I was here overnight and it exceeded expectations! There was plenty of parking and the hotel is massive. Check in was quick and friendly. I reserved a big room that comfortably held five people. The closet space was a walk in which was a pleasant surprise. The sofa was shockingly comfortable and did not cause any back problems. Bathroom was sufficient and very long. There was a cute desk space that you can put partition for privacy. In the morning, the complimentary hot breakfast was delicious and the waffles were great. I especially recommend the cheddar biscuits as they were savory and soft. I liked how there was a separation of the hot water from the coffee urns. No coffee taste in my tea! There is additional bathrooms on the first floor near the dining area for public use. read more

Brand New! Very clean! Very REASONABLY priced hotel ONLY 3 Miles away from Hampton Beach- so if you're headed there and don't want to pay the astronomical prices for a hotel across the streets then I highly recommend you check this place out! Aside from the Ashworth- the hotels on Hampton Beach are pretty sleazy IMO. This hotel has all the amenities! An indoor pool (small but clean and cute), a fitness center, complimentary breakfast. Nice lobby. Lots of parking available. Business/meeting center. Computers with printer. Exterior is just as nice as the interior with great decor and design. Patio with umbrellas and fire pit! Very nicely contemporary designed lobby and wooden separators. Nice landscaping. Nice outdoor furniture. Room was large! Nice/clean roomy bathroom/shower. Beautiful large window with great breeze- except for safety reasons probably opened up about 2". Microwave & fridge in room. Large comfortable bed with extra sofa that doubled as bed. Large desk which served as separator for room for the sofa bed/area. Large TV (only gripe is it was sort of in a weird position). Not in front of the bed nor in front of the sofa- but luckily you can swivel it to either side! TV Had a bunch of extra subscription services included. DISAPPOINTING HOTEL STAY With few chain hotels in south Maine to choose from, we stayed at the Springhill Suites by Marriott Hampton Portsmouth in Hampton New Hampshire. We used points to stay at the hotel that was charging over $300/night during Maine's high season. For the rate it was charging, this should have been a first class hotel. It was not. The small room was very narrow with very little space around the bed. The furniture was white laminate and there was not enough storage - only two medium drawers, a small closet and two very small bedside table drawers. The room had a microwave and a small refrigerator that was not very cold. There was NO SAFE. We could not lower the very cold AC and had to often turn off the AC and suffer the heat. The TV reception was very bad. The bathroom was brightly lit but the walk-in shower was small. Dining at the hotel was not good. There was no coffee/tea bar during the day. The breakfast area was too small for the number of guests at the hotel. Plus the breakfast went from just okay to bad. The first morning was scrambled eggs, bacon and waffles plus hard boiled eggs, breakfast breads, cold cereal, oatmeal, apples and bananas, yogurt, fruit juices, milk, tea and coffee. The second morning featured scrambled eggs, really bad boiled turkey sausage and a prepackaged sausage egg biscuit (Jimmy Dean?). The third morning was a disaster - they ran out of hot food by 8:30 a.m. My friends and I left and got breakfast elsewhere. There was no housekeeping during our stay. We threw out our garbage in a garbage can outside the elevator that was not emptied by the time we returned that evening. People left garbage bags outside their rooms that were not picked up by the staff which I guess meant that the hall carpets were not vacuumed either. Restaurant Tip: visit Community Oven Pizza in Hampton for a good New York style pizza. read more

I stayed here for 2 minutes and would happily stay here again. The staff was friendly, rooms are very spacious with two nice-quality queen beds, living room area with fold out couch, and desk. The shampoo, condition, etc. was of a spa-like quality and the shower had nice pressure. It would have been nice to have the option of a bath, but that's okay. Their breakfast was included and generous and included eggs (hard boiled and scrambled) with accompaniments, baked goods, yogurt, oatmeal, juices, and two stations to make your own waffles. So fun! I would happily stay here again. Also, the room insulation is good here; this is a hotel with a lot of kids sport traffic but honestly, I didn't hear much at all when I was in the room for the night. The exercise room and pool are excellent too. Also, huge shout out to Alvin, who manages the breakfast scene every morning with efficiency and a smile to boot. Both times I stayed at the hotel this past month, he was memorable for how kind and excellent he was at his job. He expertly helped man the waffle maker when people had challenges and even made a special one for my daughter! He takes pride in his work and it shows. Nice new hotel , Nice room set up ! Pool was closed Breakfast- Pre packaged Bars , danish , cereal , yogurt, coffee. Jacob checked us in - He never greeted us , I had to tell him we (2) rooms in our group were here to check in . It was Saturday 1:30 pm , After he asks us both for our ID and CC he says " You Guys Got Here WAY EARLY! , But since your Marriott Gold Members I'll check you in " Jacob proceeds to tell us that NO one will go in your room and that if we need anything we are to come to the front desk to get it . After a few minutes he warmed up and became friendly . Abbey Was super friendly and helpful that evening when we asked for extra towels . Good location right off highway and only 4 miles from North Hampton Beach . Just A New Hotel with great PTAC ( AC units ) nice beds and good layout, nothing special here! read more

