4 campsites in one photo, packed in next to each other
    Mallika G.

This is probably one of the worst campgrounds I've been to. They have every camp space packed together to tightly. Barely any room to park cars and have space for your tent. The group camping next to you is essentially in the same campground as you with no privacy or separation. You can see in the picture here, there are actually 4 different campsites all in the same photo. Also there are no restrictions to noise and it is so hard to sleep at night with people playing music until midnight. The campgrounds are literally in someone's backyard, you can see the lights from the local houses from the campsite. We have gone camping many times and never have I felt so NOT in touch with nature. We were basically in the middle of a loud party with no privacy at all.

Abandoned stone house on the nature trail

My family of 16 rented 2 cabins for about 4 nights at mount pocono. The setup is a little bit weird, as you have to drive down a residential street to get into the campground. It is a basic campground with a nice 10 ft pool, a kiddie pool, volley ball courts, a playground, etc. The highlight of my experience at this campground was the nature trail. It was one of the prettiest hikes I'd ever been on. In the first quarter mile of the trail, there is a beautiful abandoned stone house. Very interesting and cool to explore! Also, the cabins were very clean but small, as expected. Overall, my family had a good experience here.

It's the best campground for me. Small family owned campground. Quality service and clean.

There's always a ton going on throughout the weekend with activities and entertainment, so people definitely stay busy. The food truck on site was also a huge hit. We appreciate the positive partnership and look forward to future events together!

I was taken aback at the size of the foot print and acrage here. Its HUGE and very hilly. Its very spread out. We came for one night to check it out and it was a Thursday so not much going on, which was expected. The pool was nice and clean, however closed early. There was little to no cell phone signal (AT&T or Verizon) or Wifi which needs to be addressed as it is a safety issue. The overall infrastructure is there but needs some work. There were many old seaonals that looked abandoned and run down and campers that needed to junked. THe store was nice and had a cool lounge area attached. The pavillion was also nice and close to where the bon fires are held. Our RV site was easy to pull into and hookup which was appreciated. The staff were friendly. I would come back but on a weekend to see more people and activities.

Most sites that we could see had a definitive slant to it. Also, the one way roads route you through the permanent residents every time you come into the park. Worth getting over though because the people running the place are extremely friendly and helpful. Our month stay here was very enjoyable. We did not get to use the pool but it looked great. (daughter was sick - then it was raining). The little playground was nice. We would probably stay here again if we thought we could get a flatter site. Everything else was great.

This place is clean, my girls commented the bathrooms were super clean, the grounds were well manicured. A pool was offered, a mini front office/store, and bingo. You will be assigned a key card to re-enter the grounds, there is a gate at the front with only one road for incoming and outgoing. Owners were very nice. There are a few rules and might sound a little strict but any sensible camper won't have any issues. I can see where the Pocono Speedway could bring in the party people, again I had no issues. We stayed here as were doing Camelback adventures which was conveniently 10 minutes away. 15 min away is a Walmart, CVS. I would stay here again, and cost was reasonable. My site had full hookup.

The ATVs, however, race around at top speed at all hours. One of the drivers was especially reckless and should be let go or reassigned. It is, indeed, hard to make friends with the perm-site residents. At brunch, somebody (just one person) asked what I did before retiring; "Metropolitan Opera music staff" was met with total silence. Conversation over. But, really, who can blame them for being a little insular? They have built a friendship circle and maintained it for decades. They are happy. However, they are definitely not motivated to engage outsiders. Although these are generally pleasant, exceptionally kind, people...anybody interested in art, politics, drama, literature, or in anything other than banal pleasantries might be bored here. Even sexual banter is hard to come by in these parts. Recollections from the Saturday night bonfire: A Puerto-Rican No-Longer-Boy danced on a picnic table like an aggrieved postal worker who, as a punchline in some long-forgotten 70s sitcom, had been requisitioned the short pants of his Postal Service Summer Uniform two non-trivial sizes too small. Then there is the crowd who take the proposition 'display of the nude human form is by definition beautiful' with absurd earnestness, apparently deeming themselves so beautiful that the occasional "and then I sh@t right in my pants!" might be swept under the rug. In truth, any faint mists of dignity had been swept away early in the season with the Poison Ivy. "No, YOU are a c#nt b#tch!" slices the air, absent any proper foreshadowing. "It was the organ player! The ORGAN player!!!..." rang out from some quarter, with that particular, highly stylized urgency of tone and timbre that one used to hear in dive bars with names like "The Flame" or "The Candle." You get the picture.
