Dr. Gilchrist has a profoundly sane approach to patient care including empathy, humor and access. I am able to reach my doctor any time, and receive a response almost immediately. He is available via text always and is also quite easy to schedule with. I have never (never!) had to wait to see him. Beyond being very knowledgeable, easy to talk with and amazingly kind, Dr. Gilchrist also provides a level of care that is incredible. He has dropped off prescriptions for me, been proactive with insurance issues and worked diligently to find me other providers, such as physical therapy, who are equally good. Concierge care may require new thinking at first. Paying a subscription rate on top of insurance can seem prohibitive, but when given the level of care and contact, it's actually quite a bargain. Dr. Gilchrist has seen me several times a month, as well as offered referrals, text consults and encouragement, all within my monthly cost. No copay, no additional fees, and of course all services that he refers too work with insurance as usual. It's an easy win- and genuinely adds to my health and well being to be part of his concierge practice. I would encourage anyone to get in and see Dr. Gilchrist! He's the absolute best!

Dr. Brendler came up with a different diagnosis than the prior four "specialists" and gave me samples of a different kind of medicine. Eureka! The new remedy is not working perfectly (in a 74 year old body only so much can be expected!), but I feel MUCH better than I have since I was a kid! Finally, a correct diagnosis! Dr. Brendler has common sense about tests, listens well, and came up with a completely different and correct diagnosis. Don't give up without consulting her.

They use a 3rd party company that is really slow at processing new referrals. 2- We show up early for an MRI and they tell me "I canceled it" and after threatening to file a complaint they tell me their MRI machine #3 was down and they rescheduled it without speaking to me but left me a voicemail I never received... 3- OMG's podiatrist made a referral to a bone tumor surgeon that never went through and 22 days later I had to ask the bone surgeon to please reach out to OMG and ask for a referral (not normal)

My actual cardiologist had told me I would be kept for observation. When I argued with it, it told me it was her wing and it was not going to be argued with. I stayed the night but was rushed out next day even after staff had damaged my prosthetic in the process. Yeah, I'm also an amputee. I would recommend it be stripped of title and prosecuted. It is an absolute monster and it never should have been given license to practice. Still in process of taking legal action. The ER staff were amazing. The next morning Dr Whitsel walked in the room and her first words were "She has dementia!" I questioned how she could diagnose it so quickly and she responded that mom was given a story to read and then asked questions about it and that she had failed the test. I continued asking questions and she said that she had 8 new patients and she would have to look over her notes. I think she should have gone over the notes before she entered the room. She has HORRIBLE bedside manner and does not like to be questioned. I would suggest you request a different doctor if she is looking at your patient.

I have found him to be one of the most supportive and caring doctors I have ever known, and I have been around 64 years. Our son had an infection that I considered not to be important. He experienced pain in his side. We took him in to see Dr. Copperman. Before he came in to the examination room, Dr. Copperman's head nurse saw our son and noted the emergency nature of our son's condition. Dr. Copperman came in quickly, examined our son and told us to go to the ER as soon as possible. He asked us which ER we wanted to go to and within minutes had all of our son's medical information as well as Dr. Copperman's diagnosis at the hospital, Just 15 minutes later, we arrived at the hospital (McKenzie Willamette) and were ushered in to a room, where my son was examined quickly by a doctor. They agreed with Dr. Copperman's diagnosis. Later that day, Dr. Copperman called us to ask how our son was doing, and he kept in touch with us throughout our son's treatment, ensuring that our son was receiving the best possible care In my opinion, this is the best kind of coordinated care and is something Dr. Copperman excels at. As another example, I get my medications through the VA. The medications are prescribed by Dr. Copperman. Because of him and his office staff and Dr. Stubbs at the VA clinic here in town, we have never had a glitch with the VA providing the medications we need in a timely manner. Our family has been seeing Dr. Copperman for nearly 30 years (we first went at the recommendation of one of his patients). Not only is he a caring doctor, he communicates well with us about what we need to do to improve a condition and what his treatments mean. He also answers any questions patiently, including some extensive questions at times that my wonderful wife asks. We have NEVER felt rushed in his or his nurses' care. Of course Dr. Copperman is a busy man as are his nurses, but in the daily scheme of things, he has never let us down. His other patients with whom I have spoken have unreservedly endorsed him and his staff. To a person, they have felt he provides the best care for them. This simply flies in the face of some of the other reviews on this site, which I simply do not understand. If his care were otherwise, you can bet I would provide a different review, but it's simply not the case. Again, I'm not sure of the basis of some of these reviews, but they fly in the face of my and my family's experience with Dr. Copperman's care and that of his staff. In good conscience, I couldn't let some of these reviews stand without providing our experience with Dr. Copperman, his nurses and his office staff. You won't be disappointed with his care.