We stopped at the property for a night en route from Upstate New York to down east Maine, and it was the perfect place to stay. The property is new, well, equipped, well maintained, modern, and spotlessly clean. The room was well appointed and comfortable. It is a very family friendly property. The Covid precautions right from the entry to the room are great, masking is required and respected by all guests; signage encourages distancing and is followed; guests and staff were very respectful of the policy, and the hotel took inordinate care to ensure guest safety. Clean pens were provided for each signature, and front desk staff were behind plexiglass. Breakfast was grab and go, so there was no congregation of guests in the lobby or anywhere else. Most importantly, the young lady at the front desk, Abby, was amazing. She made it a point to check in with every guest on their needs, was prompt and effective, and even though she was the only one manning the desk, managed to deal with various requests from multiple guests with none of them feeling like they were waiting. She somehow managed to deliver a crib to our room while managing guests checking in and out, got our ice packs for our toddlers cooler frozen, and gave our kids treat bags. She gave us the treatment befitting a Ritz Carlton at a Springhill; individuals like her are a rare breed, and made our stay extra comfortable! read more

I didn't have a reservation but stopped at Springhill Suites after driving for over 13 hours. I was greeted warmly by the front desk staff. I asked about availability and thankfully, they had open rooms. I was in a King Suite on the second floor. It was quite nice, including a sitting area, comfortable writing desk with chair, King-sized bed, and roomy shower in the bathroom. The king bed was comfortable, covered with a cozy duvet. There is a trundle bed included if needed. The writing desk was different, situated in the center of the room, which I liked. There was no lack of electrical outlets that can be a source of frustration when staying in hotels. Springhill planned for the travelers' need of recharging multiple devices. The tv (49") was large enough to be viewed from the sofa or the bed. The room is complete with a mini-frig (not stocked) and microwave, along with a personal coffee maker. The bathroom includes a lighted makeup mirror and a hairdryer is provided for convenience. The lobby is nice and inviting. They have a small "market" to purchase snacks, drinks, aspirin, etc. Possibly better than most, the breakfast was hot, buffet-style American cuisine. The business center was disappointing. It wasn't a "center" but a computer on a wall next to the front desk. I needed to print out an itinerary but could never get the printer to work properly. Needless to say, having a computer in the front lobby wasn't the best place to do any work. As long as you aren't there for work, you'll enjoy the hotel. My tennis team booked this hotel for our tournament weekend in the area. We all agreed it was a perfect fit for our needs. Each room has two queen beds and a trundle bed. This made "bunking up" easy for those of us who wanted to. The rooms and bathroom are large. The beds are comfortable and most importantly the hotel and rooms are clean. The hotel opened several months ago. I hope they can keep it this pristine look. My shared room became our hanging out room well into the night. We were at the end of a hallway which helped but no other hotel guests complained about the noise and we definitely had a sponge noisy moments. We never heard noises from other rooms. I appreciate it when walls aren't paper thin. Sadly, our tennis team didn't do so well but the area was great and the hotel perfect for our very fun weekend away . read more

