Bought a used tent trailer a few years ago from what used to be Sprads but is now Blue compass. At the time it was a little unorganized but figured it was because the company was switching over. After dewingerizing few weeks later we found some issues, blue compass fixed the issues but also tore the canvas while closing up the trailer. Fast forward to today. Once again we are having the exact same issues with the trailer, we purchase the extended warranty so our trailer is again down at blue compass. It has been There for a month. When I called to check on it after 3 weeks they said they forgot to work on it and would get right to it, it has been another week and still no word. Just an initial look into the RV world. No purchasing at this time. Ben greeted us immediately and we told him the size of trailer we are interested in and what we could haul. Inventory is really low and going quick these days so he only had about 4 to show us. He was funny, friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. Not really knowing a lot about the rv world, he gave me lots of tips and tricks for what to look for and also what some of the additional costs could be. Well, we did it. We traded in our 19' camper fora 30' 5th wheel. We did a ton of research - brands, pros/cons, reputation, dealers, multiple feedback streams, etc... As with most camper owners, we thought we didn't need anything big. In 2018, we bought a pop-up. I mean, it had a mattress heater. After a year of cranking it up/down at each stop, we'd had enough. We upgraded in 2020 to a hard side camper (the aforementioned 19'er) that had a wet room. This was ideal for two reasons. First, we could use our own toilet on long distance trips and use our own shower, albeit tiny, when the campground facilities weren't all that. Second, the first point became fierce reality when the pandemic $hit hit the fan. We were so glad we were self-contained. After a year of less than 6' of square footage to dance around (cook, eat, feed the dog, stand), we knew we wanted more space, a walk-around bed, and a defined eating area. Enter Sprad's RV. As I mentioned, we researched for months on the type of rig we wanted and the reputation of dealers. We settled in Grand Design as our maker of choice, and Sprad's RV is the local dealer with the most GDs on site. GD is meticulous in choosing its preferred dealers, and so are we. They could get the rig we wanted (ordered with a 3 month lead time due to demand) and they offered a fair deal on our trade. I listed it for sale myself, but found their trade offer was equivalent to other offers I received and I wouldn't have to deal with potential fraud shenanigans. Done! We just received it this week and had a 1.5 hour overview in all the inner workings. And we found out Sprad's RV is being purchased by Lazy Days RV. This is huge because Lazy Days doesn't buy.everyone. They buy local dealers who already have an impressive reputation within their community. For us, it brings peace of mind knowing we can go to other Lazy Days dealers around the nation when on the road. Do yourself a favor - go to a dealer that respects you and won't pull the wool over your eyes or slip shenanigans into the mix - yes, I'm pointing a finger at a well-known nation-wide brand on Virginia with the initials CW. The deal closer, just as friendly and affable as the salesman, emphasized what great service Sprads offered now that they were under new ownership. We were told that by buying the extra coverage, we'd be at the head of the queue if we ever needed service. If they had the Brooklyn Bridge, they'd try to sell it to us. No one answers the service phone. we have called, texted and emailed repeatedly, but only robo-replies. I'm a full time RVer for 5 years. When you buy an RV, at some point you will need servicing. Just try calling Sprads and press #3 for service. They WON'T answer! The voicemail says to leave a message and allow 24-48 for a response. I waited 7 days (5 business days) and tried again, waited another 7 days. I have used many RV dealers and have asked some since. Not 1 has a 48 hour policy. Maybe it was because it was recall work, but to date almost a month later, nobody has called me back. I emailed the servicing manager requesting to speak to the real manager and nothing. Try it yourself, and the general manager is not there because he manages several dealerships according to a sales rep. A good service dept is arguably the most important aspect of a dealership and this is by far the worst I've seen! read more

My husband and I have recently decided to purchase an RV. We are in the beginning stages of research and our first stop was Sprads. We had the pleasure of working with Wes. I think we looked at 15 different RVs. Wes was super friendly and knowledgeable. He was very cool with taking us 12 different times to the RV we ended up purchasing and didn't make us feel like a pain when we couldn't decide which RV we wanted. They crunched all the numbers for us so we knew exactly what we were looking at monthly payment wise. The sales manager Terry is awesome as well. They worked with us for almost half the day on Sunday and right before they closed on Saturday. They are extremely thorough with their process. The worst service department that I have ever encounter. Purchased a brand new fifth wheel and taking it out on an initial run only to find out