This place does NOT show any loyalty or even a sense of compassion to it's patients/customers. I have been going to a particular doctor for at least 25 years (who joined with this facility and is now retired, recently hired a new NP in her place.) I had no idea my insurance failed to pay for a particular visit, and shortly after that visit my dad's health begn to fail and he subsequently died. Within 2 months of insurance denial to the office/accounting sent me to collections and TERMINATED me as a patient. I didn't even know I owed anything! I hadn't spoken with anyone. They said they tried to call. When l explained the situation, they had no regard or understanding for extenuating life curcumstances. I had Never had a problem with payments/insurance for 25 years!! Charged me $64 for an "alcohol screening" and a "depression screening", both of which consisted of me checking "I don't drink" and "I'm not depressed" on their new patient questionnaire. Neither were discussed at all in the actual checkup. When I refused to pay for that, they sent it to collections. If a doctor's office can be a scam, this is it. Avoid at all costs unless you want to be charged for the oxygen you breathe in the waiting room. read more

The worst. I'm nearly 70 and I've never had a doctor (Knowlton) who cared less and was more ambivalent. My inquiries about my excema and fingernails were dismissed. I reached out for mental health help and was answered at midnight by Eugene police officers doing a check. Avoid this idiot. read more

Took awhile to get set up because of the insurance switch over and really had to call a few times to get it correct but didn't mind helping the uninformed worker. that much. So, I was as late 10 minutes for the appointment and by the time we spoke to the front desk and she spoke to doctor we where 18 minutes late and they wouldn't admit us. The waiting room was completely empty and the lady had no other calls going, a second staff was drinking coffee . Just sat there looking at us like we broke the law. I have a had lot of medical and dental issues lately and I am used to waiting 30 minutes to an hour to get in sometimes, it sucks but I understand but shut up about some bogus protocol and look at what's going on in front of you. No one was in the waiting room- who would it make late!? no, it was easier to do Nothing and stick to your protocol than provide quality service to your patients. I had to leave because I was upset but went back to car with my daughter and left her there - she is sick! - then went back and a still nothing, the doctor would rather have a longer break than see us and she has no opening in the near future. I left again then pulled over and called them, told them who I was, and what I thought of them and canceled my own appointment for the next day and told them what I think of their lazy azz front staff and doctor. Don't bother going to this place, zero heart and craap service. Too bad for the doctors who work here, they get to look like craap because the have craap front staff. read more

This family clinic has a wonderful staff and my primary doctor is fabulous! He is very thorough with his exams and a very pleasant person to feel comfortable with! And you never have to wait more than a few minutes to be seen! read more

I love Mckenzie Family Practice, the office staff is amazing and Dr. Lebow is the most attentive doctor I have ever had the privilege of seeing! I only give 3 stars because of his nurse Judith. She is short with people, very rude and has no phone manners. If not for her impolite behavior on several occasions, I would give this place 5 stars! read more

I have been with Dr lebow for more then 20 years he has always been very attentive and passionate toward my needs. This review would be a 4-5 though Judith his nurse could be alittle friendlier, sometimes she is short with you over the phone, and the wait can be quite long at times. I did some research and thought that Dr. LeBow at McKenzie family practice would be a good fit for me. I have a rare autoimmune disease, fibromyalgia, and a few other health concerns. I see doctors at the national institutes of health in Bethesda Maryland and also at Oregon health science University in Portland. But I needed a local doctor too. I called them and was told that they were accepting new patients so I requested new patient packet to be sent to me. I filled out the paperwork and hand-delivered it to the office along with a copies of all of my medical records, I was told that I would receive a phone call later that day to schedule my first appointment. Much to my surprise I received a voicemail stating that they were not going to see me as a patient because I have fibromyalgia. I was very confused by this, not understanding why a doctor would not see me because of a health issue, so I called them and asked the receptionist and all she would tell me was that it is the doctor's policy to not accept patients with fibromyalgia. That is the only explanation I received, so it turns out this is not a compassionate, attentive, caring doctor at all. I would not give any stars if it would allow me but I have to get at least one and that's the only reason they are getting one. If they are unwilling to accept patients with certain health conditions they should state that on their website or on the paperwork or when you call to request a new patient packet. I've had my PCP here for over 3 years. Friendly and quick service from staff. My doctor works hard to make everything comfortable for me. I'm currently in good health, but if I had any issues in sure they would be able to resolve them or direct me where is need to go. Good fit for me. read more

Dr. Jane Neary has been my PCP for years, and based upon this lengthy relationship I give her only top marks. Not only is she a caring, competent physician but also a warm and friendly person. These qualities can make a patient's life-threatening diagnosis more bearable. She's gone far out of her way on several occasions to extend an office visit just to listen to complaints, answer questions and offer reassurance. She's much more than a diagnostician - she's a compassionate healer. read more

