    Methow River

We have stayed at AbbyCreek Inn multiple time this year. It is a super good value for the money! The location and staff our fantastic! The hotel itself is older but well kept. The rooms are very clean. Breakfast is really good. It comes with your room and you are not disappointed. The grounds are beautiful with lots of flower's. There is an upper and lower terrace in back along the river that we always spent our evenings at enjoying the view. Deer are always walking through the site as well. On our last visit we rented float tubes - they were $25 a person and the GM drives you into Winthrop and drops you off and you float down back to the hotel. If you don't stop it's a 30 min float though we stretched ours out finding little swimming holes to jump in. It was really fun for adults and kids. Highly recommend this place for a nice getaway that is very affordable. Cheers to the staff!!

There's nothing truly special about this hotel but it's not bad. We stayed for one night while traveling and our experience was ok. The person in the front office had our keys ready for us when we arrived and she got us checked in with no delay. Rooms, while nothing fancy, were spacious and clean. Bathroom is small but water pressure in the shower was great. Our room was on the top floor and had a small balcony. I imagine the balcony would be awesome in spring or summer but it was around 40 degrees when we were there so not fun to be sitting outside. Lobby area was nice - they have movies available that you can check out and watch in your room. They also serve breakfast. We were told at check-in that breakfast was served from 7AM - 10AM but unfortunately when we went to the lobby at 7 it was still locked and no one was there. There was a sign on the door indicating lobby hours started at 8AM so I'm guessing we were just told the incorrect time. We were not able to wait until 8AM for breakfast due to our travel schedule so we didn't get to try it. In the summertime they have a pool available. I think I saw a grill in the courtyard too. All in all this place is A-OK, nothing fancy, nothing bad.

    Great river access.

My family just spent three nights at Abby Creek Inn with our two dogs. We were supposed to be backpacking, but due to the heatwave, we decided to book a dog-friendly room with A/C and a swimming pool and day hike instead. The property is older, but very well maintained. The beds were comfortable and the A/C was great. We really loved the river access behind the hotel and enjoyed walking our dogs back there every day. Thanks for the great stay!

Wow. New hot tub is awsome....and the carpet cleaned by Peaks and Valley is amazing. Also the most fun is they have tubbing in the summer. Van takes you up river drops you off and float back to the motel and get out. Dont forget to tip the driver. Also the refinished mini golf just out back is fun for all ages. Fire pits and barb-bqs...my all time favorite is the bikes to use. Just down the road icescating and access to trails. Good natured and friendly staff and owners.

The parking lot is a rodeo for compact cars only -- if you drive anything bigger than a Mini Cooper, good luck partner. The riverside 'sitting area' is less 'tranquil escape' and more 'Botanical Exhibit: Weeds of the Northwest.' A $20 Home Depot run could have fixed it, but apparently tumbleweed chic was the design choice. The scenic walkway is cleverly positioned right in front of your windows, so the choice is either: (a) enjoy your 'river view' or (b) star in a reality show called People Watching Me in My Pajamas. The walls are so thin you'll know exactly when your neighbor sneezes, flushes, or thinks deep thoughts about life. The western theme? Let's just say it's like someone googled "cowboy wood" and gave up halfway. The mix of cedar, pine, and random lumber scraps feels less John Wayne and more Home Depot clearance bin. And the bathroom? Oh, half of it is in the bedroom. Because nothing says romance like brushing your teeth while your partner is still in bed watching you. Five stars for location. Zero stars for everything else. Would only recommend if your idea of a Wild West vacation includes thin walls, awkward parking, and bathrooms that refuse to commit to a single room.

I'm glad my husband caught it when reviewing our statement, so make sure to check yours too. The room itself was quaint and fit the character of the western town. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the view over the creek was beautiful. The only odd design choice was the sink being located in the main part of the room rather than in the separate toilet/shower area, which made brushing teeth and washing up a little awkward. Unfortunately, we were rudely woken up at 9 am by someone aggressively trying to enter our room. I'm fairly certain it was a cleaning person, though check-out wasn't until 11 am, so I have no idea why they'd be trying to clean our room so early. When I looked through the peephole, I saw it was a small man wearing a cap, so I wasn't about to open the door to confront him. He continued trying to open the door for 2-3 minutes before finally giving up. An hour later, when we were ready to depart around 10 am, I went to the office to find out what all the ruckus was all about, but it was locked and completely unattended. We left feeling uneasy, and although the room and setting were nice, the unsettling experience means we probably wouldn't stay here again.

We stayed in Cabin #12 and it was very nice. It was clean and neat. It came equipped with a full kitchen. We used the refrigerator but did not cook. There was a stack of napkins on the nook table but no paper towels available. Next time I'll remember a roll. The deck was right above the river and was very scenic. The hot tub was very useful to us and we sat in it stargazing for hours. The setting is private with privacy screens on both sides. We had neighbors on both sides of us who were also outside but all was peaceful. Good nature sounds out there. The check in procedure was flawless. It was all faceless and we never entered the office or saw any staff at all. They had our credit card number and sent us an email the day we arrived with the key box code. I'm assuming Covid prompted that procedure but it was smooth. There were a couple rocking chairs and a couch in the tv area. Under the tv was a DVD player and we watched some old Bogart/Bacall movies. Very cool. We already booked another trip next time Washington Pass is clear.

Whoever is running a scam of charging premium price point of $200+ a night for this shed is only doing it because there isn't enough business in town to rent it out by the hour. The "breakfast" is represented by an unclean coffee machine and a basket of Costco snacks by the front desk, in a permanently-locked room, where the clerk (a local teen) is never present. She emerges sporadically, every now and then, mostly in the afternoon when new tenants are expected - but is nowhere to be seen in the morning or during posted "breakfast hours". The place has some sort of shed int he back, cracked pavement parking lot, and pretty much nothing else around. But the biggest red flag was that my dog refused to walk on the floor! She jumped on the bed, and would not come down even for food or water. I think something on the floor was hurting her paws, or she smelled something, not sure? Also the bed was very uncomfortable, and then the door to the bathroom was dirty and had spots on it. I guess there used to be a hot tub, but it wasn't working. We came to play in a hockey tournament and booked last minute and it was the only reasonable price- we should have checked reviews.
