We stayed at Twist river suites as we our campsite at Pearrygin lake state park state park got cancelled due to fire. We had an amazing time at the Twist river suites. The suites are in excellent condition, very clean and spacious with fully fledged kitchen. Very thankful to Donna and Stephanie for going the extra distance for accommodating us in the late evening and helping us out in the time of need. Highly recommend staying at this property. read more

While Twisp River Suites was a little more expensive then some of the other lodging in the area -- it was well worth paying a little more. The room was super clean and spacious and the breakfast was tasty and had some good variety. It was also nice to be able to just open the patio door and hear the river. read more

What a gem of a place! From the moment we arrived to when we departed, each day was memorable! Donna greeted us when we arrived and she was wonderful. We felt so welcomed! Breakfast was delicious. I did not get the name of the lady who tended to breakfast but she was so sweet! Everything from the quiche, coffee to the home made baked goods was divine! Our room was perfect, we had the standard room, but that suited us well as we spent more time at the common deck enjoying the sounds of the river. Delightful surprise on the riverfront. Beautiful and roomy suite with a well designed layout, kitchenette, laundry and 1.5 baths at a very reasonable price. Staff is amazing and very helpful too. Twisp itself is a small but artsy community. Local craftsmen and artists helped design and decorate the unique architecture of the inn. We walked next door to the Twisp River Tap house for a scrumptious meal and Open Mike. What amazing local musicians and singers. Zen morning on the porch swing with my coffee by the river. read more

Awesome experience during our 8 days there! Super chill vibe, very friendly, warm and modern aesthetic! The deck over the river with a firepit, bbq and hot tub is fantastic. The staff are all super wonderful and authentic! Very comfortable and contemporary rooms, the main building of suites, looking on the river, are non-dog suites. The dog-centric suites are in a lovely 3-unit building just across the street, and are wonderfully focused on supporting both pets and their owners. It's a quick walk across the street to the lobby, which is more like a big, cool living room, looking out on the large deck and river. We can't remember ever having better service for us and our pups! Oh, and BTW, Joe is the coolest owner and a great singer and Donna is was very helpful... 10 stars! So that was Bruce, this is Donna. I need to say that what was the most awesome part of the pet suites is that you can leave your pups in the room when you go out to dinner or to hear some music in the evening. Lovely walks to take them out in the day but it is really great to have the option to leave them cozied up in their beds. Every one of the pet-suites has its own private fenced yard with a doggy door to it. We have been to many hotels that love dogs and leave them treats etc but then you can't leave them alone in the room or they need to be kenneled the whole time. When it is warm, obviously they can't be left in the car so you are stuck! Our girls, Ella Fitzgerald and Nina Simone, had a great time. So did we!!! read more

Arrived this afternoon for a one night stay. Took us a few to find it. Our gps was wanting to put us on the wrong side of the highway. They do have a sign out but the arrow is very dark. We were greeted warmly upon arrival by Cori. We decided to ask if they still had a suite available. We had originally reserved the king standard. They did, and boy are we glad we did. As we were finishing up registering a gentleman stopped and asked if we had any dietary restrictions. He was checking in advance to be able to make any accommodations needed for the included breakfast the next morning. (Realized later that it was the owner, Joe). We were shown around the property, all the amenities, then to our room. That's a novelty these days to begin with. As a past travel consultant, I can honestly say this is among the best of any and all properties I've ever experienced. I won't list everything as others have done so, but I will say, it was like coming home to a clean house. Very warm and welcoming. Slept like babies, but better.....slept through the night. Mattress, pillows, linens, all great quality. Breakfast, absolutely amazing. A great variety of choices. Most everything made there. Scones were to die for. We will definitely be back. My wife booked us here for the week before her birthday, 25th of September. The room was very spacious and comfortable. The receivers at the hotel were Joe himself, and Stephanie, I believe, everyone was very friendly and helpful. We chatted with Joe for a while and Stephanie showed us around the place and then took us to our room. She answered all questions and was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They offer a very nice breakfast which is prepared the day before of your selection from three items, so no going down to a lounge or restaurant to eat. Coffee was Blue Star, very well known in the area, and a lovely flavored coffee. The bed was comfortable and the pillows a bit too soft for my old head and neck but I made do and slept well every night. Spend time in the comfortable rooms or head out for hiking or sightseeing or skiing and snowshoeing, it is all available and TRS is a great place to headquarter. read more

