This Thai food place is getting worse n worse each time I go there the lunch special used to be 9.95 and it comes with a salad n an egg roll then they raised it to 11.95 which I don't mind due to inflation but the worse part is there portion is too little to pay that kind on price they actually took out the salad but gave n extra piece of egg roll which I'm not thrilled cause I like salad basically there cutting cost n giving very little feel it's not even enough for a little kid. I also hate the fact they charge ..75 cents for using credit card plus no restrooms I think they should let customers use it . I was so pissed off I ordered green curry the rice was so little that I was not full and the chicken bamboo n green pepper was so little u can barely c it on the green curry and 2 small piece of eggplant. I saw this place on Yelp and decided to stop by to grab some quick lunch. I was a bit surprised at how small the place was (think Panda Express in a mall small) with only 3 two-person tables and 1 four-peson table. I was thinking that it would be the size of a standard restaurant. It's more of a quick fast-food setup. So let's see how the food is? There has to be a reason why it's rated so high, right? I got the scallop pad thai (which was not on the menu but I saw that another Yelper got it haha) for me and the yellow curry for my boyfriend. The pad thai was very saucy and I liked it! Boyfriend said the curry was standard in flavor. Unfortunately, he swallowed it before I could even try it so I'll just have to take his word for it this time lol. Two things come to mind when writing this review: 1) This is a perfect example of how Yelp failed me with the 4 star rating, and 2) What were the other 120+ people thinking?? Some even said this is the best (insert food here) they ever had. Please get out of the house more often and experience life! We were nearby and wanted to grab a quick easy bite. Pulled up the Yelp app and saw this 4 star Thai place a few blocks away. Decided to try them out since they're a local business and not a corporate chain restaurant. We ordered a yellow curry chicken w/ rice and a crispy shrimp salad w/ honey dressing for pickup. The curry came in a small soup container w/ 2 scoops of rice separately. There were big chunks of carrots, potatoes and small pieces of chicken. The coconut milk flavor overpowered any curry that tried to exist. This came w/ a free spring roll that was over fried on the outside, but the skin was still a little doughy on the inside. This order was a 2 max. The crispy shrimp salad was very misleading. Being from a Thai restaurant, one would expect it to taste a little exotic, like the popular papaya salad. This turned out to be a common garden salad w/ huge chunks of cucumbers and lettuce (no knife given to cut these btw) w/ pieces of old, shriveled, dried fried shrimp, the kind one would find at a cheap Asian buffet that's one day away from being shut down. Oh, and the dressing is nothing more than some sweet syrup or honey mixed w/ heavy mayonnaise. We ended up tossing the dressing, taking the salad home, cutting up some ham and hard boiled eggs, pepperjack cheese w/ ranch dressing to make our own chef salad, and reluctantly ate the shrimp w/ tartar sauce (i hate wasting food) The service by the young lady (family member?) was perfectly mediocre. Not pleasant nor rude. She did her job of taking our money and handing us the order, period. If you're the type that thinks Panda Express is awesome Chinese food, then you may also be easily fooled into thinking this is good Thai (see above remark about going out more) But if you're looking for anything that resembles actual Thai food, try Orchid Thai in Arcadia, or just grab a sandwich at Subway right next door. read more

I've lived nearby for over 7 years. I spent most of that time looking for a good local Chinese/Thai restaurant, but the best choices were mediocre, to me. Then I tried Srisiam Thai Kitchen. YUM! So far, I haven't ordered anything from them that wasn't really good. I LOVE yellow curry. Theirs doesn't disappoint. I'm vegan, and am delighted that there are so many options for me. So happy to find a Thai place so close to my parent's house. It had been a long couple of weeks and I wanted to get dinner for my mom and brother and found Srisiam Thai Kitchen. I love Tom Yum soup and thought with the cold weather it would go well. I ordered two Chicken Pad Thai's, Orange Chicken, Tom Tum Soup and a soda and lemonade to go. Staff was very friendly and they said they were busy so order took about 20 minutes. Portions were pretty good, we all had enough to get full and had leftovers. The chicken pad Thai wasn't bad, the orange chicken was pretty good and we really enjoyed their lemonade. The Tom Yum soup wasn't my favorite. It had a lot of mushrooms and I felt it was missing something, maybe more lime? but still not bad. I did really like everything else here, but I wanted to point out the menus they have inside and outside did not match what we were charged. We were charged more for our food and the soda. I was trying to figure out why I was charged $6 more and realized the price on the receipt was different than the price on their menus. Just something to pay attention to if you order. Ordered through the Yelp app some of my favorite Thai staples: pad see ew, papaya salad and red curry. All three dishes were only okay. I typically eat Thai food from the Hollywood area, so I'm definitely biased. Though all the dishes were what you expect in terms of flavor, the intensity of spice and acidity was lacking particularly in the papaya salad and pad see ew. The red curry was overall very creamy and rich, but the lack of spiciness muted the overall flavor of the dish. I suppose I could have asked for a bumped up spice level, but I assumed that this being a Thai restaurant, the food is going to be spiced up a bit. Pricing is not that bad. Service was quick as we did it to-go. Plenty of parking which is always a plus. Overall, an okay experience. I will probably try some other dishes in order have a better idea if this will be a regular place on my rotating list of Thai places to order from. read more

One of the veggies was a GIANT hunk of undercooked potato, so that was weird. I loved the pineapple curry and my kids enjoyed the pad see ewe with tofu, which we specified "NO EGG" but they made it with egg anyway, even though she served it to us and said, "Pad see ewe, no egg-". The food is trash can worthy. If there was a poop emoji rather than 1 lone star, I'd select the poop emoji instead. I ordered the Tom Yum, the Special Pad Thai, and a side cucumber salad. There was NOTHING "yummy" about the Tom Yum soup. It had little flavor, small floating turd sized bobbing mushroom caps and 4 undercooked slimy, skinny shrimp. The taste was not good and for fear that I was going to get food poisoning from the odd textured and unappealing shrimp, I poured it down the drain. As for the "special" Pad Thai, the only special thing about it is they over charge you for a dish that is made incorrectly and very poorly. The serving was very small, about one cup of cooked noodles and 3 flat, over breaded fried shrimp and 3 square 1 inch by 1 inch again, breaded and fried cubes of chicken, with the first of 3 small chicken cubes having no meat inside at all. The entire dish was oily, had no flavor and was VERY disappointing. Into the trash it went as well The cucumber salad was fresh, but at this point, who cares. Honestly, if my meal had been free, I would have refused it. My total bill was $34..00 and into the trash my food went. For dinner I had an apple and a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. Save your money and do no frequent this restaurant, you're only in for disappointment and garbage that you have to pay for to throw out. Worst of all, you'll end up looking around the kitchen for something else to eat, realizing you wish you would have eaten anything else at home before ordering such a horrible meal. Update: I have to update my post just to highlight the mango sticky rice. We like that dessert already, but the owner recommended with the house made coconut ice cream and it was heavenly. Despite being so full already we devoured the dessert. And if you like trying different things, ask them what they recommend because there's some good stuff we would not have thought to try but now love (papaya salad, beef jerky appetizer, etc).
