i haven't been to build-a-bear in quite a while (since i was a kid actually) but i still got the same nostalgic and comfy feeling as i stepped inside. despite it being a sunday during summer break, it wasn't super crowded inside which was nice. the service here was above and beyond when it came to friendliness! the workers here were so nice and willing to assist my family and i. there's a pretty neat selection here, from the standard mainstay build-a-bears to sanrio-themed ones (my achilles heel!). there's also mini plushies as well! today there was a 2 for $45 deal on build-a-bears which was an unbelievably great deal. overall, my family and i's experience here was wonderful and i hope to come here again sometime in the future!

We celebrated our daughter's 2nd birthday party here and the store manager Kayla was fantastic. The party was a lot of fun for the 2 year olds and everything was fun. The staff was very helpful and the experience was positive. I highly recommend them!!

This is an awesome Build a Bear! I have gone to Build a Bear for years! I go for family, dates, kids and mire. Meaning I've done tons and tons of purchases for them. Every time I come in the staff is amazing. Some people may think it's weird to purchase a stuffed animal but I don't! I don't have any Build a Bears myself but as a die hard bears fan and a die hard sports fan Elizabeth showed me the items online that I could purchase. I'm moving to a new apartment so I'm thinking they would look good with my collectibles! Then I met Heather. She was in great spirits and told me about the Pokémon releases and then told me about the the upcoming Halloween releases. I'm going to surprise some Family with those releases too! Lol The store was very clean with a lot of great social distancing, by the stuffing area for the bears it was roped off. The girls did an amazing job helping out with every question that I had too! They were so kind, funny, sweet, and overall amazing customer service. It's been a while since I've been to a Build a Bear that had such amazing customer service. No offense to the others but these girls were on their game! I will be coming back for just that reason. I'm the type that enjoys customer service and that's why I am a regular at certain places as a collector. So come in and get your Bears custom made, a birth certificate, a box, new clothes and some positive vibes for whoever! :)

We had plans for our daughter's 9th birthday party at home to include swimming in the pool. Since we moved to Arizona from Ohio we falsely assumed the pool would still be warm. Wrong! Anyhow we've been to the Build A Bear Workshop in Mentor and our daughter was excited to go back and so the day before her party we decided to take the girls here. We. Allen and confirmed that no reservation is necessary. It was a rare slow Saturday around 5:00 and all the ladies there were extremely helpful and so good at making Grace's birthday very very special. Highly recommended. We spent about $35 per child for 7 girls as party of one of the party package options.

Great and fast service. I was able to get the Suns bear that I wanted when I had to make a brief stop in Arizona this Veteran's day week. Thank you Scottsdale Build a Bear!

Parking is NO issue at all at this location. They have so many spots available given the strip outlet location it's in. I do recommend not wearing any thick or heavy clothes and bringing as little items as possible, because you will be moving A LOT and sweating will be your enemy. They have a bar and restaurant as well, but we didn't get a chance to go. Definitely will be back, and next time need to go for 4 hours! I think we did 2 hours and it didn't feel like enough time.

We tried one game about 8 times and made zero progress so just quit trying. 2. Some of the games are extremely physical. If you pass level one of a game, you move to level two. If you fail level two, you restart the entire game. This happened to us in one of the room several times. I like the concept, but both of these things are incredibly frustrating. We'll probably go back and see if we're any smarter or fitter than we were before. If you're in great physical shape, this is a good place to exert a lot of energy!

Really glad we did as we spent the better part of the day with no kids/grandkids (hope to bring them one day) enjoying the park. The locals are really lucky to have such a gem near-by to enjoy. So many things to enjoy from a train ride ($3) per ride or you can buy a day pass for $12 which includes the Carousel (pretty sure). There is a shaded playground and splash area (free) with picnic tables located throughout the park. We saw several parties going on at different covered areas (assume u can rent), and there is the Family Circus pavilion with tables near the snack bar Snack Bars (2) - one building and one in a Caboose near playground. The prices are really reasonable and a nice menu (chicken tenders, corn dogs). The ice-cream sucked us in with "Superman" which takes me back to childhood in the mid-west. Prices were great and the Staff even greater as they were super friendly (could be a name of a new ice-cream flavor). Tables located inside if needed to beat the heat. There is a gift shop with unique items to the park(t-shirts. stickers, stuff animals, puzzles etc.) a museum with the history of the park & the Family behind it. We spent the best part of the morning walking around the park, riding the train and exploring the miniature train building which in itself is amazing and beats some that we paid to visit. They have all the sizes on displays that I am sure a lot of spouses are happy that they are there and not in the basement or family room. These dioramas are intricate and beautifully done for each gauge of train with historic scenes to cool pop-culture ones. You could walk around a dozen times & probably see something you missed each time. They definitely spend a lot of time, money & energy to keep it up. Restrooms located throughout the park, easy free parking and a lot to see & do, if you have kids or grandkids or just a big kid yourself.

