I have been meaning to write this for a long time. I saw Dr. Rogers in 2022 on the advice of my dentist to treat TMJ pain. I was about to leave to serve overseas and needed relief from the TMJ pain fast. Dr. Rogers sent me for an MRI to a specific place that was the only one that could get the images right. That should have been my red flag but I was looking for a relief so overlooked that. Dr. Rogers then interpreted the results for me and told me my disks in the jaw joints fell out and only an appliance that would not be covered by insurance could help me but that was not certain and I still might need surgery. I paid $1,500 out of pocket for an appliance and left for overseas. Within days I learned the appliance made my pain much worse so I had to go back to my normal night guard and pain killers. Then someone suggested acupuncture and I have been TMJ pain free since. I am sorry I wasted so much money for a poor advice. read more

I have had routine dental work with Dr. Rogers, in addition to cosmetic dental work. He is truly a leader in his field - knowledgeable and well read on the latest in dentistry. In addition to being satisfied with cleanings and other more routine work, I am so happy with the cosmetic work he completed. I really trusted him to design my new smile, and he did not disappoint! The shade and shape are all perfect. His team also was incredibly knowledgeable and seemed genuinely concerned about my satisfaction. All of the office staff are also very resourceful and put patient care at the forefront - at any time that I needed a rush appointment or had a concern, they worked to address in a timely manner. This is a great dentist practice. Dr. Rogers is really nice and provides excellent advice and thorough examinations. Most of the dental hygienists are awesome too. The admin folks at the front desk are really friendly and easy to work with. So why only 4 instead of 5 stars? I think the practice is a little pricey. If you don't have great insurance, you're going to pay more than you would elsewhere. I don't mind doing this because you only get one set of teeth :) read more

I'm so sad that I've lived in Fairlington since 2000 and JUST found this dental practice! I saw Dr. Rogers for the first time yesterday and he and the whole staff are fantastic. I called them on a recommendation from a neighbor as a first time patient with a bad toothache and they took me immediately. The office is super comfortable - tvs, blankets - and Dr. Rogers did everything to ensure there was no pain during my procedure, and explained everything he was doing along the way. I don't have a dental phobia but for those who do, they also offer sedation. I highly recommend Dr. Rogers! read more

I am a true dentaphobe and have been to countless dentists over the years, never with any satisfactory results. Dr. Rogers and his staff won me over. I can't say enough about their professionalism, courtesy and demeanor. The office is clean, modern and comfortable. I live in VA Square and it takes me about 5-7 minutes to get there. As a bonus they do 7:30 appointments so I can go without having to take time off from work. I have been going to Dr. Rogers since August 2010 and never had a bad experience. read more

I saw Dr. Rogers for treatment of my extremely loud snoring. I've been trying to find a way to end this problem for the past 5 years or so, and have seen a sleep specialist, tried CPAP (couldn't stand it), and two snoring-specialist dentists, who each made me a very expensive mouthguard that didn't work. I called Dr. Rogers and spoke to his office assistant before I made the first appointment, and she explained that Dr. Rogers would work with me until we found a solution. And that's exactly what happened. Dr. Rogers listened carefully to my history and account of what went wrong or what I found intolerable about the other remedies I tried. First he tried one type of appliance, but I couldn't sleep with it. Dr. Rogers patiently went back to the drawing board, and then came up with a customized device that has actually ended my snoring and allowed me to sleep comfortably. It was a brilliant solution. As a result, I am writing the most positive review I have ever written for a medical professional. I would recommend him to anyone with any type of dental problem, not just snoring, because he listens so carefully and is so committed to finding a solution to problems within his area of expertise. Also, his office staff members were always helpful and nice, and I never had to wait for an appointment. read more

I have to say, Dr. Rogers and his co-workers are absolutely amazing. I recommend this dentist to anyone I speak to. I am a very nervous patient, and I admit it, I hate dentists. I hate the feel of metal... oh ew. But they make it a pleasant experience. They're friendly, chatty, they know you by name, they make sure you are never in any pain, and they provide top-quality medical care to boot. The smell of fresh cookies always greets you, they give you things to read and any channel you want to watch on little HD TV's to help distract you. They make a damn good cup of coffee. From the front-desk staff to the hygenists and the dentists themselves, they're all amazing. And they're equally as good for children - how many little 7 and 9 year old girls love going to the dentist? Certainly mine do! They love that office. read more

A friend of mine referred me to Dr. Rogers' office and I'm really glad I went there. Dawn was very pleasant on the phone and when you arrive, they greet you with a genuine smile and introduce themselves. Nothing about this place is routine. Megan is an excellent hygienist and very easy to talk to. The office is great with TVs on the wall of each room, connected to DirectTV, and they cook cookies for the guests. Lots of free goodies in a bag at the end, too. Can't say enough about this place, but they make going to the dentist much more enjoyable. read more

I was taken back on time; the crown was reattached; and Dr. Rogers gave me full information on the quality of the 20+ year old crown and the changes in the agents used then and now to bond the crowns to the tooth below. Dr. Brown, who started the practice, has instilled the importance of quality care, top notch technical skills, and advances in medicine paired with the common sense of friendly and reliable customer service. Dr. Rogers has been our family's dentist for 5+ years. We discovered him through a friend's referral. Our family has always had a wonderful experience with Dr. Rogers and his Staff. The atmosphere, professionalism and quality of work (from basic preventive care such as cleaning to more invasive procedures like root canals, bridge work, etc) are done with the same level of care, concern and precision. After major work, Dr. Rogers has called us the next day to check to see how the patient is doing and whether they are experiencing any issues related to the procedure. How many dentists do that? Everyone is trained to the highest levels and all of their equipment is state of the art. They care about each patient and it shows. The staff is very friendly and the office offers perks to make each visit very accommodating. For instance you can get your hands moisturized in a paraffin wax treatment, some of the dental chairs have a massage feature, I needed to elevate my foot from an accident and they brought me in a pillow to help me find my comfort zone along with a blanket. They offer refreshments in the office too. These are just a few of the many perks they offer to set their office above all the rest. When I was in for just a simple procedure, I received a follow up call that night from Dr. Rogers, just checking on me. This is the type of service that makes you feel truly cared about and makes this office team not just my dental office, but my friends. After two years with Dr. Rogers, I left his practice this week--and I'm glad I did. Dr. Rogers, and his staff are friendly and his office is modern--but he and Dr. Holly either genuinely believe that people need more dental work than they actually do, or they are major salesmen. What pushed me over the edge was going to see Rogers's partner, Dr. Dennis Holly, after a filling fell out. He couldn't find any missing filling, but instead tried to sell me a crown on another tooth (continuing the sales pitch that Dr. Rogers had started on previous visits). I then went home and found where the filling had come out by looking in my own mirror. When I returned, Dr. Holly said that, instead of replacing the filling, he would do a $1300 onlay that would involve shaving off a third of the tooth. And he said that I should also spend 1520 to crown the other tooth. Instead, I headed to another dentist (recommended by my ortho) who did a much more thorough exam than either Rogers or Holly ever did, and calmly explained why there was no need for either procedure. Instead, my new dentist replaced the filling for a few hundred dollars. Stay far away from Rogers/Holly-save your money and your teeth. read more
