Lynn, the practice manager, and Jina, his dental assistant, are also wonderful. We had never heard of a prosthodontist until Dr. Lourdes Christopher, my husband's periodontist, recommended Dr. Huang after my husband lost a couple of teeth and had to have more pulled. Thank goodness she referred us to him! Dr. Huang is very calm and reassuring. My husband has dementia, but felt instantly comfortable with Dr. Huang. I stayed in the room during each appointment and saw what a perfectionist Dr. Huang is about making the upper partial fit comfortably and yet be easy to insert and remove. It almost made me wish I needed Dr. Huang's care. (I probably will, eventually!) The chip on my tooth was fixed quickly, and I was so happy with the results that I scheduled a cleaning as well. The cleaning was by far the gentlest I've ever had. Dr. Hemati was incredibly thorough and did an excellent job, yet I could barely feel a thing. There was no pain during the cleaning and no soreness afterward, something I've never experienced at other dental offices. 12/4/24 update. I had an infected tooth that had to be extracted. My previous dentist had missed…read moreit even after multiple visits and complaints of pain. After seeing Dr Hemati, she diagnosed it just from my descritpion then confirmed it by doing an x-ray and a CT scan. She just pulled it today and did a bone graft with great care and patience, taking 3 hours for the process to make sure everything went well and was painless for me. I will be back in a few months for an implant and then a new tooth. My wife and I have seen Dr Hemati. She explained everything, was very caring, and did a great job. The office staff are all nice and professional as well. Would definitely go back.

Dr. Dougherty was an excellent dentist. He made everything he was doing very clear and did not push for more than was needed. He is very meticulous, like someone who has read the instruction manual for every piece of equipment and material he uses and actually follows it to the T. I noticed this because he takes his time at every stage, never rushing, unlike previous dentists I have gone to that appear to do things quickly so they can move on to the next patient. Initially I thought nothing of it and planned to say no to any window dressing offered. The "treatment plan" that I received was filled with costs for random fillings even though I was here for an emergency root canal. I stressed that the root canal was all I was going to commit to, and I had to defend this decision across multiple appointments. The front desk even called the dentist back in to try pressure me into getting more work done. Conveniently, they suddenly deemed a few of the fillings "non-priority" even though they were ready to bill me for them. I still said no and my wishes were only respected after I fought for it. As far as the care I received, my experience with dentist was sarcastic and uncommunicative. I didn't know what was happening or what to expect during the procedure. I had to specifically request my medicated toothpaste that I was prescribed because they didn't hand it to me after my second or third appointment. Incidentally this happened after I denied the extra work in my treatment plan. When I went to another dentist and got a second opinion, he was confused at the need for extra fillings and mentioned that my teeth were in great condition. Overall I did not feel considered, respected, or cared for in this process, and I do not recommend for anyone else to go to this practice.