I really loved the projected scenes on the walls at the entryway. I also think it's really cute that they take your picture when you get to aquarium. We did not purchase our photo although it was very nice one. It was just a little too pricey, $30 for one photo if I am not mistaken. I personally love to go to the aquarium to see their variety of jellyfish and stingrays, and I am always especially happy when they have puffer fish. I was in luck. Not only did they have a wonderful, huge amazing display of jellyfish, but they also had the cutest display of puffer fish. I was finally able to show my daughter what they look like up close. That was pretty special to me. And even better, as I took a picture of these puffer fish on my phone, they noticed my sparkly keychain. When they saw that, they were drawn to it. They came right up to the glass. My daughter was in awe. The aquarium has this amazing rotating display. At first, I didn't know what to think about it. I didn't quite understand what it was. So of course, naturally, my family and I had to check it out. You are seated in a small auditorium. Their seats are more than comfortable, and the auditorium is very well air-conditioned. It takes you through a series of different huge displays. One of them features some of the most beautiful stingrays I've ever seen. Another features sea lions. And of course, a few feature the different fish and sharks. I have never in my life experienced a presentation like that. It was amazing. If we had had more time, I probably would've wanted to watch the presentation a second time. My kiddo isn't so young and teeny tiny anymore, but there are lots of little kids play areas at the aquarium. There is what I called the water table. There is running water that flows through there and the kids are able to use flat panels of plastic to redirect the water through this kind of maze if you will. That's a big favor. Be sure you have paper towels on hand for when your kiddo is done here. They will most likely be wet up to their elbows. It's a cute and fun way to make friends too. They are different opportunities for visitors to get more up close and impersonal with a variety of animals that they have here at the aquarium. We did not participate. One day, hopefully we can. There was so much to see. Everyone at the aquarium was so friendly. There are some Touch pools and opportunities for kids to pet different sea plants and small animals. That is always fun. One thing I had never seen before was a Starbucks inside of a aquarium. This is not just any Starbucks my friends. This particular Starbucks understands that parents need a break too. I'm not talking strictly about coffee. The Starbucks inside of this aquarium offers a small variety of adult drinks. Yes, you heard me correctly. They offered beer. I believe they also offer a few seltzers. Anyway, I thought that was pretty cool. My family and I didn't have an opportunity to actually enjoy anything from Starbucks, but we did take notice of their offerings. If you will be in the area for a couple of days, this is easily one of the better things to be able to take advantage of. If you purchased your aquarium tickets along with tickets to other attractions at the Arizona Boardwalk at the same time, you can create a ticket bundle. In doing so, you will receive a discount on your tickets. I can't quite remember what the percentage off amount was. However, we did purchase tickets to the aquarium as well as to the Museum of illusions. I think that might've given us 20 or 30% off of the combined ticket price. Definitely check it out online. It was a good deal. Parking here is free. They have lots completely around the entire boardwalk area. I really enjoy the boardwalk space. There is a large courtyard in the middle. It is great and perfect space for kids to come and enjoy lunch outside, especially for small schools that come to visit for a field trip. It really is just a beautiful spot. The aquarium and our experience at the boardwalk area was phenomenal. You must take a moment to check out the bathroom. Initially, I thought the whole little thing about the bathroom being cool was some sort of a joke or just something funny to post. But no, it really is pretty awesome. People often flock to the bathroom just to check that out. It can make for kind of a tight situation when the bathroom area is being crowded because people want to see the sharks. But, it was the one time that I could say that there were sharks in my bathroom. LOL Our visit here worked out perfectly. We came here right after breakfast and by the time that we left, it was definitely time for a little bit of a late lunch. There is definitely more than enough for everyone here.

Visitors are given a butterfly guide in the beginning, but some of the butterflies fluttered their wings so quickly nonstop, it was sometimes hard to identify. The big blue one (blue morpho, I believe) looked like a bird as it soared in and out of the plants and overhead. There were so many butterflies in the air, on the leaves and flowers, they even had signs noting how you could get them to land on you as well. The random music in the background wasn't too loud.
