The papaya salad was good but a bit on the sour end and not fishy or spicy enough tbh (I even got medium spicy)! The pad see ew was really yummy and had good fried flavor. Came here on Saturday afternoon with a party of six- 3 adults and 3 children. Unfortunately, they were not currently serving brunch or breakfast items. But they did have the Thai menu options. There were two or three parties inside the restaurant, so we sat outside on the front patio. There was just one server working and it took quite a while to get menus, place our order, and for our food to come. It took a very long time for all the dishes we ordered to come out- maybe 30 minutes from when the first dish came out and when everyone got their food. We ordered the red curry with rice, pad see ew, pad kee Mao, the beef salad, the chicken satay, Thai iced tea, and Thai iced coffee. The food was decent and tasty but took a very long time. I wouldn't come back if I had somewhere to be or had to keep to a schedule. I enjoyed the chance to catch up with friends over a meal. read more

The cashier/waitress had her cute daughter and grandma sitting while she worked. I got a Thai iced coffee which was good. New management, same name. The new owner rushed back from Bangkok for the opening of the restaurant in mid-Sept. I have been back a couple of times and really enjoyed the food. There were some issues at soft opening but is to be expected. I haven't seen it yet but owner was planning on opening for breakfast soon, if not already. Tried the Pad See Ew, Pad Krapow, and a green curry. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. I like that there is outdoor seating to enjoy the nice Peninsula weather. Came on a weekend for lunch right at opening. No wait. Plenty of parking in the lot. The owners are also from Thailand! They have a cute little patio space with heaters. You order at the counter and they bring the food to you. We ordered the lunch special which is a decent deal where you get a small portion of an appetizer, noodles, and Thai tea. My wife and I usually go here monthly since it opened, so it is with great disappointment that I write this review. It has been a number of months since I have been here. In that time a new team acquired this business. And unfortunately the new management team changed the menu for the worse. I LOVED the Pad Kee Mao with ground chicken--great taste and the noodles were perfectly cooked. It was one if the best Thai dishes that I have had and really satisfied my need for great rice noodles. When I brought home this dish last night I could tell first by the smell, then by looking at it that my favorite dish was no longer available. In its place was a very unremarkable version. I came here on a weekday morning at 9am. I ordered the Tom yum goong omurice. I didn't know what omurice is so I was excited to try something new. It was your basic Thai flavors as the name suggests, not far off from a red curry, with rice, scrambled eggs, and some other things of which there could have been more. Overall a solid thai food place. Is it a must visit from across the bay area? Probably not. Is it a good spot if you want thai food and are in the area, definitely! I would especially recommend anyone who lives in the area to try it out as the flavors definitely did not disappoint. Getting there: Even though its on the main street (el camino), there is a dedicated parking lot and its far away enough from downtown belmont where you should also be able to get a street parking spot. Food: Overall, the taste of the food was delicious and comparable to other worthy thai restaurants in the area. Mimicking other reviews (definitely not a one off issue) is that the portions are on the smaller side compared to other thai areas, which may lead people to effectively spend more than other thai restaurants. It was enough of a draw back for me to knock it down a star. read more

I found Spoon and Fork while I was in the area. It's a small, fast casual restaurant where you order at the counter and sit down and wait until your order is ready. I ordered the fried wontons, moo yang with rice and a Thai iced tea. This came out to $32 without tip, which is quite pricey for a lunch by myself. I do have to say the food was really good and I would definitely go back but what peeved me was that I ordered less ice or the Thai iced tea and they don't fill it up to the top. I wish some restaurants would just do small things to make their customers happy and happy customers will keep on returning and returning even if the food is pricey. I live near this restaurant, and I think at this point I've eaten there, mostly solo for lunch, at least 40 times over the years. I really enjoy it as a reliable lunch spot, and the service is always warm and friendly. The stir fry dishes are my favorites, especially the sweet basil chicken. Today I had the string beans with beef for the first time in a long while, and really enjoyed the lightly cooked string beans and beef that was tender. Medium spicy is nicely warm here. I rarely order hotter; I prefer to request the condiments box, which has hot sauce, chili flakes, spicy vinegar, and spicy fish sauce, and to dose extra heat and funky flavors to taste. In colder months I often order Green or Penang curry; they have good flavor and benefit from a little extra fish sauce from the condiments box.
