Great atmosphere and a fun time! The staff actually takes time to teach you and your party how to throw so that you make the most of your time. As first timers, you will walk in as novices and leave amazed and surprised at how many times you actually nailed the shot. Fun time, we'll designed space, m and in a great location near TCU.

I was looking for something to do on a Sunday night and I found this place on the good olé yelp. I've never thrown Axes before so I thought it would of been a great adventure. So when I got here I was looking for parking and parking wasn't bad. There is a lot of street parking and a large parking lot in the back. The parking lot is well lit so I feel pretty safe leaving my truck there for the amount of time I will be there. As soon as I got there I received a great and happy welcome from the owner. I signed the standard waiver and they introduced me to the bar which I was fairly happy see. Then since it was our first time ever throwing axes we received great tutorial for throwing them. After the tutorial we were off and running. We had a blast learning and trying something new. After we were done the owner took his time to meet us. He was a good guy and I was happy my money was going to a good business owner. I would highly recommend this place to all that would love to try something new.

For most others, there's plenty of accessible parking and it's kinda tucked away in it's own lot. The burger offered was the "Our Taphouse" - a dry ranch seasoned beef patty with shredded cheese and topped with carmelized onions, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and bacon jam. The burger was definitely good. It's messy since there are some more toppings prone to falling out. I will say that in terms of taste, it was a bit too sweet for my preference. I think it was the combination of carmelized onions and bacon jam that made it too much for me that it overwhelmed the savoriness that I'd prefer to be the main flavor with the burger. This time I didn't dine in personally but I will say that the place looks like it has a nice vibe to it, especially outside. It looks like there's plenty of seating with an area for musicians to perform. I'm looking forward to coming back one day and maybe watching a game and getting a drink.

So perfect, in fact, that he made a happy plate and sat there looking proud of himself like one of our grand children who just finished all their broccoli. Being new to the area, we're still finding our go‑to spots and this one officially made the list. We'll most certainly be back.

I don't drink alcohol, but I do love food, and Fridays is Fish and Chips day! My partner took me along for lunch, I am usually not off work during that time, and the fish and chips were great. The breading and Cod was perfectly cooked. I even enjoyed the coleslaw which was house-made. A little vinegar on the chips and ketchup on the fries and I was so happy this place is a walk away from my house. I wish I had gone sooner! Food is only served during lunch hours, but there is a family dinner on Monday evenings that is free. I have not made it to that yet, but intend to go! Last week was fried pork chips. I can't believe I missed it! The dining area is in the back of the bar. They say they are going to redecorate that space and it needs it as it looks like an after thought. There is no good table arrangement, and sitting at the small bar is awkward when trying to eat. Get it to go, or eat anywhere you can and enjoy the conversation. My complete meal would have been 5 stars if the fries had been hand cut and house made, but the fish and coleslaw make it 5 stars anyway, and coming in at $10 you can't beat it. I will definitely go back, and soon! They also offer catfish and sometimes fried shrimp. Go on Friday and enjoy the cool old building, the friendly staff, and casual atmosphere. More importantly, enjoy the food!

I've been to this location many times, and also the one in Houston. For those who aren't familiar with it, they offer a variety of beers from local brews to beers you'd normally have to travel internationally to find. They also serve a variety of food and other beverages (non beer) It was a lovely evening (temperature-wise) when we stopped by, and we so rarely get those, and we opted to sit outside. I've been inside and there plenty of seating, a couple different areas/rooms, everything is clean, and it feels like a fun, lively, yet cozy pub experience. Outdoors was similar. We sat at a table and played a couple games we brought from home. It was great people watching Our server was very attentive and friendly. We got our drinks in no time, and they were there to continuously check in on us (without hovering). We ordered beers, cocktails, and a little snack (sweet potato fries), and everything was delightful Some tips: Parking can be tricky downtown, but there are plenty of parking garages. I would also consider a ride share just to be safe and to maybe continue the night bar hopping (assuming other bars are open lol). Sundance is right around the corner, and it's definitely worth a stroll if the weather cooperates Also, as I mentioned above, they serve non-beer drinks. So, don't feel obligated to order a beer if that's not your thing. They've also offered a "beer-tour" in the past. Ask your server about that Cheers!!
