Well, as a former employee myself, I never expected to become a patient, especially not an ICU Heart patient. It has been so long since I retired that nobody there knew me except for one nurse. I was very grateful for the level of professionalism I was accorded and the timeliness of everyone involved. Having a Triple Bypass is no picnic. However, the staff continued to assure me all along the way. All accommodations were made for my needs and that of the Mrs. Staff were exceedingly polite and very patient with us as we navigated this 'other side of the coin'. Everyone from Registration all the way to the CNA that wheelchaired me to the exit door were very nice. It is amazing how differently people come across when your life is in their hands. I am exceedingly grateful and appreciative of all the staff and care I received while I was there. Now I am home and completing recovery from my successful surgery. I feel great and look forward gratefully to the next few decades this surgery has provided me.

Dr. D not only blamed me for my illnesses, that are inherited & very serious, he asked me where my neuropathy pain was. I briefly pointed to the 2 spots in my legs, then Dr. told me to "quit complaining". I came to him per my insurance company's suggestion because of the severity of my medical issues at 68 years old, also to ask him for a scan on my stomach/rectal area that had malignancy taken out about 2 years ago, that is painful 24/7 & has bled intermittently after the malignancy was taken out. He refused any scans, because he himself didn't diagnose it, also he hadn't read any of the 62 pages of medical records I brought in at 1st visit last week, from Lane County for the last 19 years. I asked him to please, per my insurance company's Case Management's request, send a referral to Palliative Care that I do qualify for. He refused that, too. My impression is that he wanted to start from scratch to make his own evaluation. If I wasn't so sick with internal bleeding issues, consistent stomach pains, alleged IBS/Crohns Disease (suggested by a specialist/provider last year), I would have been agreeable to Dr. D's requests, though partially, because I've had severe problems with stools (constipation), requiring hospitalization, since I was 8 years old, also possibly inherited. Dr. D said that my 2.5 years of low dose pain meds for Fibromyalgia, Neuropathy, Osteoarthritis, etc.,etc., is the cause of my constipation. Again, he didn't read a thing about my past medical history the 19 years here in OR + other state I lived. This has been going on for 29 years. I don't mean only bathroom difficulties/issues, but severe & life threatening medical issues. I was put on SSDI in '97. To top this, he didn't continue my pain meds, so I'm cut off cold turkey. I felt as if I had to pull teeth for my heart meds, also he didn't prescribe me my Pro-Air asthma/COPD inhaler. His medical assistant also neglected to log in my very high systolic blood pressure reading because she intimated that "I have too many issues to put in necessary info". This girl had a bad attitude from the start, maybe due to having a bad day. Please note: I was refused any/all referrals, whether to Digestive or pain management. Dr. D said that he's an Internist & doesn't refer, also he said he doesn't specialize in Digestive issues (that's why I needed the referrals). I fired Dr. "D" the next day & have to wait a couple weeks to see a new Primary Care Dr. Time is of essence. I am scared. I hurt. The pain everywhere is unbearable, & I just want help from a doctor/specialist. I don't want to die like this. Staff in reception....awesome! Kim was so helpful, & the 2 other ladies went out of their way to help me log in my pages full of info on their tablet. I was very impressed, also grateful for them! I've been instructed by our state Senator, to contact Senior/Disabled Advocacy, because our senator is not happy with this issue & others from me/other patients. He wants to be apprised of what the State Advocacy says & does as far as my grievances, & I am to keep contact with the Senator. This, he said, is unacceptable! I will call/contact State Advocacy tomorrow, Monday. I wished it had worked out with Dr. "D".

I was expecting to speak with a medical doctor for a proper diagnosis. The staff should have given me an explanation of the procedure. What I explained should have prompted for imaging test, or at the very least a doctor's referral. However, a poorly diagnosis by the staff left me waiting in the lobby for several hours and no practical solution to my condition. The medical doctor either made a poor diagnose himself or improper due to missing information from the medical team, or maybe just some straight up foul play at hand. I had my lab work taken and that was not sufficient in determining my condition based on the symptoms I described, quite ignorant and rather reckless if any of you believe you can diagnose a person's health condition based on simple metabolic panel and urine sample. I needed an imaging test along side which they decided was unnecessary. Rather than take some preventative measures you want to wait until I'm in critical condition before taking me seriously. I suppose that is the common sick care system business model. Had I known this is the nature of your business operation I would have never signed the treatment agreement. I wouldn't have wasted my time coming here. I thought I'd be speaking with a doctor shortly after signing the treatment consent, instead I sat out in the lobby for an additional hour because the medical staff completely forgot about me. Apparently, the medical doctor had already dismissed my case. The lady checking blood pressure became concerned about me because I was sitting out there for so long, she had to go check ask the medical staff why the gentlemen has been sitting in the lobby for several hours. They finally called me to the into the back, a nurse handed me a packet of paper and basically told me to get the hell out of here! I was completely confused. I really don't know how the medical doctor had provided medical care for me, I didn't even speak with a medical doctor. A nurse wrote me a prescription for some otc medication in which I did not need, and handed some a pamphlet with worse information than a convoluted subreddit. This visit felt more like a business scam than a treatment plan!

