I've seen multiple providers at Springfield Family Physicians and have always had excellent experiences. Unfortunately, my experience with Dr. Jason Keister was the complete opposite. During my appointment on August 16, 2024, he told me that I had a "small heart attack," but that it was "very small" and not to worry. He then sent a cardiology referral based on that statement. Later, when I reviewed my medical chart, I found three question marks (???) next to my diagnosis with no explanation. When I requested a correction to my record and asked him to clarify what he meant, he suddenly changed the story. He denied ever mentioning a heart attack and replaced the question marks with "TIA," which has nothing to do with cardiology or the reason for the referral. This did not reflect what was actually communicated to me and only created more confusion. I've had nothing but great experiences with other doctors in this clinic, so this was shocking and disappointing. In my personal experience, Dr. Keister was careless, contradictory, and dismissive, and I would not recommend him to anyone who needs clear communication or accurate documentation. Since my previous review, we are still trying to figure out the best thing to deal with the long term problem that I have-sadly, my doctor had to leave out of state, but the new doctor and I will be trying to figure out a long term solution. The solution did knock out the problem...but hot flashes are a no-go! So back to the drawing board. I have no bad feelings toward them at all. We have ruled out the bladder, female insides (ultrasound), other hormone issues (either normal or negative), so it's not something that can be easily fixed. I suspect that there's some sort of internal miscommunication between brain and body that can't easily be fixed, based on how my symptoms act when my symptoms were acting. I have been going to their clinic on Marcola Rd for a few years now and love them - all the staff and the providers have been great...

My prior physician did not diagnose my large hernia & subsequent scar tissue strangling my colon; I did. Nor did she diagnose my cervical injury or my blood clot. She moved into another field, & months later, I found Springfield Family Practice; the only clinic with a female physician, taking new patients. I am female physicians, nurses, techs, etc., only; after being sexually assaulted by a local male hernia surgeon = major PTSD. With this new female physician, my decades long battle with chronic, severe pain was once again not being managed. She only wanted to push pills to mask symptoms instead of getting to the cause of said symptoms. I had to constantly ask for tests because I knew I needed cervical surgery again. Then for 18 months, I complained of throat issues after a physical therapist caused a serious throat injury. With the help of my chiropractor pointing me in the right direction, I went online and figured out that I had a serious case of Eagle Syndrome. It's rare, but the physicians involved in my care should have been able to type in my symptoms & come up with the same diagnosis much sooner. Even the ENT failed to diagnose my neck/throat health issue. Thank God for the internet. After years of leg issues being ignored, I had to demand to have my legs cut off or be checked for blood clot. I had a blood clot all this time! I was given a new medication that made me lose over 50% of my hair and felt like I was constantly being kicked in the kidney; severe back pain. I could hardly walk, bend, or roll over due to the severity of pain. I was not told about these side effects. I reported the side effects to the FDA. I had ES surgery set up, but it had to be postponed due to the blood clot. This new PCP said I could still go on my trip; I should have never gone. By the time I got to my destination, my legs were over twice their size, I could not catch my breath, nor walk but barely 10' at a time. I could have died. By this time, my ES surgeon left her practice & moved elsewhere. My PCP was not instrumental in finding her new practice. A year later, I found the ES surgeon in another state & requested a new referral be sent to her; my SFP PCP never got this done. Also, my prescriptions were constantly sent to the pharmacy without quanity, diagnosis code, or strength noted. Urgent prescriptions for infections were repeatedly delayed by staff, & I had to keep calling the office to see why there were delays. In the meantime, I had to take my pets' antibiotics, same as humans, just lower dosage. I told SFP PCP that at this rate, I would have to get my antibiotics off the street & take my chances. She sat their slamming her push ink pen against her cheek; then fired me as a patient. This PCP had just updated my ESA letter, but has consistently refused to verify its validity with Petscreening, so after 40 years I had to get rid of my two ESA's for PTSD & anxiety. Another PCP at SFP was my mother's PCP at another location, who told my mother to skip two days a week for her anticoagulant med. I believe 100% that this contributed to her demise. That physician denied telling her to skip two consecutive days of med, but we have it in her own handwriting! Beware of this clinic, or any of its affiliated clinics. read more

