Small Thai restaurant in the Arcadia/Foothill/Monrovia area. Owner assisted us today, loved the artwork of his son incorporated into the logo of the business. Started with a Thai Tea, it was delicious. The lunch specials come with rice, egg roll and the main dish. The vegetable dish is seasoned with a garlic sauce but had a lot of liquid and not sauce. The owner was really friendly and the service was quick. The place was empty but mostly a lot of pick up orders or to go. The decor is interesting with real and fake plants, rustic pieces and little stuff that owner likes. All in all, would come back to taste more dishes as it was very tasty and good portion sizes.

I was a regular but not anymore. The portion size shrunk significantly. The plates have become sloppy. I order fried rice and another noodle plate and it was burnt. I don't know if it's the same cooks from before or they are burnt out like the food. I enjoyed the food before but this time it was very bad. I'll just stick to the new restaurant thara 8, more food and not over cooked.

A cute little Thai spot on Foothill and 2nd! My husband and I came by for a couple of lunch specials after finding it on Google and Yelp in the area where we were on break. In a small plaza with a parking lot, this Thai restaurant is a bit of a hole in the wall with an eclectic blend of diy contemporary decor with a few pop culture references. It's lunch specials were about $12 each with an egg roll and rice added on to a small entree. I got the chicken pad Thai and Thai iced tea and my husband ordered the mixed vegetables with pork. Pros: Both plates were tasty and pretty good for the price and so was the Thai tea. The service was friendly and the atmosphere was casual. Cons: The kitchen dishwashing area was next to the dining area so unfortunately the smell of dishwater was present. The restaurant overall could use a little refresh to be more inviting and clean. It's a nice spot, but as is I think a to go order would suffice for some decent Thai food in the area.

I order takeout from here all the time and I'm never disappointed. The food is fresh, flavorful, fairly portioned and fairly priced. I have yet to dine inside, but the restaurant itself is casual, small, and cute. Fave dishes: Pineapple fried rice w/shrimp Chicken pad Thai All of the curries are good

My friend wanted to take me for a birthday meal and i just wanted something quite simple that would have Vegan Options and low and behold nearby where I had to go later tonight was this small Thai restaurant one of my friends recommended.... We walked in and a guy behind the counter taking orders..... Small and clean they just told us to have a seat and a lady sitting in the corner with a cool little boy asked us if we were ready to order...and proceeded to take our order.... I should've taken pictures of the menu it is newer now compared to the ones I see on yelp....there is a caricature of a kid on the menu with his thumb up and looks like putting something towards his mouth...well it is the little boy of the owners (I assume)....he even helped clean up our table and gave us our check....which he brought up the payment to the front.... My friend had the Chicken Pad Thai and I had the Vegan Pad Kee Mao w/Tofu. Both were good and tasty and enough food for us to eat..... Prices are reasonable and I highly recommend giving this place a try whether you eat here or get it to go!

I absolutely love this restaurant. The owners are a very cute husband and wife team and they are super inviting. They greet their regulars by name and are very engaging. Not to mention the food is outta sight. The best pad Thai in Cali that I've had. And I've had a lot. I will continue to support their business and also looking forward to try some dishes that I haven't had before.

Wow I honestly wasn't expecting such a small mom and pop shop to be probably my new favorite…read moreHawaiian spot, but here we are. TK Cafe has thoroughly impressed me off first impression, and if I was closer, I'd probably be a regular here. For how much we ordered, the food didn't take too long to come out and genuinely, was so good. We got a lot here, from the garlic shrimp to the popcorn chicken, and so much more. The popcorn chicken was, without a doubt, my favorite item. We originally came here because a friend said they had the best popcorn chicken, and I'd honestly agree. It was crispy but also still a bit juicy and I feel like most places go heavily into the crisp aspect and it ends up just seeming overcooked. But it was a 10/10 here. The proportions are huge, so it's easy to over order. The crab rangoons were good on the portions and crispness and not overly filled with cream cheese which is nice. The noodles were good, pretty average, same with the Mac salad. The garlic shrimp was a bit overly garlic-y, but it was still good. If you're looking for a new Hawaiian spot, definitely check out TK Cafe. The proportions are huge and the taste is amazing. If I'm ever in Monrovia again, I'd definitely be stopping by!

