This store has an amazing selection of bathroom tiles. We literally spent couple of days looking, picking, and deciding what to get. Store owner Slava and his assistance Olga are knowledgeable and do actually know their own stock and are able to provide good suggestions based on what you are looking at. There are variety of sets available, and most include floor tile, wall tile, as well as decorative elements like bullnoses and fingers, for example. Different variations of grout is also available to match your selection. Our order took few days to arrive, but it was on time. No issues with delivery or pick up of the tiles. The store also has some selections of sinks, shower heads, and shower vents. They are also expanding to include kitchen cabinets. All in all it is a small store with excellent selection of different tiles. The price ranges are good from reasonable to very expensive, so everyone should be able to find something that matches their wallet. They usually have couple sets on sale as well - just need to ask. 5/5 would use them again (probably will for my kitchen). read more

We went to Tile in Style when we were renovating our bathroom on the recommendation of our contractor. He had sent lots of his clients there with good results. With the help of Inga, the owner, I found what we wanted, and told Inga I would order closer to the date of our project. We chose not to order all of the hardware and plumbing needs for the bathroom (shower head, fan light, etc) as it seemed very expensive and our contractor said we could get nice stuff at Lowe's. Inga called me several times, and wrote me several emails pressuring me to order everything as she said it was in stock and we did not want to chance the tile not being available. I told her we did not want the hardware, so she sent me a "discounted" price, which still came out more than what we paid at Lowe's. We did order the tile in advance and had it delivered. It turns out we had two issues that Inga refused to deal with. 1. We had a total of 6 boxes of extra, unopened tiles (2 diff kinds) that we wanted to return for a refund. She insisted that special orders are not returnable, no matter what. When I retorted that she had told me it was all in stock so therefore not a special order, she gave me a whole long explanation and still refused to accept 4 unopened boxes of the shower wall tiles that is very expensive. 2. When our contractor opened the mosaic tile for the shower floor, he was very upset to see that the paper backing was stuck to all the tile sheets and he had to spend a lot of time scrubbing them off. I wrote Inga about this and asked again for a refund for the 2 boxes of mosaic tiles we were not opening or using and that our contractor had never had these problems anywhere else. She refused again, explaining why the paper was stuck on, which doesn't help us! I wrote back explaining that I would let her re-think her decision and if by Monday she had not decided to accept the extra tile back and give us a refund then I would make sure I gave her terrible reviews everywhere I could, tell all my friends to boycott her store, and I would speak with an attorney about taking her to small claims court. Her email response was that she would exchange any unopened mosaic tile with the paper on the back (too late for that for us), but not refund anything, and I should stop harassing her! My contractor plans on never sending her business again. I plan on reporting them to the BBB and possibly taking her to small claims court. I have never had worse service from a business before! Thankfully we love our contractor and the bathroom will look great, even if we are out a LOT of money. read more

We weren't sure how much tile we would need, so the owner suggested we buy extra and then we would have 30 days to return the surplus. We made two orders, both with extra per his suggestion. When we came to return the unused unopened extra box, he was not pleased, reprimanded us and paid us a refund minus $30 restocking fee, which has not been mentioned previously, when we discussed the return policy. Furthermore, he informed us that he would not be accepting any extra from our second order. I've never encountered such a way of doing business. Never will again, and don't suggest you do. Don't buy there!!!! Worst costumer service ever!!! I ordered a vanity and a faucet. It was soups to arrive in a week. I called the store and asked about it. The guy started telling me stories about how they are very busy and it's on the way. I kept wanting for a phone call to let me know what is happening ,and nothing!!! I had to go back to the store and "fight" to get the tracking number and called myself to set the delivery. When delivered, the faucet wasn't there. I wanted to write to share the worst customer service experience I have ever had. I visited your store on Wednesday this week and one of the sale reps was kind enough to give me two samples to take home to show my husband for our kitchen back splash. I promised to come back this morning with my husband to make the final purchase. The gentleman who helped me on Wednesday was there this morning and proceeded to process my final order. When I told him that I would be using a living social deal, he said no problem, but had to get the assistance of another representative. This was when things got ugly. The 2nd rep (the bigger of the two men who claimed to be the owner) asked me "what kind of customer are you? You come in the store and purchase something for $160 and use a $150 coupon. The minimum is $300 to use that deal." So I looked at him giving him a puzzled look and immediately went to my phone to read the fine print of the deal and NO WHERE does it state that you have to spend a minimum of $300. If that were the case, I would have apologized for