La Madeleine is the best! All of their food is delicious! Chicken friand with mushroom sauce, wow! The coffees and lattes are good too! People and staff are friendly! Place is cute. Has a fireplace , French lessons playing on the speakers in the bathroom, French vibes all around. I love love the pastries ! The Sacher Torte is absolutely delightful!!!!

As a huge fan of French culture and language, La Madeleine exceeded my expectations! First, they are a large French style café. When you are enjoying your time at La Madeleine, you feel like you're in a café in Paris. From the cozy fire to the fresh baked complementary bread, it is quite the experience! The prices are fair for the quality of food that you're getting. We ordered French toast and the potato galette. The French toast was so soft and full of flavor. The potatoes were crispy and seasoned well. Very friendly service - they even speak a little bit of French to you! It was so cool!! We will definitely be coming back.

Place a DoorDash order on a Saturday night. 2. Crème brûlée 1. Blueberry muffin 1. Raisin muffin I received two uncooked crème brûlées instead, of a blueberry muffin, I got something else, and the raisin muffin was smashed like someone stepped on it. It was truly disappointing since it was my first pregnancy craving.

La Madeline is a cool cafe vibe. My favorite is their Coconut cake. My father likes their french hearts and latte. Service is cool. The fire place was so warm so if you don't like being hot, definitely do not sit near it

I hadn't been to la Madeleines in a while and I was very happy with my visit yesterday with my mother and two little ones. They had the fireplace on which was great after getting inside for a cold outdoors. I ordered the chicken pasta and it was amazing. The cashier made the perfect latte for my mom. She is extremely picky when it comes down to her lattes and she absolutely loved it which made my day. We will be back for another lunch date!

Pretty good competition to Panera. Lived in the area for years and never went to this place until now. I am surprised that it's like a coffee / crepes / sandwich place all in one. The service was decent. The food, however, was somewhat lacking. I prefer all my stuff hot. It may have been due to getting such a wide variety of items. I still ate everything. My favorite part was the crepes. Would probably come back and try more of their breakfast.

Food is delicious. I had classic French toast with bacon as a side. And my husband had the eggs Benedict which he enjoyed as well! The staff were courteous and knowledgeable. The restaurant was pretty and quiet. We enjoyed it!!

Was in the Kingstown area I wanted something unassuming. So I chose LA Madeline. I remember one time for work they catered our holiday party and the food was good. Nice thick slices of turkey, good stuffing. So I chose the turkey croissant and they gave me a big bag for a little sandwich. Way to much for a to go order. I digress the sandwich was soft and fluffy the turkey got lost in the sandwich a lot of egg. The cheddar blended on perfectly. Next time I'll take more time look at the menu. Good customer service!

DH and I came on a Sunday morning kind of early because we didn't know if Sunday church traffic would be an issue (it wasn't really while we were there). There was a line when we got inside and it partially blocked the entrance, but only one register was open at the time which was the cause of the line and blockage. The case of baked goods looked amazing!! Of course we picked a couple of macarons (lemon and vanilla). There were other flavors available like raspberry and chocolate. I ordered a crepe and hot chocolate, DH ordered a quiche and a cappuccino. The food came out fairly quickly except the quiche. The quiche came out almost 30 minutes after we ordered. We noticed several people who sat after us had gotten their food and I was more than halfway done with my crepe (I offered to wait to eat, but he said no). DH went to find out when his quiche would be ready and they told him it was still in the oven. Shortly after, his quiche arrived. It was definitely freshly made as it was piping hot. I was able to taste a bite of it - delicious! But wild that it took that long. The crepe was also delicious and sweet. Everyone was really friendly and the food was good. Took a star off for how long it took to get his food. Will probably come back if we are in the area again.

    Avocado toast with fried egg

I'm completely offended by this toast. I had to pay 1.99 for the fried egg. A complete waste of money. It has no taste. As an employee of this establishment I would've been ashamed to give this to a paying customer. And the woman at the register had horrible customer service. I'll probably never be back. If you're in the Kingstowne/ Springfield area. Go to best buns. They have the best avocado toast

Chicken ceasar salad with extra dressing. Very good.

I stop here to get a fresh made salad. La Madeleine is set up to dine in or out or take out. It reminds me of a Parisian cafe. Orders are taken at the counter, the food is made, and brought to your table. I ordered a chicken ceasar salad extra dressing. Food was tasty and fresh. I also had bread, butter with a berry preserve. I like the atmosphere. It is laid back. Service is quick and efficient. However, tables need to be cleaned up more quickly once patrons vacate the dining room. I got the feeling that no one was concerned. It made the area look unkept and downright dirty. I like the food and would try again at a different time of day. It was late afternoon.

