The place is incredible. The service was quick and so friendly and helpful. The food was phenomenal!!! My husband is Mexican and wanted some chilaquiles. He understands that it might not be authentic but, when he tried it with the Tinga chicken, he loved it. We shared everything. We got the Elote and the cheese with curry. Everything was so good. I don't necessarily like the waiting in line for food, but to be honest as I'm always alone I sit at the bar and they take care of me. tldr; I like the spicy pork chicken, pay before seating. Decided to drop by here after watching the annular eclipse earlier this morning. Place has great decor and amazing service. There was a queue to line up, and someone came by to hand out menus. Once in front, I ordered and paid - you may want to get ready to calculate a service charge. Once done, they'll guide you where to sit. Each table will have a special tag on it like a stamp, but if you sit in the communal area they'll give you your own. You'll have to pick up your own utensils. I asked someone for a straw and they brought it to me. They also went the extra mile to say that the communal table Id be assigned was going to be filled up with a large group soon and she kindly relocated me to a 2-seater table and arranged for my tag to be reprogrammed. Pink Lemonade - 4/5 - nice little drink, no complaints Spicy pork noodles 5/5 - this is amazing! It's filled with tasty ingredients. I like a good amount of spice, and this was well done. I found myself digging into the noodles, peanuts, little pork patties and really having a great time with the sweet and spicy sauce. Can't recommend this more. read more

Spork has been on my "to try" list for years and it was so worth the wait! You stand in line, order at the counter, they assign you a table and bring the food to your table when it's ready. The atmosphere is warm and eclectic. The service is friendly, welcoming and knowledgeable about the food choices. We ordered a number of dishes to share at the table. The Bahm Mi was one of the best I've had. The bread was a perfect baguette-crisp crust, soft chewy crumb. The pork was flavorful and moist and pickled veggies were refreshing. I would have liked a bit more jalapeño but I love spice. The Dan Dan noodles are full of so many rich flavors and a nice amount of spice love the fresh veggies and seasoned nuts on top. I could literally write a symphony about the shrimp tacos. Really the best I have had. The crispy shrimp so well flavored complimented by crisp slaw and wrapped in a corn tortilla. Everything we had was excellent but the show stopper was the crispy rice salad. It was a seasonal special-crispy rice, honey crisp apples, greens, bean sprouts- all so delicious and unexpected. YUM! I was very impressed with Spork. The fusion of flavors works so well together. We had the brussel sprouts appetizer which came with labneh and it was delicious! Brussel sprouts roasted to perfection and the addition of the labneh was amazing. I got a regular chicken rice bowl with cucumber salad. The chicken is really flavorful - not bland. The cucumber salad is also amazing - it has a hint of sweetness. Casual atmosphere. I hope to come back and try more of the menu next time I'm in Bend. read more

Amazing restaurant experience! The ambiance, service, food, and drinks were all top notch! The shrimp and pork belly yellow curry was fantastic. The flavors, textures, and quality were outstanding, and the portion size was huge. My dining companions had the spicy fried chicken, and the Carnitas Sando and both were excellent! The Carnitas Sando in particular had a great combination of flavors and textures. The Burmese fried cheese appetizer was excellent, the texture of the cheese was very interesting and the tomato curry on top was so good! I also had the side salad, which was nothing to write home about, but did not take away from the experience overall Dessert options rotate, but we had the Mayan chocolate gelato, which was fantastic and a huge fortune cookie, which also was very tasty! I also tried the Maui Z cocktail and WOW! One of the most unique drinks I have ever had. The addition of fresh herbs really sends it over the top and I am going to do my best to replicate at home. Not sure if Spork is relatively new or we just missed it on previous visits. Easy, order at the counter and then get seated (or wait to be). Thai beef salad was excellent, fresh herbs with a poppin citrusy dressing. Dan Dan noodles were good but could have used some of the same fresh herbs found in the Thai beef salad. We chose this place as it had great reviews on yelp and I was very disappointed. It was fairly busy and they did have a list of both specials and regular items. I find cilantro to have a very distinct horrible flavor, so I made it very clear that if the two items I had chosen had cilantro I did not want them. She was kind enough to ask someone else to double check and then made notes in the computer about the cilantro. I chose a crispy rice and strawberry salad and the elotes. My husband ordered the yellow curry dish. Once our meals finally came I realized both of my dishes had cilantro! They did remake the salad, but I didn't realize until too late that that the corn must've had tiny pieces in the cilantro in it too. The salad was very dry but the strawberries were good in it. My husband thought the Curry was Ok but just like my salad there was way too much going on in it. There was a lot of mint in everything. Hipster/Trendy spot in Bend. Loved the interior design and the variety of menu items. The service was great, all employees were friendly and helpful! Favorite item for us was the Elote (grilled Corn). We also enjoyed the Fried Korean Chicken and Galbi. The shrimp tacos were okay, I wouldn't order this again. But overall, our experience was great. I'm going to try to find the words to describe how life changing Spork was. I was a bit skeptical about a place that claims they can do Mexican, Asian, and soul food, but man, was I impressed. There is a small parking lot and street parking. The restaurant is in a little strip mall and has limited outdoor seating. The inside is super cute and well decorated. You order first, and then they tell you where to sit, don't seat yourself. The person who took our order was very friendly and gave us some great information about the food. The only utensils that weren't reusable were the chopsticks, everything else came out in metal dishes. We had a mint apple lemonade, which was perfectly sweet and an unsweetened herbal tea, which was so good that I wish they sold it by the gallon. As an appetizer, we had chips and salsa. Both salsas were great, but my favorite was the green salsa. It was the perfect consistency and had a lot of flavor. We had carnitas tacos, shrimp tacos, and Dan Dan noodles. The tacos were to die for. They were a bit pricy for a taco but well worth the price. The carnitas are marinated in something delightful and were the best kind of juicy. The shrimp were crispy, and the toppings really complimented the flavor profile. The Dan Dan noodles were bigger than we expected and kinda spicy. We forgot to ask about that when ordering, but nothing else was spicy. I can't wait to stop back by next time we're in Bend. Everything we had really packed in the flavor. I came across Spork while reviewing travel blogs for Bend, OR. Pros - friendly staff, plenty of parking, near downtown, large space and clean. Cons - the food is not good. I'm always leary of fusion restaurants bc the ability to make one generie of food is difficult enough. This place missed the mark on both the asian and latin flavors. Lots of sweet flavors. The giant fortune cookie was adorable and had a slight sweetness to it, nothing overpowering. Spork was a tasty place for dinner! Dropped in on a Friday night around 730PM for dinner. Line was about 15 minutes long by my estimation - we got lucky and snagged seats at the bar. While we were waiting in line for a few minutes someone took a drink order so we did get to sit down with drinks in hand, that was nice. Decor inside was fairly unique with several standalone tables and booths seemingly built into the walls. Felt like a seat-yourself setup, but we were quickly corrected that tables were assigned when you order. I had the Thai Collins. She had the Maui Z. The latter was definitely superior and pretty addicting on the flavor front. For food we had the Brussels, Thai steak salad, and the dan Dan noodles. The Brussels were a nightly special and super delicious. Dan Dan noodles were very good but missing something that I couldn't put my finger on. I really enjoyed the Thai steak salad the most. We opted out of dessert on this occasion but that lime tres leches cake was very appealing. Service was prompt and friendly enough. We sat at the bar and were consistently taken care of. Nothing crazy or over the top surprising - but I don't feel we were wanting for anything throughout the meal. Overall, a solid meal! Would happily return. read more

