Beautiful Flooring. Disapointig customer service experience…read more I recently purchased and installed LVP I purchased from DEBSAN in downtown Natick. The flooring is beautiful but I am disappointed in the way a few of the personal interactions went. 1. I always do my own measurements so I can estimate costs while shopping.. The installer Debsan sent came up with a number that was 70 square feet higher than mine. I had another installer give me a quote and his measurement matched mine almost exactly. If their installer was this careless doing a measurement, what type of job would he do? I went with the second installer. DEBSAM has a strict no refund policy. If I had not done my own measurement, I would have paid for an additional 4 cases of flooring plus extra install costs, since they charge by the sq.Ft. That would have been hundreds of dollars more. 2. The flooring arrived 3 weeks before the project was scheduled to start. When I went to pick it up, I Was told by Valleri that a threshold was missing, but it would be in soon. On the Monday morning of the install, I emailed Valleri to find out about the threshold. I let the installer know we were missing the threshold and he suggested we could use one of the other transition pieces. He showed me what it would look like, I liked it and went with his suggestion. Valleri finally got back to me at the end of the day on Tuesday, after the install was completed by-the-way, and told me the vendor had been waiting for "Clarification" and had not sent the piece. I told her the job was now completed and I no longer needed it and asked for a refund. From her response, it seems either the vendor or Valleri made an error which resulted in me not recieving the piece on time. Since an error was made, I asked for an exception to their no refund policy. Valleri's response, "Sorry. Too late." As of the writing of this review, which is 4 days past the completion of the project, I still do not have the piece they are insisting I pay for. The piece cost $45.00 plus shipping.and the total sale was about $4,200.00. Now that $45.00 is not going to break me, but it felt like a total lack of respect and caring about their customer. You do better price wise at a big box store or online, but I paid a little more because I thought a small business like theirs would go the extra mile for their customer if something came up. That is just about the only thing a small business has gong for it over the cheaer discount stores. I was wrong. You may not get personalized service at the big box stores, but the chain stores and online vendors all allow you to return unopened boxes and unused finishing pieces. The flooring for this project cost 4,200.00. I purchased flooring twice before from them. One project cost 1,800.00 and the other was around 3,000.00. First, our designer lost the design plans and tried to cover it up. This caused us to have to try to re-remember items that we had discussed prior. For example, we asked for no spice rack, then we get a spice rack, so we then had to improvise once the project was underway. Completely incompetant...no apologies, and our designer clearly didn't listen the first time, take notes, and honestly just didn't care at all about us. We should have known then, next time we will just walk away..... Next, our contracter was a complete joke. Never inspected the site for follow up / punch list items. Eletrical and Floor contracters were sub par, we still have a light switch that doesn't work properly. They destroyed our dining room floors relocating our refridgerator, with no full repair, just a touch up that looks like crap. They also damaged our mudroom floor and apparently have no idea how to fix what they broke, so I now have a gap in my floor that has never been addressed. Lastly, they never finished the final revisions to the trim. I told this clown several times what we needed to tidy up on, and several times never receieved follow up. In other cases, he did not properly relay instructrions to the sub contractors, so twice we had cabinet / trim people show up without the necessary materials to tidy up. The cabinent / trim guys were the only bright spot in an otherwise horrible experience. I truly felt bad for Bud and Shawn as their time was wasted by our General Contractor. As it stands now, almost 6 months since we were suppossed to be "complete" and zero follow up. I am embarrased to have people show up with incomplete instructions, and our general contractor has not visited the kitchen to address anyting since NOVEMBER of last year. Do not go with this place, over budget, zero follow up, horrible design team, bad sub contractors. Complete waste of time, and we never got the satisfaction of a final, complete, project....

Once I found the cabinets, handles, countertop, and backsplash, the order was placed. Prior to the order, measurements were taken by the sales consultant at Norfolk. This is where the trouble began. Despite measurements being correct, the sales consultant never considered the measurements from my Kitchen window which served as the focal point of the room. Cabinets took 3 weeks to arrive and when my contractors began placing them according to the drawings, 4 did not fit and the 5th came in damaged. Needless to say I was not happy as this should not have happened. When I called the store, no one picked up my call, prompting me to have to drive to the store. When I informed her of the error, she immediately tried to deflect the error to the contractors asking them if they were placed in the correct locations. After approximately 1 hour of trying to reconfigure the plans on her computer to fit the cabinets that arrived, she relented and came to see in-person. Her response to me was, "I don't know how this happened", this has never happened to me before. Who cares! Now we need to reorder cabinets, which was scheduled for another 3 weeks. Needless to say, I was pissed that I needed to wait another 3 weeks for replacements to come in. When I asked if they could be rushed, I was immediately told no, without the benefit of picking up the phone. I let her know I was not happy, and I got the best customer service response ever, "I know it sucks to be without a kitchen for another 3 weeks". Well as luck would have it, the cabinets arrived one week later than the promised delivery date. The remaining cabinets were then installed, and it came time to install the handles. Well, I did not have the right sizes for all of the cabinets. When asked if I could exchange unopened one's for what I needed, again I was told no, but we can order replacements (out of pocket expense). I asked about the time for those to arrive. Guess what? Another 3 weeks, so I had to locate on-line and purchase myself. I would never use this place again, nor suggest anyone else use them in the future.

A measurer was quickly dispatched and even though I was told it would take several weeks for them to receive the carpet, they exceeded my expectations in terms of time. The crew they dispatched to remove the damaged carpet and install the new one worked quickly, efficiently and had my new carpet installed in an hour. They cleaned as they went and left the bedroom squeeky clean. The cost for the Mohawk brand carpet 174 sq ft including installation was $1600 - exceptionally reasonable for this beautiful, tough carpet designed for family living. I found a beautiful marble remnant that I loved. Initially, the salesperson was very helpful and proactive, even taking the time to mark the specific cuts with blue tape to ensure we were on the same page. The Process & Delays: Unfortunately, the experience broke down during the fabrication phase. I was given a specific day for pickup, but the pieces weren't ready when I arrived. This went on for several days. Quality Control & Fabrication Issues: When the pieces were finally "finished," I'm glad I inspected them. The work was unprofessional: * The "eased edge" was very uneven. * The corners were chipped and not cut straight, and the bottom edges remained rough and uneven. At this point, the salesperson was no longer helpful or even involved. I ended up in the back of the shop personally dealing with the fabricator, trying to see if the errors could be fixed. As they worked on the stone, the quality didn't improve. It felt like I was being asked to supervise the work, which shouldn't be the customer's job. There was no internal quality control or professional assessment of the pieces before they were handed to me. The Conclusion: The shop eventually admitted they couldn't meet the required professional standard and issued a full refund, claiming the stone was too difficult to cut (despite it being a marble remnant from their own yard). However, given the uneven edges and lack of oversight, it felt more like a lack of technical execution and professional management. It's a shame because the material is excellent, but the fabrication process was a major disappointment - and now I have to drive to places much further away to look for a suitable stone for my still unfinished project. This area really needs a store with a great selection and expert fabricators.