All the familiar Hawaiian items are here, and then some. They offer A LOT of different dishes, including a whole bunch of dim sum. And their beverage menu is extensive as well, from your basic teas to milk tea boba and slushies. It's pretty impressive how these folks are able to squeeze all this food in this tiny little restaurant. Decided to go with the dish that everyone who has been to Hawaii has eaten at some point: the loco moco. I thought it might be a good way to gauge how authentic their food is. Ordered a side of Portuguese sausage musubi as well. Yeah, I'm a pig. Loco Moco - 5/10: so yeah. This definitely isn't your traditional loco moco, or at least the dish that I grew up eating (808 born and raised). Two patties, mounds of rice, eggs (unfortunately served over hard...should always be over easy so the yolk comes out) side mac salad - check, check, check and check. But then they bury on the bottom of this dish a bunch of stir-fried veggies, which threw me off a bit. This dish ain't supposed to be somewhat healthy. And then they throw a very light brown sauce on it that definitely isn't gravy. More like a brown sauce you'd mix in with pan-fried noodles. Yeah, just not the way this dish is supposed to made. But at least they give you a lot of it! - Portuguese Spam Musubi - 7.5/10: this one was much better. All the elements were there, and yes, they used Portuguese sausages. Hard to screw up musubi, but believe me, it can be done. Two pieces come in an order and they're on the larger side. So yeah, a little disappointed. I will say though that if I'm in the area again, I might order some dim sum. Happy feasting!

If you're feeling like having ramen on a hot day, this is the place to go. Some items have broth on the side. Good service, good clean restaurant. It can get busy. Worried about dry noodles? Don't fret, as they truly pile on the sauce that is both tasty and addictive! Service was satisfactory. There wasn't much to do as we order our own food, but they give you your cutlery and a jug of water at the start so there wasn't a need to ask for anything anyway. The setup was okay. It felt a little cramped and waiting for the toilet while staring at a dirty trash bin wasn't the best start to the meal, but given the space it's understandable. I got the Deluxe Nagoya Mazesoba and my wife got the Original Mazesoba. The original is great but I specifically wanted the seaweed and soft-boiled egg. After a fun mix, I took my first bite and did not stop stuffing myself until the last noodle strand was gone. Seriously, I don't know what they add to it that makes it so addicting but I could not stop eating it. I'm a fast eater usually but even my wife was surprised with my remaining half after her first 2 bites. The sauce would usually be too heavy, but the accompaniments allows the dish to balance itself. It was also not too dry, which is a common worry I have for mixed noodles. At the end of the meal they offer a complimentary rice to mix in with the sauce, though personally I would have preferred a broth as I didn't need the extra carb, but a light broth would have been a great finish. I can see this being a craving, so beware, try it at your own risk... but also run there now!

It's located on Baldwin Ave at the LAF Plaza in Arcadia (there used to be a Burlington there). We had a party of 8, so we ordered quite a few dishes: stir-fried string beans in garlic sauce, French-style deep-fried fish with basil and black pepper, shredded free-range chicken, water spinach with spicy bean curd sauce, sweet and sour spare ribs, spicy eggplant with minced pork in a clay pot, and crispy beef stew served with curry sauce. The first few dishes arrived quickly, and every dish was flavorful and delicious. We especially liked the string beans and the water spinach. The French-style deep-fried fish with basil and black pepper was addictive, and surprisingly it wasn't spicy at all. The shredded free-range chicken tasted fresh, while the eggplant with minced pork clay pot was just okay. The last two dishes took quite a while to arrive after we had already finished most of our meal. The sweet and sour spare ribs flavor was on point. However, we had to check on our final dish several times because we waited more than 30 minutes for the crispy beef stew with curry sauce. The restaurant was extremely busy that night, so they may have forgotten the order. Thankfully, the dish was unique and tasted really good once it arrived. Ambiance alone inside is reminiscent of hanging out at boba shops growing up in the SGV: bright interior, booths and board games, Pokemon and Shrek playing on the TV such a nice vibe to chill with some friends and chat. Most shops nowadays are grab and go so this felt very nostalgic for me. Now for the real hitters: I still am unable to understand how they can serve this food at this price. Beef Wang (16.48) is one of their signature dishes. It sounds really simple on paper, stir fried meat, mushroom, and egg. That's it. I am still wondering how they were able to get such a flavorful bowl from a simple dish and on a perfectly cooked bed of way too much rice so you can enjoy leftovers at home. Super Sea Nachos (35): Our party of 5 ordered our own bowls and shared this thinning it was going to be a simple appetizer. The avocado alone we joked shoulda been 35 . An assembly of tuna, shrimp, imitation crab, with wonton nachos was the perfect fresh accompaniment with the rice bowl. They do not skimp at all on the nachos or seafood and no doubt I'd share another tray with friends another day. They are not the most extravagant dishes, but honestly the quality, comfort, ambience, and value makes this one of my favorite sit down experiences recently.