Hideous care. My provider was adequate at times and I saw a DO who was amazing, but she was hard to get into. I've never seen such shoddy primary care. The providers I saw were not the problem as much as most of the staff in the building. They perpetuate stigmas, are clueless about healthcare disparity and if you have complex ptsd or any medical trauma, this place will push you right over the edge. Imagine mediocre professionals surrounded by a moat of trashy alligators who want to eat you up before you even get to the doctors and mid-level providers. The worst part of this office is the phone staff you call when you have a problem and need to get in to the provider. They are rude, sarcastic, uncaring, untrained and obviously have very little medical background. MAs have NO BUSINESS triaging patients and in this office they don't know how to discern what to tell the providers about patient complaints. Once I called at 8 am with chest pain I had recently been hospitalized for and got a call back at 6 pm with a prescription for anxiety because the MA decided anxiety was the cause of my chest pain. I had the note given to the dr and chest pain was not what the dr was told. Also, I am already on an anxiety medication, so... inappropriate medication and even more inappropriate and dangerous response. One day in the reception area of the Centennial clinic, I overheard the receptionist loudly talking and stated she wanted to "kick her ass". It was unclear who she was talking about, but as a patient in this clinic it wouldn't surprise me the staff feel this way. Seriously, I can imagine these two clinics having a Christmas party watching footage of their patients dying while laughing and eating popcorn. This is not a place you will get compassionate care; or even adequate care for that matter. Go ask someone under a bridge to help you. Guaranteed kinder and gentler care! If you are a patient here: run! Unless you are wanting to end it all: they will be happy to help you! Also, your lab requisitions have protected health information that someone could steal your identity with, but don't worry! Someone would have to truck their happy ass to harbor freight and buy a $20 tool to cut the chains and cables attached to the metal box ON THE SIDEWALK outside. This place is awful. The receptionist is so rude, there's only a few nice nurses and the doctors don't actually care about you. I've gone in for a broken foot and kept getting told it was fine and to go home and take Tylenol, it took them 3 times to actually listen to me. When I'm in pain all the doctors prescribed is nausea medicine and they OVER prescribe those, instead of trying to find out what's actually going on. If you have a chronic condition you will be left to do all of your own research. Ask for the right Rxs and specialists by name after doing all of your own research, then wait for awful hold times, and expect for them to lose Rx refill requests and referrals regularly. The staff is very hit or miss, some of them are great, others are just obviously overwhelmed, and under appreciated, and some are downright cold. but they have an extremely overwhelming number of patients. read more

