I recently got my DME unlocked for Bootmod3 by SSR and I have to admit this was one of the best purchase experiences I have ever had, so I felt the need to share. Living in the Bay Area there aren't currently any trusted/good shops around that I was willing to work with to get BM3 installed on my F80 m3. I was very hesitant to take out and ship my DME down to Socal at first, but after speaking with Shah, I really felt better about the idea. So I finally took the plunge and decided on the BM3 stage 2 with the 91 OTS map. Just in case you are wondering I am running VRSF Downpipes, Active Autowerkes Midpipe and BMS intake system. Shah helped me through out the entire process. They unlocked my DME in the same day they received it and shipped it out the next day. I had a time crunch in order to get my car ready for a meet and he went out of the way not only to unlock the DME but also allowed me to basically overnight the package back to my house; this was on my dime, but I knew that going in. Once I received my DME back I started to put it back and ran into a few issues which Shah patiently walked me through and I was up and running in no time. Now the BM3 review: Although I have only had this tune for 1 day I will attest that this is by far a superior tune compared to any piggyback tune out there. The responsiveness of the throttle is uncanny and I was blown away at how fast and smooth the acceleration to shift felt; it honestly felt like I was driving a different car. I have a non-zcp f80, so the gains were even that much more significant. I can't even imagine how much power this car will put out once I start using some e85 mix or 93+. The burbles sound amazing! I get that burbles aren't for everyone, but personally I love the sound of it. There are a few minor things that I wish the BM3 was able to do such as I would definitely recommend anyone looking into BM3 to give SSR a call. read more

Recently had a big job done here for my f30 328i. My transmission and flywheel were completely blown out by the previous owner. "Car was purchased through Carmax". It was a big bummer having to fork over the money to get this work done, but I wouldn't have wanted to give it to any other shop. SSR actually had pretty reasonable rates for being a well known shop. Rod and Shah were very good at communicating and the work was done quickly. I'll definitely be coming back for other maintenance and work. Hopefully nothing as big as the clutch and flywheel though, but I was very happy with my experience here. I would definitely recommend them, especially if you own a BMW. read more

So my initial visit with SSR Performance has continued to haunt me 9 months later. I took my 135i into my local BMW dealership to do extended warranty work on my leaking valve cover. When the BMW tech was in there, he noticed one of my Injector screws were stripped from a previous injector removal/re-install. Guess who was the only place that did work on anything regarding my intake manifold or injectors? You guessed it, SSR Performance, when they did my walnut blast. Now, I'm the 2nd owner but the previous owner was a woman who only took this car to the BMW dealership under its factory warranty. Luckily I have a relationship with my local BMW dealership and the retapped it for free but if that didn't work, it would've cost me a lot of money.