overlooking it but instead got continuously scolded from the 2nd rep. He told me that since I'm looking at it on my phone, I'm not able to read the fine print that it says it on the computer. My response was, "well I'm using an iphone so it will pretty much show me anything the computer will show me," and that is when I asked him to use his computer to pull up the deal on the computer and show me where it says the $300 minimum. The two of them searched the deal and when they realized that I was correct, no apology or remorse for raising his voice and just being plain rude to me. Instead the two of them began speaking to one another in a different language and when I said to him, "you see why I didn't know that there was a $300 minimum now?", he continuously said, "this is Living Social's problem. Nobody does business like this." I told him that it was fine if it was Living Social's error, but that I did not appreciate or deserve his attitude (particularly because I was not wrong in this case), he totally dismissed me and told me that I would have to take it up with them. All I wanted was a simple apology or at least an acknowledgement that after looking at what I saw, he could understand why I was misinformed, but I didn't even get that. He continued to ask me what I wanted from him and I told him, "I think you owe me an apology" and he just kept saying that Living Social would call me on Monday to straighten things out. Plainly stated, if that 2nd rep was truly the owner, I suggest that you go back to the basics of customer service. I work in customer service and I know what it's like to be on your side of the table, but it does not help the situation when you get nasty to a customer who is in fact right! No need for the attitude. It was not my intention to go into the store to argue with anyone or made to feel like I was being belittled. In fact, the stone was on sale on the internet and he threw in there, "you can't get the sale price from the internet" which I was not going to argue about (even though the 1st rep gave it to us for the discounted price. That's fair (even though the fine print doesn't say that either). The deal was, and still is, $50 for $150 for Tiles in Style. I called Living Social to report the incident and they will be doing an investigation. They confirmed with me that I was right and there was NO MINIMUM and stated that the merchant (ie. YOU) write up the deal and that they are only responsible for advertising it. So clearly, if you want to be angry at someone, it shouldn't have been targeted or directed towards the consumer. The only person you have to blame or be mad it is yourself for making that error. I hope that this serves to let you understand the facts that happened in this situation today and that no other customer will leave that store the way that I felt leaving today. Wish I could give them negative stars. They sold me tile that was as crumbly as chalk then they were not willing to replace it, claiming that open boxes of mosaic tile are not returnable. They did offer to come to my job site to look at it, but they never said they would replace it. I could easily break the 1" mosaic tiles with my bare hands. I needed to move my project along so I spent $600 to have the partially installed defective tile removed and $400 on new tile purchased from Tony's. Since they were not responding to calls or email, I reversed the charges on my credit card. They waited a year then they took me to small claims court and won the case because I no longer had the defective tile and the judge thought their offer to come onsite was sufficient, even though they never indicated that they would replace it. Obviously they spend a lot of time in small claims court because they were well-known to the judge and they were the plaintiff in two cases on the docket that day. The owner had to sort through a STACK of small claims cases when my case was heard. Beware that their business model seems to be centered on ripping people off and/or taking them to court. read more

I want to assure you that first, the store is still very much in business and the owner is now there full time, trying to renovate his own tiny office, make room for the enormous amount of tile, find time to meet with every customer and also do research and bring more exciting stuff into the show room. Tile is Style was recommended to me by my friend, who lives in Needham and she renovated her bathrooms just recently with the tile she bought from Slava. She is definitely a happy customer who doesn't write reviews! Her bathrooms look stunning: tasteful and elegant (and on a budget), so last year I have decided to give it a try. I bought tile for my bathroom and couldn't be happier. First of all, the owner allows you to take home as many samples as you want. You are just asked to provide your credit card number in case you never come back. Reasonable. Second, he never tells you which one he thinks is better: he gives YOU the choice. It's your bathroom after all. Also, he went above and beyond to make sure I didn't carry anything to my car and from my car and had always helped loading my car with everything - from boxes with tile to cement, to grout. I wish I could post a picture of my bathroom (after all I am proud first time owner. Who-hoo!!) Now, a year later, I am about to start putting the tile in the basement and I am obviously back to Tile in style. You won't find a better selection and you won't find it at the prices this store offers. I searched them all - from big conglomerates to smaller mom and pop shops, and since I am on a budget, I do care. The basement tiles arrived last week. Yes, Slava is now delivering as well, after he finally got his huge new truck. And the basement floor is on its way, so I will keep you posted when all is done. I did a major