We were greeted by the sweetest dog and were up to our room within a few minutes. Our room was super spacious and very, VERY clean. The staff here is very helpful and just want you to enjoy your stay. They're not cleaning rooms due to Covid.. BUT, rest assure anything you need is just a phone call away. We got new towels and an extra blanket within minutes. The pool is super clean and lots of room. We're going to head back for another weekend if we can this Summer if not.. We're staying a week next year in a cottage!

BUYER BEWARE-READ BEFORE BOOKING and learn from our experience:…read moreI'm not gonna sit here and write to not stay at this motel - the room itself was just as advertised, clean, roomy and comfortable, updated bathroom (shower wasn't cleaned well, but that's minor in comparison to the rest of our experience) BUT- do not expect to have any assistance after their lobby closes. They advertise an "after hours number" they DO NOT answer. We stayed here for one night and went out on the strip until around 10pm and when we returned we realized we forgot our key in the room. We went to the front desk which was locked and dark. To preface this I completely understand it's on us for forgetting a key. But, no answer on any of the 3 phone lines provided and one was specifically for "guests only, after hours" after a couple hours, MANY calls and voicemails later, we decided to call the non emergent police line which we were told they were unable to help without permission from the owner - they also tried calling the number they had with no answer either and we were advised to either sleep in our car or book another hotel. We called all 4 businesses they have shown on their building assuming they're owned by the same people, no one was able to help there either. We ended up able to unlock our vehicle from our phone and sleep in it (we had no actual keys as they were locked in the room too) we continued to call the after hours line throughout the night and into the morning but we ended up locked out of our room from 10:30pm to 8am when the front desk opened. The front desk manager (I'm blanking on her name) was lovely, super friendly and apologetic but explained someone else named "dalton" was responsible for the after hours phone and clearly completely neglected to answer. She refunded the cost of our room which was great and gave us a couple gift cards to local restaurants ($35 worth), but really it didn't take away the fact that we had the worst experience in a hotel ever, we would've much preferred to just be able to sleep in the room. Again, decent motel, absolutely awful customer service, if you stay please triple check you have your keys when leaving/you have everything you need before they close.

The cold water knob in the shower was frozen shut, and it couldn't turn, only leaving the hot water knob usable, making the shower unusable onless you like scalding water. I asked the front desk if someone could look at it, but nobody showed up. Also, don't try sitting in their cheap plastic patio chairs outside the room, unless you have good health insurance. During our stay, we discovered what appeared to be teeth wrapped in a blood-stained tissue left in our room by a previous guest. It was hidden near the window and had clearly been missed during housekeeping. We immediately notified hotel staff, who removed the item. The hotel later acknowledged in writing that the item had been left by the previous occupants and that it was overlooked because a new housekeeping employee in training had cleaned the room. While I appreciate that they accepted responsibility, they never answered our repeated question about what the material actually was. To this day, we still do not know whether it was human teeth, animal remains, or something else. Given its appearance and the presence of what looked like blood, we remain concerned about whether we were exposed to a biological hazard. Equally disappointing was the hotel's response. Their only compensation offer was a "buy one night, get one free" future stay. In other words, to receive compensation, we would have to spend more money at a hotel where we experienced a significant sanitation issue. After what happened, we have no interest in returning. We attempted to resolve the matter privately through multiple emails, asking for an explanation of what was found and requesting a more appropriate resolution. Unfortunately, after their initial response, the hotel stopped communicating with us. Mistakes can happen in any business. What matters is how they are handled. In this case, we were left without answers about a potential health concern and without what we believe was an appropriate effort to make things right. I hope the hotel has improved its inspection and housekeeping procedures so that no future guest has a similar experience.

Their team came the day of the wedding and set up the tent very quickly - like, under two hours for a 40x80 tent. It was impressive. Most other tent vendors we spoke with estimated set-up times two or three times longer than that. The tent itself looked amazing, especially when it was lit up at night (they supplied the lights). Seacoast also supplied our chairs and heaters, which was a huge plus. In the months and weeks leading up to the wedding, they were responsive and very flexible, which made it much less stressful to plan. We mostly worked with Whitney throughout the planning process and she was fantastic. Prices were also very reasonable. We loved working with Seacoast and would highly recommend!

