Went to Spring Tea Garden with two friends today. Had the Spring Tea, which is a lot of food for one person to eat, but I did. My two friends had the Royal Tea which is much more food than the Spring Tea and also comes with a glass of champagne. Everything was very good. There were around five different types of sandwiches. I had three chicken salad sandwiches and two cucumber sandwiches. My friends had some of the other types of sandwiches. We each had a pot of a different type of tea. Had the British Breakfast tea since I like dark and strong tea. I live in Los Angeles County. It was nice being in Orange County where people can eat inside. Many of my friends go to Orange or Ventura Counties whenever they are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, or when the just want to eat inside. It's a very short walk up Harbor Blvd. from the Fullerton Amtrak/Metrolink depot to Spring Tea Garden and for those who drive there is a large parking lot in back. read more

Our reservation was lost. By the time we were seated the kids involved were over it. 5th floor seating was a nice outside balcony, but the service suffered due to the location. A huge 10" blade sharp knife was simply left on a chair near our table and was never removed. Sandwiches were dry, pastries ordinary. The tea- that was delicious. Overpriced experience, disappointing considering all our planning. We looked cute tho! read more

Our first time here. We each got the Spring Tea. The sandwiches were very good, the one with pesto was my favorite but they were all good. The scone was a good portion and very good. We tried 4 different teas: spring cherry, mango Ceylon, peach blossom, hibiscus watermelon. They were all good, my less favorite was the spring cherry. I really Ike the fruitiness of the hibiscus watermelon. read more

Oh my goodness - what a treat! This place is wonderful and caters to a fun experience. This is introverts' heaven, and I'm sure extroverts and ambiverts and all the in-betweens enjoy it too. I came for a friend's bridal shower. The venue has a parking lot and easy entrance from there. Thankfully, there is an elevator, easy to help with supplies and wheelchairs. The rooms look vintage, like Downtown Abbey. The whole experience feels very Downtown Abbey-ish. You are served scones, delicious sandwiches as a variety, and small desserts. We had three tea flavors - Peach Blossom, Early Grey, and Jasmine. I liked the light Peach Blossom. I wonder if they have Stevia, since we were served regular sweeteners. The staff is tremendously helpful and polite. Great people overall. For decor, we brought in our own. The venue provides the tables and chairs. Very cute furniture scattered throughout the rooms. I would come here again! I would give the food 3.5 out of 5 stars, hence the 4 stars review. It would be cool to have a variety of scones as well. This place feels like a hidden gem in the city! read more

My sister and I tried this place out on a whim, and what an amazing experience we had! The tea selection is literally two pages long and just served piping hot. Each of us had our own teapot, which was completely different. They're all mixed and matched, which is so adorable. The sandwiches and desserts, just topped everything off so nicely. The service was impeccable, and everyone is super friendly and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend coming for tea.!! read more

We had a friend's sprinkle here a couple weeks ago. We got a small size private room to ourself. The room came with its bathroom which was very convenient. Though the bathroom could use a facelift and some upgrades. The set up was lovely. Teas and food were pretty but tasted okay, nothing to write home about. I think this is definitely a cute place for a ladies' luncheon, birthday, etc. read more

Went to Spring Tea Garden for a friend's bridal shower. It was great finding another place for afternoon tea, although I think this place caters more to larger groups and events. I wasn't part of the planning process, so can't comment on the booking process and pricing. The entrance to Spring Tea Garden was at the back of the building, which was handy since the parking lot (shared with other nearby businesses) was nearby and a short walk. There was no "front desk" area to be greeted, so I simply followed the signs to the correct floor and room for my friend's bridal shower. Everything seemed to be pretty hands off. The staff was present to help with setting up food and serving pots of tea (pre-picked flavors by the bridal party). There were staff who came in from time to time to check in on any needs during set up and for hot water refill for tea. Other than that, it was truly an event managed by the bridal party. The food, tables, chairs, tablecloth, and tea sets were provided by Spring Tea Garden. Any other additional decor (balloons, streamers, photowall background, etc) were brought in and set up by the bridal party. If you're a DIY-er, have helpers, and don't care about being "served," this is a great venue space for bridal and baby showers! read more

We had my daughter's 13th birthday in the Bridal Suite private room, and it was fabulous! The staff were very accommodating to menu changes to suit a teen pallette, and decorating was easy given they provide ample gift and cake tables and there are places to hang balloon arches and banners within the room. I was also able to observe the girls (giving them some privacy) while having my own tea time in the tea room across the hall. I would definitely recommend this tea house for teatime and parties! read more

