    I'm Changing my review alot Due to Chris the director of operations.When they did arrive it's like they took another break to load up Less Then Half a Room.5* to The team I had who was a Hispanic guy and a guy named Chazz.They look like they been slaving from a previous move.My husband had to help out Chazz.My table was damaged.Student movers who moved out most of the house before Cow came charged $300 & didn't damage anything. 3 Men movers only paid $250 to move everything out of 2 bedroom apt.A&B movers charged flat fee of $300 to move the whole house.Recomend Iron Back Movers,Houston movers,Los Flores movers and Optimum charge less. Lol

    Updated: A different manager contacted me after I first posted this review and was apologetic about our experience. He reiterated that they are not really equipped to pack "not carefully" and they train their employees to always wrap things carefully. He listened to my complaints and offered to refund up quite a bit of our cost for both time and materials. He said they wanted to work to make us satisfied customers so we might use them again. So I have updated my review to 4 stars since it was a bit of a hassle but glad that my complaints were handled professionally and courteously. Original post: We booked square cow last minute to pack up items in our kitchen cabinets for a kitchen remodel. When we booked we were up front about our situation and told Kayla that since boxes were not really "going" anywhere that they didn't need to be packed carefully. We were putting everything in the garage so no worry about breakage. Well fast forward to 5.25 hours after arrival and our kitchen was not done. Granted, we have a lot of cabinets. Bryan, the manager, came to our house to check since the crew was taking a long time and said it was a 5 hour job. Considering a friend has his whole 3 bedroom house packed by a different company for a move across town in 8 hours, we just feel ripped off. We also paid $180 for "supplies"- about 21 boxes- which seems a bit crazy. It's so hard to know what a "normal" amount of time for this job should have been, but my biggest clue was when we started unpacking. This took for.ever since they triple wrapped everything. I found plastic solo cups wrapped in paper. They also didn't label boxes so I had to unpack absolutely everything to find stuff like oven mitts, towels. When I have a bad experience I always go to the manager to try to make it right. Bryan initially replied super fast and said he wanted to fix this. He offered to unpack the few boxes we had left but when I declined (for 3 boxes) he said he was having a meeting and would call me back the next day. That was 13 days ago. I've emailed to check in but nothing. Like I said- hard to know in this kind of thing if they are just "running the meter" and using tons of paper and supplies and taking their time, or if we just legit had to get our sippy cups triple wrapped. If you are worried about breakage then maybe they are a bet

    This was my first time moving on my own and SCM have made it so seamless and stress free! I have seen their truck on the highway before and they were the first mover company that came to mind. I scheduled the movers via phone a couple days before the move. I have a very tight work schedule therefore my moving window was very narrow. They were punctual, efficient, careful, and quick. I will definitely be using their services again!

    The right piece is the one that got hit and fell off, the top one got a giant gap and no longer closes all the way.

    Movers arrived late, my dresser was damaged and I'm out for $200, but there's a reason I'm still giving them at least 3 stars. The movers were 20 minutes late, but in less than 5 minutes of calling Square Cow I was on the phone with John(manager I believe), who was extremely helpful. With most services being so computerized and automized now a days, I was shocked with the amazing customer service and understanding that he provided. It's definitely something you rarely get now a days. I should also add the movers were also very down to Earth and great guys - just late. Sadly my drawer that was handmade by father was damaged. Albeit it's a beautiful drawer, I still had a lot of respect for the movers honesty and integrity to tell me about it. He promised he would fix it with gorila glue, which they did, it just didn't work since the top of it also got hit and it no longer fits inside. Do I recommend Square Cow? Absolutely. They're friendly, fast, and have great customer service. But in all honesty, did my moving process leaving me somewhat disappointed? Sort of. I will say this though: I do truly appreciate how honest they were in regards to being late, damaging my drawer, attempting to fix it, and disassembling my headboard free of charge.

    I have moved no less than 20 times in my life. Actually far too many to count! I dread each and every one of them! This time I hired a company I had never heard of with a very funny name ( that's why I picked them!! ) . I'm so happy I did! They cam out ,gave me a very fair quote and confirmed my available date. On moving day they showed up on time and got right to work. They sent 5 very nice young men and two trucks. My job was a big one! Mettrick, Mitchell, DJ , Drake, and Dupree ware amazing! So polite and funny! I could tell that they really enjoyed each other and their job. They went above and beyond! They were so different from the other companies and I'm so grateful! I would definitely use them again and I will refer them to all my friends

    We just had new floors put in so they were able to maneuver around the debris and were respectful about the new floors.

    4 movers worked hard all day and were very professional. Nothing but "Yes ma'am" and "Yes Sir" all day. Just a 5 mile move but took all day (estimated for 10 hours, but actual was 7 hours as we had packed very well and taken a 15 foot Uhaul loaded myself a few days before) with a 4 bedroom house. Head mover Marco was especially on the spot. Definitely no complaints and very satisfied, thank you.

    This was the second time we've used Square Cow Moovers and our experience was excellent both times. Monty was the lead mover on this move for my elderly parents from the Houston area to the Dallas/Fort Worth area. Everyone was professional, courteous, and they worked very hard and efficiently. Having had bad experiences with other companies, this was a welcome huge improvement, and the price was great too. Thanks to Monty and the entire company! Highly recommend.

