The worst massage I got ever :( First of all the lady I think her name was Lilly cant even communicate in English. I went in around 11 for my 30 min Reflexology and 30 min body massage. I was asked to pay right away before the massage and the lady at the reception also cant communicate in English. Lilly started my reflexology which was very painful. She covered my face by saying Good night. After that I went in a separate room for my full body massage and she asked me to just take off my shirt so she didn't want to do leg massage. I asked her about taking off my jeans but she didn't understand, when Lilly started massage she covered my back with a sheet and started massaging on top of the sheet. I asked her if she is going to use oil or lotion, she didn't reply but started using some lotion. After sometime she was again massaging on top of sheet instead of my back. She was very aggressive and using a lot of pressure. Yesterday and today my whole body is in unbearable pain. I will never go back there. At the very least, I expect a refund of my money - $58 plus tip read more

I went in for a hour body massage and 10 minutes into it I reduce it to 30 mins. They don't use oils to massage you. They cover you with a sheet and massage you like that. This is painful for two reasons; reason one - pulls on the skin; reason two - yanks on your body hair. They really need to rethink if they want to continue to massage people this way. I took my two daughters (19 and 16) here. The service was excellent! The quality of the reflexology was at least that of expensive spas in which I've had the same service many times. At the beginning of the service while our feet were soaking, we received arm and leg massages, and at the end, shoulder massages. The chairs were comfy, we were provided with towels, pillows and eye masks. The place was clean. I'll be going back. Probably next week! read more

I came here based on the reviews on yelp and both me & my spouse had terrible full body massages! I am a health practitioner myself, but I'm also very open-minded about different massage techniques and I can handle deep pressure massages. The male who did my massage was using his elbow in my spine, not to the side, not on the tight muscles, but directly into my spine. My first inclination was this guy is clueless and doesn't know his anatomy, but then I thought, maybe this is a different technique, I'll go with it - despite knowing that you should never put direct pressure in the spine especially for sustained periods of time with your elbow of all things! As the massage became more painful I said something, but he continued on and did not change his pressure. He used that same pressure w/ his elbow down my legs and into my shoulders, again I told him that it was too painful, no change. My spouse had the same experience and felt that his shoulder was almost pulled out of socket. It has been 2 days and I feel bruised up and down my spine as well as my shoulder. I honestly feel like I was in a car accident and will likely see my chiropractor b/c of this. My husband feels like he needs another massage from somewhere else to fix what happened at this place. One of the biggest problems with massage in NJ is that it's not difficult to get a license, but there are people who are properly trained and those that are not. I am ok w/ no frills, I go for massages occasionally, but am always checking reviews. This was definitely not worth the money we paid for and my ENTIRE SPINE has never hurt so much. read more

I've been here 4 times so I think I have a sense of how things work. While there are things I like about this place (good prices, clean rooms, staff is very respectful of the body and privacy draping), there are also a number things that I do not like. Firstly, I usually have anywhere from 2 to 5 days of extreme soreness after a massage from here. The first time it happened, I googled whether or not it was normal to feel so sore after a massage. I had never experienced this before... I am no massage expert, I probably get one four times a year, but I never remember feeling like this after massages from other places. Some websites suggested that it was normal. However, in time I realize that the kind of soreness I experience after going here is different than other massage spas. It is an uncomfortable, bruising soreness that makes me worry about whether they know what they're doing. I feel more injured and beat up than I would expect to feel, particularly since I massage for relaxation and not any particular body issues. The soreness is also there after multiple requests for lighter pressure, so I never get out unscathed. Also, when I got my last massage the woman kept pausing to do other things. She would run to the front for 30 seconds to a minute and then run back, mid massage. Obviously, this is unsettling and disturbs the process. Next, I am truly confused as to why they massage over sheets. Does this mean that they don't have the appropriate licenses to massage normally? While I don't mind the sheets sometimes, other times it creates an uncomfortable abrasive feel and you don't feel like you are really getting the full benefits of massage. Also, as another yelper has mentioned i'm not fully comfortable with the work around the spine. The following day my spine area was incredibly bruised... I also have bruising on my feet. read more

Purchased a groupon for 30 min massage and 30 minute foot reflexology on Groupon for $53.50, which was advertised as a $110 value. Made an appointment and went in and they said I had to pay $4 tax. I refused, so they refused my voucher. I called groupon, they said they are not allowed to do that and groupon refunded my money and will contact the merchant and take acion. The price sheet in the shop for these 2 services is $65, not the $110 they make it seem on groupons' sight. read more

When you walk in it is laid back, completely quiet (other than chill Asian music) and everytime I come I truly believe my blood pressure lowers from the immediate relaxation felt upon entering this impeccable spa. Eight individual big plush chairs are in plain view (complete with freshly cleaned towels, pillows for your neck and back, & the ability to set the chair as far back as each individual prefers. Additionally, they offer four more private massage rooms as well. It is cleaner than any spa I have seen in Northern NJ. You are greeted by a lovely girl, Coco, and three workers appear inside. Personally, I absolutely love LEO! I have requested him on my second and third visits as well. Each time I am as impressed and relaxed as before!! Just got back from this place. It is by far, the cleanest place I have ever walked into, very neat and quiet. Got a 45 min foot rub which was perfect for me. The masseuse, finished up with a gentle neck and back massage which led me to ask for an extra 30 min back massage. Terrific job, my headache and back pain vanished in seconds and I feel really good. Amazing place!!!!! I stumbled upon this great hidden gem one night looking for a relaxing full body massage to release a little of tension in my back. My friend opted for the reflexology. The staff was awesome! Our therapists were extremely professional, the receptionist was very accommodating and very lovely to speak on the phone. This place is a small slice of heaven, found in a tiny strip mall off of Eagle Rock in the hamlet of West Orange. I cannot say enough about how relaxed I feel every time I am lucky enough to pay Spring Reflexology a visit. A visit with Richard is a treat you owe yourself. He goes deep (very deep) with what feels like a combination of sports massage, deep tissue, reflexology, reiki, and shiatsu. Every time I am worked on by him (those words are intentionally chosen), he knows intuitively right where to go. A massage with Richard is always personal (I never feel like he's performing a routine that he does for everyone). It pushes you to your limit, and then just past it. He is intense, but you are left feeling like a mound of bread dough that has been kneaded, rolled, pulled, and stretched. The complimentary bottle of water is just what your body needs after releasing so much tension. The price is extremely affordable, the ambiance is serene and soothing. Private rooms are available in addition to the main reflexology room, with rows of seats. What may come across as basic in decor is more than made up for by the quality of service. Now it isn't for relaxation like other high end massage parlors but it surely is great massage. My back ache went away and I felt so relieved. Get in here! You must try this spot while the grand opening promotions are still being offered! I used the 60 min foot reflexology today for $35 (minus tax and tip). I walked in at 11a on a Saturday and was the only person in such a large facility. The word hasn't spread yet... But this combines the former Foot Spa and Tea place in Verona with the Chinese massage kiosks at the malls. It's very clean (no weird smells) and the staff is friendly; the service is no frills (no flower petals in the wash or any aromatherapy) BUT deep in quality. I couldn't stop my brain from running while my reflexologist worked my left side but come the right side, I was in and out of sleep! My goal coming in was relaxation and I got total relaxation, for real! Lastly, I was so grateful for the 5-10 min deep shoulder massage at the end. They really understand the muscles of the body and found all my knots so precisely! Love having such a great place in the neighborhood.
