My father-in-law, following the instructions of the employee behind the counter, wrote "memorial weekend 2027" in the date section of the card. Just this last week, we received a call for confirmation of our dates, which fall after memorial weekend. The employee stated our sites were given to the next person for memorial weekend. My FIL (and his cousin) both tried to speak to someone about this situation, and were met with rudeness and total unwillingness to try and remedy the situation. The employee on the phone stated that we didn't write the specific dates, even though we were following the employees directions. We've been concerned for the last few years at the reservation process ("just write your info on this card") for the resort, and this year it shows. After over 20 years of memories, we're absolutely devastated to know we have lost our sites. In reading the reviews, we are not the only ones this has happened to.

We've been doing the same spot, same time in July for over 10 years. Grounds well landscaped, watered lawns, clean restrooms (even though we order a porta-potty for ourselves). One pal and I stay up late to look for shooting stars over the lake (often see cuz no 'city lights'). Water & power at some sites (certainly the group site) is a huge bonus as is ice for sale at the office. This private campground won't disappoint!!

Lovely, clean and comfortable room. Next morning owner told us we had a flat. Shared her air compressor with us and told us where to get it fixed. Very accommodating. Would definitely stay again.

An inviting living room, a swinging bench on the porch and very comfy beds. They really make you feel like you are friend of the family. I checked in rather late and I was suprised to see my room key waiting for me accompanied by a friendly welcome letter. I loved my bedroom! It wasn't the biggest in the world but the bed was divine! I had my own sink but shared the upstairs bathroom with the rest of the guests (european style!) Coffee starts at 630 am which is nice for the earlier birds. Their continental breakfast includes locally produced jams and compotes as well as a suprise dish of the day. When i was there, frittata one day and the next day it was stuffed french bread/toast. Usually the owner or one of the other care takers is on hand for friendly conversation and to offer tidbits of local advice. My shared bathroom accomdation goes for $89/night which I found to be very reasonable. So stop with your fast paced lifestyle already! slow down at the Methow Valley Inn!

This lovely house is an oasis perched right in the foothill of the mountains, with a river running very close by. It is quiet here, peaceful, and definitely a place to come for a relaxing weekend. The rooms are very affordable and super, super clean. This is by far the most well-kept B&B I have stayed in. The rooms are well-sized and the bed was very comfortable. Be warned that rooms 1,2, and 3 share a bathroom european-style. This was fine by us, and we never even saw the other people while there. We loved the breakfast options, which included many things preserved onsite (including a killer salsa for the fritatta and a lovely raspberry jam and pear compote). The innkeepers are really, really nice people who have the balance down between socializing and letting you relax. This is a hard balance to strike and they do it well. Another big plus: no kids! No dogs either, but this contributes to the peaceful atmosphere. Loved this place and will definitely drive all the way back just to stay there.

Excellent destination place to stay…read more Excellent place to stay. Very affordable with outstanding service. We spent two nights there. First night was in cabin 15. It was spacious and had a hot tub. The cabin was perfect for a nice time with my wife and I to get away and really relax. Cabin 14 was a nice cabin too. We stayed in this one our second night. No hot tub with this one but still very nice. The breakfast was great. The food options were diverse and tasty. Kendra personally offered to make us some terrific scrambled eggs because of my limited diet. I totally recommend this place if you want a great escape from the chaos that life sometimes throws at us.

So if you don't like that I would definitely recommend getting one of the separated cabins. * A lot of the appliances (TV, fireplace. Etc.) didn't work but it wasn't a huge issue because it wasn't too cold and you're in nature - why need a TV? * Breakfast is homemade and they say it's from 8 - 9:30 AM but really all the food is gone around 9. Again, not really an issue for us since we didn't really eat the breakfast. Good coffee though :)

