My partner and I came in around 5PM on a Sunday. There were a couple of NFL games going on at the time, so a lot of people were across the street occupying the beer garden. This may have contributed to the restaurant being mostly empty with only one other party coming in for an early dinner. Nonetheless, my partner and I weren't too hungry so we opted to share an appetizer, an entree, and drink. We ordered their popular Corn Fritters ($16) and Tsukune Sando ($18). Unfortunately, both left more to be desired. The corn fritters felt pretty basic, almost like a glorified bite of corn bread with an oddly placed side of strawberry jam, while the Tsukune Sando suffered from similar issues. The chicken and pork patties were juicy, but the entirety of the burger was lathered in a Japanese BBQ sauce that overpowered the entire thing. I struggled to grasp much of the different flavor components present, and it also ended up being incredibly messy as the sauce and egg soaked everything resulting in a deconstructed sandwich--fork and knife approach. Both items just didn't hit the mark. The Corn Fritters were enjoyable, but the Tsukune Sando was mostly a flop. For those prices, my partner and I just expected more. The service and ambiance, however, were great. I'd consider it be a date spot kind of place, where music is subtle music is playing in the dimly lit atmosphere--customer sipping on wine while indulging in nice conversation over a meal. The restaurant was well decorated and spacious, creating a cozier atmosphere that contributes to the more casual feel. There seemed to be only one server, who was kind and attentive throughout the entire meal. Overall, it was a fair experience trying a new spot. We didn't do too much research and seemed to have missed out on their rotisserie & BBQ Specialties. I'd definitely return to give them a try, but as of now, it hasn't quite lived up to its reviews' hype.

I wanted to love this place - Michelin clearly adores it, but Yelp reviews are all over the place. My experience was that the food was good (corn fritters were pretty solid, and the meats were well-made), but service was a bit lacking (mostly because they're understaffed, which is understandable given the economy and food industry challenges. It's a plentiful meal, and you're not going to feel ripped off eating here. The pork shoulder is fantastic; tri-tip was good, and the sausage and chicken were wonderful. I didn't see dessert options (we weren't offered any, and I'm not seeing any on the website). Lovely restaurant in Alameda that's definitely worth a stop, but something just felt off about the evening we went.

I've been here a few times now. Been happy every time. The service is good, very friendly and attentive staff. I like the decor and energy of the place. It's a come as yourself and dress comfortably and not wear a collar shirt fancy place. Prices are also reasonable. My only complaint is parking can be a pain but I can't blame Spinning Bones for that. I usually get the pork/chicken Patty sandwich who's is just . This visit, they had a special fried rice. I can't remember everything in it but it had bacon and egg. Can't go wrong with that. We had the pate as well and it's AMAZING every time. They have a kids bento box option plus crayons and books to keep the littles busy. A must try if you are in the area.

The three of us came for Linner, just before 4pm. It was empty. We got the Corn fritters, Beet salad, and Trip's Triple. Every single bite was Devine. I mean, this food is lit. It's fire. Service was great. I'd absolutely come back again, and try more items on the list, as well as repeat everything we ordered.

I really wanted to like this place, but my visit was a letdown. The corn fritter was over-fried to the point of being dry and tough, losing any of the flavor or texture that would make it enjoyable. My breakfast sando came out with the bun noticeably burnt, which overpowered everything else in the sandwich. When I mentioned it to the server, nothing was done--no apology, no replacement, not even an acknowledgment beyond hearing my comment. For the price, I expected better execution and a bit more care in both the food and the service. Alameda has plenty of great spots for breakfast and brunch, and unfortunately, this one didn't measure up for me. I'd recommend exploring other options in town instead.

I came on a Friday for date night and it was really lively and had very unique decor. Here's what we got: Double Dutch: 8/10 all the meats were soft and tender. I didn't love the bbq sauce it was a little sweet for me but the chimichurri was good. The roti though was the star. Corn fritters: 8/10 id say this is more like a dessert it comes with a strawberry jam. Yummy with a good texture Parking was fine, there is plenty just a few blocks away.

