Do you offer any in-house catering for an event?

We do do not provide catering at this time

What is on the kids menu? I see all the options for adults but nothing for kid options.

They’re able to adjust any portion for kids so tinder’s, etc can be made in a size for children. They don’t specifically list a kids menu but are able to adjust for you.

Does it smell fishy? I'm with someone who cannot stand the smell of seafood (like raw shrimp, briny fish, etc) so I just want to make sure it smells okay.

Not in the slightest.

My family and I are big Top Gun fans so we really appreciated all the little Knick knacks they had. From the piano with the "Great Balls of Fire" sheet music book, flight jackets, pictures and art-work, etc, it was all so cool to see. They also have a pool table and some arcade games on the wall that you can also help yourself to enjoy. Really cool bar to come with friends. Tried Dragon Point IPA - 8 out of 10 stars. For appetizers, we tried: 1. Nachos with brisket up-charge (they don't mess around with their brisket.) 2. 1 pound of wings (came with 6-7 wings) - regular wings 3. Loaded tater tots (get it loaded, when it first came to the table it wasn't loaded and you taste the difference. Sorda like tots that came out of the freezer...) For my entree I ordered the Maverick Burger - a 1/3 pound burger topped with their smoked brisket and it comes with kettle chips on the side or you can choose to substitute with something from the "ground control sides" for an up-charge. The burger was truly cooked to perfection and it was tender and juicy. The staff were also very friendly. We only saw two waiters/bar attendants but it was fine since it wasn't busy for lunch time. May be different later in the evening. Great experience at Mavericks. Definitely coming back after a beach day.

Patty was undercooked (I like pink, but not raw) and totally unseasoned. Flop. Somehow the bun stole the show. Kettle chips were meh, tots were straight-up frozen vibes (should've gone loaded). Drinks were hit or miss--Old Fashioned was rather sweet, and the "Ice Man's Chill" had zero fizz. Definitely more bar than restaurant--no hostess, a little figure-it-out-yourself--but all good. We had our two teens and never felt out of place. Live music was loud loud... like can't-hear-your-own-table loud. Maybe I'm just old. Outside was packed--one-sided picnic bench life. Not ideal, but manageable. Clean spot and service was solid once we got going. We'll give it another shot--I want to give this place more stars next time. Pizza looked legit (thin, crispy) and smoked wings have potential. Maybe happy hour is the move. We're new to the area and love supporting local places.

I would rate this place 0 stars if I could. The food was okay, though hugely overpriced for what we got. The service sucked. We weren't able to get seating outside, so we had to sit in the bar area. The "waiter" (i.e. bartender) took forever to bring us menus, plates, silverware, etc. Took even longer to take our orders. And I watched him across the room...he wasn't busy. When I ordered my shrimp basket, he told me it came with a vegetable medley. I told him I didn't really want that. He told me, "Well, that's what it comes with." And he turned away to take my husband's order. RUDE!! Waiters should ALWAYS offer different alternatives! The food was not hot when it finally arrived, and the portions were small. He stopped by a few times to ask if we needed soda refills, but otherwise did not waste any more time on us. He didn't even ask if we'd like dessert. He just dropped the bill on the table and walked away. When you add that to the fact that they deliberately add an extra surcharge to your bill to cover the cooks/dishwashers' wages because they're too cheap to pay them a decent wage...no, we will NEVER be returning to SquidLips! $95 for three small tepid meals that didn't even include sides we liked? Outrageous!! read more

Great! Love that they are in the old Conchy Joe's location and saved the building. It is a fun building. Has some character which really lacks in this area. Clams as appetizers were excellent. We had a problem that the pipes above us were leaking and we were getting rained on!. The manager addressed it, (the servers appeared to not know how to handle)moved us, however our server abandoned us. They were busy, but it was something that he needed to manage. Either give us to the server in the seating area or remember that we moved. He literally never came back and then didn't acknowledge it or apologize or offer a free dessert when we insisted that he return. It is all still a new change, but with a few tweaks to polish their act, it is a great outing. read more

I visited Squid Lips in Melbourne on a Sunday evening with my daughter. We sat on the beach which was a nice atmosphere on the water and my daughter enjoyed playing in the clean white sand. Our server, "Sily Lily" was lovely. My daughter was tickled to see she had the same name as her. Lily gave us great service and was patient and friendly. We enjoyed the Smoked Fish Dip which came with plenty of flavor and crackers. I got the Oak Grilled Fish Sandwich with blackened salmon. It was AMAZING, I will be ordering again. My daughter also enjoyed her meal, she ate all of it. I was visiting for a short time, this is one of the restaurants that was recommended to me. I wound up eating there twice - the brunch was very good, I would have said it was overpriced but we had a BOGO 1/2 off coupon which made it well worth it, I liked the Egg Benedict station the best. I also had the fish special one night, I believe it was double portion because the quantity was huge! It was also very, very good. Honestly, I only dinged it one star because I ate outside to enjoy the weather and water, and apparently you can still smoke there. Not a fan of that, I wound up going back inside. read more

We have been here several times with the family and the food is OK at best. The kids like being outside and by the water, so on a weekend afternoon its good for that. The service is usually pretty good, but this last time was not. The inside is a bit cramped but even on a Friday night, you didn't feel like you were bumping elbows. If you want solid seafood, check out the Old Fish House. If you want waterfront, look elsewhere but you won't go home hungry eating here!

I opted for fried shrimp and clams with Caesar salad and Cole slaw. Salad was delicious. Shrimp tasted like they were just caught. Clams were ok. Served with a variety of sauces. Very nice!

Everything on the menu looked delicious. Ordered the Shrimp & Crab roll... was not disappointed!…read more Shrimp were tender and the crab showed up in abundance. The steak fries were some of the best I've had- fresh and crisp. All of the servers were friendly and seemed to genuinely enjoy helping folks. I was missing some goat cheese on the steak and goat cheese flatbread. It was more like steak and flat bread. The steak was good, but it needed more cheese. The Greek salad was huge! The only thing missing was potato's salad. The dressing was a cucumber cream dressing, which was very tasty.

I'd love to review the food, but I've never actually made it that far. The "bartenders" seem to operate under the impression that customers are an unfortunate side effect of working in a bar. I spent a decade behind the stick myself, so I understand bad shifts, shitty customers, being slammed, and wanting to throw a bar rag at someone. But these people appear genuinely offended that you had the audacity to walk in, sit down, and attempt to give them money. Management might want to consider a controlled burn followed by a complete rebuild. Seriously, if your resting facial expression says, "I fucking hate you and everything about this place," maybe hospitality isn't your calling. There are plenty of careers where interacting with humans is optional. And spare me the "restaurant business is tough" excuse. Sandbar manages to employ people who don't look like they're serving a prison sentence. Long Doggers somehow finds employees capable of making eye contact without conveying pure contempt. So apparently it can be done. At this point, I have no idea if the food here is amazing, terrible, or prepared by a Michelin-starred raccoon in the back. I'll probably never know, because I can't survive the first line of defense long enough to order it. Maybe management should stop worrying about getting people through the door and start asking why the people behind the bar seem so pissed off that they came.