One of my favorite places in the world to stay! Beautifully appointed, comfortable rooms perched on the banks of the Twisp River. Even the standard rooms have fridges and microwaves and 12-cup coffee makers. The suites offer full kitchens. For dog-owners, they have new Pet Suites!!! A deck runs along the back of the building providing a wonderful place to enjoy a microbrew or a cup of Blue Star coffee. There are even chairs down by the river if you prefer to be closer to the soothing gurgle of water! The common area is so warm and comfortable, with a fireplace, leather furniture, and plenty of tables to enjoy a beverage, play cards, or eat the wonderful breakfast. Breakfast (included) is a couple of egg casseroles, boiled eggs, fresh fruit, yogurt, fresh scones, cereals, bagels, bread pudding, and lots of accoutrements. And award-winning Blue Star Coffee! Our stay at Twisp River Suites was exceptional. It was a family gathering for my husband's 80th birthday. The staff could not have been more accommodating, the accommodation more comfortable and impeccably clean. Our every need was greeted with a warm smile and delivered professionally. The planning started in January, the stay in June. As we do not live in the area, the planning could not have been the screaming success without this incredible team of people, Joe, Kori, Anita, Deb, and Donna. I decided to book Twisp River Suites after needing to change my honeymoon plans last minute. The woman on the phone was super helpful. She explained all their Covid precautions as well things to do in Twisp, then helped me book their best suite with a full kitchen, soaking tub, laundry machine and porch. It was a long, dark and snowy drive to get there on WA 29 but it was worth it. When we got there she told us about Covid precautions and then gave a tour of the suite . Everyone was wearing masks and there was a place for clean and dirty pens at the front desk. I liked the suite had its own living room and kitchen area with a built in fire place. We were able to buy things at a supermarket and eat them in the suite. There was also a porch that gave you a perfect view of the river and mountains. This hotel had the best breakfast experience of our trip. When we got to our room breakfasts were in the fridge that met our dietary restrictions. The paleo granola and quiche with potato crust were delicious. The owner, Joe, is friendly and well suited to his job. He told my husband all the things to see in the area including a spot with a panoramic view of the mountains. He also wished us a happy honeymoon and gave us a complimentary bottle of wine. This is one of the best places my husband and I have stayed in in a long time and I hope to come back someday. read more