I was hesitant because usually when there are too many different kinds of Asian cuisine it's usually not a good sign but I'm glad I was mistaken! First of all, the decor is to die for. The place inspired me to buy more plants when I got home. We ordered the Thai steak salad, Dan Dan noodles and spicy fried chicken. The Thai steak salad was really good. I was expecting more of a papaya salad, which is popular in Thailand, but it was more of a normal salad with Thai ingredients. I especially liked that the dressing was made from fish sauce. The Dan Dan noodles were just ok. The sauce felt like it was missing something but I'm not sure what it needed. Instead of having peanut sauce, they add real peanuts, which also threw me off a little. It wasn't a bad dish just wasn't the best that we had. The spicy fried chicken was definitely the star of the meal. The fried chicken was actually better than some places in LA and I loved it. read more

Went to Sporks for dinner we end up taking the food to go. As we walked in I noticed all the beautiful plants hanging from the ceiling. The restaurant had a good vibe to it. We had the Rice Bowl with chicken and Kimchi so very go. The flavors were so yummy. My BF had the Carnitas tacos he said they were very good. Tourists from Good food areas in Ca. Spork was awesome. Creative, vibrant, interesting. Saw couples on dates to young families with varied age kids. Busy place.... they ask that you don't post up at a table until you order. We had 8 peeps so there was a little ...... hmmm will we get a seat concern. Got drinks ordered while waiting in line super interesting cocktails. The person taking our order was appearnaly the manager but had injured an extremity. She was awesome and seemed to have a great finger on the pulse of the whole place despite being hobbled. We got a nice table outside once we ordered. Food was awesome. While eating, we had flash rain that sent many patrons running for cover. We moved our 2 tables under the sidewalk area so all was good. Otherwise that would have been an interesting dilemma.... I know... what an overreaction... this restaurant is such a gem and no other place can even replicate the unique amazing experience this restaurant has to offer! I have been coming here before covid... since 2018 about... and we just came for the first time since we ordered takeout in 2020. Another part about what makes this place great is we do not live in Bend, so this is not a regular for us. I was scared the food wasn't going to be as good as it was before, but I was so happy when I took a bite out of their fried chicken and it was the same flavor and taste and aroma like it was before! Spork has such a unique flavor palette and they mix cultures and flavors so well. You need to order the fried chicken for sure.. if u like fresh Korean food, their Korean short ribs are really good. Their carnitas sando has always been amazing, and if it's available, there is this stew I forgot the name that is amazing (I'll put photo down below) The atmosphere was the same, and they had their same nostalgic aroma.. if anything, the atmosphere was better since they had an expansion in 2022 giving them more bar space! Service was so friendly and great like before, and such a weird thing to add but they have such decorative and clean bathrooms! You definitely need to give Spork a try. We arrived for an early dinner on a Monday around 4:45 and by 5:00 the place was already filled. You order at the counter and then they give you a place to sit. By 5:30 there was already A hugeee line in the restaurant. If you haven't been here since Covid, another thing that changed is you do not bus your own tables anymore! Food was a 4 but the service was amazing so I rounded up to a 5! It was such a busy night at Spork, probably because of spring break, and the line stretched out the door. I was confused by the takeout process so I wound up at the pick up counter, but one of the servers was kind enough to still take my order - so sweet of her. It took about 20-30 to be made since it was so busy. Fried chicken - perfectly cooked, saucy, and juicy. Loved the crispness of it even after driving back to the hotel. It was lacking a little something, so it was just right after I added a pack of Tabasco to it Salad - woww so refreshing! The mixed herbs were so bright and all the textures played well together. Everything abt it was great, This is something id like to recreate one day! Grilled veggies - id pass next time. Idk if I've ever knowingly had liquid smoke before but this tasted like smoke straight out of bottle. Not my fav 2 out of three dishes is pretty good!