    It's not just a motto, it's the way they are. Such a pleasure to work with.

    I can't say enough good things about the crew from the Yale street office. Led by James Moore (no relation) with three very capable crew members: James Mason, Eli Eastman, and Elvis Perez. They did an extraordinarily job of packing our 2,500 sq. ft apartment and moving it into a three story townhouse. Not only were they very, very polite and communicative with us, and helpful (they would not let us lift a finger). But their communication with each other was also impressive, as was their attitude. They were also very polite and helpful to each other; like a team would be. A better crew I have not seen before. I think they realize how stressful and tiring a move is for their clients and do everything they can to make it go smoothly, which it did. Yes Ma,am Yes Sir No Problem My Pleasure It's not just the slogan on their T-shirts, it's their way of doing business, which they truly seem to enjoy. This is my second move with Square Cow and i will definately use them in the furure and recommend them without reservation.

    This review is strictly for the packing services that they offer. I am writing this review as the packing is still going on. After much research, I decided to go with Square Cow (despite them not being the cheapest quote we had received) because of what they said on their website about clients being able to leave their place as is and the packers handling it all. They suggested 3 men instead of 2 but when they heard that I only had 2 beds, 1 tv table, 1 book case, a chest, and a dresser without a mirror, they agreed 2 men would be enough. During the week prior to the move, I did get started on my packing and packed over 75% of my 2 bedroom, 1 study, 2 bath apartment in advance. All they had to pack up was my kitchen and my closets when they arrived. I had called them 2 days in advance asking them if I needed to tell them how many boxes I would need. I was told, "no one can ever predict how many boxes they will need. Do not worry, we will bring THOUSANDS of boxes and all packing material." Great, right!? I was wrong. The two men arrived on time. However one seemed experienced and the other clueless. After a while, I get informed that they did not bring wardrobe boxes because I did not request them. ..that that is a specific request. I don't understand why when I book packers, I have to specifically ask for wardrobe boxes. Isn't that a given that I would have clothes in my closet? Never mind. He said he will wrap them in blankets. Oh well, I let go. Next, I get informed that they forgot to bring packing paper to wrap all the art. So now those would also get wrapped in blankets. I walk into the kitchen and see that my wine glasses are not wrapped but tossed in a box with beverage bottles. At some point they realize, they need more help and have two more guys show up. I was impressed. Thought i would write a rave review after those additional guys really speeded the packing up. Thought they redeemed themselves. Not the case. They stayed only an hour. Now 6 hours later, we still haven't finished loading the truck AND some things remain unpacked still because after using the 20 boxes we provided, they ran out of their own boxes. So I believe the guarantee I was given of having enough boxes for us was false. The only reason I am giving them 2 stars instead of 1 is because the men who are still here are extremely hardworking, courteous, and willing to help in every way. Plus it just started storming and they are very chill about it! Just really not OK with how management handled the whole thing. I can only imagine the nightmare I would have faced had I not finished majority of the packing. I will update this review to include the moving aspect when I have more information on that. Update: Received a phone call from the manager informing us that they usually pack the day before. Why was I not informed of that? No idea. What can they do now? Nothing. Why are there no wardrobe boxes? My fault. Said they will call me back. No call yet after 2 hours. It's now been over 8 hours. Things are still not packed completely. Truck still not loaded. No extra men. No phone call from manager. AND GUESS WHAT? They are leaving a few things behind because there is no space in the truck. Find it hard to believe when I don't even have a couch, coffee tables, mirrors, dining table, chairs, study table etc...that an average person has!! FINAL UPDATE: Eventually, the whole move from one apartment to a house (8 miles distance) took 13 hours. Some things (approximately 6 to 8 boxes worth of stuff) is still at the apartment which we will have to get on our own. Some boxes have been left in the garage even though they were labeled. I don't blame the guys for it. I am sure they were pretty exhausted. Management admitted to miscommunication and decided to come to a settlement (even though they alluded to going through the legal route earlier when we said we will not pay them for 13 hours of this nonsense). In the end, I respect them for THAT part. Will I use them as packers again? Probably not. Will I use them as movers? Maybe.

Some things I was not happy with were that the "climate control" was on the warm side. When I got my furniture out some of the off-white pieces had darkened and discolored, I assume from the heat and humidity. Also, some items with glue or adhesive were damaged. I don't know what temperature the building is supposed to be kept at, but it wasn't cool enough. When I rented my first unit there was a trash can in the lobby area where the elevator is, but eventually that disappeared. The dumpster is also inaccessible to customers. There is a restroom by one of the elevators, but every time I tried to use it, it was locked. If vagrants getting in the building and using the restroom is a problem, then why not require the doors to be opened by codes all the time, not just at night, or put a key code on the restroom door? That way paying customers are not inconvenienced too. I was driving about an hour to get to the storage business, so a restroom would have been very helpful after a long drive. Many times when I came to put something in or get something out of storage during the week, the same car was parked right in front of the doors to the elevator. I never saw anyone getting in or out of the car while I was there, so I can only assume it was an employee's car. There is not a shortage of parking, so why park in a spot that is going to cause an inconvenience to customers? If I ever need to rent a storage unit again I'm not so sure that I will go with Big Tex again. They are pricey for what you get.
