I felt extremely at ease and could understand everything we talked about. I have a positive outlook for my health and happy I found someone who can support my goals. Tho she knew she couldnt make me take coumadin she did her darndest in a tolerable way to make sure I at a minimum took that even tho she would of preferred the coumadin..I really dont wanna share my doctor but it would be self centered of me if I didnt...Thank u Dr. Gilliland u really are great! Dr. Etges is a quirky, well-intentioned & knowledgeable doctor. To be frank, although I love unique…read more& quirky people, I am not used to interacting with doctors who are quirky, and I was a bit nervous in the beginning. He tells a lot of long-winded stories & anecdotes. One must concentrate, be assertive to interrupt for questions, & be willing to follow him along the journey. LOL However, he is the only individual in Eugene to treat my frozen shoulder from an "outside-the-box" way of thinking, & quite bluntly, I believe the man to be a bit of a genius. I had struggled with frozen shoulder since March 2020. I didn't meet Dr. Etges until November later that year, so I struggled in EXTREME pain for 9 months! A visit to Slocum was defeating--detached attitude from dr., "told that it will eventually go away in 2 years, "and given a steroid shot which didn't help at all. Dr. Etges gave me 2 prolotherapy cocktail shots a month apart (a special mix which he can explain), and made suggestions to my PT for specific stretches. One month later, I had regained 90% of my shoulder movement and now Feb, 2021, I am at full recovery. A friend who is doing PT alone for frozen shoulder is still in a great amount of pain. I am convinced that Dr. Etges' prolotherapy cocktails sped up my recovery in a remarkable way. It is still very important to do PT, but if you suffer from frozen shoulder, it is worth exploring his specific kind of prolotherapy mix.

Worst experience ever! Turned away on the morning of my procedure because I 'had to' use a…read moredifferent taxi service to take me home afterwards. Their recommended transport services were not available, so the office staff would not allow me to be seen, even though my taxi driver had first aid training. The office manager kept saying that I should have called to schedule one of their cabs earlier? 2 weeks isn't enough? If I can get myself there, I can get myself home, regardless of what taxi I take. Why are they releasing patients at all, if the patient is still incapacitated from sedation? I was without food or sleep for 3 days prior to this procedure, and was not in any condition for this manager to be chastising me on what cab I used! She ended up frustrated, and kept saying 'Do you want to reschedule?' Obviously she has never experienced a colonoscopy, and No, I did not want to reschedule. I had been in there twice before, once for a C/O and once for a gastric surgery to prevent a cancer from growing. That surgery went bad and I ended up in the hospital for 6 days. So Yes, I'd been there before. No, I've had enough of OEC, and frankly, I'd rather get cancer than go there again!
