I got the individual gluten free crust margarita and cannot even begin to describe how incredible it was! Highly recommend.

Salsiccia

I needed to make an emergency trip to Summit, NJ and I stopped at SQR Artisan Pizza to grab a slice before making my three hour pilgrimage back to Pennsylvania. After taking a look at the various pizzas they had in their display case, I began to salivate while hoping the pizza tasted as good as it looked. At first I thought the cost for one slice was a little steep but the did look artisanal and were above average in size. I chose the Salsiccia slice and sat. Shortly after, my slice was served and was cut into two portions. It was love at first bite. The crust had the perfect amount of crunch and stability and the flavors of the toppings married well together. Definitely a great slice and I felt the price was absolutely justified. It's too bad this place is three hours from where I live otherwise I would be back often. On the day I went, it was nice out. The storefront doors were ajar, joining the dining room with outdoor patio seating. The place was clean and quiet. Service was quick and friendly. If I am ever back in the area, I would definitely return for a slice and also bring home a whole pizza to crush later.

Perhaps it is a pet peeve, but I am always irked when the price charged is higher than the price listed. In this case it was for a salad and when I pointed it out, it was mentioned that new menus should be coming soon. That means they are aware of the problem, but don't bring it to your attention. Unfortunately, even though I overpaid for it, the salad was sadly unedible. It may better to call it a soup due to the amount of salad dressing covering the spinach. My pizza slice was reminiscent of a good quality, frozen pizza however, nowhere near what I think of when I think of Jersey pizza. On the other hand, my wife thought the pizza was good.

Vodka Pizza / Soppressata Pizza (gluten free crust)

Staff is so nice, the vibe is an upscale pizzeria. They serve yummy gluten free pizza - this is not just plain cheese gf pizza, this is yummy pizza crust with any speciality toppings you want!!!!! Such a great friend for celiac and gluten free friends. They also make their sorbet in house and it is dairy free and extremely yummy and high quality.

Was back for The Xmas holiday and couldn't wait to hit up SQR for another visit. I was not disappointed. This time I went for the white and jalapeños pepper pie slices. Both were very good and the portions were huge. The crust was soft and flakey and cheese was quite fresh. Excellent customer service as usual along with a very clean dining area. All great qualities of a great dining establishment.

Two slices cut in half. One is the Spicy Chicken Parmigianoand the other is the Vodka Pizza.

I was here about a year ago and the owner suggested I try the pasta the next time I come in. I ordered the linguine Alfredo. It came out piping hot that I almost burned my mouth. The linguine was al dente. The portion was too small. I was hungry afterwards. It was $17.95, so there should've been bread, salad or something in addition to the pasta. After I was done, I had to get a slice of pizza to fill me up. The service was good and they brought it to my table. The ambiance was clean and kind of a rustic look. I also ordered a peligrino lemonata. I will be back but only for the pizza slices. I do recommend them but only for pizza.

Reference to gluten free pizza. Ok I cannot comment on the regular pizza but this gluten free pizza is delicious. I pigged out and got 2 slices regular and margarita -- amazing The crust tastes awesome! The staff here where so nice They offer Atlantic health discount 15percent off I asked for a glass of water they gave me a bottle and said please take it ( I of course offered to pay) So bottom line is we need to keep great places like this in business so come support my new favorite pizzeria

Oh LAWD, this pizza is good. I love that they let you do half & half on a large pie, and I REALLY love that it was only $20! That's the cheapest price I've seen for this style pie, and certainly not what I was expecting in a pricier town like Summit. We got half cheese, half margherita. I preferred the margherita because I love that mozzarella-y taste, but the plain was great too. The sauce wasn't my favorite, it probably could have had a liiiittle more flavor, but the dough was SO flavorful, and surprisingly light! Bottom was crispy. We thoroughly enjoyed it. Lastly, all of the staff -- the person that took our order, the person making pizzas behind the counter, the person that brought our food out -- all different people and all incredibly friendly. Loved this place and can't wait to go back to try some different slices!

