Finding a knowledgable, fair and honest mechanic is incredibly important. Without one you can waste a lot of money on unnecessary repairs, time spent going back and forth for things that should have been fixed but weren't, and even endangering your family if safety repairs were neglected or done poorly. That is why when I found The Sprinter Expert to service and repair my 2019 170 wheelbase 4WD Sprinter it was a good day. Before discovering The Sprinter Expert I had been to two different Mercedes Benz dealerships and two different Independant mechanics and was disappointed each time. The dealerships charge a fortune and try to talk you into things you don't need. A recently retired Mercedes mechanic who worked only on Sprinters for 15 years told me that really knowledgeable Sprinter mechanics are rare. One of the independents I went to was a fancy shop with multiple customer service representatives a beautiful front desk, fancy customer service area and a nice multiple bay shop. They charged me prices at or above what dealers would charge and tried to talk me into expensive repairs that I did not need. The last independant that I saw was honest and affordable but he did not specialize in Sprinters and did not have a lift that could work on mine. Then I found The Sprinter Expert. The price they quoted for replacing rear brakes was so much less than the fancy shop quoted that I thought he gave me the price for only the parts. I tried to explain; "No, I mean the whole cost for labor and parts, total." He said; "That's for everything, parts and labor." I took it in the next morning. They did a great job and I got it back that afternoon. Since that day I have gone back several times and they always do excellent work and I have confidence that if they tell me that something needs to be done that I didn't know about, it really needs to be done and they aren't just trying to maximize their profit. They don't offer a fancy show-room/office with customer service representatives who seem more like salesmen, cappuccino machine, soft drinks and music. They do offer fast, expert work that you can depend on at fair prices that won't require a second mortgage. read more

Poor customer service. These people must not road test their vehicles. And definitely do not care about their customers time. I took my sprinter here for a check engine light. They diagnosed the problem as being a battery issue. They replaced the battery for $350 plus $80 labor and $160 diagnosis fee. Then charged an additional $65 for DEF fluid without asking me first. The vehicle was picked up and driven for less than 6 miles when the check engine light came back on . Vehicle codes clear when the battery is disconnected. I guess their tech didn't know this or did not record all the codes prior to disconnecting the battery so my original issue were never fixed. Upon calling the owner, he said for me to bring it back in, and he would charge me another scan fee to diagnose the vehicle. What? You guys didn't do the job right the first time! I am very disappointed in there performance. This was my third time going to them. My prior dealings were with the nephew who is great. I would avoid the owner. He is very unkind, rude and doesn't stand behind his work. read more

This folks drink, eat, sleep, dream Sprinter Vans. Its hard to find a diesel mechanic, never the less an honest one, or even a mechanic that is experienced or would even consider working on a sprinter. That was my experienced until I seen this shop mentioned on a number of VanLife forum websites for being the Sprinter Vans, T1N Gurus. I had my coolant and oil mixing in both radiator and motor, thought my T1N was done for, I decided to visit this shop and was amazed by all the other sprinters, they even walked me through the possible repair diagnoses and costs which helped me tremendously prepare myself, thanks to their honesty and experience it was the oil cooler failing which is the best case scenerio. They showed me videos of their testing and had my van ready for pick up the next day and their prices are very reasonable and economic. Definetly will be making this my go to shop for now on. If you would like to go to a shop where you are greeded with a smile and hug, and offered a cup of Latte, they do have a Mercedes Dealership a few minutes away, however if you don't mind folks who get straight to the point, drop off your van and go along your day, and have ready for pick up very quickly at an affordable rate and repaired by skilled professionals, I would definetly recommend this shop, thank you guys! 2 days of research and failed repairs after part replacements for a limp mode issue in my 06 van, diagnosed in 5 minutes and fixed in 20 min at Sprinter Expert. If I had found them earlier I wouldnt have tried to diagnose the problem myself for fear my local mechanic wouldnt know about the nuances of sprinters. These guys are outstanding!! They are honest and extremely knowledgeable!! Besides saving a thousand dollars compared to what the dealer would charge, Anatoly diagnosed the problem in minutes and I was back on the road in a bit over an hour with replaced Turbo O-Ring, Resonator and lower turbo hose replaced. At a dealer I would have had to wait over an hour just for a diagnosis, if I had an appointment. I showed up with out an appointment when they opened at 8AM. They are very focused and efficient, explained exactly what needed to be done in both time and money. Found these guys on yelp from Dallas, Texas - they quoted me a price $1,500 LESS than the smallest price my Dallas repair place estimated - and worst case it could have been over $7,000!! But these guys confidently gave me a price under $300 without even taking a look and I ended up leaving only paying $258 and with working glow plugs! And fully educated on what maintenance the glow plugs need. These people KNOW SPRINTERS. Worth the drive! They got me in the day I called. Also - while I was there waiting, a guy pulled up with his sprinter and said this is the best place to take a Sprinter. They know what they're doing and they keep the price low! read more