We stayed at this property in February 2010. The contact organization is Central Reservations in…read moreWinthrop, WA. It looked bright and clean from the internet pictures, and it was pet friendly. On arrival, the first thing I did was check the sheets. I found them wrinkled and, upon closer inspection, there was a pubic hair nestled in the sheets! The 2nd bedroom revealed stained pillowcases, and wrinkled sheets. I immediately called Central Reservations. They dispatched 2 housekeepers who arrived and demanded to see the pubic hair before changing the sheets! The replacement sheets were severely pilled and worn. A thrift store would not accept them as a donation, but they appeared clean. When I pointed out the stains on the pillowcase on the bed in the 2nd bedroom, the housekeeper refused to change the sheets in this room, pretending to change them behind a closed door. I quickly realized there was nowhere to deposit our trash. No instructions, no outside trash can. Since there is no landline in this property, I had to go to a wifi site and send an email. I was advised by Central Reservations to "just leave the trash on the porch". Knowing that there are domestic and wild animals who could/would make a mess of unsecured garbage, there was no way I was going to do this. Instead we spent one trip a day in the car trying to find secret trash cans in Winthrop to dispose of our trash. In response to an email, Central Reservations again dispatched a housekeeper to remove our garbage and leave us new trash bags. The only problem was, since there was no land line, Central Reservations did not know and could not check that we were not home (we were out trying to find somewhere to dump our trash). The housekeeper entered the house without our permission, and terrorized our poor cat, who is afraid of humans, and spent the next few hours cowering and yowling under the bed. The property is very dirty. Stained pot holders are prominently displayed on hooks over the stove, many cigarette butts sit in a pot on the deck. My cat scooped hunks of hair, crumbs, an old cracker, dirt and dust from under the stove. There is dog feces in the yard. The shower curtain is coated with soap scum. The venetian blind in the bathroom is bent and almost non-functional. The pet hair on the blinds is unsightly. The space behind the TV is very dusty. Even the hooks that hold the coffee mugs in the kitchen are dirty. The good things about this house are the newish fridge, full size washer/dryer, the stove/oven, microwave, TV and DVD player. The airtight gas stove works well. The view of the river is stunning. Upon departure, we checked under the bed and found a dirty sock and a pair of dirty underpants. We were surprised at the lack of cleanliness of this house, since it looked white and sparkly on the internet. Just because it is a property that allows pets, does not mean it can't be clean. If you plan to stay here bring blankets to put over the furniture and be prepared to do your own deep cleaning. We will NEVER stay here again.

The location is handy to Winthrop and Mazama yet removed from crowds and commotion. The Twisp valley is its own world of peaceful forest land , freestone trout streams, alpine lakes and cozy cabins. On our trip we rented all 4 bedrooms and had an intimate family trip. Our hosts provided the perfect balance of informative and pleasant company and privacy. My wife and I were hesitant to stay at a B and B because of privacy issues. There was NO CONCERN with that at the TR Inn. The accommodations were very clean and well appointed but not for the Ritz Crowd. If you like big stone fireplaces, handmade quilts, rich dark Lariat coffee paired with a daily brunch that impresses a foodie, then this place may be for you. Winthrop is a magical place close to my family's heart as I grew up coming out to the Methow every…read moreyear as a child. My grandparents property purchased in the 70's has since been sold, but Wolfridge has provided a great alternative. We have stayed in two of the stand alone cabins as well as the one bedroom units. Our most recent trip we stayed in the sleeping wolf 1 bedroom cabin. We were happy with the unit. The only complaint I have was that there was no coffee pot even though it was listed as an amenity. As a mom of young children, a coffee pot is a necessity. Luckily, we were able to borrow an extra one from another unit additional family was staying in. Also worth mentioning, the pool and the hot tub have had a major turn around.

Over the next few days we also noticed the following: 1) under the bed there are numerous boxes, two microwaves and a pair of dirty socks. 2) 2 out of 4 of the bathroom light bulbs were not working. 3) the bathroom cabinet has a bunch of random stuff including an empty tp roll. 4) the fireplace was taken apart and the thermostat was hanging off the wall. 5) a candy wrapper under the couch. 6) top of the fridge was disgustingly dirty. 7) cabinets are messy and disorganized. 8) carpets are super dirty. 9) random sleds and rubber glove in parking area. 10) windows are also disgusting. This place doesn't feel like a rental. It feels like someone's house that wasn't expecting guests. Creepy. Also, the "hot tub" is not hot and doesn't have functioning jets. It seems to have been that way for a long time. I reached out to management and they completely brushed off my concerns. They came by to put the fireplace back together and screw in the light bulbs that weren't working, but otherwise nothing. They tried to say it was because it was a same day turn around, but this place is chronically dirty and disorganized. I get that the cabin is old, but for $200/ night I would expect it to be clean. We will never stay here again and we WOULD NOT recommend it to anyone! There are way better places to stay.

I'm a member and enjoy being able to visit another…read moretown or city and swing in and have a beer and or food without the problems that come with bars. This location, like many others, is run down but still functioning. I didn't get to experience Sunday morning Breakfast but know others who have and they say it's great. They open at 8am for that and then 4PM every day until they close up when ot slows down. It was still enjoyable and the locals were nice.