Second, the King Bed only model allows for a nice adults only atmosphere, which is unusual for the beach but a good unusual. I was texted when the room was ready early, greated at check-in with a welcome glass of prosecco, and arrived at a nice clean room. I believe they upgraded recently from physical keys to electronic key cards which was a nice addition. The only negative here is the food for me. I get the theming, but Lulu's is just too out there. You can sit for a decent drink but the menu has never had something I would try. I think there could be a happy medium between tiki and comfort classics. You'll need to walk down to stones throw for a decent bite to eat.

We drove through a narrow entryway into an area that was maybe five cars wide. I parked to the right most area and was greeted by a hostile voice, saying are you here to register? I said yes. She said move your car. There were probably three or four widths of cars to my left so that anybody coming into the place could have gotten through perfectly easily. And by three or four car widths I mean 30 or 40 feet . I absolutely could not think of any reason for this hostile greeting. My companion opined, probably accurately, that the person yelling at me wanted to establish power in our relationship. That continued with our trying to check in at 2:30 P.M. We were told that check in time was 3:00. There were apparently many available rooms and almost no cars in the area. The the only people around where people that seem to hang around there all the time. We had to leave and come back 30 minutes later. As I have been a carpenter, I noted some obvious deficiencies in the property. The most blatant of these is that there is apparently no accessibility to anyone with any limited walking ability let alone anyone in a wheelchair. Everything is absolutely blockaded to a wheelchair. And then there is a restaurant that seems to be part of the property. That is a confusing nightmare between whether it is a pizza place or something better. A flyer for a pizza place was in our room. but the resto there had a broad menu. The was a meal there was nice but... The back stairs to the place must have been designed and built by Helen Keller. It is an axiom, an absolute rule, that steps must be of equal hights. If they are not people always trip on one or more of them that are not equally spaced. Every carpenter knows this and every designer knows this. Helen Keller or whoever built those stairs didn't give a damn. No building inspector could look at them and not laugh before writing a violation notice.

We thought it would be fun to go to the pub for apps and a drink before our dinner reservation at the main restaurant. Unfortunately, we were met with an hour long wait for 2 at the pub. I do find it interesting when an Inn doesn't open up reservations or spots for their own guests to dine, rather than locals. When we did go to our dinner reservation, we had a nice time. Our waiter was helpful. When the food came, they brought out a wrong dish. The boy that brought it out told us he wished we said something before he put it on the table because now the dish couldn't be used. We weren't able to tell it wasn't the right dish until it was in front of us.... we then waiting 15 minutes for the right food to come out. Our waiter had them remake my meal as well since it got cold, which was nice. The food was great once we finally had it. They also comped 50% of the wrong dish which was also nice. After dinner we had drinks and headed back to our room to go to bed. A phone call woke us up. It was the front desk; they told us that "Someone came into the lobby furious that our room is being so loud. They said that last night, this morning and this evening we have been ridiculously loud." I told the person on the other line that we have been asleep in bed, and we only checked in this evening. I find it curious that the front desk wouldn't look who was in the room and if we had even been there the day prior. Then, instead of offering an apology, they said "well do you hear any noise?" I said earlier the room next to us was making some noise but nothing like they are describing. They then said, "well which side, right or left?" I said I do not know I need to go back to bed. Pretty unbelievable, and something that hasn't even happened to me at a cheap hotel. I wish I walked away feeling better about our stay, but it is in a beautiful location...

Parking is an off street lot across the street, though the York Beach parking enforcement officer (replete with military combat boots and tactical military issue pants) was kind enough to give me a parking citation during the five minutes I unloaded our luggage. There was no meter or sineage where the car was parked. Upon entering the ocean view king suite we were impressed with the size and style of the unit. As we sat down on a weathered pull out couch we noticed a large coffee stain on the coffee table. We also noticed plentiful crumbs and chocolate chips on the couch (and even more crumbs as we opened the pull out section). Worse still it was clear that the pull out couch long surpassed its useful lifespan and had a large 3 inch sharp piece of metal sticking out. King bedroom was a bit cramped but nice bed and pillows. On the nonexistent WiFi alone I would have picked another property if I had known. The given WiFi router worked for 2-3 minutes the entire stay. One of the bedroom lamps did not work. A few of the electrical outlets did not function and others could not have passed any inspection. The washer (of the stackable washer/dryer) did not work. The unit was great size and comfortable for four of us. The location cannot be beat. But the several misses keep this property from a higher score. If they would address the above problems we would return. If not, we will pick another property for our next stay in York.