bathroom renovation in my house that involved replacing pretty much all the bathroom fixtures. At first I decided to buy everything online because I could get really good deals. I gave up on this idea because there were too many things to ship to my work address. Besides I wanted to make sure that my heavy glass shower door was in good condition before taking the delivery. Someone mentioned Tile in Style store to me. There weren't that many reviews. I decided to give it a try. I printed out the items I wanted to buy along with their prices. The prices were quotes from the online stores. To my surprise the owner was able to match most of the prices and I went ahead with the purchase. All items arrived within two weeks. I had hired a contractor to install glass shower door that I has just bought in Tile in Style. He messed up the installation and blamed it on the door. The door did not sit square with the wall. I called Slava, the owner of Tile in Style and asked to return the door. He offered to take a look at it at no cost to me. He came to my house and convincingly demonstrated with a laser level that the door wasn't properly installed. At this point I didn't want to call the original installer to reinstall the door because I lost confidence in his skills. This is a very heavy door and it has to be installed properly so that it doesn't fly off the rail causing an injury. Slava offered to reinstall the door for $400. I agreed. He showed up one evening with an assistant. They has to disassemble the door first, clean it up and reinstall it. It was a very tricky installation because walls in my bathroom weren't level. It took a lot of time to install the door properly. They labored for 8 hours, that's what I call dedication!!! The result was a perfectly installed door. Slava didn't ask for more money despite the fact that the job turned out to be substantially more complex. read more

This review is long overdue but I wanted to let everyone know about how impressed I am with the store and the inventory. I first found out about tile in style in Newton from a family friend that used them for all his tile, lighting, cabinetry and custom products. Where do I start? Well when you walk into the store you can see the time and devotion that was put into setting up a one of a kind showroom with an amazing selection. Slava and the team are great they listen to what the customer needs and they always deliver 150 percent. The products are all good quality and if they say they will do something they follow through. My wife and I have used tile in style for tile, mosaic, cabinetry, vanities, lighting, toilets, trim, grout, Legrand switches and accessories, and much more. We are doing a large renovation to our home and we always enjoy coming in to bounce ideas and check out products for our home. So as you can tell I can go on and on about this store but in a nutshell I obviously highly recommend tile in style. I have been telling all my friends and family members about how great this place is and the awesome quality products. Keep in mind this is not just a tile store, they have many more products. I purchased glass tiles for my kitchen, from "Tile in style". At first, the owner made a wrong calculation and charge me almost twice the price. He missed calculating the price thinking every box contain 5 pieces but actually, there were 8 pieces in a box. After buying the 12×24 glass tiles my contractor couldn't cut the tiles without breaking them. We tried at a professional place that expertise in glass cutting and they refused to do it - they said it can not be cut. I went back to the store explaining the issue, and the owner didn't want to give me my money back, he wanted me to work with one of his professional guys to cut it. So I had to spend another week, trying to contact his guy who also failed to cut this tile. I came back to the store asking for a refund, at first I was told that this was a special order and I won't be able to get my money back... after arguing... he agreed to refund only full boxes. A box that is missing one piece is trash according to him. I ask for our all my money back, saying that he needs to take responsibility for selling a product that cannot be cut. It is not my fault! At least he should have warned me. The store owner was rude, his wife was even worse he did not let me finish a sentence, did not want to listen, he took no responsibility, trying to say its the installer problem that he does not know how to cut the tiles (even if his guy could not cut the tiles as well). He and his wife said that when we purchased the tiles, we signed a contract that stated the store will not return money for open boxes, that was a lie, at purchase we signed nothing, when I asked for a copy of the signed contract, they failed to provide the purchase order with our signature. I would never do business with them again, I hope you will not as well. People like that, need to learn how to treat customers here in the US, maybe such behavior works where they came from, not here. I visited the Tile in Style showroom today. Olga was incredibly patient and helpful and I cannot say enough good things about my experience. I went in to narrow down our choice of back splash and floor tile and left after an hour with a few choices. I will return next week to purchase one of these options. Olga was knowledgeable about the products and willing to show me whatever she thought might go with our cabinets. Yes, the place is a bit crowded but they do have a great selection of products. I don't usually write reviews, but my experience with Tile 'N' Style was so completely different from the other posters that I felt I should. Tile 'N' Style is a small, family-run store - there are a ton of tile choices, but you don't feel overwhelmed. We found it had a great selection of beautiful contemporary tile and great prices. Slava, the owner, was attentive but definitely not pushy. We were free to browse around the store until we settled on a couple of things, and then he was very helpful in pulling out variations and helping us find coordinating items. After we ordered, he delivered the tile on schedule and at no extra charge, and even made sure each box of grout was next to the right box of tile so there wouldn't be any mix-ups in the installation. When we needed samples, the owner promptly ordered them, when we took a long time to make our decisions, he patiently provided helpful advice, when we needed a recommendation for a tiler, he helped us find a great guy on short notice. Overall, he devoted a lot of personal attention to our project that made a huge difference. read more

