100% Disabled Veteran Warning: Marra Flooring & Their Supplier I rarely leave reviews, but after a year-long nightmare and $60,000+ down the drain, I feel an obligation to warn others. From the very beginning, I told Marra that the one thing that mattered was a floor that wouldn't creak, splinter, or trigger me -- something that has bothered me since my deployment. A year later, I'm stuck with the exact opposite. What happened: Safety hazards from day one: Boards chipped immediately and lifted early. My kids and I have gotten multiple slivers -- some up to ~2 inches -- lodged in our feet. Marra didn't seem to care. Worsening over time: Even replaced boards are lifting, creating elevation changes you can feel underfoot. Rob, the owner, told me directly it was the last time he was addressing the floor -- despite obvious issues that remain. Not normal wear-and-tear: Marra staff, installers, and even the manufacturer's inspector acknowledged this was abnormal and a bad situation for me. One inspector told me outright he wouldn't sell this product because of its known chipping issues. Installation & project management failures: Basic protocol ignored: The subcontractor installers (honest, professional guys) told me they disagreed with Marra and said the flooring wasn't acclimated properly in my home before installation. No real project oversight: The project manager asked the subcontractor how replacements were done -- he didn't even know himself, nor was he present half the time. Missed scope / measurement mess: They missed ~15 sq ft. Even Dylan admitted it was missed. Later, they rewrote history in email with "not in scope." I re-measured: we had more flooring left than the zero-waste minimum, proving the 15 sq ft should have been installed. Mismeasurement ripple: At one visit, even Glenn questioned why 33+ boxes were still on site (more in spare room), he was the one that mismeasured. Supplier red flags: According to the DOJ (press release, Mar. 25, 2025), Marra's supplier Evolutions Flooring and its owners settled an $8.1M case over falsifying import records and evading duties on Chinese flooring. The whistleblower (Urban Global LLC) that sued them was extremely helpful to me. They confirmed my suspicion: if a supplier will cut corners at import, it's not a stretch to think they'd cut corners elsewhere. They even connected me to the only U.S. lab that can properly test this wood (located down south). Promises not kept: Refunds: Dylan promised to reimburse me for my own product used during repairs. We used more of my product than the manufacturer provided. No refund to date. Verbal vs. written contradictions: In person, Marra (including Rob) staff called the issues "unacceptable." Rob said he would be fixing many spots he pointed out (spots that still exist today). In email, they walked it back. Lack of urgency: I had to push to get inspectors scheduled, then push for updates. When inspectors came, they didn't even check all damaged areas. Manufacturer tried to say it was my basement being too cold, Marra didn't push back on this to my knowledge. How I held up my end: I followed all manufacturer specs and even went above and beyond by installing a robust HVAC system exclusively to protect the flooring's environment. Do your homework before trusting them: BBB: Check their DBAs, complaint history, and ownership structure. Wayback Machine: See archived warranties/spec sheets and how their parent/child entities shift over time. This company shuffles names and info. Turning this mess into something good: I have ~1,000 sq ft of this flooring remaining. I do not recommend installing it, but I'll give it to a veteran or family in need who understands the risks. If I can't place it, I'll sell it and donate the proceeds so at least something positive comes from this. Final note to ownership: Rob wears a cross -- a symbol of integrity and accountability -- but never took ownership of this situation. WARNING DO NOT GO HERE!!!! I MADE A BIG MISTAKE!!!!!! If I could give less than 1 star I would!!! I recently had my floors done by Marra flooring in FRAMINGHAM. At first everyone was polite and professional. The floor was installed, and I promptly paid for the flooring in full. 1 month later I was having a problem with the Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) tiles collapsing near the entry way by front door. The guys came out and corrected the issue. 3 weeks after that the SAME issue is now happening at the bathroom entrance!!! I called and spoke to Rob the OWNER. He came to my home and assessed the issue and said someone would be here in a week to fix it. On the day that was scheduled for them to arrive. They were to be here by 9:30 AM to start. At 10AM I called and spoke to Jim their Sales/Scheduler and he said he was very busy and would call me back. I waited a few hours and called again. I was told again that Jim would call me back by End Of Day. At 4:45 PM I called and was told Jim had left for the day!!!! I called back the next day and was told that there will be a delay because they do not have the flooring in stock and need a week for the stock to arrive. I said that's fine but I was not told that I had to wait a week to have the stock available when I was first reporting the problem. I HAVE SCHEDULED THE REPAIR ON MY 2 MONTH OLD FLOOR WITH JIM TO GET MY FLOOR FIXED ONLY TO BE CANCELLED on 3 separate scheduled Appointments now!! THIS IS HORRIBLE MY NEXT call is to CONSUMER PROTECTION TO REPORT THEM . An extremely frustrating and disappointing experience with kitchen floor installation. The contractor was incompetent and made mistakes which had to be pointed out to him to correct. They did not want to be inconvenienced when a brief pause in the work would have prevented a huge mess in our storage area directly below the kitchen floor. Also, they did not properly prepare for an appropriate transition to be placed between rooms and needed to send another contractor to finish it due to the incompetence of the first and the general manager. Hired Marra Flooring to do a re-carpeting of a master bedroom, upper hallway and stairwell. Had discussed seams during estimation visit and agreed to a single seam, but they had done their 'layout' to minimize carpet usage and added seams independently....and because they did not provide enough carpeting seams were visible (could not match nap direction)....patterned hallway carpet was also installed misaligned to wall....could never speak with owner and was told it was an ok install...the issue was mine not theirs....also during the project there was a good amount of scrapes and nicks to paint which will require repainting Wish I had had the experience some of you here have had....but I'd stay away from these guys and seriously look elsewhere.... read more