Pizza was very good - wish they had their own delivery people and wish they used the small pepperoni slices on their pizza instead of the soppressata. Other than that the pizza and crust were very good. Their sauce is tasty and their meatballs were pretty good. Will order again.

Their gimmick is that they only make grandma slices (haha get it Square... SQR) which some people call Roman slices (hahahaha get it, SQPR... SQR). It's $15 for two slices and a drink and sure the slices are a decent size, but that is Manhattan tourist trap prices. However, this could all be put to rest if they just make good pizza... and it's slightly lackluster. It just tasted off, the sauce was a bit sour, the cheese rubbery. All around just a lackluster pizza for top dollar.

Excellent pizza. Interesting varieties. Also a "slice" is more like 1 1/2 so it's a pretty good value. Nice place.

This restaurant is located in the lobby of a nice hotel and it was a surprisingly large space. I had indicated in the reservation that the dinner was for a birthday, and they kindly gave our group special menus with happy birthday at the top, which was a nice touch. We were given complimentary focaccia and olives to start off the meal, which they refilled halfway through. We ordered crabcake and calamari for the table which were both good. For my entree, I ordered the creste di gallo whch was just alright and I probably would not order it again. To end the meal, we were given limoncello shots and a dessert with a candle and happy birthday written in Italian!

We went on a Sunday at 1:30 thinking we could order from the lunch menu but they only offered the brunch menu which was very limited. I ordered the salmon entree which I enjoyed but most of our group got burgers or the frittata (the frittatas were so bad that they didn't charge us for them). Burgers were okay but with American cheese only and it was practically burned into the burger. We tried to order bread for the table but they don't offer bread for brunch which is crazy. We got the basket of mini danishes and croissants which were like dessert before the meal which was annoying. The drinks menu was very large and $$$ but I didn't drink. The table shared a few desserts but I didn't taste. The decaf coffee was very good. I would go if someone else is paying. Not worth the money.

For $125/person, I had expected better tasting food though. The small appetizers (spinach salad, prosciutto, Parmesan, olives) may have been put together from a grocery store. For the pasta that we rolled out, the staff only added a plain tomato sauce. The side of vegetables was overcooked and mushy. Tiramisu was all right. We can blame the taste and texture of the pasta on ourselves, because we made it, but I had expected the rest of the food prepared by professionals to be better. No drinks were included -- Healthy Italia is BYOB. There was a nice intro video from the owner telling us about her history and philosophy. She said that she doesn't measure ingredients, and only mixes by feel. How does one teach a cooking class like this? If someone is taking a cooking class, they are less experienced and need precise measurements and instructions. Our flour and water were measured for us, so I guess they do measure something. We were never told the measurements, so didn't have any recipe or any specific learnings to take home. I enjoyed the social time with my group, and especially the long table set out for our group in true Italian fashion. It made us feel like a big cohesive family. However, for $125/person, I felt like we could have had a true learning experience elsewhere or had a much better Italian dinner at a restaurant with drinks. In fact, on the subsequent evening, a few individuals from our group went to a restaurant and ordered similar items served at this cooking class, and the food was remarkably better. And yes, it was less than $125/person with drinks.

We decided it was worth the gamble, and boy did we hit the jackpot. We loved the BYOB option, proudly flaunting local beers while most tables had a bougie bin of ice helping to chill their wines. As we sipped on our own version of bubbly, we started with a couple of delicious appetizers - meatballs and fried burrata. While both were great, the meatballs were the clear winner, served hot in a small cast iron skillet. Moving to the main course, the pasta ragu was another hit. It had a bit of a peppery undertone, but wasn't spicy, just a wonderful blend of spices that gave it a unique flavor. For dessert, I had an apple-based dish that was a special that night. While again another creative showing, I think I'd stick to some of the simpler options on the menu (like a Caramelized banana split - YES PLEASE)