A quirky menu that encourages you to try several things at once. I had... 1. bacon edamame - a different take on a favorite. It worked for me but I had to experiment a bit to get the bacon and edamame in the same bites. 2. Rotisserie cauliflower - a decadent way to enjoy veggies! 3. Salmon with wild mushroom risotto - highlight of the dinner! Salmon was cooked to perfection. Risotto oh so rich and creamy. Both done exactly the way they should be. (Why is (good) risotto so hard to find?)

Came here on a date night, had a reservation and got seated asap. Service was good and quick. Plates came out bigger than expected which is always a joy. This isn't your traditional southern bbq, had more of an Asian fusion twist, but it was really delicious! Meat came right off the ribs, and everything was super tender. However honestly the sauces were what really stole the show for me that night. The garlic jalapeño sauce that came with the trips trio was soooo good, spinning bones needs to start selling them in jars so I can bring one home. Overall would come back again just for the sauces. Meats are an added plus ;)

5/5 Everything lived up to the hype- from the drinks to the dessert. I anticipate coming back. First time coming in, we made reservations on a Saturday afternoon. It wasn't busy at all, we could walked in & still been immediately seated. The ambiance was quaint, very chic decor. A casual place with phenomenal cuisine.

We've been coming here any time we get a chance to when we pass thru Alameda. For a restaurant that specializes in rotisserie meats, their vegetarian options are fantastic. The rainbow rice is a well balanced, tart, and refreshing dish that I would heartily recommend for anyone who is vegetarian/vegan. If you want to try their meat dishes I would recommend with going with the triple to get a taste of everything. Or if you come in on a Sunday, their prime rib is amazing as well. Outdoor seating is available in the front of the restaurant, the inside seating is cozy as well. The service is quick and they usually have some limited time specials on the menu that are always worth trying. If you get the chance to, their holiday set meals to take home/reheat at home are also great. This past Thanksgiving we had their set meal with a rotisserie ham which everyone praised.

The service was wonderful but I was underwhelmed by the food. Started with the chicken salad and the corn fritters. The corn fritters were just ok, I didn't feel like there was corn inside it was more corn mixed into the dough which tasted like funnel cake. The chicken salad was better but needed more chicken I thought. As my entree I got the Bones Burger and the highlight there was the potato salad that came on the side. If I could have gotten just a plateful of that potato salad I would have given 5 stars. The burger meat was lacking seasonings, and the bun they used is just too much bread so I ate the second half of my burger sans bun. The pickled onions weren't super pickled either and tasted more like raw onions. I did see they had some Michelin signs up so I would come back and try some other dishes but I wasn't super impressed the first time around unfortunately.

But the food looked good, as you can see in my photos. Good amount of beef on top of Zucchini spaghetti. How did it taste? The sauce tastes good. I miss the creamy texture of real spaghetti. Also, the sauce is watery. To be gluten free, I think you can still add more cheese and thicker tomato sauce. Maybe the problem is the veggie noodles don't soak up the extra liquid, and you end up with a pool of watery sauce. Benedict (buttermilk biscuit, dungeness crab cakes, marinated swiss chard & beet greens, herbed hollandaise, poached eggs & mixed greens): I'm not a huge benedict person because they can feel heavy, but this one was fantastic. I loved the textures and flavors of the crab cakes pairing with the greens and vegetables. It felt balanced and not too creamy or exhausting to eat. It definitely stands out from the run-of-the-mill brunch benedict. Vegetable Hash (roasted sweet potatoes, garnet yams, sunchokes, cauliflower, cremini mushrooms, celery root & onion, savoy spinach & poached eggs): This was also delicious and also set itself apart from the standard brunch hash. I loved the different vegetables in it besides being just potatoes and onions. The mushrooms and root vegetables worked really well together. Everything was well-seasoned. I'm glad we ended up choosing these dishes even though neither were my original top choices (I decided on the menu with my friend). It made me feel like you can choose anything and it'd be a banger. We were quite full from these dishes, and we forget we also ordered beignets to come out last. They were fluffy and mostly air (but not in a bad way). The service throughout the meal was good. We were checked on from time-to-time and our waters were refilled, although I wish the water glasses were a little bigger. One small thing to note was that we were given the check while we were still eating, even though the restaurant was still seating people despite it being close to closing time. Unsure if/why we were rushed like this. Overall, this was a memorable brunch spots I've been to in the Bay (dare I say one of the best?). We left smelling like a campfire. I would recommend it.