I'm not sure, but I may not have enough space to write about our exceptional stay at Twisp River Suites. First, and most importantly to us, the people. From the owner, Joe, who my daughter simply adored, to Leah, Donna and the rest of the staff whose names I've sadly forgotten, we were treated like extra special guests. "Can we go to the lobby again?" was heard repeatedly by our daughter over our two night's stay. They even called us in advance inquiring about whether we might need a roll-away bed for our daughter. Next, the suite. We stayed in a king upstairs room, which was impeccably clean and stocked with everything, I mean everything, you would need to make a gourmet meal or even just a really great pot of coffee (beats many vacation rentals by a long shot). The view from the screened in deck was relaxing and the Twisp River below was exactly what we needed to cool off after a hot day exploring. After camping in the North Cascades, we came to Twisp River Suites dusty and our clothes dirty -- no problem -- full-sized washer/dryer in the unit! Finally, the breakfast! Wow! We were not expecting the delectable and abundant breakfast made fresh each day and enjoyed in our room -- scones, fruit, yogurt, quiche, and more! In room coffee from local roaster, Blue Star, too. Snacks and beverages for purchase in the lobby, as well. *Please do drop in to Jupiter in downtown Winthrop for a wonderful dinner, Glover St Market for a tasty lunch (make sure to fill up a bottle of their large selection of balsamic vinegar and olive oil), and head to Blue Star coffee in the morning for a finely brewed $1 cup - how does that even happen anymore?! Beautifully appointed suites, with everything you could want. They thought of everything! A gorgeous location along the river, with the lull of the rushing water. The breakfast was delicious and plentiful, with quiche, yogurt, fresh fruit and a scone and there was coffee and cream ready for my morning. The location gives you the view and sound of the river, yet just a 5 minute walk to the center of town with restaurants, grocery, galleries and other amenities. And Winthrop is just up the road. The owners and staff were kind, empathetic and so accommodating as I was in Twisp to tend to a family emergency. My suite was a soothing sanctuary during a difficult time. We had a two night stay for our family in the Twisp River Suites. It was lovely. From the friendly owners and staff, to the beautiful surrounding outdoor spaces. Our room was perfectly appointed with a warm palatte of furnishings. Everything we needed was at hand. The screened patio, as well as, the outdoor patio provided the perfect backdrop for a quiet morning cup of coffee in your pjs or a glass of wine in the evening enjoying the wildlife by the river. Breakfast was great. We loved the yogurt, granola and fresh fruit options. Heartier fate was available too. All served with juice and BlueStar Coffee! We received a very warm welcome and were pleasantly surprised by the tasteful decor as soon as we arrived. Our puppy appreciated the healthy, homemade treats offered to him and we appreciated the delicious breakfast left for us. It's not easy to go above and beyond during these Covid-19 times but the staff certainly did everything in their power to make us feel comfortable. Exceeded pretty much all expectations, perfect lounge with outdoor seating, outdoor is heated and or misted! The "single queens" express exactly what they state, you get a bed & bath. We were offered an affordable upgrade to a condo like suite, after dinner we took them up on the offer. This place was awesome!! Everything was large, clean, and for the most part up to date. They've got memory foam beds, the first I've appreciated ever, ice maker, wash-dry, lots of tv & music channels. Bath is big, double sink, hot shower, shampoo smelt like citrus, I covered my body in this, it was outstanding all day!! Breakfast was the best I've ever had, sausage quiche is untouchable,veggie was amazing too, plenty of fresh fruit, some fancy yogurt and toppings that I have no knowledge of!! The suites are the highs, queens except-able if you're only there for sleep & shower. The owner was always around, here or there, it was great! Super nice guy!!! read more

This is. So clean quiet and comfortable. Separate laundry in your suite and beautiful soaker tub and separate shower so nice with night light. Full kitchen and living room with recliner. A screened in deck to sit on in a double swing chair and 1 other chair to enjoy the out doors the river , just beautiful . They serve a beautiful breakfast. Yogurt with choices of fruits and granolas , Meat Quiche made fresh and Veggies Quiche Bread Pudding all made there and bagels with cream cheese spreads to choose from and more fresh fruits .plus out door heated dining if cold. DID I SAY THIS WAS A GREAT PLACE TO STAY ! Love it A year a go we stayed at there pet suites and it was so cute with privacy fenced in yard for your pet and a doggie bed. read more

This is the most friendly amazing hotel ever. I love dog friendly people but this is a dog lovers dream hotel. My room is all about my dogs comfort as well as mine. It was so great. My dog has his own back yard, doggie door, food and water bowls, they even setup a big comfy chair for him to snuggle up in. They have a dog shower outside if your dog gets dirty and a full kitchen and laundry for you to use anytime you want. Our outside has a patio for us and even a BBQ. A wonderful little gem in the Methow Valley. Very comfortable with a full kitchen suite, fireplace, comfortable bed and soft towels, with all the amenities. Walking distance from downtown Twisp to yummy restaurants and bakeries. Being a light sleeper, one big plus is how quiet it is! Breakfast is included with a wide variety of choices including gluten free options. Loved the view of the river and trees. The management was amazing and SO helpful. What a wonderful find. The room was well accommodated and owners thought of everything you might need. Reading glasses, earplugs, disposable slippers, robe, make up pads and cotton swaps. The king bed had nice linens and pillows and the memory foam mattress provided a great nights sleep. Down on the river were gazebos, chairs, hammock and firepits. The breakfast was the best hotel breakfast ever. Homemade quiche. scones, and cinnamon roll bread pudding. Lots of fruit and other yummy treats. The owners were very friendly. What can I add that hasn't already been mentioned and confirmed over and over? Joe made us feel welcome from the moment we walked into the lobby. We had reserved a non-river view room and after seeing the difference with the river view suites we chose to upgrade. The non-river view room was nice but lacked the porch, separate living room, etc. And for the small difference in price, we opted to take advantage of the availability. As others have said Joe makes your stay more like a B&B experience than a hotel. He knows your name from the moment you walk in. His attention to detail in the suites is obvious. Like reading glasses not only in the bedroom but the living room as well (laugh, but someday you will come to see the value of reading glasses). When was the last time your hotel room included a screened in porch? From the outside I was convinced the hotel was converted from an older building but quickly found out that it was built as a hotel 4 years earlier. While I liked the aged appearance, it masks the high quality of the rooms inside. From the moment you walk into the lobby you will know this is not your typical chain hotel. We were disappointed we couldn't stay longer. Sadly, the town could use some help to support the hotel. The microbrewery next door had suffered a suspected arson fire earlier in the year and had not been reopened when we were there. The Mexican restaurant down the street was just ok. While the skylight above the bed was an interesting feature, even with the blind closed it did allow more light in the morning than we liked. A small criticism considering the other details that have been included in the suite. The lobby has a selection of beer and wine for sale and scones were being removed from the oven for breakfast when we arrived. The lobby deck overlooks the river in a nice setting. We wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. The other hotels we stayed at during our visit to the area all felt like a letdown after staying here. read more