I never write reviews. But the experience I had at this store was so bad I really feel the need to share with others so you won't go and waste your time there like I did. The salesperson, Slava, could not have cared less or have been less helpful. He had no personality (odd in a sales role), and didn't show me any variety of what I was looking for. When I asked him any questions, he replied as if I should know. Considering how large my budget is, he just kept saying how other options are more "money" or more "expensive" or whatever he was mumbling. I asked him for an opinion (maybe there was some professional knowledge to save this man lacking in other areas... but nope, none of that either) and he retorted "It's your house, isn't it?" The store is also in rough shape, with barely any room to walk. They just poorly pile displays over one another with no labels to know what you're looking at... I used to shop tile a lot and tried many different places. Was not surprise with really bad service in this store. I read comments and already expected I possibly will have a challenge in this store. But anyway I'm interested in good deals and decided to try. So I ordered couple of samples and left my credit card information as deposit for those samples. I noticed what in this store original stickers was concealed with hand made new ones. I scratched stickers and googled tile on my phone. I understand what store supposed to make money but not like this making prices 3 times more. Then i said about this to the owner and offered negotiate the price because I thought prices was unreasonably high he noticed what I take a look below stickers and starts to shout at me and said what I spoiled his samples and charged my card as a refund for ordering new ones until I know that in most cases stores get these samples for FREE. I was really disappointed and no way I'd be a customer in this store ever again. Later I found exactly the same tile in Best Tile store in Dedham twice cheaper and made a good deal with 20% discount! Now we are dealing with Living social customer service - waiting on call for 1/2 hr 45 minutes, and then being told they will give us deal bucks and not refund as their refund policy is 7 days. I feel bad I recommended this deals to other friends and each one of them has to deal with this painful process because Living social did not screen the merchant properly before letting them put the deal up. I must say, my experience at Tile in Style could have not be better. We went through a whole house renovation and the project required multiple trips and several iterations between the staff at Tile in Style and us, as well as with our contractor. Slava, in particular, was so kind to keep his shop open after opening hours multiple times, to allow us to be there after work. His patience against our multi-process decision making was paramount. We ordered many items there, from tiles to vanities, accessories, and more. Every time he priced the merchandise very competitively, even compared to online stores. He also interacted very smoothly with our contractor, saving us time and nerves. The selection there is great, they really carry for all tastes. I find Tile in Style to be one of those amazing little shops with a great selection and awesome people who really love their business and take big pride on what they do. And yes, I hope Yelp WILL show my review and NOT bury it under the pile of the "unrecommended" ones!!! read more

Review from a perfectionist... I am very pleased with the service at Tile in Style. Not only they have a huge selection and a variety of tiles and everything else one may need for the project, but they also give valuable and constructive advice on the installation processes. Without success I visited many tile stores looking for porcelain tiles in beige color variations. Everyone switched to modern textile designs and bright colors excluding customers who like simple elegancy and timeless style. During the renovation project of two bathrooms I placed several orders. Every single one of them arrived quickly and I was notified right away. Even though one of the orders was rather large it was delivered to my house for a nominal fee. I was working with both Slava and Olga. Few small orders I placed over the phone, which saved me trips to the store. When we went on vacation, Slava worked directly with my contractor, who was pleasantly surprised with the product selection and great service. When I got frustrated looking for marble thresholds and corner shelves to match the porcelain tiles I purchased from Slava, he offered his help. I could not do the better choice! Several times Slava made an extra step to help moving our project smoothly. Competitive prices, professional service, constructive design/installation advice, flexible hours, attention to details. I wish I had known about this place a bit earlier as I would have avoided a 10-day project holdup associated with waiting for shipment of one missing plumbing part.