He couldn't find the location of the restaurant on his mobile phone, so I called to find out where were they located. (Location is near the BART Station. It used to be a Chinese restaurant.) He was eager to try the bison stew. We didn't arrive at the restaurant until 1:45, 15 minutes before they were closing. Perusing the menu, we decided to order two bowls of bison stew. The choice of side was fry bread, tortilla, tortilla chips or cornbread. Since it was almost closing time, the waitress brought only one bowl of bison stew and the frybread. They ran out of the stew. My date didn't get cornbread. He was disappointed and somewhat wasn't feeling like having anything. Well, I don't operate like that - eat and don't share what I am having. Mama taught me better. The waitress brought a small bowl and a serving utensil, so my date and I could enjoy the stew and frybread. When I am blessed, the blessing is shared. My date and I never had frybread. He wasn't sure about the frybread. Myself, I am adventurous in eating something that I am willing to try the first time. The bison stew and frybread were bomb-diggity delicious. So tasty and perfectly seasoned that I wanna slap the cook and his/her mama. (Figuratively speaking. LOL) Minor drawback: Flatware was not provided. I can't slurp hot piping stew from the bowl. Asked and we received. It was all good. Return visit: Mos Def, and I am not talking about the rapper. That bison stew is hella delicious. There are no words to describe the frybread, as it left me grinning from ear to ear. Besides, there are other items on the menu I would like to enjoy, and savor the flavorings of delicious food. Bon appetite!

Using the Seamless App, I ordered the Impossible Burger and an order of Tater Tots. Plant B's Impossible Burger is actually pretty good, Grade (4/5). It has a nice balance of flavors and spice. I'm guessing veggie burgers have come a long way since I first tried them 15 yrs ago. Most important, the Impossible Burger doesn't try to be something it's not, it doesn't try to pretend it's red meat. It just tastes good. However, it's a small hamburger. The patty is probably close to a "10:1" patty....aka "10 to 1." That means it takes 10 precooked meat patties to equal 1-lb. Example: a Big Mac uses 10:1 patties. Tater Tots, Grade (4/5). Travels well for delivery. Generous serving. Crispy and soft inside. So, a good meal from a cloud kitchen inside the Oakland Food Hall. Cloud Kitchens have no dining room, and are for delivery or pickup only. Order thru apps or website. Would I order again? Yes, maybe try something else. It's cool to try new concepts in foods.

I came here last night for a personal event. I told the owner that I was not going to do a review…read moretonight, but he actually stated for me to do one... so here it goes. For the event, we had reserved labels on our tables. The waiter took drink orders, then food orders. I came late and requested to be the last one to place a food and drink order because I did not want to hold the others up. The waiter forgot about me. He never returned. Fortunately, a waitress was bringing something over to a table buddy of mine and I was able to place my order with her. However, I ordered 2 drinks. One was supposed to come immediately after ordering and the other with my food. The waitress said she was going to try to plan the one with my food so it came out together. She forgot about my 1st drink until reminded almost 20 mins later. I ordered my food which was $17.50 sliders with a substitute of fries $2.. and add bacon $2. When my food came, it came with some sort of greens (Arugula salad..I think) and a side of fries. I don't understand why I got salad because I substituted it for fries. My fries came out first, which made no sense because I ordered my food together. However, upon tasting the fries.. they were cold in some parts..smh. I sent them back for hot fries. The sliders seemed overcooked because they were dry. I'm used to sliders being juicy and soft. My sliders were hard...smh. I did not bother to send them back because I was with many people and I really did not feel like going through the motions tonight..as I normally would have of my food order is just wrong. When the bill came, I noticed that they charged me $9 for a large fries. If it was only +2 to substitute... why did I get charge that? I went on and paid it without complaints. There were at least 4 ppl who ordered food before me and they still did not get their food and it was like an hour passing. I had 2 glasses of wine (Malbec & Blanc). Both were good. I loved the fact that they had karaoke. However, I disliked the fact that people who had gone once still went a 2nd time although there were plenty of people who still had not gone a 1st time. I think this place is chill. They need to do better with accomodating larger parties in both a timely manner and effectively ensuring food is correct, hot and cooked to perfection. I think they probably do best with a table of 4 or 5 ppl. Lastly, it was super hot in here. Yes there are ceiling fans. However, it seems that they have no central air whatsoever. That's ridiculous. Oh BTW.. no waiter ever came back to our table to ask if we wanted to order anything more. They also did not come over to ask if the food was good either. Our finshed plates say in front of us from the time we got it until almost 11pm. I would say that my table received food by 8:30ish.