A comfortable getaway in the Methow! The suites are well appointed and cozy. Full-sized modern appliances in the suites, beautiful cabinetry, gas stove, large screen TV with huge cable package, comfortable furniture, giant screened in porch that opens for fresh air. The bedroom is well done; the bed is memory foam, there's an ipod dock, bathroom has a giant soaking tub and beautiful tiles in the shower. All top notch. The Suites offer a complimentary breakfast in the reception, there are weekly events hosted in here- like live jazz music and football parties. The staff here are all friendly and helpful. Hungry? You are 10 yards away from Twisp River Pub! Tip to the wise- there is a gas fire pit down on the river bank with chaise lounges. Perfect for a nighttime glass of wine on the Methow River. read more

This is a great place to stay in Twisp. The kitchen is fully stocked with utensils and there is ample space to lounge around. Great spot for couples or families to have a chill break. One note of caution, the sound carries on the wood joists between floors, so ask to stay in a suite without kids above you. read more

The Twisp River Suites is a special place located along Hwy 20 in Twisp, WA. The Inn is new being built only 4 years ago. The 2 room suite we had was about as well furnished as I have ever seen a suite, including just about every amenity you could ever want or need. The place is modern yet warm and I believe most of the rooms have a balcony at the back on the river. When I think of an "Inn" the "Innkeeper" usually comes to mind and Joe is the ultimate Innkeeper. He will know your name quickly and provide everything you need. The reception area and leisure room is filled with comfortable seating, a large screen TV, movies games and other activities. And breakfast is also served there every morning starting at 7:30. It definitely has to be the best "included" breakfast I have ever had at an Inn, complete with fresh baked scones, quiches, juices, excellent coffee and other breakfast items. The Inn backs onto the Twisp River and the Inn has provided several comfort and activity items including a propane bonfire, chairs, a hammock and there is also a hot tub. Considering the extreme heat we had during our visit, a pool would have been nice. They also have a pet hotel adjacent to the Inn where you can keep your pet while you stay at the Inn. There is lots of parking at both Inn's and there are a couple of great restaurants nearby. Joe and his staff made us feel very welcome and provided us with the confidence that they could accommodate most of our requests. However we stayed for one night and didn't require much. We enjoyed the clean spacious room, the serenity and the overall hospitality. We will definitely be back again when we're in that area. read more

Definitely the best hotel in Twisp! I stayed here a while back, and it was so great. The people who run the place are fantastically warm and welcoming, and they will personally have breakfast with their guests every morning. Breakfast is amazing, by the way - all sorts of fresh fruits and delicious yogurt, bagels, granola, you name it! They've also got a wonderful little area down by the river where you can relax in a hammock, read a book, and go swimming if you want to. The rooms are beautifully done and the beds are comfy as heck. The only complaint I have is that the AC was cranked up so much when we arrived that our room was like the Arctic tundra, but that was easily fixed! read more