**July 2021 Visit** Came here over the weekend to enjoy afternoon tea with a friend since it was minutes away from an event I was participating in. Now I've only been to a handful of afternoon tea shops, but I enjoyed myself here. Parking: They have their own parking lot and does not require validation Space: I want to say there's three floors of banquet halls of various sizes. So if you need to host a large party for a bachelorette party, baby shower, birthday party, or whatever to celebrate a milestone they have ample space to accommodate your needs. On my visit I only had a party of two and on the second floor there's a smaller room (maybe can fit 40 people?) for guests with smaller parties. Menu: My friend and I had lunch beforehand so we just wanted a simple afternoon snack so we opted for the "Blossom Tea" each. This combo includes a toasted scone served with fresh cream and jam, plus a pot of tea. The scones were served in a bread basket and nice a hot, and our respective teas were in large pots. While refills were complimentary, I couldn't finish my pot since the pot was so large lol Air: I think because it's a large venue and there wasn't a lot of guests they just turned the fan on. No AC at least on my visit. Tea Room Hours: Thurs - Fri (10am-4pm); Sat/Sun 10am - 12:30 or 1:30-4:00pm. I called ahead to see if they required a reservation, and since they didn't have any large parties that day I could just come in. It's not strict like other places where you have to secure a timeslot. Groups of 8 or more do require a deposit though. Overall, I had a good time and if I want a local spot to dress-up and sip some tea this is a good option! read more

This is the second time we've been here and it was still very good but the service was just so slow. Tea wise, it's ok. The first time we went it was loose leaf, but this time it was just tea bags. One of the teas (jasmine) was not very good, but the breakfast, peach blossom, and earl grey were great. It took almost 20 minutes for them to bring out cream and sugar for the teas though, and we were seated at 10 but didnt get the food until around 1130. The finger sandwiches are super tasty: egg salad, a chicken salad, a pesto mozerrla tomato, cucumber dill, and an avocado crema cheese. However, another complaint is that we didn't have an equal amount of each sandwich, so some people didn't get to try all of them. But everything is very filling and you definitely won't leave there hungry! The scones are dense and PERFECT, so buttery and the clotted cream and jams are tasty. They offer a variety of cute hats that you can wear during the tea party, the room it's in is brightly lit and decorated. It seems they also have other more private rooms if you're having a more personal party and want to keep it enclosed. Overall, it's a beautiful location and it can hold a large group of people. The sandwiches and scones are DELICIOUS, but the tea itself is so-so. A good afternoon tea place! read more

I was looking for a spot for my sister's baby shower and thought of the tea party theme. And this place is perfect! I called and emailed the manager, Shelly, and she was super helpful with answering all my questions. I also set up an appointment to see the venue ahead of time. This place is super cute! From the outside you might not get the impression that it's really elegant inside. It's a big white building with 4 floors and plenty of free parking in the back. They have multiple spaces, including a couple of banquet halls for bigger events like weddings. For the event we were set up in the Azalea room, which has up to 60 person capacity. The space was really lovely, and has light beige walls, white trim, big windows to let in lots of light, and an antique looking wood dresser with mirror in the corner. It's kind of a blank slate but has a very clean and elegant look. They provided us with round guest tables, and buffet table for the finger sandwiches and scones, a small round table that held the lemonade and water dispensers, and two long tables for us to use for gifts and desserts/pastries to bring from outside. We chose the Spring Tea Luncheon for $29/pp and added bottomless lemonade for $25. We were able to arrive 1/2 hour early to start setting up the decor. The staff was super helpful and even provide a rolling cart to help us load in the items. The staff were prompt about refilling the tea and drinks and did a great job moving through the space without being obtrusive. And the end of the event they even offered to toss out the trash we had around (paper games, anti-bac wipes, etc.). We had a great time and this venue was the perfect setting. I plan to return here in the future just to have morning or afternoon tea. read more

Visited the upstairs room for Mothers' Day. Servers served the guests, buffet-style. Good sandwiches included avocado, also the chicken salad. The carpaccio and mozzarella skewers were good. We liked the green salad and the fresh fruit. Large whole meal scones, clotted cream, and jam formed a good cream tea! The place was pleasant. A good selection of colorful, elegant, and classical teapots and teacups. For one of us, it was a little noisy, between the music and people talking. That said, the place was full, and other guests were enjoying themselves. We did not visit the side rooms or the function rooms downstairs. read more

Review of Catering Service for Afternoon Tea I set up a bid on yelp for an afternoon tea that I was hosting at my home and only Spring Tea Garden replied that they could help me out. I was able to order tea for 8 adults to be picked up Sunday morning with all the accompaniments and tea to compliment the spread. The little sandwiches, mini desserts, and scones were very yummy. The guests enjoyed everything and it made it super easy for me to just plate everything in pretty tiers that I already had set up at my house and enjoy. I will post some photos of the finished display. The food arrived in closed and sealed catering tins and she also gave us TO-GO boxes that helped because my guests wanted to take some of the tiny desserts with them. Will definitely use again. read more

