Half of egg and cheese on crossiant
    Hafsa M.

Overpriced for no reason. Picked up a egg and cheese on crossiant for 4.99. I was expecting a decent size sandwich.. it was small, the bottom was burnt and barley and egg in it. Then there was a sign posted that 5 is the minimum for credit cards, understandable. I picked up a roll of candy (it was small). It was 2.99!?!?!?!?. Then I started asking the prices. Everything was more then double the price. Nothing was labeled and it honestly looked like the clerk was making up the prices as it goes. Never again going here.

It was bland but they have Sriracha and hot sauce so heh

Wish they had the hot bar ready (it's 9 am!) but they didn't so I had to order an Omelette. It's fine. Place is clean, they are polite.

Little cafe located in the Inova Healthplex.

Decent size interior with some outdoor seating and semi busy on a Thursday around noon. Order at counter and they bring your food out to your table. There was a small queue so the manager opened up a second line and called us over which was a nice touch. Ordered a BYO omelette with spinach, mushrooms and Swiss cheese-added a 1/2 avocado. Solid omelette and came out soft as ordered. Eggs with French toast -no bacon were also enjoyed. Cappuccino was not as strong as I like but was ok. Will get an extra shot next time. Service was friendly and our food came out in a timely manner. Overall, good for pastries, breakfast and coffee.

It was rich, warm, creamy and absolutely perfect. But unfortunately, the cashier single-handedly dimmed the experience. There were four of us dining on a Saturday morning, and we placed a pretty solid order of entrées, beverages, pastries... the works. Despite that, the cashier greeted every simple request with the strongest attitude I've seen before 10 a.m. We asked for our cookies in a bag instead of on a plate, we got an attitude. We asked for one order of the eggs to be cooked a specific way, we got an attitude. I ordered extra croissants, and she put them on a plate instead of in a bag... and somehow I still got the attitude. Long story short: the food was excellent, the hot chocolate was perfection, the other staff was friendly/helpful, but the customer service was giving "absolutely not." I hope this was just an off day, because everything else deserved five shining stars.

I ordered the peanut latte and potatoes, and both were AMAZING! I honestly wish they gave you more potatoes because they were that good. My friend ordered the hummus, which he really enjoyed because he always gets it whenever he comes here. When we arrived, the line wasn't too long, but the tables were pretty full. We were able to find seats outside and eventually grabbed a table inside. The cashier was super nice and friendly while taking our order. The woman bringing food out to the tables was also such a sweetheart and always had a smile on her face. Yellow has both indoor and outdoor seating, and I really enjoyed the cute, cozy vibe inside. I also noticed that the tables were cleaned promptly as guests left, which I always appreciate. Overall, I had a great experience and can definitely see why I've heard so many good things about Yellow. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu!

Instead I got a halava chocolate chip cookie- oh my goodness. Sesame and chocolate are such a rich, decadent combination. I paired it with a hibiscus drink on an exceptionally hot day. It was refreshing and the perfect balance of flavors and sweetness. The interior is inviting with low tables and seating with additional seating outside. The barista and cashier were sweet and chatty and made customers feel welcome.

Ordering is done at the counter, and the process was quick and easy. The staff taking orders were friendly and helpful, and our food was brought out very fast despite the lunch crowd. My husband and I both had the ham and cheese sandwiches. They were good, although nothing especially memorable. The desserts, on the other hand, were delicious. We also picked up a couple of muffins along with an iced tea and coffee. One thing that really stood out was the huge selection of desserts, danishes, cookies, teas, coffees, and other drinks. There was plenty of indoor seating plus a few outdoor tables, so it never felt cramped. The only disappointment was that there were no free refills on the iced tea, which is what kept this from being a five-star visit for me. On the plus side, we signed up for the loyalty program and were pleasantly surprised to earn a free pastry from just this visit. Since we don't live in the area and probably won't be back anytime soon, that was a nice unexpected bonus. Overall, it's a solid spot with friendly service, great desserts, and plenty of seating.