Yes!! Try this place and hear's why. Tucked into a small strip in Alameda, this spot is a gem. The…read morespace is beautiful--clean, stylish, and surprisingly calming. Service was quiet but attentive, which made the whole experience feel effortless. The food was the real star. We started with the Brussels sprouts (light, crispy, and perfectly cooked), calamari (well‑seasoned and not heavy at all), and warm biscuits with whipped honey butter--so good. The clam chowder stole the show for us: poured tableside, rich but not heavy, and full of flavor. For entrées, the seafood pasta was fantastic, the lobster rigatoni was delicious (just wished for a bit more lobster), the ribeye was cooked perfectly, and the lamb--while tasty--could've used a touch more time. Overall, this place is an easy 5 stars. Beautiful atmosphere, great service, and memorable food. I'll definitely be back to try the dishes we couldn't get to.

A friend of mine told us about this place so we needed a new place to go so here we are. I made…read morereservations since there was originally going to be 7 of us. I was surprised that I didn't have to hold the reservations with a credit card which was nice. We arrived a few minutes early and waited just a few minutes before our table was ready. As soon as we sat down the hostess asked if we needed any waters. Our waiter Jacob also came around right away to see if we wanted to order any drinks, we ordered the old fashioned, the Mai tai special, and margarita. Drinks came back pretty quick which was good. All the drinks tasted pretty good. For starters we ordered the calamari for the table, fruit salad, clam chowder, and a wedge salad. The calamari came out first, it was cooked perfect, had good flavor to it, the Brussel sprouts mixed with it was tasty, and the lemon sauce that came with it was refreshing. The clam chowder was excellent but it was more like a cup than a bowl. The wedge salad was okay, I've never had eggs in my wedge before, and it could use some better bacon bits or whatever it was for the bits of meat. The fruit salad was great. For our entrees we ordered the Ribeye, the Lamb chops, the Pork chop, the New York or Sirloin, and the Duck Breast. The good thing is that all of the entrees came with sides versus a la cart. The entrees came out after a while which wasn't too bad. It seemed like they only had one waiter taking orders for all the tables. Ribeye, Lamb Chops, Pork Chop Sirloin, and the Duck Breast were cooked perfect, med rare, and great flavor on all the meats. The ribeye was a little tough which was weird since it was cooked perfect., so I don't why that was. All the sides (cream spinach, mashed potatoes, corn, brussel sprouts) were very good. For dessert we shared the Strawberry Shortcake and the Churros. Two great desserts, fluffy bread, tasty strawberries, the sauce was perfect, the churros came out hot, nice crunch to them, and the flavor was great. Overall, a great place to have dinner. The restaurant has plenty of seating. We go all around the bay area and I believe prices are pretty high for drinks, soups, salads, and desserts. We didn't have any Italian food but looking at the menu, they could be just a tad high as well. Our waiter Jacob did a great job.

Review is for the London Bus Burger, Louie Louie (soft-shelled crab) and onion rings! The Bureau 510 gets their burgers right: lightly seasoned, not overly handled so you can feel the wonderful texture along with some major juiciness. Also a big plus is their meat-to-bun ratio so you get a nice bite of burger with the sturdy yet soft bun. The Louie Louie looked amazing. My 2 friends ordered that and devoured. It was lightly battered, not greasy and a nice size. Onion rings were house-made and equally light with a beer batter. Delicious! Staff very welcoming, friendly and checked on us a couple of times. Menu has plenty of options to choose from. The Bureau 510 did a great job (has me craving more!) this visit so will definitely return to try items like the fish and chips, clam chowder and Chef Specials. Pricing is in line with other like places. Plenty of metered street parking. Another location in Emeryville I'll need to check out :)
