This is my team for all my dental needs. My first visit earlier this year was a small urgent need and they were happy to take care of me. Now, they've caught me up on my scheduled dental needs since my last dentist closed his practice and retired. This team jumped right in and got my needs addressed, scheduled and done. While every business has to manage the constraints of dealing with multiple customers with competing needs, it is good to know that whatever business you engage with does their best effort to problem-solve scheduling challenges. It's not a bad thing to have a scheduling book that has a wait time of several months -- heck, I'd say that is a reflection of a popular and sought after business. The real problem/challenge however, is when said business doesn't engage in problem solving when there is a hick-up or a customer is a bit tardy. While it isn't strictly required on the business' part, a courtesy reminder call or text (automated) on the day of the appointment to remind the customer would be fantastic. Failing that a check in call to see if the customer is still coming in to the appointment, before just deciding to rescheduling the appointment to some date/time months ahead. Again, this isn't taking away accountability from the tardy customer, there is some ownership there. It is however worth noting that any kind of scheduling arrangement should take into consideration unmitigated circumstances, and provide for problem solving options that don't include hefty fines, or auto-rescheduling to months later -- or in this circumstance, both. It just doesn't create for an incentive to return. read more

We came back to the DMV after being away for five years. My old dentist (who I loved) retired and Dr LaVecchia's practice was recommended by a friend. The hygienist was lovely but as soon as the dentist came in, the sales pitch for crowns began. $4000 for me and $10,000 for my husband as if we hadn't been regularly getting good dental care before them. The dental hygienist, Greg, was phenomenal and very courteous. The receptionists are very accommodating and friendly. The entire office was very clean and neat. My dentist, Dr. Priya Vasa, was amazing and very professional! She took her time explaining my results to me. I have been attending this Dental office for many, many years. The drive to the dentist's office is about 35 miles one way, and I don't have a problem commuting at all! The excellent service I get is very much worth all of it. Would not recommend this place. Had an expensive procedure done here a few years back and its always given me issues. I learned later through my current dentist that the crown was an improper fit and that they had placed it at an awkward angle. Which made sense because I had been having issues with chewing in that area as food would always get stuck. Found out that It was because the crown had impacted the smaller tooth infront of it which now needed to be restored as a result. Looking back at it now, the entire procedure along with the initial appointment felt rushed. It just felt like they were going for a temporary fix to get me out the door rather than a solution to the problem. I understand its a highly rated and busy dental practice but they really should have been more diligent especially since I was in alot of pain at the time. The dental assistants and hygienist were nice though. read more

The practice is capsheaf -the dentists, the hygienists, the assistants and the concierge team are special. They make you feel welcome and wanted. Their location is awesome. Their space is ultra clean. Their equipment is modern and their processes are current. They've been in Rosslyn for decades. Anyone not going there for their dental care are just daft. read more

This is a nice office. Pretty good location. However, to be the first point of contact being at the front desk, I witnessed and heard the office manager call another patient a bi***. She was extremely loud about the situation. A patient was asking for a payment plan and they were refusing to work with her. She said "she is such a bi***, and she's crazy". I finished with my appointment and made a mental note not to come back. This was so disappointing to experience. read more

I absolutely couldn't believe a dentist could have good reviews because let's be real....I hate going to the dentist, but I absolutely love this place! Believe the hype, this place is amazing. I came here to get a second opinion because I had one place tell me I needed 15 cavities filled, and another place tell me I had 14 cavities and 2 root canals. Dr. LaVecchia was so up front with me, and helped make sure that we stuck to plan that was beneficial for my teeth and my pockets! We found that I indeed had 14 cavities, no root canals, but all the fillings weren't urgent. He always makes sure I'm comfortable. His assistants are absolutely amazing and so nice. I've been here 3 times already, gotten 5 teeth filled, and plan on staying. The dentist office is spacious, clean, and filled with a welcoming staff. read more

I have been going to this Dental Office for many many years. My first experience there was with Dr. Greg's Father. What a human being. He was so kind and understanding and most of all gentle. Being in Federal L. E. I did have to travel alot. Sadly, that meant dental care in other areas. Finely Retired, (all in one piece -Thank You God). I am back with his son taking care of me - and that's a good thing. And, I have a "WONDERFUL DENTAL HYGIENIST" Donna. She is gentle and patient with an old guy deathly afraid of Dentists. I have been in car wrecks, fights, I had an arrestee try to bite my thumb off during the arrest (in the early 80s- and had to go for Blood tests for a year). I was never really afraid. The staff is courteous but I would not recommend this office. Dr. LaVecchia and his team recommended a preventative deep cleaning in an area of my mouth where I had no prior pain or issues. The deep cleaning was poorly conducted. After this deep cleaning, I now have constant pain and inflammation in that area of my mouth, and my gums still have not fully healed (two years later). Additionally, I sent three requests for a copy of my bill to submit for insurance reimbursement, but the staff did did not respond to my requests. I have long lasting damage to my gums as a result of this office. I strongly advise that you consider another dental practice. read more

