I'm not from around this area and I really wanted some bbq. This looked like the perfect place to go. I pulled into the parking lot and it was a ghost town, hind sight is definitely 20-20 for this one. There's was no one else because the food and drinks were absolutely awful if I could rate this 0 stars I 100% would. The meat had a very funky taste to it, they only allowed me to order one side when my meal came with two. The sweet tea was complete garbage. Northerners can make better sweet tea than they had, like really you're a southern establishment and cannot brew a good pot of tea, that is horrendous. The food was definitely not worth what we paid. For 2 people is was $43 and some change. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. Listen to the other reviews when they say this place is definitely not worth the stop in. read more

There is better BBQ in Stephenville, in Cresson and in Benbrook. Unfortunately not a lot to pick from in Granbury. The brisket is dry, the sauce is nothing special, the fries are average and the prices are high. People are very nice read more

Well I must say this was the worst place I been to since I have been here!! I was jealous that my husband was getting BBQ for dinner tonight from the job so I went on a mission for some good ole Texas BBQ and all I got was the shaft!!!!!!!! I went in and saw they sold by the pound or they had dinner plates well I thought I would get the combo plate to taste it all and this is what I got 2 slices of turkey about the side of a dollar bill folded in half 3 slices of brisket the size of a dollar folded twice now grant you both were about as thick as the knife that sliced them and 2 ribs the size of my middle finger that all together didnt weigh a quarter of a pound and in another box a bunch of fries! Now my beef OH WAIT WHAT BEEF?? is why do I pay 13.25 for a quarter pd of meat and fries when the max of the meat is 13.85 a pd and a basket of fries is 3.85 I would have been better off buying it by the pd and 3.85 for the fries! THEN to top it off when I brought it to the cashiers attention he looked at it wrapped it up and handed it to me like OH WELL IT IS WHAT IT IS!!!!! GRRRRRRR So I am so pissed by this time I call the store manager while I am driving the 15 miles back to my hotel and he blows it off too! UNTIL I asked for his corporate's number then he says I did not give him a chance to fix it!!!!! Are you kidding me???? I gave them a chance when I told the cashier in the first place!!!! NOW I UNDERSTAND WHY SIEMANS GETS THEIR BBQ FROM DICKEYS!!! Oh and to top it all off it wasnt even that good!!!!! I am one unhappy girl!!!! read more

I'm not sure why people eat here when the Rib Shack is right up the road. I don't know about other Spring Creek's in the metroplex, but I have never had a really satisfying meal here (eaten twice). I can see why it appeals to families, as it's served buffet style and thus easy to get in and out. But you're in TX. You expect good brisket. Enough said. read more

SpringCreek is a good place to go if you need to get in and get out. The food is already prepared and it's served buffet style. The ribs and smoked turkey are the best meats. My girls usually share a sausage plate and it is more than enough for the two of them! They also offer pepper sausage and it is a nice change from just plain. They bake their rolls fresh and pass them out hot straight from the oven! They do a lot of spirit nights for my daughters school and we definitely appreciate them being community oriented. read more

The staff has always been nice and ribs are ok but was really craving brisket after eating it at Risckys Saturday night, I bought a pound from spring creek since we obviously don't have Risckys in Granbury and promptly returned it, I doubt my dog would eat that. Very dry, no flavor, yuck! If you want some real bbq try Risckys! read more

Had ribs tonight, they are usually very lean and good, but they were kind of tough and fatty and the sauce had a strange flavor. Also had a salad that was strange tasting, left it. My wife had the same and we both agree on the review. They use to serve excellent ribs and the salad was always good. I don't know why we had such a bad experience. They always had the best ribs in all of Granbury, we will give them one more try in a few weeks before we totally right them off. read more

It was alright. I got the Rib Basket Dinner which was.... alright. The ribs were a bit dry, which was kinda nasty. Everything else tasted good though, and their peach tea was for sure quite yummy. Another flaw was that they have a damn fan in front the TV close to our table. Which sucked, because my Dad and I were trying to watch the Ranger game. Waitresses did come around often and hook us up with more rolls which was definitely a plus. Overall, decent. read more

OK, so I am usually not a huge fan of chain restaurants, especially when it comes to cuisine that the locals have down pat, but every so often I make an exception. And Spring Creek is one of those exceptions. Located right in the middle of Granbury on Hwy 377, Spring Creek is one of the newer restaurants that, in the relatively short time it has been open, has become really popular with both locals and visitors alike. And it's for a simple reason - the bbq is actually really good. Perfectly smoked brisket, juicy sausage, and falling-off-the bone ribs are just three reasons to give Spring Creek a try. A few others are the creamy mac-n-cheese, the cole slaw, the hot rolls, the exquisitely crispy french fries and the ice - and I do mean ICE - cold drinks. As with most places in this cool little city, the atmosphere is relaxed and service is friendly...although I will admit I am glad the guys behind the counter no longer sing your order out loud. My wife and I eat at Spring Creek about once a month , the food is always very good . I love the chopped beef platter , my wife favors the pepper sausage . Always Great service and we've never had any complaints . Keep cooking it up Spring Creek ! You guys are Awesome ! read more

Had a group of 20 there on July 31 - 12:40 P.M. We ate in the back room where we could pull a long table for this size group. The food was O.K. but the back room is filthy. Cobwebs in all four corners of the room, smudges on the doors, and the return air intake was covered in dust. I usually don't comment on Yelp, but in this case, I did email Spring Creek Barbeque and brought the above to their attention. Did not hear a word - so I'll say it again here. I've eaten better BBQ else ware and my husband hates the way they skimp on the meat portions....when your ordering a 3 meat combo, for which you are charged considerably more. The all you can eat rolls are amazing, and you can order unlimited sides, of which there are plenty to choose from. read more

All things considered it sucked! The ribs were O.K but not particularily meaty with the cooked on sauce being unremarkable. Additional sauce was something you put on with a scoop (after the meat is cooked), Not in anyway noteworthy! The corn on the cob was not sweet, Overcooked and mushy with no 'crispiness'. The beans were nothing special. Could have been improved with the addition of some meat and maybe a different sauce. The green beans were O.K (probably the best part of the vegetables). The potato salad was crap. Actually tasted bad with some weird flavor like it had been sitting around for a few days. My friend had the peach cobbler with ice cream (horrible), ( I didn't fall for this scam). He was very disappointed as it was about a half inch thick with no peaches save a few tiny pieces ( approx. 1/8 inch in thickness).How could they serve this crap. The only good was the brisket that was tender and delicious though this is not enough to save this place from there deserved rating of a single star.