This is my 68 year old moms doctors office. I called because she was so sick at home with COVID she literally couldn't keep anything down. I wanted to see if she could get a prescription for an anti nausea pill. They called her and told her they were going to prescribe her medicine and then didn't call it in! Not only that when she called the next day they said that they didn't have any record of me calling or them calling her and that they wouldn't prescribe her anything without seeing her. So she made an appointment and even after that they didn't send in the prescription!!! This is crazy! They obviously do not care about their patients well being. Be warned! This place is AWFUL. We had a regular family Dr here. We LOVE him. He's the only Dr in this clinic I will allow near my family. Well, he's now semi retired. Which means they put two of the 4 of us with someone else and did not tell us. I tried getting a hold of someone to fix this for FOUR WEEKS. But the 4 times I removed calls to some woman named Celeste, the staff would tell me no one named Celeste worked there.i finally get a hold of the triage nurse who seems to recognize the name Celeste vaguely. She proceeds to tell me that my husband who is severely diabetic and also has other health issues was reassigned to a brand new out of school NP. Someone they just hired. Who has zero reviews, has had zero patients. And then, THEN, I find out, they moved my 14 year old over to her as well. I call. I complain. The person I spoke with was RUDE. Berated me like it's my fault they randomly took two family members and stuck them with this random woman and never communicated with us. They treated me as if I was lying that I had them moved over. Not to mention the staff at the front desk 99% are new and have zero clue what they are doing. They are AWFUL. Do yourself a favor and don't bother with this place. It's a joke. I've been seeing Dr. Mark Meyers for a few years and I really like him. He always takes the time to listen and answer or ask questions. He doesn't hesitate to do referrals if necessary. He's very kind, patient, and understanding. The reception desk seems a little disorganized and the employees are about average. The nurses/assistants have been great for the most part. Sometimes it does appear that they talk about patients. However, the giant round desk where all the assistants and nurses sit may help to create the impression of unprofessionalism. I've been with these people for almost two years. Springfield Family Physicians Group is great! Dr. Coulter is the best! Very professional staff, and the doctors actually listen. I had a minor heart condition since birth, and for my entire life no one listened to me when I would describe it. Dr. Coulter listened and now the problem is going to be cured by a local heart surgeon who Dr. Coulter referred me to. Also, I am very skeptical of western medicine's over-emphasis on prescriptions, and America's pharmaceutical$. These doctors and staff understand that, and respect my emphasis on alternative medicines, preventative "medicine", and my staying away from (often overpriced) prescriptions whenever facing illness, injury, infection, or whatever. I was a patient in 2017. Apathy is an understatement. I was deceived into believing I was being treated by an MD. Found out last month that he was a P.A. I have a complicated medical history. I was sick all year and had to be admitted to Peace Health for 5 days in December. The staff at the hospital strongly recommended that I find a new doctor which I have done at Oregon Medical Group. The difference in the quality of care is like day and night. If you have a choice, go somewhere else or at least insist that you're treated by a real doctor! read more

I had read before going to this office that Dr Gee-Gott is an uncaring individual (I'm phrasing it considerably more generously than others did), and that's pretty much what I got: she's just another doctor who *quickly* dismisses symptoms by prescribing whatever might seem to be a quick fix. If only problems could be solved so easily... not to mention that the side effects of some of those lab chemicals are - not surprisingly - even worse than the original condition(s). That, and the staffing involves a great many smirky/snooty chicks who don't seem to think that the place requires much more professionalism than a high school hallway. You obviously should not have to go somewhere for such personal matters, only to have the continual distinct feeling that the employees are snickering at you. But I'll still give the place a second star, if only because I was able to get prescriptions for pills that I already knew worked from previous experience. In other words, if you do your homework (because Dr Gee-Gott certainly won't), you can maximize an office visit by having already done most of the heavy lifting for her. It's a horrifying state of affairs when Google serves as a frequently-necessary preliminary step to seeing an irresponsible physician, but that's the 21st century for you... read more

I went in for a regular checkup and had been assigned a new doctor, Dr. Gilbertson, who seemed overall unhelpful and condescending. Usually a proper diagnosis involves asking clients about their family history, or at least getting to know them on some human level. She did none of this and shoveled me out the door in 10 minutes. Jennifer Durrant is a wonderful NP, very thorough, personable, and kind. She asks great follow-up questions and is sincerely interested in maximizing your health, not just giving you pills. She remembers things about you, like your family, your pet, your travels...and always asks about them. I've been seeing her for two years and am very happy with my care. read more

