    Trash on the floor
    Matt R.

We booked this room at around 200 dollars for the night. Front person was there and decently knowledgeable. Gave me the code to get in the room as these are locks like you would have on the door of your house that won't lock until you manually lock it. We immediately went to the room that was so filled with smoke you would think it was a smoking break room. It was difficult to breathe. Before we could get into the room a dog came running in and jumped on our bed. Sorry I couldn't get a photo of that. There was a huge gap to the outside of the room under the window unit air conditioner. The floors were unclean and had stuff on them including razor blades. The room and the beds were from the 1970's at best and had no updates since then. We ended up trying to change rooms but the front receptionist said no rooms were available. We asked for our money back so we could get another hotel but was refused. We called the booking agency and the woman got extremely mad and made us leave. We are still trying to get our money back. Please be aware of this place. I have pictures for reference. I would have rather slept in my vehicle.

When we arrived, We noticed tons of bad things. 1. The place looked run down, it was that bad. they also said that it has been renovated, but that was a lie. 2. They said they served complimentary breakfast, but when we looked at it. We were not hungry for breakfast anymore, and the doors to the office where "breakfast" is served were locked. no employees were even in the office all night! Me and my family and maybe 2 other people but no employees? That is stupid to have no employees here all night and just leave other people here? I'm so pissed, we paid 115$ to get ripped off. This place is terrible, so please DON'T stay here and waste your money! As we will not be staying here ever again.

Not a bad place to stay, not a great place to stay. This inn is only a couple of minutes down the road from the main touristy area of Winthrop. We got a room with 2 queen beds for one night for $89 and you get what you pay for. The room was pretty old fashioned and the walls are extremely thin. You get what you pay for. There was a small tv, a fridge, and a microwave. Because of COVID-19, there weren't comforters on the bed, so I'm glad I brought a sweatshirt. I probably wouldn't stay there longer than one night.

    Just dirty!

PLEASE READ BEFORE STAYING HERE!!!!Falsely advertised, overpriced, dirty, quickly thrown together, stinky, and just overall uncomfortable! Let me start by saying, I don't think I've stayed in many places that were worse than this. I don't mind getting by with the bare minimum when staying in hotels as long as the price is reflected in that. This place is NOWHERE near up to par for what we paid! We stayed in what we were told was a brand new room, freshly renovated, no one had slept in it before. Godspeed to anyone who dares to attempt to sleep in the rooms that haven't been done yet. My first issue was the smell that smacked me in the face the second I walked in and continued to linger throughout the whole stay. It was a mix between used month old gym socks and garbage that needed to be taken out a while ago. As I looked around the hallways leading to our room I found bugs everywhere in plain sight. Definitely no in depth cleaning going on in this place. Paint had been spilled and splattered across doors and new flooring. You can tell it was quickly thrown together. The room was small, not complaining, I don't need much space. The tv was tiny, my mom couldn't even tell what she watching from her bed, haha. Our two queen beds had disheveled white sheets, and only the sheets. I know it's summer but they had the air conditioning set to 64degrees, I'm gonna need a blanket! The walls were so paper thin that I could hear every move that people made in the entire wing we were in! I could hear every time the doors opened and closed to outside, I could hear every time someone got ice, I could hear every time someone used the restroom, every time someone talked, people snoring, literally everything. It was so uncomfortable because we felt like we had no privacy, people could hear every move we made. At this point we just wanted to get out of the building and go enjoy the pool that we had been hyping my 4 year old son up on for days. The pool that is advertised on your website, the promo emails being sent out, and the signage out front of your establishment. The cement around the pool is cracked and the land is pushed back away from the hotel and looks like it is about to crumble and cave in. It is empty except for the inch or two of green/black sludge in the bottom. So disappointing!!!! They are falsely advertising and don't care that it draws people in as long as they get their money. We BOOKED and PAID for two nights but ended up only staying one. We just couldn't take another night at that place. I read the reviews and kicked myself for not doing so in the first place. I didn't even bother with trying to get any money back after hearing about everyone else's horror stories with administration here. It was god awful. Please, please don't put yourself through it and stay literally anywhere else. My dad was raised in Winthrop and I've stayed many places here and this is the only one I've had an issue with. The Virginian Resort, Chewuch Inn and Cabins, and AbbeyCreek Inn are a few I've enjoyed, check out these places first PLEASE! Save your yourself, your checkbook, and your nose!!

Old, run down. Way overpriced. I haven't stay in a motel 6 in 40 years but this place is a step down from that.

We weren't impressed. The room was dirty and worn. Winthrop Inn is pet friendly though which is why we chose it.

Basic but comfortable. However we both came home with rashes or bites that looked like they were from bed bugs

If you're looking for a place that perfectly captures the spirit of the Old West after the gold…read morerush failed and everyone left town, this is it. The parking lot is a rodeo for compact cars only -- if you drive anything bigger than a Mini Cooper, good luck partner. The riverside 'sitting area' is less 'tranquil escape' and more 'Botanical Exhibit: Weeds of the Northwest.' A $20 Home Depot run could have fixed it, but apparently tumbleweed chic was the design choice. The scenic walkway is cleverly positioned right in front of your windows, so the choice is either: (a) enjoy your 'river view' or (b) star in a reality show called People Watching Me in My Pajamas. The walls are so thin you'll know exactly when your neighbor sneezes, flushes, or thinks deep thoughts about life. The western theme? Let's just say it's like someone googled "cowboy wood" and gave up halfway. The mix of cedar, pine, and random lumber scraps feels less John Wayne and more Home Depot clearance bin. And the bathroom? Oh, half of it is in the bedroom. Because nothing says romance like brushing your teeth while your partner is still in bed watching you. Five stars for location. Zero stars for everything else. Would only recommend if your idea of a Wild West vacation includes thin walls, awkward parking, and bathrooms that refuse to commit to a single room.

I'm glad my husband caught it when reviewing our statement, so make sure to check yours too. The room itself was quaint and fit the character of the western town. It was clean, the bed was comfortable, and the view over the creek was beautiful. The only odd design choice was the sink being located in the main part of the room rather than in the separate toilet/shower area, which made brushing teeth and washing up a little awkward. Unfortunately, we were rudely woken up at 9 am by someone aggressively trying to enter our room. I'm fairly certain it was a cleaning person, though check-out wasn't until 11 am, so I have no idea why they'd be trying to clean our room so early. When I looked through the peephole, I saw it was a small man wearing a cap, so I wasn't about to open the door to confront him. He continued trying to open the door for 2-3 minutes before finally giving up. An hour later, when we were ready to depart around 10 am, I went to the office to find out what all the ruckus was all about, but it was locked and completely unattended. We left feeling uneasy, and although the room and setting were nice, the unsettling experience means we probably wouldn't stay here again.

We stayed in Cabin #12 and it was very nice. It was clean and neat. It came equipped with a full kitchen. We used the refrigerator but did not cook. There was a stack of napkins on the nook table but no paper towels available. Next time I'll remember a roll. The deck was right above the river and was very scenic. The hot tub was very useful to us and we sat in it stargazing for hours. The setting is private with privacy screens on both sides. We had neighbors on both sides of us who were also outside but all was peaceful. Good nature sounds out there. The check in procedure was flawless. It was all faceless and we never entered the office or saw any staff at all. They had our credit card number and sent us an email the day we arrived with the key box code. I'm assuming Covid prompted that procedure but it was smooth. There were a couple rocking chairs and a couch in the tv area. Under the tv was a DVD player and we watched some old Bogart/Bacall movies. Very cool. We already booked another trip next time Washington Pass is clear.
