    Great space to work!

Really great shop with a nice ambiance. I was sad that there were little to no vegan options available. I was lucky I had packed snacks. I worked for a few hours and enjoyed watching the dogs pass. I would come back for coffee!

Squirrel Chops is a charming cafe in the Central District of Seattle. The coffee is top-notch and the pastries are delicious. Give the chocolate chip cookie a try. They're huge! The staff was also very friendly with treats ready to give to our furry four legged friends. Although the space is a bit small, the outside seating area was a nice touch and overall I loved the vibe of the establishment. I highly recommend this cafe for a quick drink/bite, meetings, or a casual stop to mingle with friends.

First of all the barista was stellar and super helpful and friendly. They were patient with some of my questions and confirmed my order and milk alternative, which is also always nice too. The service alone would have made this spot 5 stars and highly recommend for me. The barista seemed to know many folks that came in and this spot truly felt like a neighborhood coffee shop that was a part of the community. The drinks were also excellent though. Well made and unique but still tasty flavors. The menu had strong fall vibes but honestly I kinda prefer those types of cozy drinks to the bright or fresh "spring" drinks. I hung out to do some work in the space and it seemed surprisingly open for a Thursday late afternoon. I left at close feeling excited to come back and do more work here another time soon - would definitely recommend!

My favorite food item at Squirrel Chops is the Turkey Swiss with the relish. This sandwich is it! I don't even like mustard. I love stopping in and having my coffee there, i've met the nicest people there!

A tiny place for coffee and haircuts. There are seasonal drinks, plus their signature "squirrel mix." It's a little watery and not strong, but still tastes great. Seating is very limited: 6 tightly close bar seats and 2 tables, plus a couple outdoor seats in the sidewalk. Worth a try if you're in the area!

Squirrel Chops is one of my favorite places to get coffee at. I've never had a bad cup there! All the baristas are great. I also love the vibes, a fantastic place to hang out with friends

One visit was earlier in the morning, and the place was packed. The line was nearly out the door. The second time was later in the morning; the pastries were wiped out, and the place was still decently full of coffee drinkers. I ended up visiting the second time because of their very cool merch selection, and I regretted not buying a shirt I liked the first time. I only tried the espresso here, though they had many other tasty-sounding drinks and delicious-looking pastries. The espresso was not bitter, well-balanced, and at a great temperature. They serve it right with sparkling water on the side. Absolutely perfect! Out of all of the coffee spots in Seattle, Anchorhead Coffee is worth the visit for sure!

GET THAT!!!…read more that is all i need to say, this coffee was soooo good. maybe because my favorite cereal is honey bunches of oats, but it is literally the coffee version of that cereal. Its nice and sweet, hints of honey, and the coffee flavor is not so strong where the bitterness overpowers the flavor. I wish they had more locations outside of Seattle, this place is truly soooo good. However, the cup is small and its a bit on the pricier side for the size you get, but its a great coffee shop to try when youre in Seattle!

The staff was so sweet, drinks were ready quick, and the overall vibe of the cafe is perfect for relaxing and studying. I also love the selection of Asian goods and local artist-made stickers they have by the register (I got a totoro sticker)! I first tried the turon matcha which I thought was good but had a mild banana flavor. I was expecting more of a caramelized flavor but I still thought it was good. The next day, I ordered the matcha einspanner. Their housemade yoka whip was so yummy and added the perfect amount of sweetness to the matcha latte. Overall, the matcha here is smooth and both drinks weren't too sweet.

I wish I lived in Seattle so that I could come back and try their other tea drinks as they all look delicious and it made me so happy that they have Boba and toppings . The inside is very mid-century modern and beautiful. Lots of spaces to work from and outlets. They also have a little mini market where they sell Matcha among other things. I loved everything about my experience there and would absolutely go back. The employees were also so sweet.

When considering value, I want to say 4 stars but I think it's justified to be 4.5 and round up. I…read morereally paid around $25 for two drinks, but they were tasty so I'm bouncing back and forth here. Most people have claimed this is the best matcha spot and it's easily up there among the top. Visited on a Friday morning just before rush hour. Lots of people were already seated working and a ton started lining up after us. Honestly surprised the wait hasn't died down more. Not sure what the cup sizes are, but there is a small and large. I'd guess small around 12oz and large around 16oz, but unsure because they like to use the shorter, stubbier cups. Price is steep. Oat milk still costs extra and is not priced in. Sweetness can't be lowered. Most matcha drinks have set sizes and no flexibility. Those are some of the main downsides. Beyond that, everything such as ambiance, coziness, third space vibes, and quality are upsides. Banana Pudding Matcha Latte - this drink is so good. Matcha super smooth, complementing the banana pudding with a soft texture. Matcha is a bit on the sweeter side and cannot be unsweetened, but caters to the general majority. Banana flavor elevates that sugar a bit more but not overly so. Definitely more of a dessert but also a hefty $11 price point. Strawberry Matcha Latte - while the matcha is again smooth, whisked well, and umami, the strawberry jam is nothing special. I personally see strawberry matcha as the older, safe choice for those who disliked the bitter or grassy tones of matcha. Similar idea here, which I think detracts from the quality of the matcha here. Would skip this for any of the other drinks.

Terrible service…read more.. My friends and I were so excited to try this place out because we have had heard great things. We did a roadtrip from LA to Oregon and then Oregon to Washington. We were finally in the area to try Phe out and once we got there we were not greeted by the staff but with a long line. This only meant the drinks are really good right? Once it was our time to order, the lady behind the register had the most bothered face on her. I understand, dealing with a "rush" of paying customers, it can get overwhelming, but it shouldn't be taken out on others. Anyways, we tried very hard to be nice to the worker and we asked questions about the matcha to get an idea on which to order but her attitude was completely disrespectful. I don't think this worker wanted to answer any of our questions or even help us at all. She laughed and with an attitude said "ha what?" when my friend asked about the matcha quality and notes that can be expected. Again, I understand working in customer service can get overwhelming sometimes, especially on a Friday morning but this experience just made us very uncomfortable and not welcoming in the slightest. It also makes it difficult to justify a $12 matcha when the staff is horrible (receipt in picture). The drink itself was good and the presentation was great but I'm sure you can find the same elsewhere in the city with much better customer service.
