Had to make an account specifically to address the horrific wait times that I have continually experienced here. I absolutely love the food, but the wait time, especially in the drive-thru, is making me reconsider coming here ever again. The last two times I have been through the drive-thru I have received no response over the speaker and have resorted to calling the cafe to ask if they are open, only to receive the lame excuse that their headsets weren't working. However, right after the call, the headsets mysteriously work again! As I'm typing this, I'm sitting at the window after waiting 10 minutes to place my order while the employees are experiencing extended wait times due to the long inside line of one person. To management, please recognize and rectify this issue. Either hire more workers, more competent workers, or some combination of the two. read more

The girl at the register talked me into getting some type of tea. I was still hesitant but decided to get it after she said "try it, see if you like it". Well, I didn't like it. Decided to go back to the register and asked her if I could get green tea. Her response, yes but you still have to pay for it. Huh? You forced me to "try" something that I didn't like. Nice place to come and study, plenty of parking. I got the Moroccan mint tea and my boyfriend got a coffee. We went on a Saturday night and they had live music from 7-9 pm. What a nice treat! Didn't seem as crowded as the other locations around town. read more

The first time I went to spot was when they first opened on Transit. Their service was okay but their coffee tasted great!!! I had been going to Spot every week and their coffee (even their iced coffee) started tasting horrible and bitter and different everytime a different employee made it. The service is horrible about 90% of the time. read more

Let me start by saying I've been going to Spot coffee for almost 4 years now. I spent 3 to 4 days a week there for awhile. Needless to say, I've been in every Spot coffee since I discovered their Elmwood location (which is awesome by the way, go there, not here.) I have family out in Williamsville so when I realized last summer that there was a location on Transit road I was thrilled. Over the past 7 months I've made it a staple of my week. The entire staff knew my name and when I walked in immediately began making my drink. I thoroughly enjoyed most everything about this Spot location (the only thing I didn't enjoy is I had to drive 30 minutes each time I went there.) A little less than a month ago the manager who made me feel like a regular was let go and many of the employees who had become friends began to leave as well. I was informed by one of the employees before they quit that the company had changed many of its policies and was no longer a good company to work for. I understand that places like this change their staffing. I was confident that I would be able to foster the same friendships that I had with the outgoing staff. I was wrong. The new staff seems uninterested in forming any sort of lasting relationship with their customers. When I tried to explain the drink the old manager made for me to one of the new staff he simply said, "Are you serious right now?" I believe he was the assistant manager. I have heard employees yelling at other employees while customers were in the store, this is very uncomfortable to witness. I have been belittled by the kitchen staff for both the amount I ordered and what the order consisted of. I have never been treated in such an appalling way by a company. I should point out that I have given this location the benefit of the doubt multiple times, everybody has a bad day now and then. It seems as though the atmosphere new management has fostered is that of belittlement and disrespect. I will not be returning to this or any other location as the experiences I have had over the past 2 weeks have completely turned me off from this company. Starbucks coffee is better anyways. read more

Visited this new Spot with a friend for breakfast - delicious! My barrista helped me pick out a coffee just by me telling her the flavors I like. I had the breakfast panini that was hot and delicious. Nice comfy chairs. It did cost me about $11.00 for a panini and coffee and I think that is a little much as it is cafeteria style. read more

Don't tell Starbucks but I like Spot's drip better. Once in awhile I'll get a chocolate croissant but I typically stick to straight black coffee. I did have one of their smoothies/blended beverages... it was quote good. Not too sweet, tart and tasty. I wish they had a reward program like Starbucks. read more

Came here for a quick fix and ordered a grande soy latte. Long wait due to long line but got my latte and took a sip only to realize it's a regular latte. Confirmed with barista and she apologized cause it was the order she received. She was willing to make me another but I didn't want to make a fuss and said its fine. Sat down to half enjoy what I have. Well lo and behold barista came over with a soy latte and literally begged me to take it. What a service!! Anna you made my day!! read more

3 strikes you are out! I am familiar with SPOT COFFEE on Elmwood and like it very much. However the transit location is not good. Frist time, I knew they had had a big order before mine. I waited patiently. After 30 minutes, I approached the register. My order hadn't gone in. The manager at the time was at a table talking to a pal the whole time. I could see they were short staffed. Finally my breakfast sandwich came out. It was burnt black. I pulled the manager away from his friend and asked him if he would eat it. He looked at me as though I was crazy. I said it is burnt to a crisp. I found out that there was only one cook and she looked beat. He offered me a Latte and to re-place my order-good business but I had been there 45 minutes and could not wait any longer. The coffee I had while waiting was old and bitter. Second visit The coffee was old and bitter. I asked for a fresh cup (it is a coffee shop after all) I was looked at as though I was a major inconvenience Today: I couldn't find my keys. I looked everywhere. I went up to the register and asked. A blank stare greeted me. I saw them next to the barista's hand. There they are I said. I asked her why didn't you come to give them to me when you saw them. Blank stare. I spent 15 minutes in a cold sweat looking for them. No apologies. The coffee was bitter and old as well. Today was my last time patronizing Transit Road SPOT COFFEE. I am done with blank stares, bad coffee, and no service worth the visit. read more

