At checkout, the older woman working as the cashier mumbled under her breath as she was ringing me up which I assumed was her talking to herself/noting what the costs were to ring up. She told me the total and I swiped my card not thinking too much of it. When I got back to my car I realized the math didn't quite add up. I checked the receipt and realized the jewelry beads were not discounted so I went back inside to request a price verification. I was rudely told that she had told me those weren't on sale - which maybe she did whilst she was mumbling but I hadn't acknowledged it as I didn't actually hear it. I let her know if they weren't on sale then I'd like to return those items. Thankfully a manager stepped in and let her know the beads were indeed on sale and showed her where it said so on the weekly flyer. The cashier apologized to the manager - not me.

But when we got there, we were told they couldn't honor the birthday pricing because it's now a new month (even though we're literally only a couple days into April). There was no flexibility or effort to make an exception, even seeing how excited he was. We were fully planning to buy outfits and extras, but instead we were told we'd have to pay full price for everything. The interaction felt cold and dismissive, and we ended up leaving with both of my kids upset. It was especially disappointing because we had a great experience for my other son's birthday earlier this year. This time felt completely different like there was no interest in making it special for the kids. I understand policies exist, but a little kindness and flexibility can go a long way especially in a place that's supposed to create magical moments for children. Do better

Ms. Haley, and Ms. Melissa, were just fantastic. They helped me just absolutely whirlwind a stack of gifts. Im sure they had other work that needed to be done before closing, they were patient and kind and incredibly efficient, and didn't make me feel like a bother or rude even though it was so close to closing. And took me thought a whole wrapping design concept, to make sure everything matched inside and out. As a shopper, who failed to plan ahead, I knew that the store had other responsibilities aside from my "I need this wrapped RIGHT now" situation. And halfway through my wrapping a flurry of customers came in the store, I didn't make any comments, it would have been TOTALLY reasonable for Haley and Melissa to politely tell me "Sir we close in 15 minutes and have 10 other customers, you can pick this up first thing in the morning." But they didn't leave me hanging, their communication and teamwork together was stellar; one would tag out help customers, make sure that they had a good experience, while the other attended to me; then if someone else needed help, one would leave the wrapping table while the other moved in seamlessly - to make sure my deadline was met. They still took the time to give attention to any small details, like cutting tails in the ribbon or making sure my gifts had nice tags; even though they were under the clock. They worked quickly without working hastily, it was efficient not rushed. I watched these two women set a wrapping design/speed record, while attending to 6-8 other active customers. Everyone was happy, laughing together, no one felt like I was getting prioritized and I didn't feel like I got pushed to the bottom of the importance list. Because of their skill, effort, and kindness I was able to make my event on time and share a few special last moments of heartfelt gift giving with one of my closest friends before his move. These two woman completed the amount of work of 4 staff members without breaking a sweat, with a smile on their face. This is my new go to store, and Paper Source is very lucky to have them both.

This particular Stacy's Hallmark Shop is my go-to location for greeting cards and often other fun items which make great gifts. Unfortunately my wife and her family aren't into greeting cards, but I still make trips every month or two to this Hallmark shop. I typically have Crown Rewards coupons before I even step foot in the store. I enjoy getting a free Just Because card each month and then I think of which occasions I need a card for. A birthday. A wedding. A new baby. A thank you. A congratulations. A holiday. An anything. When you first enter the store, there are gifts immediately to your left and right. The register is in the middle of the store, and the cards on the back half of the store. Clearance items are immediately to your right against the wall. Fancy cards are in the middle aisle across from the Just Because cards. The staff are also helpful when you ask them a question. If you need a mailbox, there is one just outside the front doors. Also, when you make a purchase, you are always asked if you want gold seals for free on your way out. They also sometimes have physical coupons they give you for your next order even if you don't have a Crown Rewards account. Today, I received a "Big Heart, Sweet Perks" coupon of $5 off a $20 purchase starting in a week for the rest of February and March. The coupon can also be used online. If you join Crown Rewards, you can earn points on every order, get rewards to save on orders, get free shipping on $30+ and my favorite part of Crown Rewards: occasional reward or bonus dollars, buy one get one free cards, and free monthly cards. I have learned that sometimes the bonuses and rewards do not work well in-store (especially at this particular Hallmark shop) though they often work well together online. I enjoy using the app, which I only learned about recently. Instead of printing up the coupons or showing each one individually from an e-mail, you can access them all in one place on the app, and some coupons even take place automatically without you even realizing (often the bonus points).
