Jon and his teams did a very good job painting the condo. They arrive on time, completed on time. I had to get done the last week of June and this was ok. The house was clean after they left. He protected all the furniture and the stuff well. His crew were professional and pleasant. I had a terrific experience with Jon and his company when I hired him to paint my apartment. He always got back in touch with me on all our email communications, right from the very start. When we met to look over the apartment and the job that needed to be done, he showed up on time. I was very impressed when he told me that some of the walls painted in a lighter color would not necessarily need to be primed. He could have easily told me all walls should be primed and charge me a higher rate, as some of the other painters I met with had done. As far as his price, the quote he gave me was significantly less expensive than those of other painters. As for the job, Jon told me two days to complete everything, and that is exactly what it took. There was no mess left behind, no complaints from the building staff. Jon had the proper certificates sent over to my building's management promptly and in advance, so everything went completely smoothly. And my apartment looks terrific! He was able to carry out every one of my requests in terms of what to paint and in what color (and there were 5 colors) to the letter, despite the fact that I had changed my mind on the color schemes a few times! All cracks and minor deformities in the wall were corrected as promised, and the corners between two walls with different colors, whether from one wall to accent wall, or side of beam to underbelly of beam, or wall to ceiling were done perfectly- perfect cut- no stray paint where it didn't belong whatsoever. I'll definitely look up Jon again for any future jobs, and will refer him to my friends. read more

They use Benjamin Moore paint, so you are being offered the best quality paint. If you plan to hire him, be very clear about any needed plastering. They travel very compactly with necessary supplies, will cover and move your furniture, and clean up afterwards. His people ROBBED me. John painted my liv rm and removed the popcorn and damaged the apartment by not covering the area and removing the drapes so they wouldn't get dirty (this was clearly outlined in my contract). The AC was broken bc the popcorn and paint fell into it and the balloon shades snapped because his people raised them high the roping became snarled and stressed. The drapes also had paint on them. I've had no success in resolving these issue with John and will likely have to take him to court. I think some of his 5 star reviews are fakes. I was moving into a new apt in Brooklyn that desperately needed a paint job, but I couldn't ask the landlord. It was a lot - a fast move, with a kid into an 1870s apt (with some bad chipping paint and a lot of wall to cover.) I couldn't do the work it would take to fix the whole apt. I contacted Jon to see what he could do. He and his team responded very quickly, right before Holidays. They were super professional but with an attentive and kind demeanor. They responded to photos of the place to give me a ballpark and then came in person for an estimate. They helped me prioritize what I could achieve in my budget and stayed open and available to meet the deadline. They quickly and efficiently patched walls, ceilings, and painted the apt so it felt like a new home. They finished a day earlier than planned, which was worth its weight in gold. We recently purchased a coop, and have done the normal new purchase fix-ups, and had the normal issues (high quotes, late arrivals, extended timelines, general unpleasantness). We needed to paint our 2 bedroom, 2 bath, plus office co-op apartment in Manhattan and picked Jon because of the stellar reviews. Even with all the glowing reports, he and his crew exceeded our expectations. I would describe them as super professional, efficient, and with a very high bar for quality. Part of the reason the paint looks so amazing is because of the superb prep work they did-- retrospectively, the walls and trim were in much worse shape than I thought, because they made our whole apartment looking really premium with the quality of their work. After the first morning when we met to review the plan, we just left the door unlocked for them (which I was nervous about the first day and then I wasn't anymore) and when we came home after work we could see giant progress-- but they left the apartment clean, tidy and livable every day too. Jon was easy to work while also clearly taking his work and commitment seriously, and seems like an all around high integrity person. Full of character and woodwork, this was no easy task, yet they handled it professionally and efficiently, and delivered a meticulous product. Wow! These guys were amazing. They made me want to find more stuff to paint in our apartment. Jonathan was extremely professional and knowledgeable and made the whole process completely painless and easy. We live in a 150 yr old brownstone with tons of cracks, quirks, and very high ceilings. This was no problem for them - they patched and brush-painted and whatever else to make it look better than it ever has. Jon and his team did a fantastic job painting my new apartment on the Upper East Side. I found Jon through yelp after receiving 3 prior quotes to paint the apartment. The apartment is in excellent shape and was recently renovated so Initially I thought it would be a simple job to repaint. All 3 prior quotes were exorbitantly expensive and estimated that the work would take several weeks. Jon came in and instantly noticed how good of condition the apartment was in and that painting the place would be an easy job. Jon's quote was about 70% less than the highest quote we received. Usually I would think the discrepancy in price means a dip in quality. That is very far from being true in this case. Jon and his team are nice, professional, and extremely efficient.