Not someone I would go to a second time. Owner was abrasive and unreliable. Employees were completely unhelpful. Took multiple calls and texts to get any sort of response over the course of 2 weeks, and when the job was done, the repair was incomplete. I had to go back the following week to have it completed, and after paying full price for the incomplete job, he tried to charge me an additional service charge for the second visit. I may have saved $50 off of what I would have paid at the dealership, but I would have gladly paid the extra $50 to have the piece of mind that I would get my vehicle back at some point with the correct parts. read more

HONEST, Fair, and definately EXPERT! After receiving a "bogus" diagnosis from BM European Auto Service & Repair for intermittent smoke coming out from my front drivers side tire area, Anatoliy Gurduiala, from Sprinter Expert, told me over the phone that he knew for a fact what the "problem" was and now after 9 months there is no doubt that he was right! BM European Auto Service "diagnosis" was that the High Pressure fuel pump was SO damaged that it needed to be replaced at a tune of $1631,with my $150 :estimate fee applied of course! --Anatoliy, at SPRINTER EXPERT went so far as to take my front tire off just to convince me where the smoke was coming from...an exhaust pipe from the Internal Heating System that all Sprinter Vans come equipped with regardless the climate; that my daughter had accidently turned on with the dashboard control buttons. That's it! (This Internal Heating System is to be used to temporarily keep the inside of the vehicle warmed while running errands in the colder climates with snow.) Even though he was hesitant, I GLADLY gave him a $50 "estimate" fee for assuring me that my Van wasn't going to burst into flames on the freeway due to a "damaged fuel pump", that Dani at BM European Auto had suggested!! Now I can breath easy, knowing I have somewhere safe to take my Van, even though it is a kind of sketchy area of town! BTW, Check of Paypal...You can seriously trust these guys! read more

My friend referred me these guys and just like the other reviews say, Anatoly is honest and reasonably priced. He convinced me that I would pass smog after being told I wouldn't by another mechanic. And he was right, saving me $1k-2k to rebuild my exhaust system. Very disappointed!!!! I thought they were really"the experts" but at the last service they rushed it and they did a bad job. They didn't add enough transmission fluid and it kept jumping and acting up weird. I went back to complain and they checked it and said everything was good and normal but it wasn't because it wasn't like that before the service, just that simple. I just took it to another European car specialist mechanic that I trust and he just started all over with the transmission service and replaced all the filters or whatever needed to be done because apparently they didn't do it properly. The jumping was gone, it was smooth as before the "sprinter expert" touched my van. I'm so happy he didn't ruined it but so mad I had to pay double so I could make things right. Thanks so much Anatoli . Problem SOLVED . I have heating problem with my Roadtrek sprinter 2006 . Changed the thermostat , Flushed the radiator still didn't solve it . The needle keep going up almost to the RED . Went to the Mercedes dealer in Carson Nevada they said nothing wrong with it ??? Asked another sprinter mechanic he said the sprinter always hit that high up when going up hill . We went to Anatoli and he changed the Fan Clutch and VOILA my car running so good now . Going up hill so smooth ,never hit above the 180 mark If you guys have a sprinter van please go to him . He is so busy but he will take good care of your van .