the water heater didn't work and the trailer was not wi-fi ready. Called Sprads Service department and an appoint was made for a Tuesday and now a week later the service department hasn't even looked at it. This 5th wheel is only 4 weeks since purchased. These are items that the service department is suppose to check before releasing it to the customer. We were suppose to be leaving on our full-time RV living but alas still waiting. First off, this isn't my first time buying a trailer. This is my first time buying one from Sprads. I wouldn't say I'm disappointed, I'd say I'm disgusted with the number of issues I have had with my purchase and it's only been a week with my trailer. Day of pick up was a cluster, they had one manager on duty to assist us and off the bat you could tell he was already over his head. Upon our pick up inspection there were various cosmetic defects...some of which were addressed others that could not be addressed. When a manager was reached to via phone call to determine how the unaddressed would be dealt with (he was off duty) we were belittled and told that we would only receive $100 off our purchase for a 6" scratch in the tint of one of the windows. That was then changed to $250 after the manager on duty described the caliber of the scratch. One of the issues noted by our inspector was that we could not test the water heater, this was brought up but not addressed because of the juggling of communication between us, the manger off duty, the manager on duty, the inspector and service dept. after all was said and done, 4 hours later we finally left the lot. Day 1 (same day as purchase) we had trouble with our water heater, we could not get it to start. I took every avenue possible to trouble shoot it and still nothing was clicking. Along with running the water, we found antifreeze still in the lines. This was something we expected to have been flushed throughly as a part of the pre-delivery inspection we paid about $800 for. We were ticked! At night, my wife went to plug in her phone to charge and to no avail the outlet was not working. Day 2 my wife calls about the water heater and is actually on FaceTime with one of the managers who attempts to help her troubleshoot the issue. Long story short they conclude the water heater is broken and that WE need to get ahold of the 24 hour roadside assistance company to help!!! Terry also stated that "if we weren't so worried about a scratch in the tint, we would've caught the water heater issue." So, oh I'm sorry Terry, I thought by paying $800+ for a PDI that YOU would've caught this first. ‍‍‍ At this point we are both appalled, we should not have to use a service provider a day after leaving a dealer with a new product that was supposably "inspected." The service provider even mentioned this! After a day full of phone calls back and forth to Sprads they finally sent someone to replace the water heater conveniently at the time that my wife has to leave to pick up our daughter from school. No phone call with a heads up or anything they just arrive. I myself follow up later, while I'm at work with a phone call requesting an invoice and/itemized checklist with what is actually inspected in this so called "pre delivery inspection" they conducted...7 days later I still have not received anything. Mind you I have been working 12 hour shifts for three days and my wife has had to deal with all this alone. Day 3, 4, 5 We have had to put up with an outlet that doesn't function and has been buzzing non stop since day 1. This has been brought to their attention and we have been asked to create a list of things we would like repaired. Along with the outlet our door does not open or shut u less you slam it. Not ideal. On day 6 my wife goes into sprads to purchase a device to hook up our internet...why was I not surprised find out when I got home from work that the trailer is not "internet ready" as they stated? They made it seem that it was going to be soooo easy since the trailer was equipped and ready to go...we ended up having to call an electrician to actually "get it ready" more money out of our pockets to cover something sprads claimed was checked per PDI. Day 7 my wife will most likely be on the phone all day trying to figure out the internet and why sprads let us purchase a device that won't let us register it because the serial number already belongs to another person. This has been the worse purchase experience we have ever had. We bought our first trailer from a private party and that went smoother than this is going. read more

Dropped off my 5th Wheel trailer for a slide out repair. I tried to fix it myself, but made it worse. I was expecting them to have to rebuild the entire hydraulic slide mechanism. I was expecting a huge bill, but a few days later they called me up and said it was all fixed and it was! They could've charge me a lot more than what they did. Believe the bad reviews. The only reason we bought from Sprad's is they were the only dealer in Reno that sold Lance in 2018 and, after a visit to their business, we were told any warranty service would be delayed if the trailer wasn't purchased from their lot. We ended up purchasing the trailer from them (once they sent the trailer back to the manufacture to correct front cap delamination) but, later, most of the mechanical problems we encountered were not corrected as the service