If I could leave 0 star I would, Debbie ( AKA Debbie Downer) is the most horrible person and rude , she has kids(13 or 14yrs old) on the golf Cart selling pudding alcohol shots, she is not professional at all. The perfect campground for weekends or parties. Not a lot of room for a 42 foot 5th wheel. The office staff were amazing! Definitely a lot to do and the outlet mall is only 20 mins away and other stores as well. It is on the side of the mountain so when it rains they have to fill in the ruts. You must drive 5 miles per hour. Only rating 3 due to the level of our site and not super big rig friendly. read more

This is probably one of the worst campgrounds I've been to. They have every camp space packed together to tightly. Barely any room to park cars and have space for your tent. The group camping next to you is essentially in the same campground as you with no privacy or separation. You can see in the picture here, there are actually 4 different campsites all in the same photo. Also there are no restrictions to noise and it is so hard to sleep at night with people playing music until midnight. The campgrounds are literally in someone's backyard, you can see the lights from the local houses from the campsite. We have gone camping many times and never have I felt so NOT in touch with nature. We were basically in the middle of a loud party with no privacy at all. read more

Worst camping ground ever!!!! Do not go there. Bathroom was so nasty!!!! Out of 3 toilets 2 of them didnt work. They take "cash" $25 deposit and they will find any and every excuse to take your money!! They told us there r tiny noodles on the ground!! And we should go back up to pick up all the tiny noodles on the ground in order to get my deposit back and I just told them to keep it. Bottom line there r so many other nice well managed camping grounds near by. Stay away from this one!!!! read more

My family of 16 rented 2 cabins for about 4 nights at mount pocono. The setup is a little bit weird, as you have to drive down a residential street to get into the campground. It is a basic campground with a nice 10 ft pool, a kiddie pool, volley ball courts, a playground, etc. The highlight of my experience at this campground was the nature trail. It was one of the prettiest hikes I'd ever been on. In the first quarter mile of the trail, there is a beautiful abandoned stone house. Very interesting and cool to explore! Also, the cabins were very clean but small, as expected. Overall, my family had a good experience here. read more

The campsite is great but the owner Debbie is the rudest and most unprofessional person I have ever met. She is not fit to run a business. The night we arrived she spoke down to us because our dog was barking (guess what Debbie, DOGS BARK). The next day she made us leave the pavilion, again because the dog was barking, he is a sweet german shepherd and is not aggressive, he was making sure our kids were safe in the pool. Even after we were nice and explained, she still treated us like she was yelling at children. The last day, she had to make sure the site was spotless, even making us pick up leaves and dog food. She even checked under the table and made sure the plants around the area were not harmed. She clearly does not know how to speak to people. It's a shame since the campground was nice. The experience was ruined by an aggressive owner. We would never go there again. read more

This is our second year at this campground. Sue in the office and Debbie the owner are absolutely amazing. They were so accommodating and made our much needed weekend highly enjoyable. I highly recommend this campground. It was so quite and relaxing. The spots are spacious even for our 40' class A. Do not listen to the other bad reviews please experience for yourself. We stayed at Mt Pocono Campground for 2 months in a 41 foot motorhome. This campground is big rig friendly. This is a very family-oriented campground and they even made us feel like family. They have sites in the woods and some in an open area where we were for the two months. The pool is a good size. They have a DJ there on Friday night, Saturday at the pool with games for the family and Saturday night. They have a dog park that is a nice size and is pea gravel. At first I was not sure about this but it made for a clean dog run. Verizon has service but is slow. Campground has WiFi with good reception but not allowed to stream movies. If you need anything, just ask Debbie and she will try to accommodate your request. The pricing was very good for the monthly rate and even better for seasonal. We will definitely come back when we visit family. We are leaving tomorrow and it feels like we are leaving home. Thank you Debbie and your staff for being a great host. read more

