If you are looking for the perfect weekend brunch spot or a breezy weekday escape hidden in the…read morehills of the Valley, look no further than Claudine Kitchen & Bakeshop in Porter Ranch. In a dining landscape where brunch has often become an overpriced, over-hyped production, Claudine strips away the pretense and delivers exactly what matters: exceptionally high-quality food, incredibly affordable prices, and a vibrant, sun-drenched atmosphere that makes you want to linger for hours. From the moment you step up to the bakeshop, the ambiance sets the stage. The setting is absolutely perfect for basking in the California sun. With its bright, open energy, lush greenery, and breezy layout, the space almost feels tropical--a little pocket of paradise tucked away in Porter Ranch. It feels less like a standard neighborhood eatery and more like a coastal getaway where time slows down. Whether you are sitting out on the patio catching a morning breeze or enjoying the light-flooded interior, it is the kind of welcoming environment that instantly puts you at ease. But while the atmosphere gets you in the door, the culinary execution is what keeps you coming back. Claudine manages a rare trifecta in the modern restaurant scene: premium ingredients, expert scratch-kitchen execution, and prices that don't break the bank. You can taste the thoughtfulness and precision in every single dish, proving that high quality doesn't have to carry a massive price tag. Take, for instance, the classic Benedict. It was quite simply awesome. The poached eggs were executed to absolute perfection, boasting that flawless, rich, velvety golden drip the second you pierce them. Perched atop a beautifully toasted, artisanal foundation and draped in a rich, buttery hollandaise that balanced decadence with a bright touch of acidity, it is an absolute must-order. It is a dish that many high-end breakfast spots easily overcharge for, yet Claudine serves up a world-class version at a price point that feels genuinely generous. Alongside the Benedict, the avocado toast was equally brilliant. It is easy for kitchens to treat avocado toast as an afterthought, but here, it is elevated to an art form. The bread itself features a phenomenal crust and a beautiful, chewy crumb, providing the sturdiest base for a generous, perfectly seasoned smash of vibrant, ripe avocado. Crowned with thoughtful garnishes that added a delightful textural contrast and a pop of brightness, every bite was balanced, fresh, and deeply satisfying. To wash it all down, the beverage program offers a tale of two experiences. If there is one area that could use a slight lift to match the sheer excellence of the kitchen, it is the coffee program; the brews are decent, but the espresso and drip options could definitely be elevated to a slightly more premium, specialty tier to truly complement the artisanal pastry case. However, the kitchen more than makes up for it with their beverage selection--the juices were hella fresh! Crisp, vibrant, and bursting with pure, clean fruit flavor, you can tell they are pressed with care and served at the absolute peak of flavor. They are the ultimate thirst-quenchers for a warm morning under the sun. Beyond the stellar food and drink, what truly sets Claudine apart is its seamless, forward-thinking approach to hospitality. We have all been to those bustling brunch spots where you want to order just one more item--another pastry, a side of bacon, or a second round of drinks--but you can't seem to flag down a busy server. Claudine solves this elegantly. They feature a wonderful, brilliant QR code system right at your table that allows you to order more food or drinks instantly from your phone. It is pure genius. You get the speed and autonomy of a digital ordering system without sacrificing the hospitality and charm of a sit-down meal. If you decide mid-meal that you absolutely need a slice of their famous house-baked cake or a fresh juice refill, a couple of taps on your phone and it is on its way to your table. It is incredibly convenient, entirely frictionless, and a feature more restaurants should adopt. Ultimately, Claudine Kitchen & Bakeshop is a gem of a find in Porter Ranch. It captures the very best of the Southern California lifestyle--vibrant, sun-kissed, and relaxed--while maintaining a fierce commitment to culinary excellence and accessibility. Between the flawless Benedict, the brilliant avocado toast, the ultra-fresh juices, and that ingenious table-ordering system, it delivers an flawless dining experience. For a high-quality, highly affordable meal that feels like a mini-vacation, Claudine gets a glowing, well-deserved five stars.

Immediately we were welcomed and greeted by a friendly host, and was able to sit in the booths. My husband and I got the Croissant Breakfast and the Brisket Burrito, while my daughter got the Puff Cakes. I added avocado and bacon to the sandwich which i think was the right choice! The jalapeño aioli was a nice touch to a traditional bfast sandwich! My husband enjoyed his burrito as well which he is a man hard to please. My 2 yo daughter, who is also hard to please, finished her puff cakes without sharing. Little does she know I ate some when she wasn't looking, and they were pretty good! Overall, this place is a great brunch spot and will definitely be coming back.