department claimed they could not "replicate" the issues. They did, though, charge extra for their time. We eventually hired a wonderful RV mobile service to help and all was corrected, no thanks to Sprad's. Sprad's also offered a "Warranty for Life" program that insured we'd have major coverage for the life of our trailer as long as we had a "warranty check" yearly. This offer was guaranteed at $99 per year for the first five years. On our fourth year we were charged over $300 for the check and was told the new owner didn't want to continue with this option. Past owner, Laura West, was awful to folks that had negative experiences and wasn't interested in making her customers happy, so we decided not to complain publicly. New owners just don't care about anything but sales and refuse to honor the $99 warranty check contract. We do not recommend this business. read more

We bought our first trailer here this spring. Salesmen were not pushy, let us look in every trailer we wanted. No pressure. No problems with the loan or paperwork. Everything was very fluid and seamless. We even had a couple issue with the new trailer. We got them fixed in 48 hours. Not sure what more we could ask for. We had specific technical questions about inverters, which they knew the answers to. We would go here again, and I would trust them for service and custom Update: Just had a few more dealings with their service department. I couldnt even give them advice to make it any better?? We purchased Reflection 31 MB from Sprads 1 year ago, we have only been able to camp with it once. These campers are supposed to be made with the highest quality but as with most new campers we had issues, the largest problem being that the motor for the slide in the kitchen is not functioning properly making it impossible to use. It took us months to get an appointment to have it serviced, we couldn't make the first appointment due to a massive snow storm. At this point they have had our camper for over a month, we have made calls to inquire when the work will be done with no response and we are at our wits end with it being June we actually went to start using our camper. We are not sure what to do at this point. I would advise you if you are looking to buy an RV DO NOT purchase it from Sprads! read more

Avoid at all costs! My wife and I decided to get an RV. We went to Sprads because they had a style we liked in stock. It was one of the larger ones with 4 beds in the back, perfect for our family of 6. We made the deposit on the RV and were told to contact them if we had questions, to coordinate to pick it up, etc. My wife and I still needed to get a couple necessities before we could tow it home (stabilizing hitch as well as figure out which vehicle we were going to use as the "tow" vehicle). Over the course of the next two weeks we called repeatedly asking for information and were routinely ignored. Either the person was out to lunch, or we would get a call/email by X day, etc. Keep in mind we were customers trying to buy a trailer. Not complaining, not looking for anything free. Just wanted info about the trailer (weight, VIN for insurance, etc). We were never told it would be an issue or they couldn't for whatever reason. It was always "Sure, I'll have it to you by ____" or we couldn't reach the finance manager. And when those deadlines hit we were never given a reason or let us know they needed more time. They just ignored us. After two weeks we were done. If they are going to treat us like that as potential customers, how would it be if we actually needed something repaired? BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!! Purchased a Used Fifth Wheel Travel Trailer on 11/17/23. I will admit I had every opportunity to walk away from this sale with the loss of a $1500 deposit that the dealership said was non refundable, the deposit was made against my better judgement. First inspection of the RV after deposit was made over the phone showed multiple flaws with the unit and I was willing to allow the dealership to make the necessary repairs before pickup date. On the pickup date our inspection showed the repairs were not completed as promised and our deposit was at risk of loss if we did not allow them to try and make the necessary repairs on the pickup day. The walkthrough technician was extremely frustrated with my requests and continually slammed the plastic refrigerator door and told me to use "Man Strength" if I wanted it closed, it was clearly broken. This experience was terrible and a show of poor customer service. After all day in the dealership we opted to take the unit as it was as to not forfeit our deposit. Fast forward 24 hours and the problems started to show face. Stereo not working for more than 5 minutes, Hot Water Heater not working after Tech De-Winterized the unit, Refrigerator making loud sounds, and the worst was the faulty landing gear collapsing and causing major damage to the RV. After multiple phone calls and emails I was eventually told these problems were all mine and the dealership wanted nothing to do with assisting in any of the problems that arose, they did offer to give a quote to fix the damage done by their faulty RV. As it stands this RV is currently stuck on the back of my truck and can not be removed as the landing gear is completely broken. As a buyer I would be cautioned against doing business with this company as their values are clearly those of profit and nothing more. Mark my words, you WILL REGRET purchasing anything from this company and they will not stand behind anything they promise. You have been warned. read more