We had a great experience celebrating my sister-in-law's bridal shower here! I was able to book with Rachel a few weeks before by putting down a deposit for Sunday tea. We didn't get a private room since our party was 12 people but lucky for us that meant we could dine in their tea room which is gorgeous! From the moment we walked in the bright sunny paint, antique furnitures, and background piano music set the mood for a Victorian high tea experience. The food itself was so delicious!!! I didn't expect the food to be as filling as it was either! Between 12 of us we got three tiers of little sandwiches (avocado, mozzarella pesto, and cucumber), scones, and desserts (cheesecake, macarons, cake). Everything I tasted was phenomenal! I've had so many scones that are too dry that tasting these moist ones was such a treat. They had lemon curd, fresh strawberry jam, and clotted cream on the side for us as well! Now for the teas. We were given a menu with a wide array of tea options and were able to choose three teas with unlimited refills. We chose the peach, earl grey, and white jasmine. We loved all of them (they brought out 6 pots so we all had plenty) but the Earl Grey was something special! All in all the experience was fantastic. Total came to $30 per person. We enjoyed putting on our hats which they provided for us to choose from on the side. We loved how they accommodated our vegetarian preferences and made the high tea experience a truly memorable one! I'm giving them 2 stars, because there was one staff member who was lovely, but she didn't show up until the end of our "tea". I planned an afternoon tea for my Mother's birthday. We had 9 guests in our party, two of which were kids. I called and spoke with someone to reserve the date/time well in advance. I explained different dietary preferences, pre-ordered PB&Js for the kids etc. They told me they would call a week before our reservation to get my tea orders and confirm everything...no phone call...so, I called them to confirm. At that time, the person said she would call a few days before to double check everything...no call. So, again I call to confirm. Fast forward to the day of, they looked as if we just walked in off the street without reservations. Everything was extremely slow to come out. The only items they did remember were the tea flavors. They did not put out the items per the dietary preferences I TRIPLE checked with them. We had to remind them of the PB&Js which took forever to come out, we had to ask a couple of times for water, the desserts were straight up from Costco. The scones were from a bagged mix. I know this bc I've bought and made said bag mix several times...all of it was seriously lacking. Congrats on losing our business. read more

I brought my mom here for my moms birthday. There's a few things. When we first sat down and they brought out our teas we each ordered, typically in a tea service they pour the first cup. I've been to several but they didn't do this. Just a little disappointed due to the cost of the tea. They brought out the scones but not the lemon curd and cream. My opinion, scones shouldn't have been brought out scones until lemon curd and cream was ready. It took awhile. I think they make the cream fresh. Sandwiches were good. No problem there. Lastly, no one really checked on us. We had to flag our waitress down. It was alright. read more

This place is super cute from top to bottom. The scones are worth the visit, they are fluffy and delicious, especially with the fresh cream and jam. But to call this a tea garden is a bit off. The tea is just bag tea from world market. Don't get me wrong, it's not bad but at a tea place when I'm paying for the "tea experience " I'd expect some specialty loose leaf tea of a higher quality than what I can grab at the grocery store. That said, I'd still go back for the scones! read more

Although I did not book a reservation here, I did work with a coordinator to try to accommodate my group of 20 for a high tea experience. Questions were answered and calls returned in a timely manner. It was ultimately the menu that had us select another venue. Can't wait to try this place out! read more

Went with my daughter and granddaughters. The tea room is a bit plain but nice. My daughter and I had the spring tea and my granddaughters had the little princess tea. The food was excellent. One of the best scones I've ever had. Good variety of sandwiches and desserts. The fruit that came with the little princess tea was plentiful and a good variety as well. The tea and food came quickly too. All around a pleasant experience. Only downside is that it is pricey with the automatic 24% gratuity and being charged the spring tea price of $34 instead of the little princess tea price of $20 because of making a reservation. For that reason alone we are not likely to return. read more