We had ground beef taco stuffed into warm double wrapped with cheese and served with shredded lettuce-tomato and topped slices of Avocado.?I asked for chopped onion and shredded cheddar and there fantastic salsa. We also ordered their rice pilaf (fantastic). For some reason I also wanted a cup of there fantastic (beef chili? It was sinful. I placed a spoonful of this luxurious chili on top the taco. Brent's Deli is an institution in the San Fernando Valley, and it may just be its best. One thing…read morefor sure, the portions are generally humongous so you will never leave hungry. Nothing succeeds like excess. In fact, most people will need a take out box for one less meal to cook. Delicatessen means delicate eating in German, but at a Jewish American Delicatessen, the emphasis is on the Eating, which I am not complaining. 1) I requested an off menu item of having a Reuben sandwich where half is Corned Beef and the other Pastrami. Brent's Reuben has warm Sauerkraut, grilled Rye bread, melted Swiss Cheese, 1,000 Island dressing. Thinly sliced, multi-layered Mound of Pastrami is a bit on the dry side. Curing doesn't create a deep meaty Umami and spicing is present but attenuated. The Corned Beef is moister with bit more Umami & plush, thin multi-layered red colored meat. I have to say the Pastrami at Langer's is cured more intensely to bring out a deep Umami as well as more complex and complementary spicing of especially warm spiced cloves that adds aromatic richness. Brent's Pastrami doesn't seem to reach that kind of apotheosis. 1b) I asked for the steak fries to be fried two minutes longer for a crisper finish which was honored. Not much in way of that distinctive potato earthiness, but acceptable. 1c) Coleslaw is mayonnaise based, watery, bland, but a good cruciferous, fibrous veggie to add more fibre, healthful phytochemicals to counter the meat overload even though it isn't flavourful 2) Carrot Cake is closer to a delicate, dense, moist spice cake. A slice is enormous since it is cut from an extra tall cake studded with crushed walnuts and a cream cheese like not too sweet frosting. At $14 it could feed 4 people. Service is fine. They take your order and run with it. Bit of tunnel vision where it may be a bit hard to flag them down. But the job does get done. Overall 3+ stars

We managed to come early around 9am this Sunday, so we only had a ~10 minute wait. I've heard good things about Nat's so I was very excited to try here. It definitely exceeded expectations! My partner got the Guadalajara Skillet with over easy eggs, it had a good amount of heat as well as nice crispy texture from the hash browns. I had the Lox Benedict, which was delicious! The hollandaise sauce was rich and creamy. Finally, we got the Howie's waffle to share, which was the perfect amount of crunchy and came with assorted fruit and maple syrup. The waitress offered us this amazing housemade apricot jam to go with the toasted English muffins, which I think may be the best jam I've ever had. Unfortunately they were out of jars today, but I will definitely be back to buy a jar in the near future.

Since it was going to be a long wait, my wife and daughter waited in the car and I asked the hostess if it was cool if I sat down by the bar area and order a coffee which I plan to pay for. I was told by the hosts that that area is first come first serve so she didn't see a problem with it so I sat there. One of the gentleman that works there asked if I wanted anything to drink so I ordered a coffee. Moments later, while drinking my coffee the lady that's assigned to that section asked if I wanted to order anything or if I needed a menu which then I informed her that I was waiting for a table and was told it was cool if I sat there while I drank a coffee. She then rudely stated in Spanish. "I DON'T MAKE MONEY THAT WAY" then storms off. The lady starts complaining to her coworkers and they start looking my way. They then inform the guy that always wears a black shirt and slick back hair who I believe is a manager and he comes over and explains that this section is for walk ins that plan to sit and eat here and am welcomed to wait outside or in the waiting area.I informed him it wasn't a problem but thats the reason I asked from the beginning. I also mentioned we drove from Simi Valley to come here and there were many other restaurant options but I told him how the waitress treated me and he said he would talk to her. I told him I would pay for the coffee and I would leave. He said don't worry about the coffee. I didn't even finish my coffee I set it down and left. After coming here for years with family, friends, even referring this place to others I WILL NEVER COMEBACK AGAIN. We made our way to the Country Café in Chatsworth and of course got great hospitality and food.

Our waiter was knowledgeable about the menu and listed out some of the menu favorites. We were checked on and given water regularly, which was great! Second, I love the vibe in here. It's a bigger space than I expected. Within the restaurant there is a main dining area, a side room, and outdoor seating. There's also a little space for selling pastries/desserts that I found quite cute. As the name suggests, there is a humble vibe. The parking situation is a bit limited. There are not many spaces out front, which is something to be aware of if you're thinking of stopping by. Lastly, the food was really delicious. I ordered the Panwich and tried a little bit of my friends omelette. The omelette was really good and cooked to my liking. The panwich was also really good! I'm a sucker for the savory + sweet combo. The combo of sausage, pancake, syrup, marscapone cheese, and apples was elite. Overall, I had a wonderful experience and will be coming again more!
