Great food, fast service, especially love the panko crusted avacado salad!

Stumbled upon this place and I am completely blown away!! The food is amazing and the staff is so friendly. I stopped in with a friend and we tried a few things. The bulgogi Cheese Steak is absolutely a must!!! read more

I like this pace a lot. The food is quick and good. My personal favorite is the steak sandwich which I get almost every time. They now come with sides and that really completes the experience for me. Don't miss this spot next time you're in Winnetka! read more

Great sandwiches, probably the best on the north shore. The owner is extremely friendly and is always behind the counter cooking up delicious food and keeps the vibe in the restaurant enjoyable. I'd recommend the cheese steak and the turkey and brie, but the tacos are also really good. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but was actively disappointed. Ordered the Banh Mi. Tasteless. It was like roast beef with a very mild cole slaw topping. Where are the pickled vegetables, the cilantro, the other distinctive tastes and spices? They offer a lot of spicy bottled hot sauces, but I wanted and expected a sandwich that tasted like a traditional banh mi, not one that I would have to jazz up on my own with some Mexican hot sauce. Wow. This visit took all the steam out of what I expected to be a continuing walk through what looked like a very interesting bill of fare. Not for me. read more

Great local place with really good burgers and salads. Also has a black bean burger for vegetarians. Highly recommend!

The food is good. The fries are amazing. The prices are terrible. If you're looking to spend less than $20 don't come here. It is totally a-la-carte so a sandwich will just be a sandwich, no fries. But, if it's in your budget they do know how to make a good taco. Would recommend to anyone looking to splurge! I love the caprese sandwich and sweet potato fries. read more

Yummy food! Exceptionally friendly employees. They even have the Merkdt's cheddar. A big win!

This place serves the best sandwiches you will ever eat. The atmosphere is nice. There's a bar to sit at and one table in the front. But the food, The bulgogi cheese sandwich is the best sandwich and you can't go wrong with it. Definitely would come here again. Great food and great service. read more

Been here many times. The food is great, BUT customer service is terrible. Messed up take out order 2 times in a row. The young guy with terrible attitude who is trying to manage the place by himself is not capable of doing it. Management needs to get him help and more training. He is not ready for what you are asking him to do. Winnetka needs these types of place, but I am sorry that we will not be returning. read more

Awesome addition to the north shore. Great decor and friendly atmosphere. Order 3 different folded and couldn't of enjoyed enough. Was also stuffed and I'm not small. Can we say staple!!! read more

Went for dinner for the fourth time and keep forgetting to give this place 5 stars ! We had California blackened salmon salad. Two tacos one was salmon the other chicken. Both excellent. Our friends had Panko crusted avacado tacos. Korean short rib bahmmi sandwich - Eat in their little adorable restaurant or carry out. We sat outside with friends and had a perfect summer evening. As a favor the other night he made some Guac and homemade chips ! Delicious and flavorful. Lots of love goes into making their food and they're very appreciative for the business. Eat and shop local people ! read more

What a nice surprise to get a delicious Cuban sandwich in Winnetka. The ingredients were of very high quality, generous and flavorful. The bread was nicely grilled and just crunchy enough. It wasn't quite as authentic as the Cubans I used to get when I lived in Florida, but it was so well done, it deserves 5 stars. Cute interior too with a good range of sides (tater tots!) and drinks including alcohol. I'll be back. read more

Stacked & Folded continues to be one of the gems of Winnetka. The Cheesesteak, is better than anything I've ever had in Philly. I have to force myself to try other items which are also terrific. Had their Southwestern Salad the other day and it was perfect. As important, the staff could not be friendlier. They will also prepare boxed meals for picnics, like going to Ravinia. A great time saver that assures great food. Keep up the good work and we will keep returning. read more

Man this was good - I had the braised bahn mi and my friend raved about her sandwich. Can't wait to come back.

Great sandwich and taco place - salads too - everything fresh. Love the ahi tuna tacos and guacamole. Good place for carry out. Just what our neighborhood needed. read more

The food is amazing, best tacos ever. Great storefront restaurant with superior vibe and food to match. Don't miss out!

Delicious! We had the Korean short rib bahn mi, al pastor tacos, and the kids fried Mac & cheese balls with sweet potato fries. I wanted to try almost everything on the menu, so we'll be back. The sweet potato fries were especially good. Sandwich was maybe a little small for the price, but given the quality of ingredients, I'd say it's good value for the money. read more

Great place for lunch or a very casual dinner. I go for the salads. I like the grilled shrimp salad and the ahi tuna salad. Hard to get anything like that any place else in winnetka. This place is particularly good for take out too. The people who work there are very nice and accommodating Definitely worth checking out read more

I am glad my wife told me to check out Stacked and Folded today. Walking in I had no idea what to expect and the owner couldn't have been friendlier explaining the menu. I tried one of the "Stacked" and one of the "Folded" items. The cheese steak sandwich was the best I've ever had with lean flavorful meat, grilled onions, peppers and the perfect amount of cheese on a fresh roll. The tuna taco was equally impressive and had an incredible flavor and crunch. The items are all reasonably priced and it's easily to tell, super fresh, unlike most fast food places. We will definitely be back and hope everyone on the Northshore finds this new hidden gem. read more

Food is great! Ive never eaten in the restaurant (only gotten delivery) but we enjoyed most of the food. The only item i wasnt crazy about was the chicken parm sandwhich (thought it lacked flavor) but everything else was great read more

LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS PLACE!!! I've never had a bad experience here and I order food on almost a weekly basis. The owner Josh is so friendly and greets me by name everything he sees me come in. My favorite things on the menu are the sweet potato fries, the avocado taco (to die for) and the Bánh mì. I've tried almost everything on the menu and there has yet to be something that I didn't like! Their outdoor seating is great, I can walk my dog over and enjoy and meal outside. Whenever someone asks me where to grab a quick bite, I always suggest Stacked and Folded. read more

Great addition to winnetka! Great food, awesome service- Josh is always willing to accommodate allergy needs and requests!

This showed up as a 'Mexican' restaurant at yelp but this is not your traditional Mexican place. Much more than that. They have sandwiches, salads and tacos -- i.e. stacked, forked and folded -- that are simply DELICIOUS! Great neighborhood gem that is worth discovering if you are in the area. We had tacos and sandwiches and loved them all. read more

Ordered a cheese steak and duck BLT sandwich for my first visit here. Did not disappoint at all !
