    Hot tub patio.

Great cabins. We got one of the chalets with a hot tub because we're here for a hockey tournament. The hot tub didn't work. They refunded us $40 off the price of our whole weekend stay when we asked about it because they 'couldn't get someone out to look at it'. They communicated this to us with a note taped to the outside of our door. When my partner wanted to talk to them about the hot tub "solution", they said they couldn't help because they were filling in for someone and didn't know basically anything. Then they asked US how many people we had staying with us, because 'the maintenance man' noticed multiple people coming and going from the chalet. Those multiple people were our buddies who were staying in two of the other chalets. It's a hockey tournament. To respond to a complaint with "well should we be charging you extra for occupancy??????" is completely inappropriate and unprofessional. We had friends have hot tub issues in their chalet last year as well. Seems like a really good way to make lots of money when you aren't refunding people appropriate amounts of money. We got that cabin for the hot tub because we are a bunch of people playing hockey in subzero temperatures. Otherwise we would have rented one of the chalets next to the ice rink (duh). Pretty upsetting 'resolution'. We are planning on calling them again when their 'main person' is back on the premises. Also they provide lots of cooking dishes and a couple spices but if you plan on cooking at all, assume you will need to purchase all of the basics (butter, cooking oil, etc) as they are not provided. And yes, the beds ARE as awful as the other reviews say.

Love the location of the resort. I stayed the night in a cozy cottage, which is not right on the river but one row of cottages back from the river. Privacy is great while sitting in the hot tub. You can easily hear the river. The price is reasonable for such a cute clean cottage. I would definitely stay here again and would highly recommend it. The property is within easy walking distance of the entire town. A very peaceful and relaxing time.

Nice and rustic. I especially loved that it had a couple of chairs and a patio with a view of the river that you could sit outside on. It's not fancy but clean and old fashioned like. The bathroom is pretty small but the outside made up for it. It's very relaxing here and there are places you can walk to or go eat close by.

My family has enjoyed Winthrop Washington for over 20 years! We have stayed @ various camp grounds & local "hotels". This was our first stay with Rivers Edge. We rented a large & spacious 3 bedroom cabin overlooking the river. The Resort was quiet & private. Upon entry to our cabin I was Immediately impressed with the cleanliness. Lots of natural lighting & spacious. The cabin was fully stocked & had full size washer&dryer. The location is idea. Just on the edge of town & walking distance to downtown. We will definitely return to Winthrop & look forward to staying @ our new favorite cabin @ Rivers Edge!

Amazing little cabins that feel like a great alternative to Airbnb. Love the hot tubs on the river cabins. Epic relaxation awaits.

I notice the other hotels and resort are located in Winthrop the downtown area, which basically have the entrance hotel room doors shown to the public. This cabin and lodge are tucked away from the busy downtown area and the cool thing is you can just walk to the downtown area by crossing the bridge on foot. Heyyyyyyyy! My husband, our daughter, and I did that in order to get our walks in. The walking distance isn't that bad since Winthrop is so small with cute local business shops. Let's talk about the room and the amenities: clean room. Just as advertised. We got what we wanted: king suite with sofa bed and river view. Tv works. Coffee, small fridge, and microwave work. Also, the key works for the door, so that was nice. When you know you'd be arriving late at the property after 6 pm, it's best to contact the hotel before 4 pm to catch up with the receptionist and inform them that you'd be arriving later after normal business hours, so an access key code would be texted to you. Continental breakfast is available in the morning if you're in the mood for typical muffins or breakfast bars. Coffee is available in the hotel room, and you have to get your tea in the lobby during breakfast hours. We would come back here in the future!

The parking lot is a rodeo for compact cars only -- if you drive anything bigger than a Mini Cooper, good luck partner. The riverside 'sitting area' is less 'tranquil escape' and more 'Botanical Exhibit: Weeds of the Northwest.' A $20 Home Depot run could have fixed it, but apparently tumbleweed chic was the design choice. The scenic walkway is cleverly positioned right in front of your windows, so the choice is either: (a) enjoy your 'river view' or (b) star in a reality show called People Watching Me in My Pajamas. The walls are so thin you'll know exactly when your neighbor sneezes, flushes, or thinks deep thoughts about life. The western theme? Let's just say it's like someone googled "cowboy wood" and gave up halfway. The mix of cedar, pine, and random lumber scraps feels less John Wayne and more Home Depot clearance bin. And the bathroom? Oh, half of it is in the bedroom. Because nothing says romance like brushing your teeth while your partner is still in bed watching you. Five stars for location. Zero stars for everything else. Would only recommend if your idea of a Wild West vacation includes thin walls, awkward parking, and bathrooms that refuse to commit to a single room.

It was a bit steep for a Monday evening, totaling $211 with taxes. Upon driving in, on the left hand side was an eyesore, reminiscent of the Texas Chainsaw massacre with car parts strewn all over the lawn, a bit eery. Maybe that's where you end up if you don't pay! The manager on duty was very polite, and let us check in a couple hours earlier than their normal check in. The maids were still cleaning the room when we arrived. They only allow one person at a time at the hotel desk so they abide by COVID rules. Every employee we came across wore masks. We stayed in the main building up on the second floor. Enter room. Very clean. On the left is a closet with permanent hangers and a vanity with soaps and lotions (beware the soap does not foam at all, was it really soap?), and then the bathroom. Lots of towels. In the room straight ahead is a loveseat and and A/C unit that works very well. There were two queen beds with that cute "you're on the river" bed posts. Quilted blankets for that homey feel. Pretty sure they aren't cleaning the quilts between guests though, didn't smell fresh. Pillows were comfy. Beds were firm, but I found it quite comfortable. They supply a mini fridge and a microwave and a coffee station. There is a tv, but it's about the size of a laptop monitor, pretty small. Normally they have a place where you can borrow DVD's to watch or board games to play, but during COVID, they are not doing that. The best part of the Inn is that our patio overlooked the River, which is very relaxing. The screen door fell off the tracks multiple times so I decided to just leave it parked at an angle outside the sliding glass door. They provided a citronella candle (nice touch) in case you didn't want to experience mosquito genocide. Not relaxing was the giant tree being escavated within our front view, and was loud, ruining an otherwise perfect view of the water. Before dinner, we laid out in the hammock and got some shut eye. After dinner we came back, as I had reserved an hour (they allow you to sign yourself up on a sheet outside the indoor pool on premises) for the pool and the hot tub. Beware, the hot tub.... it's hot. Burned my keister. :P The wi-fi was somewhat slow and made it somewhat difficult to plan the next days adventures. We still managed to get a decent nights sleep, and check out was quick and easy.
