In my life I've had 10 years of braces, 4 oral surgeries- awake for 4, and a bridge out in due to damage on my braces. I'm not great with this fear. Ok. So three months ago I had the worst jaw pain. Finally got scared and went in. Dr. Smiley sees my husband and daughter, so I asked for her. She was gentle and wonderful and now I'm a proud owner of a night guard that I actually .... Like? Yeah I do. Then, I went in for my first cleaning in 17 years. I was not shamed. More like, they were so positive and kind about how my teeth were in surprisingly good shape. They were caring and wonderful. Didn't let me leave without scheduling my next, in a very kind way. Cut to yesterday. I did have 3 cavities. I was TERRIFIED and these wonderful humans called me the afternoon before to offer anxiety meds. (I had some, but talk about understanding your patient and being caring). I was in the chair for 3 hours but she was gentle, walked me through every step, and today my mouth is a little sore, but not much. Dare I say I'm not scared for my cleaning in February? After multiple appeals, insurance still denied coverage based on medical necessity criteria, leaving us with a large balance. Over time, the messaging shifted from confidence that it would be approved to comments that our insurance was "the worst," and eventually we were told the PPO contractual adjustment counted as a "discount," which felt misleading to us. As an aside, a different dentist later completed another crown for me that was approved by the same insurance, which made the earlier comments about our insurance being terrible harder to understand. Separately, this office recommended approximately 10 fillings for me personally. I later obtained a second opinion from another dentist who agreed with 2 recommendations. That large difference made me uncomfortable and contributed to my decision to seek care elsewhere.

The dentist didn't even look at my teeth, just took a quick glance at the x ray and said I had a cavity and needed either a filling or a root canal. I was quoted over $3,500 for the root canal. I got a second opinion because it was odd to me that all the patients being seen at the same time as me were leaving with "root canals". I went elsewhere and they didn't find any cavities and addressed the pain I was feeling was actually my gums. Please save your money and go else where. I had a friend in dental billing review the initial root canal estimate and I was told they were upcharging tf outta me and adding extra codes that were not needed or accepted by most insurances & it ended up not even being a cavity. To think they were going to drilll a completely healthy tooth is beyond unbelievable. Advocate for yourself and get a second opinion when things don't feel or seem right. I will never return to this butcher shop.

The front desk staff got me 'squared away' (Army lingo) really quickly when I reached out and the communication via txt, email, and phone could not have been better. Both Jennifer and Camila really have their act together. My hygiene assistant Ryan really knew his stuff and did a great job. He had a very upbeat attitude and demeanor while putting up with my silly jokes but he's got a bright future ahead. Dr. Rahman was the icing on the cake to say the least. She was as pleasant and as knowledgeable as Ryan and was just as warm. My molars hurt, and the area under the filling is turning black--it looks like I have an infection, or as if they left debris underneath before sealing it. My teeth are turning black. I think I have an infection in all the molars they filled. After seeing so many bad reviews for this clinic, I'm going to file a formal complaint/lawsuit against them because I don't think they should be allowed to keep practicing if they don't know what they're doing.