75% of the nurses are nice and pleasant. But allot of the doctors are new, young and have the attitude of being doctor for the prestige aspects not really to help and treat patients. (The younger doctors) Also when I say doctor I mean PA-C which technically is not a real doctor. I mean there certified to diagnose and treat illnesses. But it's not grade A health care that I feel you can get from a older more experienced MD doctor. Not to say the PA-C don't help. But it's just not what I want in a doctor. They do have MD docs but good luck getting a appointment with them. Now with saying that. I think they care and want to help without it being to much of a inconvenience on them. And depending on which doctor you get. But the younger male doctors are kind of arrogant and not humble borderline assholes. It's kind of like take what you get and if you don't like it. They don't care. I think in there defense they are ohp clinic and deal with allot dysfunctional people so by the end of the day there just over people. Which sucks because when I seek healthcare I want to feel good about my interactions with my provider. And just because there unhappy about there job and the people they see I don't want to feel that in my appointment. By the end of the day the health care system is a joke. They don't address patients on a personal level in what the patients need and what's the best treatment for the patient. It's one fix for all people. At this providers office. But I guess it's because there over worked and there not your family member and if you have ohp you get what you get and your lucky for that. We have been with Springfield family physicians for just over a year. We switched because they have evening and weekend appointments available. We love Jordan Moon, our PA! He is easy going and straightforward. My teen daughters can relate to him and they don't feel awkward when answering questions. I feel like they care about us as people, not $$. My fave part about the clinic though, is that we get educated. It isn't just a quick appointment. They make sure you understand what is going on, they ALWAYS follow us with us. Hard to find genuine, caring doctors, nurses and team out there, but this is def one of them! read more

Lol, where do I start? The nurses are pretty OK. It goes down hill from there. Rude receptionists, completely useless doctors, I'm talking doctors who spend 2-3 minutes with you an prescribe a medication that you just told them gives you terrible side effects, and don't even get me started on Gilbertson who is perfectly fine with writing a bottle of 90 klonopin with 2 refills but refuses to provide any kind of treatment plan for what she viewed as a problematic drug... by the way, I have autism with PTSD and I can't take basically any psych meds because I also have movement disorders which are managed by the benzos. I'm not into being on benzodiazepines... I'm leaving this review because it's an honest one. If that woman believed i was an addict, the last thing to do is write me 270 pills and say I'm on my own after that. That's straight up negligent. She also failed to diagnose my son's ASD and she FORGOT that my daughter had a seizure disorder that was being treated by said doctor. I mean, you can't make this up. That lady makes "dumb blonde" look like a proper noun... for those of you who didn't catch how I phrased that, she's such a dumb woman that the fact of her blonde hair is ironic to say the least. The damn woman literally can't figure out her hair long enough to listen to a patient. About 2.5 hours ago this evening, however, I called to make sure the tightness in my chest and pain radiating out my arm and up my neck into my jaw along with difficulty breathing, dizziness and painful indigestion isn't actually a heart attack that I should call 911 over and they said they'd call me back. Been 2 1/2 hours, I guess I'll go to sleep and get a ride to the ER in the morning if I'm alive and still feeling literally every heart attack symptom, since, like I said, I have Autism, so if they're not calling back then my brain can just deduct that I'm just having a panic attack, right? Please beware of Dr. Paulson! I consulted him on several occasions between last summer (2018) and April, 2019 about back and bowel pain. Dr. Paulson refused more than once to order an MRI of my spine. Nor would he order an opiate. I changed to a doctor in a different practice who immediately ordered the MRI, prescribed an opiate so that I could sleep, and referred me to a orthopedic specialist. I have just returned from a consultation with the specialist who had evaluated the MRI. She informed me that I need surgery on my spine, without which I would be permanently in a "heck of a lot of pain" due to a "huge, bulging disk". Dr. Paulson's refusal to provide the needed MRI and the only medicine strong enough to help prolonged my misery for needless months. read more

The nurses are great ( it's what kept me coming back)the front office is overworked and usually very grumpy. I'm not going to lie I had an opinion about my medical needs which were quickly disregarded. I found out what happens when you disagree with the doctor.........you get a letter dismissing you from the office. That's right they will dismiss you!! I was the victim of shoddy medical care, many misdiagnoses. The staff is uncaring, no empathy but lots of apathy. You are lucky if you see the doctor for five minutes, classic rush job "hi, bye" most likely due to maximizing the number of patients they can see to collect insurance money. Lots of pill-pushing; my pharmacist told me not to take a pill prescribed as it could give me a heart-attack. I honestly can't think of one good thing to say about this place as it is without a doubt the worst medical clinic/doctor (Dr. John White) I have experienced in forty years. I have gone elsewhere so I can trust my doctor, not avoid going when health care needs arise due to fear of experiencing additional poor medical care and mistakes. read more