I purchased a Grand Design Reflection 303RLS from Sprad's RV and I'm super happy with my purchase experience AND excellent Service. I chose Sprad's RV over other RV dealerships because I felt like Sprad's treated me more like family and less like a checkbook. If you are looking hard for a Grand Design, you'll notice there is a short list of dealerships near Reno, or Silicon Valley in general. Do your research - go interact with their sales and service department and look at their reviews. My sales interaction was great and I just had my first real issue with my RV and Sprad's RV impressed me again because they addressed my issue in one day's time so I could get back on the road again. Made an appointment for repair service 3 weeks before....then to find out that the scheduled appointment is only to "drop" it off. Approximately 2 weeks before they can even look" at it!! Appointment was for service...not just to drop off....this was not explained!! We were not expecting to "wait" while it was serviced....as long as the rv was actually looked at, assessed and not just there to park for 2 weeks until a real service appointment was performed. They contacted us. But still would not honor a true service appointment. They need to ke8arn how to schedule real service appointment times....even within a few days is acceptable. Our experience with Sprads was definitely different than the last 2 Rv's we puchased. I had neer been to Sprads before and I didnt know anyone there even though I have lived in Reno since 1979. I was reluctant to talk to any salesman because of past with other RV dealers,so I kind of walked out and let my wife deal with them on the first day I did return back the next day and had bryan show me again the camper my wife was looking at. It was a great deal and we talked about my trade in value. They gave me more than I thought they would. Thank you Casey. I went to Sprad's on a recommendation of a friend. I wanted a trailer to travel to another area to look for better job opportunities. Instead of working with me on a new trailer, they sold me a used 2014 Forest River Gray Wolf that had many issues they did not disclose. It was a trade in they did not bother toi vet. They treated me as if they were doing me a favor, overcharging me by what turned out to be close to $10K; they told me they would repair (have a repairman come to me since I did not live in Reno), which did not occur. I purchased the trailer 4/30/22, took it straight to an RV park to put it through its paces before hitting the road and discovered all kinds or problems. The most serious was the wiring harness inlet was shorting out which caused the air conditioner to catch fire at night, in the heat of July, three months after I bought it! They lied about repair work, they overcharged my insurance company (that wanted to total it! whereby I would lose all my down payment) and now my insurance company is dropping me! They made money off the fraud sale, a kickback from the financing and extended warranty, and even more off the fixing of the AC which was their fault. This is a Bad Business WARNING! Our partner bought a Toy hauler style RV from Sprad's RV on South Virginia Street in Reno. It was purchased for temporary housing for an employee on a very rural property located approximately 250 miles from Reno. He paid them the full amount of over $26,000.00 that day. They claimed that everything was in good working order and had all been checked out. Included in the purchase price was delivery approximately half way on May 23rd. They claimed it would take them that long to get it out of the lot and deliver it. After that date came and went our partner made an appointment to pick it up on the 31st of May. Even that they couldn't do right. They wasted several hours of his time before they could get around to getting it out for him. They didn't reimburse him any money for their failure to deliver. On June 1st it was set up on a rural ranch in the high desert and the water tank was filled. The water flowed, all over the floor and out through multiple places. Broken pipe in wall behind shower. And for icing on the cake the main electric switch also does not work. So it really is basically no different than staying in a stock trailer. No water, no power. So once again at our expense we took it back to them to fix. 250 miles one way. The guy, Terry, the sales managers words were. "24hrs notice when it will arrive and they would get right on and get it fixed". With notice, they got it June 8th. Fred calls the service dept almost every other day. It is always lip service. "Haven't got to it yet." "We will have to call you back." " Call in next week, we should have an estimate of when we will have it done". Well over a month since this business, Sprad's RV, willfully took our partners money on a defective product. Well over a month that the employee is still camping in his stock trailer. During this time it has froze 3 or 4 early mornings. The wind has been blowing hard and steady a lot this spring. It isn't pleasant. Oh and did I mention that the sales manager, Terry, won't answer his phone when Fred asks to be transfered to him. read more