This is a top notch dental office on all levels. First, the quality of care is really good, I've had a cavity filled here and had no issues during or after the procedure. They also haven't pushed unnecessary procedures, opting to watch if something turns into a cavity vs. drilling into my teeth. It is definitely appreciated. The dentists and dental hygienists are always really friendly, knowledgable and answer any questions I have. The reception staff is also very friendly and competent, promptly addressing questions, scheduling/rescheduling, etc. I have never had a billing issue, and they are able to tell me what my dental insurance covers and doesn't cover. And last, but definitely not least, they have been diligent with their COVID procedures. Patients have to wash their hands once they enter the office, and all staff are wearing gloves, masks, and face shields. read more

I am looking for a new dentist and after having read the Yelp reviews I decided to contact this practice. I send an email a week ago and got no answer after 5 days after which I called and left a message (during business hours); no reply to my second message either. Finally, a week later I tried to call again and was greeted by a surley front desk staff person. I never mentioned my first 2 attemps having gone unanswered, but instead simply said I was calling as a new patient and wanted to get some prices first. She sighed and said, "Okay, what is it that you need to know." I would have hoped for a better trained individual who instead might have said something to the effect of, "We're pleased that you decided to call us; I'd be happy to help you with whatever prices you need." She brusquely responed to me when I simply asked the cost of an initial exam and bite wing x-rays. I then ventured to ask for the cost for a night-guard and she answered in a rush voice conveying that I was now really pushing-my-luck. I then said I was not yet ready to book an appointment and she just hung up on me without even saying, "Thank you for calling." GET RID OF THIS EMPLOYEE (who just cost you a new patient). read more

I'd recommend avoiding this practice. My prescription toothpaste, that I've been using for 7 years, expired, and I asked the LaVecchia Dentistry to renew it. They refused to do so unless I came in for a cleaning (the last one was 7 months ago), but don't have any availability for weeks. It's a little odd they won't renew a long-standing prescription without a check-up, but OK fine. However, not finding a way to see a patient besides waiting weeks puts my health at risk. I just finished booking an appointment at another dentist and am finished with this practice. read more

It's been a few years since I'd been to the dentist, so i figured I was overdue for a cleaning and exam. One of my coworkers referred me to this office and forwarded me that they do book out so i was prepared to schedule something for a few weeks or months out, but luckily i was able to secure an appointment within a few days which was a wonderful surprise. The office is nicely designed and the staff were friendly from check in to check out. Dr Vasa was very kind and kept me calm during my exam after mentioning that I had some anxiety about being back in the dentist chair. My exam was quicker than i expected and to my surprise only hurt very minimally. I voiced my concerns about my oral health and was referred to see another specialist for a specific concern of mine, which i appreciate rather than me trying to navigate the complexities of location specific specialists. I've already raved to my other coworkers about this office and look forward to coming back for my next exam. read more

I made an appointment over the phone, and everything seemed to go well until the day of the appointment. Unfortunately it snowed the day of my appointment. "Oh well," I thought, "they will call me if they need to cancel due to weather." As a side note, I work in healthcare so I know proper office etiquette as these things go, and had in fact had received a phone call cancelling a different appointment I had for something else that day. I waited until an hour before the appointment, and didn't hear anything from them, so I called. The phone went straight to voicemail, so I left one asking to be called back if there was any change to my appointment. There was no away message saying the office was closed, only "they were busy and couldn't come to the phone. I did not receive a call back. So I ventured outside in the bad weather, knowing that if I didn't show up, I would likely be charged a no show fee. I get to the office - the lights are off, door is locked. I proceed to call again and leave another message, asking someone to call me back to reschedule, but I would've appreciated a call letting me know the office was closed. This was now a few weeks ago. I still have YET to receive a call, neither to reschedule NOR to apologize for their unprofessionalism. I will obviously be taking my business elsewhere, as if their staff doesn't care enough to make a short phone call, I can't imagine what else they'd miss. read more