Very disappointed in the kitchen flooring and backsplash that Marra Flooring did for us. Numerous delays, wrong product shipped, mistakes in the install, sloppiness with the installs, delays getting some one out to fix, etc. When faced with all of this, their response was basically "Sorry, I'll have a team meeting - oh by the way, you owe me $1688". My parents hired Marra to redo their floors before selling their house. The floors came out nice but the team seemed to cut corners. They asked that we be out of the house for an entire week to have the whole first floor redone, so we relocated for a week. The Monday morning they were set to start they called and said that one guy had called in sick so they weren't going to work on the floors that day. Now I scratched my head at this for two reasons 1. Is this not a team job? No one is going to work because one man is sick? 2. They just so happened to be sick the day after St. Patrick's Day. They went to work Tuesday and were able to finish up by the end of the week, however they did nothing to air out the smell. They should have brought in industrial fans and opened all the windows to air it out. Don't know if they don't do that as a standard practice or if it was skipped due to the time crunch. read more

So after a year of repeated phone calls and empty promises for reimbursement there has still been no resolution to the disastrous floor issues that we now face. The edges of our boards are lifting due to improper installation and consequently the edges are chipping. Now the finish on the floor is wearing away after only a year and a half. I have no idea why but the floor feels wavy ( ups and downs) as you walk along it. Then there are the swirls and grooves that can easily be seen from the sanding job. Hired Marra Flooring to refinish our floors and weave in some new wood in a small section of the floor. The experience started out well but ended poorly. They were kind enough to talk me through the process and even give some samples of stains on wood. When the project started however, different workers arrived for each phase of the project and regularly didn't know what needed to be done. This resulted in having to constantly communicate with their office to coordinate. There were also instances where it was communicated to me that the workers would arrive at a certain time, but then they would show up hours earlier. Upon completion of the project, there was also an entire unused, unopened bundle of wood. When I asked if it could be returned, they offered to come pick it up.... But refused to refund me the amount. So, they effectively gave me two options: Force me to buy something that they'll just take back that I don't even get to keep; or force me to buy something that I get to keep but that I don't need... After putting up with all the other inconveniences and being nice about it; This was pretty unacceptable, poor management and just distasteful. Based on the quotes I got, Marra Flooring was the most expense and I would caution everyone not to pay a premium for average work and what would likely be a worse experience. I will not be using them again for future projects nor would I recommend them. read more

We had a big home center store install our kitchen floor and it was a disaster. I called Marra Flooring and Rob was incredible, he came out and gave us a second opinion (and lots of excellent advice) with no expectation since we were still under contract with the other store. In the end, the other store had to rip everything out and we had Marra redo our floor for us. Rob and Glenn were super helpful in the shop when picking things out, they were accessible, on top of everything, problem solved our slightly curved subfloor before putting the tile down, made sure the finishing touches were done quickly, but still of high quality and if I had any concerns at all, they were on it. I'm extremely happy with the end result! They also worked with my contractor to tile my fireplace and bathroom. It was the same level of great service - any concerns and they took care of it. Marra Flooring has been such a great help with the house that we bought this past summer! Rob came to measure 9 days before our furniture was scheduled to arrive, and we really needed to get the carpet on the stairs and on the second floor by the delivery date. We went in to Marra Flooring's beautiful new showroom and the helpful staff guided us through choosing mid-range carpet that would wear well and could be delivered within the week. The carpet installation was scheduled for the day before the furniture came, and the whole plan worked flawlessly! A couple weeks later Marra's hardwood installers came to put in new oak floors in the kitchen and refinished the rest of the 20-year-old floors so they all matched exactly; you can't tell what's new and what's old! They had to cut out parts of baseboard and rework other odd pieces of trim; the level of detail in the woodworking is high. A week or so later we let them know that we needed some tile installed in a bathroom, and within 2 days he found an opening in the schedule for two of his employees to come over. The workmanship was excellent; they even tiled seamlessly up against some trim that we left in the closet. And then they came back to grout the next day, which was a Saturday! Marra installers are true craftsmen, and you don't have to wait very long to get an impressive project complete. They are all "can do" people! read more

Marra Flooring (and Lynne Langway specifically) was very helpful with the recommendations and advice in selecting floor and backsplash tiles for our big kitchen remodeling project. They worked with our contractor to schedule pick up of the materials, and when we were not satisfied with the tiles we originally selected, they took the entire order back, and promptly placed the order for our new selection. I'm very surprised at all the good reviews here. These folks were subcontracted to come and install our backsplash in our kitchen recently and the experience was very poor. Their guy did a very average job and disposed of his waste material on my property by my shed rather than taking it elsewhere. Two months later, the entire bottom of the backsplash was cracked and separated. After calling here multiple times and being told it was probably the product used that caused the issue, I still couldn't get them back to fix it. Weeks later, and after 4-5 more attempts, I finally got them back to fix it. They didn't even remove the old grout and simply put more caulk over the top of it. Now, a week later, it's cracking AGAIN. Nobody ever owned up to the job being done terribly and still kept saying it was the product or the weather. The work performed here is terrible and, after they get their money, they couldn't care less about the customer. read more
