Thai iced coffee
Ed D.

Quaint little Thai restaurant but there's actually a decent amount of seating inside and the outside patio. Seems to be a family business so I'm glad I could support. The cashier/waitress had her cute daughter and grandma sitting while she worked. I got a Thai iced coffee which was good. For dinner, I got the chicken pad see eew which came out super fast within minutes but was so fresh and yummy. It was mixed with American and Chinese broccoli. It was a big portion so I really couldn't finish it. Prices were very reasonable. Great find for Thai food near my hotel.

Came on a weekend for lunch right at opening. No wait. Plenty of parking in the lot. The owners are also from Thailand! They have a cute little patio space with heaters. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. We ordered the lunch special which is a decent deal where you get a small portion of an appetizer, noodles, and Thai tea. Definitely recommend it if you are getting Thai tea. Pad Thai 5/5 Super flavorful and delicious. Some of the best pad thai I've had in the peninsula! Pad see ew 4/5 Also delicious and decent wok flavor. But not the best I've ever had. Highly recommend this place for Thai on the peninsula. I'm definitely coming back for the pad thai!

Omelette.

Ordered the omelette. The favor profile leans sour. The issue for me was that the rice was cooked unevenly, bits of it were crunchy but not in the nice way. Not 锅巴, but undercooked. Underwhelming

Small, cozy place with nice fresh lighting and a really open layout. They have an open kitchen which is always cool you can watch them making your food right there. Came with a group of 10 and they were able to accommodate us no problem, which is always appreciated for larger parties. We ordered the creamy tom yum goong with Thai omelet, Thai grilled pork skewers, crispy golden fish, and pad kee mao. The food was decent overall. The standout for me was the tom yum flavor with the omelet that combination was very yummy and something a little different. The portions were solid for what you're paying, and everything came out fresh. For a spot that can handle a big group, serve up good Thai food, and keep the vibe relaxed and comfortable, the value is there. It's not trying to be fancy, just quality Thai dishes done well in a nice atmosphere. Would definitely come back, especially if I'm with a group and need a spot that can accommodate without sacrificing the quality of the food or experience

Shrimp tom yung goong omurice

I came here on a weekday morning at 9am. I ordered the Tom yum goong omurice. I didn't know what omurice is so I was excited to try something new. It was your basic Thai flavors as the name suggests, not far off from a red curry, with rice, scrambled eggs, and some other things of which there could have been more. Nothing that knocked my socks off but I think they earn 5 stars by being an ethnic restaurant open for breakfast. Hard to get anything this flavorful before 11am, and I've always wanted to have these kind of options available at breakfast time, or maybe some other ethnic food I've never heard of.

I had a wonderful dinner here and can't stop thinking about it. From the moment I walked in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting vibes.

This restaurant has has its own parking lot. They have indoor and outdoor dining. We walked up to the counter to place and pay for our order. We ordered the Thai Iced Tea, Chicken Pad Thai, Gai Yang, and Larb Pork Salad. Our food came out in a timely manner. The cashier brought the food to our table. The Thai Iced Tea had the perfect amount of sweetness to it. We can taste sweetness and sourness of the tamarind in the Pad Thai sauce. The dressing for the pork larb salad was very tart. They put too much lime juice. The chicken in the Gai Yang was tender, but there was nothing really special about it.

Spoon and Fork in Belmont is officially my new brunch obsession. This spot blends Thai flavors with classic brunch comfort, and every dish was a hit. Ordered the S&F Chickoissant (crispy chicken + buttery croissant = perfection), the Creamy Tom Yum Goong Omurice (silky omelet in a rich, tangy tom yum sauce -- SO good), the refreshing Avo Caprese, and the Thai Banoffee French Toast, which is basically dessert heaven. Plates come out beautifully presented, flavors are bold but balanced, and the space is bright, modern, and super photogenic. Service was warm and attentive, too. If you're looking for a unique breakfast/brunch in the Bay, this place deserves a spot on your list. I'll absolutely be back!

Lovely breakfast spot! The avo carese with mozzarella and cherry tomatoes was so fresh and delicious Monkey Morning pancakes topped with bananas and berries were perfectly Yummy. Sunrise Tom yum scramble Everything looked beautiful and tasted even better. The staffs are very nice and good service A refreshing, feel-good start to the day!

Pleasantly surprised by this place. My husband and I tried the basil beef and chicken pad Thai and both dishes were amazing, we'll be back to try more items next time we are in the area. The service here is also very friendly and the food was ready so quickly, but it was hot and fresh.

Special menu: We got the Stir fried crispy pork belly over rice which was a harmonious flavor. Rice was hard, though.
Saemlinh I.

Pro: Food was great. But... Con: The rice had hard parts. We also did not get plasticware with our food, which our hotel was able to assist with. Special menu: We got the Stir fried crispy pork belly over rice which was a harmonious flavor. Rice was hard, though. Pad See Eiw with beef. And they have a lot of meat. 4 out of 5. They have lots of seating and the hostess was very nice.

I found Spoon and Fork while I was in the area. It's a small, fast casual restaurant where you order at the counter and sit down and wait until your order is ready. I ordered the fried wontons, moo yang with rice and a Thai iced tea. This came out to $32 without tip, which is quite pricey for a lunch by myself. I do have to say the food was really good and I would definitely go back but what peeved me was that I ordered less ice or the Thai iced tea and they don't fill it up to the top. I wish some restaurants would just do small things to make their customers happy and happy customers will keep on returning and returning even if the food is pricey. But yeah, if I'm in the area, I would definitely come back and try their other items, including the lunch specials. Cute and cozy place for a quick meal along El Camino Real.