I would for sure recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone! I am not sure about the rest but our room, room 130, was absolutely beautiful! Double queen suite with trundle bed couch! Right as we entered the room we came into the "sitting area," which had a over sized couch which housed the trundle bed, a desk with chair that had a partition that gave the sleeping area a little bit of separation and privacy and a little cove with shoves and a huddle micro and mini fridge. In between sitting area and sleeping quarters was a gigantic television, maybe a 50 inch flat tv. This was prob the largest tv I have ever had in any hotel I have stayed in. The tv was also mounted to the wall on a bracket that sadly moves tv around to view in either section. Next you see the very comfy queen beds....some of the best pillows ever for sure! Each bed had mounted reading lights as well as side tables with multiple plugs for any device. Room had large space saving dresser to put things on top as well as draws for clothing. I think there was a small table near window of room but I can't recall really. Next was the amazing bathroom wig sliding frosted pocket doors! Most beautiful bathroom ever! Walk in glass shower! This bathroom has amazing lightening and three awesome mirrors! The sink was even beautiful! The toilet was even made to give a little bit of privacy if someone was using shower or sink. Only negative was the shower head...would really be amazing if the shower head was updated to match the look of the entire bathroom maybe a rain shower head or something like that? Would have loved to have stayed during a time when we weren't having a pandemic would have liked to been able to hang in the lobby or used the pool or even the outdoor fire pit, maybe some day! Hotel not very far from Main Street or the beach! Out of all the other places around I would for sure try to stay here out of any of the others! Well worth the price! My only other complaint would he that I needed 2 nights and when I booked it was sold out. I did try to go to the desk in the am and ask the woman working if by chance anyone had canceled and instead of looking to see she simply said no sorry. Would have made it a little more believable to have atleast looked at the computer. So instead we had to book a room 20 mins north and stay separate from3 other teammates and their families, it is what it is I suppose. read more

This hotel was wonderful! I often travel for business and am loyal to the Marriott brand - this new hotel did not disappoint! It was recently opened and is clean, easy to navigate, and visually pleasing. I had lots of room to work in my hotel room. I love that I was able to use a mobile key and use mobile check in and check out. Easy parking, easy to find, and great if you're in the Portsmouth area but don't want to stay downtown! The location was perfect for our needs as was the price point. The hotel was clean and the staff was nice. The breakfast was a little lean, not always having milk. There was some high school sports teams in the hotel during our stay, so I'm sure the breakfast area got cleaned out in a hurry, but there was only one person on the property, so the food supply was neglected. The lobby coffee was only so-so, but the coffee pods in the room were much better. The mattress was perfect making for a good night sleep. read more

Okay I'm going to be really honest with this review because I see all the good reviews and I hate to be that person (especially because I'm a black woman so I know here I stand out pretty well) but my stay is not going so smooth. I'm currently staying here on business so I'm here for almost about 2 weeks. I got here after working in the evening and everything was pretty normal and the hotel is not bad at all. However upon my arrival I was told due to COVID-19 the room would be cleaned every other day which was not a problem until the day i was suppose to get room service. i got off work to find that i did not receive room service and i had no towels to take a shower. I went back downstairs and told the young lady to put me down for room service the next day and to grab myself some towels after a long day at work. The next day after that I got off of work again and my room was still not clean! Now there's 3 days worth of old food piled over in the waste basket and it smelled of old seafood and breakfast syrup so i went downstairs again. I told the young lady again that my room has not been serviced again and i would like for a mangers card. She then asked me if i wanted someone to come up to clean my room which was pointless because at this point I'm going to bed. I told her someone could come get the trash but there was no need in cleaning up as I'm going to bed. Today as I got off of work I got a notice under my door about smoking inside of the hotel room as if it was made out to all of the guests but when I asked one of the guests if they had got one as well they had no clue as to what i was referring to! So I called the hotel and asked for the manager named Jacob but was told he was not in and he would be in tomorrow from 9am-4pm. I then asked the young lady if I could leave him a message to which she replied she had no way of forwarding me to a voicemail box. I asked her if leaving a small note for her manager was to much to ask and she responded and said it would be better if I just come down tomorrow (I didn't know leaving messages for your boss was a thing of the past). This back and forth with this staff is draining and I would hate to have seen dozens of people outside the hotel door smoking but only me to have gotten a "warning" when I don't smoke and I'm barely even there as i work 8-10 hours out the day. I would never disrespect any establishment especially where other people have their children and have to sleep at night because I would want the same for myself! I feel very much targeted, stereotyped, and uncomfortable. This will not be on my list of places to stay again. read more

They had no creamer for the coffee, wouldn't let you have the milk from the fridges that's supposed to be free, give you breakfast in bags, the pool is closed, and the fire pit will not be turned on by them because we won't social distance if it's on. I wouldn't recommend going there in the next few months during covid. read more

This hotel as been the worst experience of my life. The price I was quoted was actually tripled once I checked in even when I showed them my confirmation print out. The customer service shown to me for their mistake was very poor. Not to mention I actually had a used hand towel with somebody's green toothpaste on it in our bathroom.