I am brand new to being able to access medical care so I'm somewhat unfamiliar with the processes, and that's on me! But befire stopping a heart medication, I admit it did not occur to me the Dr would just cease refilling it with no warning. I requested a refill through my pharmacy's automated service 3x, figuring something was going wrong with the request process there- after a month or so I finally called to see if the requests were processing, and they said "oh, yes! They're going through, your Dr is just denying them" - So that is how I found out. I came in very excited to finally have insurance and start to be seen by a doctor. I left each time feeling embarrassed, generally unheard and just awful. Each visit besides the one that I brought a friend with me to- had lots of eye rolling and scoffing at what I had been doing to manage histamine flares, and deep exhaustion at home (which had been incredibly effective, I was so grateful to find relief!), after I had asked for help managing those symptoms in the first visit, but the doctor had said "go on Amazon and try otc medicine until you find one that works!" My symptoms were chalked up to allergies, aging. Later testing and several visits later presenting the same info - determined I had a chronic illness. I cried during the session where my symptoms were attributed to allergies & getting old- because I had taken the day off, and was so excited to get help, and ended up feeling very rushed, and dismissed like I was inconveniencing them. The Dr looked at me very awkwardly and asked if I was going to therapy. I said "sorry, you probably don't get a lot of people crying in here" They said "....no, not really. "They also let me know that a dr from a previous er visit wrote something unkind in my chart. I asked a couple times for an allergy panel- I was told by my pcp and the allergist there "they're very expensive, and even if you do it- what are you going to do with the results?" I didn't even know what to say to that. One session another person came in with a iPad on a podium and took notes- this person was not introduced, and no one mentioned what they were doing. The following visit I was asked if a student could listen in, and I said no. They said would you consider it, bc they are wanting to learn about my condition- I declined. It's understandable to not know immediately what is going on with a new patient! I don't expect that at all. I go into doctors doing my best to present what is going on and am absolutely there for guidance. I don't go into places asking for help, and give attitude, or think I know more than medical professionals I know by this review I may sound like I have wild expectations, or maybe I have a bad attitude But I promise I do my best to be chill and respectful and helpful. But the treatment/weird adversarial attitude from the doctor, the no heads up about ceasing to refill heart medication became too much. I'm so grateful to have found another PCP. They helped me immediately, explained medications and their thought processes, ask in depth questions about lifestyle and already are ordering heart monitoring tests to evaluate my condition, and were surprised my former PCP had not taken these steps before diagnosing me and putting me on a medication. It could have just been an awful fit, and they just didn't like the cut of my jib. I'm truly hoping this is rare and everyone else has an easy time.

For 1st time on 1/7/26; He refused to have me as a patient because I have too many medical problems. ITo mention a few: AFIB, Bradycardia, meningioma, Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis throughout, Spondylitis, Degenerative Disc Disease, & a whole lot of pain to go with it all! If that wasn't enough, I was refused a Cologuard test kit (I had a pre-cancerous polyp removed 18 months ago, & 3 months later, I started experiencing intermittent bleeding in rear area, also intermittent bleeding in stomach). After being offered a stool sample DNA test, Dr. Everts denied it to me, refused me my heart/COPD meds, & refused any/all referrals, whether it be for Internal Medicine specialist and/or pain management. Instead of referring me to specialists, he told me to BEG all practitioners to get an Internist. It was a waste of waiting 3 months to see Dr. Everts. I'm 67, extremely disabled, housebound most the time. I made several complaints, one to Providence Insurance, who want me to file a formal grievance within the 60 days period, which I will. This should never have happened. I sent an email to office management, who called a few days later to ask what she could do to fix the issue. She explained that it wasn't a "good fit" with Dr. Everts. She wanted to help me. Much appreciated, though. In the interim she told me Dr. Everts said he'd be my PCP, but really, it's too late. Damage done. I, after 2 days solid all day on the phone/online, & got a Primary Care/Internal Medicine Dr. I see early February. Again, this should have never happened.

When I went to see the doctor again, he says, are they getting your wound closed? I said they have not called maybe they're busy. He said he'll send it again they're never busy. By the third time I just asked for the phone number and I'll give them a call because they never called me. This is the response I got over the phone. Hello my doctor sent notice that I want to see you guys for a stagnant wound. The Karen on the phone in a nasty voice. We never got anything from you or your doctor.( note at this point she did not have my name. She did not have my doctors name.) I said this is so and so. She says in the nasty voice. No, we got nothing for you. I said my doctors name is so-and-so. Then came back in the nasty voice. Well, we don't take your insurance. How much does it cost out-of-pocket? She came back in and that nasty voice, or you can't afford us. As if she knew my income I said that's not what I asked how much does it cost? She says $1000-$5000 per visit. And I said thank you and hung up. She was the nastiest receptionist on the planet. The fact is one to $2000. I can afford. $3000. I'm pushing it at 4 or 5 im pulling out the credit card. If this is a receptionist, I can only imagine how bad the doctors are through their negligence. If you're looking for wound clinic drive to 120 miles to Portland don't mess with Eugene Springfield area. They are horrible if I could give less than a one star I would. And I tell everybody how horrible they are. Not because they didn't take my insurance because they were so absolutely nasty to me. The receptionist needs to be terminated. And receptionist that nasty means the doctors are just as nasty. I'll deal with the stagnant wound by myself.

However they are sitting on my remaining $766.50 because I now have to regularly see their wound clinic (which will also be covered by insurance) but because there might be a fee they are going to sit on my money. They've also said that after they get EVERYTHING to a zero balance it will take 4 to 6 weeks to issue a refund. It'll take months for me to get that money back and I never really had to give them one red cent when they called. When they call before your procedure tell them you'd rather wait to find out how much you owe after they bill your insurance. On top of that while I was there they gave me the wrong medicine. They actually hooked up an IV bag with someone else's name on it to me!!!