Yummy!!

A cozy spot serving authentic Thai morning comfort food. The dishes come out fresh, flavorful, and beautifully balanced -- from their aromatic Tom Yum Omelette Omurice to perfectly seasoned stir-fried classics. Portions are generous, the ingredients taste high-quality, and the warm service makes the experience even better. A great place to start the day with real Thai flavors.

The space is very nice, casual yet inviting. Service was also good, attentive young staff. No issues with either. I went pretty early on a Saturday evening and it filled up pretty quickly within the hour. The menu is small, honestly was expecting a bit more choices. I ordered the "popular" dish, Jajangmyeon- and was excited to try it finally! Unfortunately I found it to be very bland. I asked for hot sauce to see if I could spice up the flavor but it only made it "hot". Maybe I was eating it wrong? We also got the stir-fried vegetable noodles which were much tastier! And also the sweet and sour chicken, I appreciated that they brought the sauce on the side. Unsure if I'll return, unless I have a Korean friend to come with! Any takers?

This spot is small but spacious, the place was nearly full when we came in. Service is super fast, our food was served before even waiting 5 minutes. This location is kind of small, so there may be a little bit of a wait on busier days like the weekend. For a party of 2 on a Tuesday night, we only had to wait 5 minutes. Not sure if they're able to accommodate larger groups. The staff are friendly and attentive (but very busy). We ordered their beef noodle soup and chili noodles. I loved how fresh their noodles tasted and both dishes had a lot of flavor. The only thing I didn't love was the meat texture (had a lot of fat). The portions were good and we left very full. I recommend splitting these two dishes so you can try both!

The restaurant is tiny, with only about 8-10 tables, so that definitely contributes to the wait. The staff was super friendly and efficient despite being so busy. They even gave us menus to order while we waited, so our food came out really quickly once we were seated! We ordered the Singapore Rice Noodles, House Special Chow Fun, Pepper Clay Pot, and Walnut Shrimp, and everything was delicious! Singapore Rice Noodles: My favorite! The noodles weren't dry, and the curry flavor wasn't overpowering. House Special Chow Fun: Huge portion, packed with meat, and not dry at all. Pepper Clay Pot: Super flavorful, and the crispy rice was AMAZING. They also give you soy sauce to pour over it. Walnut Shrimp: Huge shrimp, a light coating, and the perfect sauce!!! Not overly sweet or too thick. Overall, everything was flavorful, the portions were generous, and each dish had its own unique taste. The wait was long, but the food and friendly service made it worth it. Definitely recommend checking this place out, just be prepared to wait!

*** U P D A T E ***…read more It's been a few years since our first visit to this cozy and casual Chinese eatery, but we still think about Blue Sky every now and then. It's rare that we're in this area, but we made a point to come back from SSF and give them another try. Like our first visit, there was a waitlist! We got here on a weekday at lunchtime around 12:30, and there were 3 parties ahead of us. Thankfully, the wait was only about 15 minutes this time. The owner was friendly and welcoming. Once we sat down, it took us forever to decide what we wanted to order! We ended up placing our order with the owner, but you can also order through the QR code on the table. *** O U R P I C K S *** BEEF CHOW FUN ~ good flavor and wok hei. We really enjoyed this dish! So much so that we ate the rest for dinner too! 5/5 PUMPKIN WITH SALTED EGG YOLK ~ this was a memorable dish for me from our first visit, so I definitely wanted to have it again this time. Still very good! The pumpkin is mildly sweet, while the salted egg yolk adds a little saltiness that balances everything out. 5/5 SWEET AND SOUR PORK ~ something we almost never order, but my partner was craving something sweet and tangy. The meat was nicely fried, so it didn't get too soggy even after being coated in the sauce. Good dish that seems popular among their customers. 4/5 BAKED PORTUGUESE BEEF STEW WITH SPAGHETTI ~ out of all the dishes, this one was bland and our least favorite. The sauce had more of a mild yellow curry flavor with coconut milk. It also didn't really look baked, since there was no browning on top that you'd normally expect from a baked dish. The stew itself was good, but we probably wouldn't order this one again. 3/5 Generous portions for every dish! Two people could easily get away with ordering just one dish and be satisfied. But with so many tempting choices on the menu, it's hard to order just one! Now we have tons of leftovers that'll last us for a few days! Oh, and the owner gave us a sample of their homemade hot chili sauce. It was tasty and savory, but nothing too spicy. My partner enjoyed it so much that he wanted a jar to take home! So we bought one to go for $8. With so many good things on the menu, we'll definitely have to come back again sooner than later. Already thinking about what we'll order next! Can't wait!!

Noodles were chewier than most beef noodle soups I've had and the beef pieces were very tender and soft. The soup wasn't too spicy by itself and had alot of depth and flavor. -Pro-tip: There is a little self-serve station near the kitchen where you can get add'l condiments like cilantro, green onion, chili, and pickled daikon. SCORE. Add in the cilantro/green onion for a flavor explosion. -Ordered one of the combo noodles + 2 sides. For my sides, I got a blanched bok choy and a fried gyoza. The bok choy was needed to help cut the spiciness of the soup and to add veggies b/c without it, you'd just be having carbs, beef, and soup. Gyoza was a win too. Service: FAST and friendly, just how I like my non-fine dining restaurant experiences. You scan a QR code at the table and then choose an english/chinese option. If you have questions, you can ask the staff, but there isn't a TON of options to choose from, so make it easy on yourself and order a noodle soup. Ambiance: Ample seating at 1:30pm on a Sunday.