I've been eyeing this place for over a year now and we finally got a chance to throw our niece's 1st bday here! They allowed us to come in 30 min before our start time to set up (which tbh, is not enough, especially bc their rooms are literally blank canvases, which i like, but is really time-consuming when you're trying to decorate). Needless to say, we wasted way too much time decorating and setting up and ate into our actual time. The staff are so helpful and quick. Refills and food were rolling. We all had a good time. Most of all, the food was yummy! The sandwiches were delish, my fave was actually the tuna one. Typically, I like the egg salad one way more, but the tuna was savory and super tasty. I also LOVED the scones. in fact, everyone raved about it (it was moist, warm and soft!). The jam and mascarpone cheese toppings were MmmmMmmm. We had leftovers and had people take home some food. Staff were nice to also provide take out boxes. Take down was fairly easy in comparison to setting up. They also didn't need us to breakdown all our balloons which was nice. They also let us use the trolley thing to transport our decor bc we were on the 4th floor. Closest restrooms were on 3rd floor. This is the Azalea room and I think we had around 40 ish guests (about 5 tables). This was the perfect size, we were able to play our music on our bluetooth speakers. read more

Did not have the best experience. We were in the Azalea room and it's was pathetically drab. No ambiance. We only saw our server when she brought out the tea and trays and when she was clearing it away. Never came back for refills on the tea and or to fill the milk for the tea. We could have just booked different tables in their main hall for $31 and got the ambiance and service, instead we paid the $31 for no ambiance, bad service and forever reason you lose a dessert bite, 2 instead of 3. Idk why groups have to be punished when it makes their job easier. We were only limited 3 teas for the table, but we could have gotten four separate tables in the main hall and any tea we wanted for the $31 read more

I hosted my sister's bridal shower for a group of 8 inside the Bridal suite. The food was good and tea was also delicious . We selected the spring jasmine , peach blossom, and earl grey. All the staff members were friendly during the planning phase and actual day of the event. I've been to about all of the high tea places in Orange County. I recently went here with four other babes for some girl time. My girlfriend made reservations about a month prior. We were able to get a 2pm reservation on a Sunday. Here are some pros and cons to this place: Pros: - The place is upstairs and there is plenty of space. Tables are pretty spread out. - Their Luncheon package was amazing. It came with your choice of tea, tier of croissant sandwiches, mini sandwiches, and fresh fruit. This package also includes fresh blueberry scones, and bite size desserts. I do have to say the food here was excellent. All the sandwiches were very good. The fresh scones were perfect and the desserts were the perfect ending. Even the fresh fruits were good. We had plenty of left overs to bring home. - Over 40 types of teas to choose from. - Plenty of cute hats to take photos. - Excellent service. The waitress was very nice and sweet. I saw them help set for large parties and even help customize it. They were really nice about taking our photos for us. - Plenty of parking. They have their own parking lot. - Pricing is pretty cheap compared to other tea houses. Cons: - Their menu package is limited compared to other tea houses. They have a wide variety of tea but there are only three set packages: Luncheon, Baby Shower, or their Bridal Shower package. All packages range from $19-$22 per person. - If you come in a party of 6 or more than you are limited to two types of tea - No sugar cute sugar cubes. Only sugar packets. - Like all tea places it is reservations only. It's located in a banquet. We were able to walk around and take photos. We were grateful they allowed us to do this. I had a really great time here and cannot wait to come back. read more

Super cute Tea room to "spill the tea" with your girlfriends. Would defiantly come back again. It's a bit pricy tho for such a petite meal. But I guess you're paying for the "experience" and the "photo ops". Our servers were very nice/friendly/helpful. We came on a Thursday around 1130 am as a walk-in and there was plenty of seating available. Be mindful that on weekends it seems that reservations are required. The location has plenty of parking and looked like they owned the entire building - which had bigger rooms for private parties/venues in addition to their small tea room for us commoners to just walk in. The building is on the older side which gives it an old town English charm I guess. All ages are welcome. This was a bestie meet up and we both brought our babies with us a 2 month old and a 11th month old. We came up using their elevator- & it fit us and our two strollers. Thankfully our little ones were well behaved/ quiet for the most part during our tea time to make our experience pleasant as well as our neighboring tea goers. The decoration/ambiance is super girly and elegant. Feeling like a Queen/princess. The table settings/ silverware are adorable. High quality floral tea sets and they sell them there too if you're interested as well as other small items. We ordered during their winter holiday special menu. Be advised The paper menus are not all up to date, my friend and I noticed that she had one more tea selection listed on her menu that wasn't listed on mine- not a huge deal but glad we noticed it cause it was a tea we ended up trying which was delicious! But they do have a QR menu you can scan on ur phone at the entrance of the tea room that had all the updated selections there. The two of us each ordered the Holiday High Tea selection that included tiny tea sandwiches, a scone with cream & Jam and mini desserts. Honestly it didn't fill us up, it was a VERY light lunch, food was nice however nothing super special tho, & don't come on an empty stomach- you will be hungry later. But we did enjoy the meal tho as simple as it was. The tea however was very very tasty! Brewed to perfection! We loved both our selections which was Ginger Peach tea (our server help recommended) and Blueberry Lavender tea (so cute this tea this came out blue). Both teas were delicious- luckily you can get free refills on the tea so fill up on tea to fulfill the cost of your meal if that concerns you. Overall, would recommend if you're looking to find a cute place to meet up/dress up with some friends or family to catch up with and enjoy some deliciously brewed tea and very light meal. :) read more