I was attempting to setup a physical exam appointment as my life insurance company needed this, and blood work, to determine if I qualified for a higher level of insurance. I am a new patient so I was told that I needed to have a 'New Patient' visit first, then I could get a physical exam during the next visit. Told them all that I needed was a physical exam, I had no symptoms or problems, just needed the exam as this was going to be paid for by my insurance as a preventative procedure. I was told no, they do not do that. Stopped by their office to pick up the 'New Patient' paperwork and I asked what the cost would be for the 'New Patient' visit. Was told it would be $215, but if I had insurance then it may be covered. I asked what the cost would be if they billed insurance, would it be the same amount. I was told, "I guess so." Asked if there was anyone there that could tell me specifically. Also, what would be the cost of a physical exam. The receptionist told me that the office manager could talk to me about that. She then asked if I was a current patient. When I said no, she said that the office manager would probably not talk to me then. I was astounded. As a consumer I wanted to know what the costs would be for these visits so I could budget for them if necessary. Why is it so difficult to get a straight answer about the cost of doctor visits? After coming here to Yelp and seeing the other comments it doesn't surprise me to see that this clinic is not very customer friendly. Medical clinics really need to change their focus to customer service as we are consumers. We can chose to go elsewhere, which is exactly what I will be doing. read more

Two girls at the front desk were having an argument loud and clear right in front of the patients in the waiting room. I will never take my kids back here. Horrible! My experiences with Dr. Findley was not worth my time. I went in with sores in mouth and neck pain. Dr. Findley listened to my heart and lungs before sitting back at his desk and telling me he found nothing wrong but to follow up with my dentist if I continued to have problems. He never looked in my mouth until I said, "Would you like to look in my mouth since that IS why I'm here?" Only then did he get up from his chair and look quickly into my mouth only to say nothing was wrong. I followed up with my dentist and had a fever. The infection (large sores in cheeks, gums and under tongue were so bad my dentist was stunned that Dr. Findley said he didn't see any problem. The infection had progressed into the bone and I had to have teeth extracted because of it. Dentist said if Dr. Findley had just started me on an antibiotic I probably wouldn't have lost any teeth. Dr. Findley needs to retire now.....not in 2 years! I had the very unfortunate experience of having to see Jennifer Durrant, NP. She was the NP available at the time. Jennifer Durrant, NP was incredibly rude and obnoxious, acting like a spoiled, bratty child who didn't get her way. She would not listen to me and constantly interrupted me with her voice getting louder and louder. She walked out of the room still talking and never looked back. My husband and I just stood in the exam room not believing what had just happened. Jennifer Durrant, NP is by far the rudest Healthcare provider I've ever met. She has no business working with patients. Springfield Family Physicians needs to rid themselves of this awful nurse practitioner. read more

What kind of inhumane place is this to remove shelter for a few defenseless cats during the coldest weather of the year? This is animal abuse and the first the caretaker has heard about any problems. The cats, shelters and feeding are hidden in bushes. When it was pointed out that the cats would freeze without their shelters, the clinic manager did not care. Makes you wonder how good (or bad) the care would be since this shows a serious lack of compassion. read more

I brought a friend to see Dr. Meyers last week and again today for a very sore injured foot. He was very pleasant to work with, reviewed x-rays, gave sound advice and helped my friend to feel that she was being well cared for. We saw Dr. Findley the day before, and I cannot say we had a good experience at all with him. But, luckily, Dr. Meyers was available today and restored our faith in SFPG. We will see him in two weeks and feel confident that he will be an understanding health provider. It's nice to have a good physician! read more