Let me tell you about our horrible experience. We rented a campsite on July 20th we were supposed to stay until July 23rd but cut our trip short to 1 day. I reserved the campsite under my name and my credit card. I was also camping with my mother and her husband who happened to get there before us so checked in ahead of time. When I arrived for check in I paid the deposit, did the covid fever check and was sent on my way without being explained anything else. Once quiet hours started we turned off our music and realized we needed more firewood but the store closes at 11pm. I admit we grabbed pieces of twigs that were near by on the ground to keep our fire going. Then a random guy came over to us didn't even introduce himself and started going off on us that we couldn't burn anything from the forest and told us to take it out of the fire despite it being already inflamed. After asking him who he was he told us he was the security so of course I call the office to complain about his rude approach (The security even went to the extent to mock us to the neighbor and taunting us that he was going to keep our deposit) only to realize that the owner Debbie was even ruder. She drove up to our campsite like a crazy women marched over to us and started yelling at us as if we were her children. She explained that it was explained to us during check in that we were not to burn anything in the woods which number one was never explained to me and I apologized to her over and over again for doing so because we didn't know ! We even explained to her that we only did so because the store was closed and she then told us we could've called the office phone number to purchase more which again was never explained to us. She claimed that my signature was on document for a list of the rules which was not it was my mother's since she checked in before us. I then explained to her that my mother isn't fluent in English which Debbie responded with a racist comment that whoever is in the United States has to speak English. My mother is a citizen and a first responder we didn't go away to go camping to be treated so rudely and poorly I will never again in my life be returning here. She then returned during the night to drunkly apologize for her rudeness only to find out the next day that she was still just as rude and tried to hold off on our deposit. Once she realized that I never signed anything she had no choice but to give us back our deposit we were kicked out of her campsite I had to rush all my children out of the pool because she threatened to call the cops for being on her property. I used to camp here at least twice a year growing up when the previous owners had the campground. Came up for the first time in almost 10+ years and I have to say the improvements make the campground almost unrecognizable!! I was beyond impressed!!! We had a mini weekend vacation thanks to an event in the area, so we didn't spend much time at the campground, but we could have come up and never left because there was so much to do!! Weekend seasonal activities, a hiking trail, playground, game room and if we came in the summer a pretty awesome pool too! We rented a trailer from Debbie and the trailer was just perfect!!! It was bigger than we needed, but we loved having all of the little comforts of home! There were even chairs for us to use around the fire!! The campsites are REALLY clean, the trailer rentals are REALLY clean, and the bathhouse was REALLY clean! This is a HUGE must for me and they did a really nice job!! When we checked in, Debbie was more than accommodating and was very informative about activities for the weekend! We purchased wood for the fire in the camp office upon arrival and she even gave us some newspaper and fire starters!! I could seriously go on and on...I CANNOT WAIT for our trip again next year!! the wife and i just got us a new flagstaff model 205 fully loaded pop up camper and went here for the first time . wow this place is cool very well kept spotless bathrooms. check it out if you like camping !! we are going back . we are going all over camping with our new camper so i will yelp on them as we go to them next year as the season is almost over. read more

All I can say is MY BAD for not reading the reviews prior to booking. Debbie sure does put on a good show at first, but the true RUDE colors sure do come out. We've been seasonal campers for 4 years, at the same campground. Decided this coming season to try somewhere new. Stopped to pick a site back in October, and at the same time picked a site for our friends as well (who are first time seasonal campers, looking forward to a season spent with us). Paid November's payment at this time. Took the contract home, filled it out and returned it via mail, forgetting to keep a copy for myself. Emailed the campground and Debbie in December when the next payment was due, asking where to send the payment and also offering to make a phone payment if possible. No response from anyone. Sent another email a few weeks later, asking if she'd gotten my last email, again no response. Now I'll be the first to admit, I'm not perfect and I'm not digging for excuses, but I work nights and don't get much sleep and just didn't think to call the campground, since they were closed for the winter. So instead, I put the money to the side every month, December, January, February and March, thinking I'd call once they open and just pay it all at once. Approximately 30 days prior to opening day, I received a letter from Debbie saying my site was cancelled due to non payment. So I immediately called her to explain and let her know that the emails I had sent were proof that I was trying to make the payments. She was immediately rude, spoke down to me, treated me like I literally committed a crime! I apologized, explained that we had friends who got a seasonal site only because we did and another family who booked a bunch of weekends to camp with us, she said she'd refund their money and they can cancel. I also explained that there were a total of 7 young children excitingly looking forward to spending the summer together and she didn't give a damn. I offered to make the entire season payment right then and there over the phone, she refused it. She eventually hung up on me. Like a 13 year old child, hung up the phone on me. Not an ounce of understanding that people aren't perfect and that if she'd have responded to my emails, this would've never happened. She is just 100% a mean human being. We are a good hard working family, and would've been an excellent edition to the campground. After reading the other negative reviews about her, I'm glad it turned out this way. Definitely her loss. We stayed at Mount Pocono Campground for a week in July. We arrived in two separate groups and check in time was 2:00 pm. The first group that arrived at 1:00pm was asked to pay a $10.00 fee even though the park model that we rented was unoccupied. Not a good start. On the second day there my friend lost her wedding ring in the volleyball sand. Our group looked for about three hours with no luck. When she went to tell the owners thinking he would offer some kind of assistance his response was "sorry for your loss". We thought the least he could have done is come down and rake the sand or maybe find us a medal detector to use. On Thursday I was able to get my hands on a medal detector but we really didn't have enough time to locate the ring. When I checked out the owner was very cold and impersonal with me but with others in the office that were checking in and must have been regulars she was very friendly towards them. She never mentioned anything about if they found the ring or if it was found they would contact us, which is something she could have said. We won't be staying there anytime soon!! read more