Did High Tea once again. The scones were huge, warm and delicious. The tea selection was above average. The service was excellent. The sandwiches were excellent and who could not love little tea desserts. We love doing "tea" it's been our thing for a very long time. We love that there is a place so close to home. Shelly and Gabby were most professional and efficient to work with. They respond to questions promptly throughout the process and attend to every detail we discussed. We had a surprise baby shower on the balcony/terrace, and everything was perfect. The scones were warm when brought out and the sandwiches were tasty. Service was great. I brought my Aunt here to celebrate her 89th birthday! I had no idea this place existed and would've driven right by the bank-type building, if it wasn't for my GPS. Inside is quite charming and we discovered that weddings and receptions are also held here. It is a bit pricey for tea, but I'd definitely come back for a special occasion! read more

I needed a place for my daughters bridal shower. A place that would do about everything. ( we provided the flowers) This was the place. It was so cute and quaint. The food was terrific! I had such a lovely experience at Spring Tea Garden. This place is such a hidden gem! It is a true Afternoon Tea parlor which is so hard to find especially at place where everyone can enjoy. They walk you through the whole experience and they have the cutest retail area with different teapots, tea cups and teas. The food was excellent and they have an assortment of different tea packages. The assorted sandwiches were so flavorful along with the mini assorted desserts! My favorite was the scone. Yum! Where do I even begin…read more Our wedding day is supposed to be the most cherished day of our lives. Instead, Springfield turned it into a masterclass in incompetence, broken promises, and stunning unprofessionalism, all while charging a premium price for what amounted to amateur hour. The audio situation: We were never told the venue's speaker setup was nonfunctional until the rehearsal. Had we not brought our own rolling speaker for the ceremony by sheer luck, our ceremony would have played out disastrously, with the music and the microphone output conflicting, coming out the same speaker. The upstairs mic and music speakers disconnected multiple times during the event as well. For a venue that takes your money without hesitation, working equipment should be the bare minimum. The missing groom's room: We were explicitly told the 4th floor would be available for the groom to use. The venue even said there would be champagne provided in the room. When I went to the room to change, there was another event happening and I was unable to get ready. I had no space to prepare and had to wait for the bride to finish changing in the bridal suite before I was able to change my suit, delaying the entire schedule. Unacceptable. Where was Shelly? By the time we sorely needed a coordinator, she had vanished. The cake cutting was late with no knife or plate ready past the scheduled time. The ballroom lighting wasn't set as planned and we had to get help from a different employee. Every time we sought help, we were passed between staff members with no answers and no authority. No designated coordinator, just Shelly, missing. The final insult: We lost a gift and a belonging of one of our guests. When a family member called to report it a couple days later once it was noticed, the staff member spoke back with slight laughter on the phone. We reached out multiple times and it took numerous methods of contact before we got a clear answer more than a day later that no items were recovered. Besides the slow response, the missing items were not the venue's fault. But, Shelly, for some reason, was severely offended that we had expressed any sadness at all regarding the missing gift and she made a retaliatory accusation implying our own friends and family had stolen them. Disgraceful. And this disrespectful and unnecessary accusation came immediately after she had apologized regarding how sorry she was about the level of service they had shown and how they had handled the event. The apology lasted a couple emails before it made us really reconsider whether it was sincere. The food was good. That is the only compliment this venue will receive from us. Everything else was a failure. Broken promises, absent coordination, and deeply disrespectful treatment when we dared to speak up. Future couples deserve so much better than this. Take your money elsewhere.

I was honestly disappointed with the service after reading other reviews. I came here to have a little birthday celebration with my friends. We were on the 5th floor/roof and our waitress expected us to know how to order, didn't recommend anything after asking her. Once we ordered she went m.i.a and never came back. I think the egg salad sandwich could have used a little more flavor. The scone was not like a traditional scone, the consistency was more like a muffin, but still very tasty. Overall it was a nice experience, I would definitely visit again. Pricing was pretty standard for most tea houses, street parking available.

While I can't speak to the quality of their events, I can speak to my experience as a potential customer, which was disappointing. I did noticed that we were not provided with milk or sugar for our teas like at other tea places, but I was fine with that because I normally drink my tea plain.