I would give ZERO stars, if possible. Dr. Jane Neary was my doctor at McKenzie Family Practice for a couple of years, and she is the absolute WORST! I've seen some bad doctors throughout my life, but I have yet to meet anyone who has the level of disrespect, apathy, incompetence, and laziness as Neary does. She should not be allowed to even "practice" medicine. She misdiagnosed me at least twice (can't even properly identify rosacea). If she couldn't find what was causing a health issue, she wouldn't look into it any further. She would just shrug her shoulders. She clearly does no research, doesn't keep up on current medicine, and doesn't ask her colleagues for their professional medical opinion. Basically, she wants you out of her office as soon as possible. The last straw for me was when I made an appointment with her, asking for help because I had lost a lot of weight due to a very stressful, traumatic life experience. I basically wanted to get some labs done to ensure that my health was still in relatively good condition, and also explained to her what I had been going through. She immediately tried pushing anti-depressants on me... Just a band-aid to the issue (for which I was seeing a psychologist to work through). I have tried 4 different anti-depressants in the past, only to find that they made everything worse, including my health. I respectfully relayed this information to Neary, and she was instantly angry that I didn't want to take the anti-depressants. I told her how sick they made me, and she said in a very cold, unprofessional, and disrespectful manner, "Well you look sick already!". After that appointment, I was rightfully upset by what had happened. My doctor was supposed to be my advocate, not a mean enemy. I am better at writing what's on my mind than speaking it, so I wanted to calmly collect my thoughts and politely relay them to her. I let her know that I felt disrespected during the appointment and that I need to be able to openly communicate with my physician in a respectful, safe, and compassionate environment. After that, she immediately dismissed me from her practice without any advance notice. She knew I was in the middle of seeking treatment, but rather than apologize for her incredibly unprofessional behavior or make the situation right, she left me out on my own with no primary care physician. She also made a point to accuse me of having an eating disorder when she knew damn well that I do not and never have had one... Especially since part of the reason I made the appointment in the first place was to ask about a going to nutritionist so that I could put weight back on in a healthy way. I've never been so insulted by a so-called "medical professional". Stay far, far away from Neary. She is an absolutely awful person. read more

I can't both lay down AND breath at the same time for the pressure in my chest . The pain I am in constantly would kill any horse . We would not let a wild dog suffer this kind of uncontrolled pain but these dr here think its good to dick me around because they can . I'm telling this one about intermedullar bilateral femur pain and he goes is that in your thigh ? Like he needed a moment to remember where the femur is located and what bilateral means . Thats low care when the dr needs to follow up with a basic anatomy question . Its low care to give me a pain referral That should take a week and takes 6 months to be silently rejected . The last time its been a month into a one week contract for a pain dr . My life is over over not being able to cope with overwhelming brutal physical treatable untreated pain . Simply put my life is over . I want everyone to know exactly who was paid to care and failed miserably . You should care because this could happen to you . The no care delivered by this office cost me my life so they could enjoy dicking me to this end . The neglect at public expense is criminal . read more

I know someone who sees Dr. LeBow and speaks very highly of him. So I called the McKenzie Family Practice office and asked to make a new patient appointment. The office staff was unfriendly on the phone right out of the gate; she told me I have to complete a new patient packet before they'll even put me on the schedule, and that it would take a really long time to mail me one so I should just come pick one up. It all felt a bit dismissive, and my job doesn't allow me to take off easily, so I had to wait a couple of weeks until my spouse had a day where he could swing by there and get it for me. I felt that this was a bit much-- I come from a medical industry family and I haven't heard of this kind of thing; typically I wouldn't have tolerated it, but I'm new in town and finding a good physician can be tough in a new town. So I filled out the paperwork and faxed it. I called an hour after faxing it in. The staff who answered the phone (her name was Jane) told me she had no idea where my fax was because it hadn't made it to her desk yet, and said that she would call me when she had it. She called about two hours later, which was fine. But she called to tell me I was missing two forms; one I had but didn't submit because there was no need, the other I'm not sure what happened to. I offered to complete them when I came in to my appointment, but she started to ARGUE WITH ME ABOUT THAT, because it was apparently unacceptable I might complete them in person and she didn't want to schedule me without the documents in hand. At that point I lost my temper and told her to shred my paperwork because I have no interest in being treated that way by a doctor's office. If that's the service I got just trying to get my foot in the door to see a doctor, I can't be sure I won't get equally unfriendly and unwelcoming service when I actually have a dire need for medical service.
