Terrible Work, Impossible to Schedule, and did work two weeks after they said they would I worked with St. Joseph Granite to fabricate and install granite for both units in a duplex. I went with them because Vagner was great at selling me on the business and they had a great price ($5 cheaper than competitors per sq ft) and had great Yelp reviews. After I gave them a down payment is when the problems started. I called St. Joseph on a Monday, they had a guy out there Tuesday to measure and had me a quote by that afternoon. We worked out some details and I gave them a deposit on Thursday. Vagner said they'd do the install the following Tuesday, then changed to Wednesday, then changed three more times over the next two weeks. They texted me at 10:15am the day they did the install asking if they could do it at 11:30am. This was after I'd already been waiting two weeks. Their actual install work was awful. Granted, the house is a hundred years old so one can expect some issues, but having hired a few granite companies I'd say this was a pretty amateur job: - One of the countertops didn't touch the cabinet on the front edge at all which means the granite could break if there's too much weight on it or pull out from the wall - The other three counters touched on the front edge but only in one or two places - Backsplash had a 3/8 inch gap and didn't touch the wall - They snapped the kitchen drain pipe when the removed the old sink - They cut original 100 year old cabinets and "fixed" the structural parts using my finish brad gun which is way to small for structural work - Electrical outlet was out of the wall and couldn't be pushed back in because the backsplash was installed under it - Only used two brackets to hold the undermount sinks in place - one of the brackets that was there fell out when I touched it (manufacturer recommends 8 per sink) - Sink they supplied didn't fit properly into the sink cutout I texted Vagner with pictures of the problems and let them know it wasn't done right. He immediately tried to charge my card for the balance without responding, however I got a fraud notification and it didn't go through. Vagner then told me that my cabinets weren't level and it wasn't their fault. I asked if they were installed correctly and he combatively asked me what I wanted him to do because the cabinets were the problem, not their work. I hired someone else to fix their work. They were half the price of Home Depot, but you get what you pay for. read more

Great value, fast and reliable, Vagner is a man of his word and does what he says. The installers are very good aswell.

First time having granite counter tops. Checked around for pricing. They have a special on 10 different types of Granite . I saved about $1000 dollars by using them. Install only took a few hours. I bought a sink from them . A 70/30 double basin under mount. 18 gauge stainless steel. I'm happy with it. I was worried I'd hear loud pinging of water hitting the basin , but not the case.The people are very nice. The installers are very professional. The only reason I didn't give a five star is the scheduling. I was told it was to be installed on a Wednesday, got bumped to Thursday. Thursday morning got a call , bumped to Friday. So Friday morning I remove old countertop and sink (They will do it for $200) and wait. Got bumped again to Monday. Mother's Day weekend , no countertop, no sink and company coming over. Mom was not a happy camper .Monday Job gets done I saved a bunch of money, It got installed in about 2 weeks, and I'm Happy. I do recommend them . I feel like we all work really hard for our money, so I appreciate that St. Joseph helped me save some. When looking for someone to install a backsplash in our kitchen, I reached out for several quotes. St. Joseph literally did the job for half the amount that another company quoted. Guys... half the price otherwise quoted. Sorta a lot of money to spend for other things. Anyway, the end result was exactly as I asked for. They made the process super easy by providing the tiling (some companies ask you to purchase this on your own), and worked with my schedule to make an appointment. They also text which is helpful in quick communication. The day of installation, the guys showed up exactly on time and were super friendly. The backsplash is exactly what I had asked for. My only regret in retrospect is I probably should have given a bigger tip. read more

They had really nice selection of granites. They provided a free estimate. When they came, they were on time and clearly explain where the seam would be. They sent me an estimate in the very next day which provided details and their prices was very reasonable. It was fabricated and ready for the installation within a week. I had a pretty good experience with St. Joseph. Their pricing was very good compared to the other quote I got, and they installed very quickly, which was a big deal for me. Only took a week total from my first call to them to having new granite! That's pretty great. I had one minor issue with the install, but they were willing to resolve it in a way I think was reasonable. Overall I'm happy, and I'd use them again in the future. Be aware that their sinks do not include the drain baskets though. You'll have to buy those separately. They aren't that expensive, but it was something I wish they had mentioned. But it wasn't a big deal in the end. read more

Wagner got me a very good deal and was very responsive and thorough in communicating details about my order and the selection process. St. Joseph Granite was MUCH less expensive than the big box stores and two other quotes I gathered. To top it off, the quality of the stone they offer is superior. The selection of granite they carry is enormous. The fabricators and installers did a beautiful job, and I couldn't be happier. I thought granite was out of my budget until I found this company! Very pleased with my new counter tops and backsplash. The work is beautifully done, and the people I interacted were professional, helpful and friendly. The company and employees are very customer oriented and exacting. Real craftsmen. Once I made the inquiry, things moved more quickly than I expected. Their prices attracted me to purchase thru St Josephs, even tho I usually go to K&B granite. In my experience with St Josephs, "You get what you pay for" applied in this matter. Vagner was friendly and good to work with over the phone. The problem with this family run company is that they try to squeeze in as many installations in one day. Wemerson, the installer, is not able to complete all the jobs that in one day. It took 3 separate days to complete my installation, which I was not happy about. The 3 days were not consecutive neither. There was an area over the laundry sink that I had paid to have granite installed, and because it was nearing quitting time, Wemerson said that the sink couldn't hold the weight of the granite. It took my husband to tell him that we paid for it and it needed to be installed. That caused it to go into installation day 3 The first day they showed up at 5pm and only dropped the materials off and left. Vagner was not aware of this. It took 3 business days for them to come back for the second time. At 5pm, Wemerson starts to pack up and leaves the job incomplete. It took another 2 days before they returned to complete the job. .The average length of time for installation is one day. They are obviously over-run with jobs due to their specials and cannot schedule accurately. Altho their work is satisfactory and the prices were good, make sure you insist on a one-day installation or you will be missing several days from work. This place is AMAZING. Seriously, if you're looking for a counter top, this is the one. Vagner who runs it delivers premium customer service including texting anytime, including weekends, on updates. He's as customer-focused as it gets. A rarity in any industry. I got 5 different quotes from other places, and no one delivered this kind of treatment. The granite we wanted wasn't in stock and he had it expedited to come that week. From picking out the counter to having it installed was under 2 weeks. The attention to detail in the fabrication was perfect. Lastly, he gets the best prices because he has such good relationships with the vendor. Redoing this part of the kitchen was a breeze with him running the show. With over 300 different types and colors to choose from, he listened to what we like and guided us in the right direction.