He was in the mood for Lahmacun (sounds like Lahamajoun) super thin, crispy pizza topped with a mixture of minced meat with peppers, tomato, herbs, and spices. More fine, light, and delicate than the typical American thin pizza. The service, drinks, and food were beyond stellar in Narman. We felt like the only customers there and were waited on by many staff. The highlight of the day there was their pizza and their beverage presentation and flavors. We came on a weekday night and were the only people there in the end. My husband was impressed at how upscale the restaurant was and it was the finest Turkish restaurant he ever visited. He said it was similar to the hotel dining place he lived at in Turkey. This was our first restaurant in downtown Alexandria and one of our best experiences in Alexandria. The Lahmacun was the finest Turkish pizza my husband ever had. He ordered three of them! Each pizza was served on a large wood board with extra toppings on the side like lemon wedges, cilantro, and onions. They are so fine and thin that you can roll them up to eat. We had to put some of the last pizza aside for take out. I ate the takeout piece and was very impressed how delicious it was after being in the fridge overnight & re-heated. I loved the flavors of the Lahmacun and I don't even care for pizza that much. It is my most preferred pizza in my life ever next to the Crazy Ex in The Thirsty Goat in Clarksville, Tennessee. I ordered a Turkish dish with a rich and ancient history, Hunkar Begendi, or "Sultan's Delight." It dates back several centuries, and it was prepared for the sultans and high-ranking officials, and was served during special occasions and celebrations. The Hunkar Begendi had lamb and velvet soft eggplant with spices. I ordered it with a side of rice. It was very delicious and unique. Yet the Lahmacun despite its simplicity stole the show and cost 1/3 of the price of the Hunkar Begendi. For my beverage, I ordered The Elma. It has a stunning presentation in a smoke filled glass box. The Elma is a beverage with Bourbon, Peach liquor, vanilla maple, Apple butter,Lemon juice, and Apple cider. You have to watch the videos of how it is presented at the table. At the end of our dinner, they played happy birthday and surprised my husband with an ice cream and pumpkin dessert with a candle. So wonderful & heartfelt. It was a fascinating and flavorful dish. The pumpkin tasted like sweet potato & was different. This is a must see place for Turkish cuisine and the finest restaurant service. Prices are low to fair for such high quality food and service. Five Stars.

We were seated inside, which had a decent amount of seating. I thought the restaurant was cute, and it had a nice ambience. We ordered several dishes, starting with the cajun crawfish Mac & cheese, crab stuffed oysters, and charred spring vegetables. All 3 starters were delicious, with my favorite being the crab stuffed oysters. The Mac & cheese was a close second - it was nicely seasoned and perfectly au dente. The vegetables were also very good, and the pita it came with was great. On the breakfast menu, we ordered the chicken and waffles and shrimp and grits. Both were very good. I haven't had many chicken and waffles, but the chicken was tasty with the hot honey. The shrimp and grits was very flavorful. If I had to pick one though, I would probably pick the shrimp and grits. The service was solid, she was very friendly and came back a decent number of times. I would 100% come back again!

We walked in and were blessed to immediately get a table despite being told it may be an hour wait on the phone. We received a menu and ordered the breakfast burrito and the biscuits and gravy. Our food came extremely fast which surprised me and makes me wonder how much is prepped ahead. My friend received the burrito and it was very greasy so she requested to order something else. My biscuits and gravy were yummy. The eggs were cooked well and the fried chicken was the star of the show. Easily this was some of the best chicken I have had in a while. I overall enjoyed my meal but I wish there was way more gravy as there was only a little bit layered on top of the 2 biscuits. My friend was given a menu to order something else and this menu was different and had dinner options. It was 4:30 when we came and not more than 15 minutes of difference before receiving a menu the second time so we were surprised but eager to look. My friend ordered the half chicken which came with collard greens and grits. Since there was a different menu I wasn't aware of I wanted to order something additional and opted for saving the brunch meal I ordered for breakfast tomorrow. I loveeee scallops so when I seen them on the menu especially over grits I had to order it. The scallops were cooked wonderfully and I loved the composition of the dish with the creamy grits and the acid from the tomatoes and the smokiness of the sauce and grits. My friend loved the half chicken and after trying it myself we both agreed Matt and Tony's knows how to cook chicken well. The greens had nice flavor but were a little dry and needed some broth/juice from cooking. Again the grits were delicious and creamy with a bit of smoky flavor. I also had the Peso Cocktail which was sweet with a nice kick. Overall I enjoyed this restaurant and would come again and absolute what I ordered again as well. Coming here next time will be hard cause I'm definitely going to be battling between wanting what I already had and trying something new.

All of the hip young girls in high school recommended this place to me and my friends and lets just say, they have never been more wrong. My girls and I went this weekend for a birthday brunch. I wanted a crepe, but when I saw it was 17 DOLLARS to slap some Nutella and strawberries on a piece of crepe is outrageous. I ordered a "Continental Breakfast," which, with tax and tip, cost me $30 DOLLARS. I wish you could have seen the look on my face when they gave me a plate of rabbit food. All 6 of us looked at the plate and laughed. Seriously, my 5 year old neice can eat 3 times as much of that in one sitting. So, in what world would that be enough food for a grown woman? My friend then went on to order the French toast for a grand total of $36 DOLLARS. Mind you, there was only one piece of toast, and the Inside was raw and soggy. Tasted like eating wet, soaked toilet paper. On top of the overpriced food and small portions, our "server" came to our table for a total of ONE SINGULAR TIME. My friend had also ordered a Chai Latte. Surprise, Surprise! It never came, and they still charged her for it. I think the nice man who brought us our food could see the look on our faces when we received our food, because he then brought us a free side of French fries. It is a huge problem when the french fries were the only sufficient thing I put in my mouth at this restaurant. I please, genuinely beg all of you to NOT waste your money. I promise there is anywhere else where you can get a crepe for double the size and half the cost. Once we left, we went down to Call Your Mother, the Jewish Deli, to get more food, as all of us left with our tummies still rumbling. Mind you, a full bagel sandwich and coffee cost HALF THE PRICE of one meal at Fontaine. Horrible. Mind you, it is 2 days later, and I am still thinking about this. I fully created a Yelp account just so I could leave a review. I think I would have a better experience eating an IHOP Continental breakfast than whatever I put in my mouth at this restaurant. Not worth the hype at all. Save your hard-earned cash and be a big baller elsewhere!