I have been coming to this Spot coffee location for a little over a year now, and even though I live closer to the Main Street location I will always choose transit road! Not only is my chai latte always delicious, but certain staff members are always there to make sure my experience is great. Shannon has been working there since I have been going, and she always makes my day a little better. Whether its 6 in the morning or 9 at night, she always has a smile on her face. It seems like she is there every time I am no matter the time of day. I'm convinced she must run this place since the times I have asked for a manager, there is never anybody there! It is people like her that keep me from going to Starbucks , even when it might be more convenient.. Great job!!! read more

DRIVE THRU!!! SO happy that this Spot Coffee now has a drive thru. The service was fast and friendly. My caramel macchiato was delicious too! I will be hitting this drive thru up often on my way to work! read more

I will give Spot coffee 0 star if Yelp offers this option. I ordered $8.25 waffle with fruit, but The cashier told me they ran out of fruit so I chose the $6.25 regular waffle with butter. But the cashier still charged me 8.25 dollar. I asked her to print out the receipt, she told me the register cannot print receipt. I asked the assistant manager to do it, he printed out my receipt in two seconds. Then I asked him why she charged me 2 dollars more for regular waffle. He did not answer my question, instead he told me that the waffles machine is not working so the order has to be cancelled. No apologize for all the inconveniences I went through. And they are not honest or feel bad for overcharging me! This will be the last time I come to spot coffee read more

I would have given it a higher review had I not had the japanese iced coffee it is without a doubt the worst tasting concoction I have ever had, the aftertaste lingered even after I washed it out with another iced coffee from Tim Horton's . I would have appreciated being told I was being given that crap rather than one of their regular coffees. It doesn't even taste like coffee more like bad weak tea. read more

Worst costumer service. I came to get food, was planing on getting a burger and a chai latte. First of all the system was down, so I could only get whatever exact change I could cover (which I can understand that stuff happens) So i bought one small chai latte. The guy at the cash register told me to sit and wait for my name to be called. After literally 15 minutes waiting I stood up to see what was going on. To my surprise, two people that came after me had already been served food and drinks, when I asked the guy why they had skipped my order he said he apologize and to sit and wait for my name to be called, to which I said no, I have already done that and I need my drink to be done before you proceed with other orders, he said he didn't make drinks and I had to wait for the lady that make drinks to be done, I walked up to the lady and kindly said excuse me but I've been waiting for a drink and you are doing a pizza for a guy that came AFTER me. Then a guy that was next to her came over and fixed my small chai tea in less than a minute, so why couldn't they just make my drink when I ordered it? Why they kept ignoring me and started making food for people that came after me? Why did they all were bothered when I simply asked for a small drink that I had already paid for? I FELT DISCRIMINATED because I am a minority, I don't really see any other reason as to why I was treated different than the rest of the people. I had never felt this way before at any spot coffee I have visited. This location was a total let down, I walked in ready to spend +$15 and instead I could only get a small chai tea and a really bad experience. Your team should be better at customer service. The guy at the register, short hair, was a total arrogant person. You have lost my business and I will make sure my friends and family know about this bad experience. read more

I have been going to the Spot coffee on Transit Rd. in Clarence since it opened. Over the years it has had its ups and downs, but I always stuck to going to this one because the people were always friendly and open to suggestions. It was really starting to be able to hold its own up until a few months ago. Today, I found out that it is because of their new manager, Erin. She is extremely rude and condescending and ignores customers when they are trying to tell her that the menu says something different from what she is saying. The new employees that she has hired are just as miserable of people as well. Those who have been there since before her are still wonderful and have not let the general negativity of the location get to them, but have indicated that other regulars have either stopped coming or are getting frustrated over the same things that I have been, general rudeness, and inaccuracy of orders by the new employees. read more

This is definitely one of my favorite spots to go to especially since it is so close to my house. I usually come here with my husband and and kids every Saturday and Sunday. The weekends seem to be pretty hectic for everyone. There is usually a line out the door but we still come to get our waffles. There have been days when our order is taking much too long and people around us seem to be getting upset because their order is wrong. The staff usually seem to be pretty worked up on Saturdays and I can tell how stressed they are. However, this Saturday was quite exceptional. We got to the register and were greeted with a smile and we ordered and went to sit down. The barista made our drinks immediately and food was called in just a very short time. The staff was very happy, energetic and I didn't see any unhappy customers. Im not sure what changed, but even with all the customers the staff managed to handle it extremely well.
