The management doesn't respond to complaints. The room descriptions are not for this facility but for willowbrook. The facility is falling down. The pool has ceiling tiles falling down into the pool and hitting guests. The carpets are not vacuumed often. Vomit has been on corridor rug since we arrived on Saturday. The fire suppression system is leaking in the bowling area--buckets are the solution. Nothing is open -- not the bar, restaurants or outdoor pool. Coffee bar only comes out after 5 pm. Charge exhorbiant resort fee for the state of facilities and fact everything closed. Only positive is arcade employees and one front desk employee. Management non existent. Only activity due to wine fest.

Does not have what is advertised! Dirty outside, cigarette butts outside on steps. Pool area had mold on the floor. The restaurants advertised are closed. Public areas not air conditioned! No reception for TV.

    A very busy arcade.

I am not getting a warm and fuzzy feeling reading a lot of these reviews and not sure why. We came up with some friends and stayed in a villa across the street from the main lodge and had a wonderful time. It was two bedrooms with a hot tub and sauna. It was amazing we walked into a very clean environment and just had to set it up for ourselves for the next couple of days I always feel that people come to certain places with certain expectations that are not easily met also there is very little that can't be fixed so before you complain about it see what can be done to rectify the situation. All we did was enjoy our three days up in the Poconos. We took some drives around the area, cooked some fun meals and went to the main building one night to go to the game room play some. Participated in bingo, trivia but not bowling, which was available to us. The staff here is fabulous and helped any way they could. It snowed while we were up there and the plows came quickly and cleared up everything as quick as can be to make the driving easy for us very easy. This was my first time up here and hopefully we'll be returning next year with our friends. KUDOs to the team at Split Rock Resort.

    bed bugs

truly don't know where to begin. When we arrived to check in, they had run out of room keys. Every time we left the room, we had to wait for a security guard to walk us back and unlock it, which continued until about midnight on our first day. The room was extremely outdated and in serious need of improvement. There was a terrible smell throughout the room that was absolutely disgusting. The water was either freezing cold or burning hot, making it impossible to shower comfortably. To make matters worse, out of the nine rooms my family rented, we found bedbugs in seven of them. When I went to speak to the manager the next morning to report the issue, she casually asked if we would like them to wash our clothes and said, "It's not a big deal." That response was completely unacceptable and showed a lack of concern for the seriousness of the situation. Overall, this experience was extremely disappointing and upsetting.

I found it pretty much extremely boring inside the water park as there was nothing to do if you're not a kid besides the lazy river which is always packed to the brim. When i was in the lazy river i remember seeing a CRAZY amount of mold behind the seats like i was genuinely surprised especially as it was a saturday and saturdays are always packed so you wouldn't of thought to clean the seats? I also thought the way you leave was pretty confusing at first but it's clearly marketed for you to buy something before leaving. and also all of the employees looked overworked and tired even when it was within the first hour of opening. Overall it's a nice park but if you're a parent coming with sons or daughters who are above the age of 10 maybe find alternatives like, GWL or kahalhari which are for all ages and less than a hour west. overall 2.5/5

We had a few minor hiccups with our room, but the kindness of the staff truly made the experience worthwhile. A huge thank you to **JP, the arcade manager**, for being so incredibly kind and accommodating to my family, especially my nonverbal son. His patience and willingness to make him comfortable meant more to me than he probably realizes. Also, a special shoutout to the **lovely young lady with the cornrows at the ice cream parlor**. She was so patient, welcoming, and hospitable with our family. And **Rich, the train conductor**, was absolutely wonderful! He was so kind and knowledgeable about the area. After coming to Kalahari for all these years, I had no idea there was a waterfall nearby until he recommended it! Now I can't wait to come back and explore more of the area. Thank you to the Kalahari staff who made our family feel welcomed and cared for. **We'll definitely be back!**

At 6PM, my daughter couldn't even use the bathroom because of the way the restrooms smelled. The attendants have not have been cleaning during the day at all and no where to be seen at all. The restrooms and bathrooms both smelled like urine and had not cleaned in days. There was no toilet paper in any of the stalls we tried, and used toilet paper was left all over the floor. The water in the showers and sinks was cold, there were puddles everywhere, and there was nowhere reasonable to change out of wet swimsuits. I understand lines get long near closing time on a busy Saturday -- that's expected and not really anyone's fault. But there were no bathroom attendants at all restocking supplies or cleaning during the day, which is a management and staffing issue, not a "busy day" issue. A family water park should have working, stocked, sanitary restrooms available for kids all day, especially on a Saturday when the park is at its busiest.
