It was a bit steep for a Monday evening, totaling $211 with taxes. Upon driving in, on the left hand side was an eyesore, reminiscent of the Texas Chainsaw massacre with car parts strewn all over the lawn, a bit eery. Maybe that's where you end up if you don't pay! The manager on duty was very polite, and let us check in a couple hours earlier than their normal check in. The maids were still cleaning the room when we arrived. They only allow one person at a time at the hotel desk so they abide by COVID rules. Every employee we came across wore masks. We stayed in the main building up on the second floor. Enter room. Very clean. On the left is a closet with permanent hangers and a vanity with soaps and lotions (beware the soap does not foam at all, was it really soap?), and then the bathroom. Lots of towels. In the room straight ahead is a loveseat and and A/C unit that works very well. There were two queen beds with that cute "you're on the river" bed posts. Quilted blankets for that homey feel. Pretty sure they aren't cleaning the quilts between guests though, didn't smell fresh. Pillows were comfy. Beds were firm, but I found it quite comfortable. They supply a mini fridge and a microwave and a coffee station. There is a tv, but it's about the size of a laptop monitor, pretty small. Normally they have a place where you can borrow DVD's to watch or board games to play, but during COVID, they are not doing that. The best part of the Inn is that our patio overlooked the River, which is very relaxing. The screen door fell off the tracks multiple times so I decided to just leave it parked at an angle outside the sliding glass door. They provided a citronella candle (nice touch) in case you didn't want to experience mosquito genocide. Not relaxing was the giant tree being escavated within our front view, and was loud, ruining an otherwise perfect view of the water. Before dinner, we laid out in the hammock and got some shut eye. After dinner we came back, as I had reserved an hour (they allow you to sign yourself up on a sheet outside the indoor pool on premises) for the pool and the hot tub. Beware, the hot tub.... it's hot. Burned my keister. :P The wi-fi was somewhat slow and made it somewhat difficult to plan the next days adventures. We still managed to get a decent nights sleep, and check out was quick and easy.

Excellent destination place to stay…read more Excellent place to stay. Very affordable with outstanding service. We spent two nights there. First night was in cabin 15. It was spacious and had a hot tub. The cabin was perfect for a nice time with my wife and I to get away and really relax. Cabin 14 was a nice cabin too. We stayed in this one our second night. No hot tub with this one but still very nice. The breakfast was great. The food options were diverse and tasty. Kendra personally offered to make us some terrific scrambled eggs because of my limited diet. I totally recommend this place if you want a great escape from the chaos that life sometimes throws at us.

While it rained west of the mountains, it was crisp and sunny in Winthrop. The cabin was nicely furnished with everything we needed plus more! We especially enjoyed the jetted bathtub and the comfortable bed. The kitchen was well supplied and included spices and new looking dishes and pots and pans. The cabin is nestled in trees so it seems private. The propane stove kept things toasty warm. We were able to come because our dog was a welcome guest. We will definitely be back again!

My room was one of the "budget" rooms, but it was clean and tidy. The lighting was a little dark, but I wasn't really in the room other than to sleep. They have a nice seating area in the open outside that has shade and seats. I spent a couple hours there just reading a book there. Staff was very friendly when I checked out. It's within walking distance to a pizzeria and a convenience store. My total tab was a little over $100. The larger rooms and cabins obviously cost more.

My sister and I enjoyed swimming there it was fun. Locker is available for a $1. There are 2 hot tubs available along with sauna and a steam room. We found steam room too cold though. I thought we got a room for a cabin, but stayed in a room since there was none available. At least they had microwave and a fridge to use. I suggest bring your portable range, frying pan and utencils in case you don't get to stay in cabin. Also bring your own sandwiches since there's only one restaurant next to the souvenir shop. The kitchen has all the appliances a group could need and kudos for having a dishwasher. one still gets access to the Resorts' Lagoon indoor pool, saunas and hot tubs which is a good bonus. The scenery around the area is truly mountain beauty with plenty of hiking trails. The service from the staff was always friendly and prompt. Being inside of the log cabin, there is absolutely NO noise and you feel completely insulated from the outside world. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need, a coffee maker, a microwave, full size fridge and stove and even an island in the middle of the kitchen. I even found a wine bottle opener - who would have thought. I spent the morning enjoying my breakfast on the covered porch that is more like a cabin length veranda. I am definitely going back in the winter. I can see where they have made a sledding run down the treeless hill and want to try that out. The owners daughter has her little kids unsupervised, running around the property bothering guests. I truly believe this is a concern that will be brought to somebody's attention. The kids seem neglected, Especially since it's located right by the water where they could get themselves into trouble. Upon arrival, me and my spouse went to check in to our "cabin" but we were met with a swarm of wasps right by the front door! Trash cans overflowing, unhelpful employees, kids already bothering us, pool was so dirty.  I asked for assistance with the television in my room and was told somebody would be right there to help me but nobody ever showed up. I am confident me and my partner made the right choice by never going there again.  I would not recommend Kelly's Resort.

The kitchen had everything you would need to cook fantastic meals. Just a 20-minute drive into Leavenworth where you'll find a quaint Bavarian village. Margaret, the owner, was a joy to deal with.
